Back again? You bet your ass I am! Welcome back ladies and gents to the next chapter in this crazy journey. Well, I don't wanna keep you any longer and I have to admit I'm itching to get this part of the story rolling along.
Enjoy!
As Natsu's body floated in a white expanse of nothingness, he began to sense a trace of several dense sources of magic. They were very large as well, while on a similar scale similar to his own, the difference in density was substantial. He was much stronger than the unidentified sources of magic. Were they threats?
He was about to find out, as in the next few seconds he could see a small window in the distance. It was no larger than an apple and in the shape of an arch with a flat bottom. That window suddenly appeared in front of his face, filling his vision within the next instant as it swirled in a colorful vortex of deep purples and blues. The window itself was much larger than first thought, as it now stood at least a hundred feet tall, rimmed in solid gold with a large silver bulb protruding from the top of the archway.
Natsu considered his form to be quite large in all honesty, already being more muscular and bigger than Acnologia overall. If he had to guess, he was at least five to ten feet taller as well, but he still felt small facing the miasma of magic.
Aside from the strange doorway, there was a force from the space. So much so Natsu almost had to lean his massive body away from the gateway, so as to not be forcefully pulled in. His eyes narrowed at this, he couldn't back out now. He moved to step forward when the gate in front of him began to close.
Two massive metallic doors came into view within the swirling blues and purples, each threatening to trap him within the white nothingness that surrounded him.
He wasn't about to let that happen.
He lowered his horned head and charged ahead, his hind legs springing his hulking form forward. His head made contact with the nearly completely closed doors and he strained to not lose ground. While there wasn't much of an actual ground to push against, Natsu knew he was gaining leverage on something, and he wasn't about to question it.
He lowered his shoulders and tensed his arms and legs. This was strange, he could feel a familiar magic on the other side. It wasn't a bad sort of familiarity, one that actually would've brought a smile to his face in different circumstances. All he knew right now was that he was being stopped from getting to Mira, if Acnologia bothered to keep her alive. The thought made his teeth gnash.
Spreading his wings out to either side of himself, he prepared to crash through the doors in one giant surge. If this didn't work he might have to resort to magic, then things would get messy. And he didn't want to hurt anyone by accident.
With a huff his muscles exploded as Natsu's head pushed against the closing doors. He didn't let up, focusing on keeping the pressure on the door to keep it from closing any further than it had. Which was more than he cared to admit, there was only a good couple feet of space between the two doors as he continued to strain against the force from the other side. This was much more difficult than he thought it should have been, what the heck was going on over there?
On the other side of the Eclipse Gate…
"Keep it up! You're almost there!"
"Don't give in!"
"Please, work!"
Hundreds of soldiers, knights, royal guards, even Hisui E. Fiore was present with her right hand knight, Arcadios before the great Eclipse Gate.
The princess had made a grave error in trusting a denizen from the future with only selfish desire, and as such from the Eclipse Gate burst several dragons, not a weapon to kill thousands of dragons. Instead of saving her nation, she had doomed it. But there was a chance left.
Lucy Heartfilia and Yukino Agria.
The two Celestial mages from the Grand Magic Games the same day, rather Lucy was. As Yukino had been kicked out of her guild partway through the competition by her own Guild Master after losing to Kagura from Mermaid Heel. Even with the loss, her strength as a mage was never in question, she stood facing the Fairy Tail mage, their hands clasped tightly together.
Both mages were encased in golden magical energy as they summoned forth all 12 golden gate keys of the zodiac. The Celestial Spirits burst forth from their keys as yet another dragon had come through the portal. Every moment wasted was another flying lizard of mass destruction that threatened to destroy them all. This was their last chance!
The spirits lined the rim of the gate, forcing the doors shut before another dragon came through. It was closing quickly and easily enough with practically no resistance, right up until the end that is. With so much as a glimmer of the white abyss of the Eclipse Gate, there was a tremendous force pushing against it.
Lucy and Yukino felt the sudden increase in difficulty. From a gentle stream to trying to row up a waterfall, both mages' magic was being drained rapidly after summoning all 12 of the golden gate keys. Lucy significantly more so, as she had 10 gates to open. Even by splitting the cost with Yukino, she was the original contractor to her spirits, so they would be more inclined to use their master's magic. This was a shitty time to find out how loyal her spirits were.
Still she grit her teeth as hers and Yukino's eyes both remained shut in deep concentration to seal the Eclipse Gate as quickly as possible. But it still wasn't budging an inch.
In fact, the doorway had opened back up slightly. The Celestial Spirits themselves were beginning to show signs of fatigue as they too were being pushed back by the force on the other side of the door.
Hisui's personal guard, Arcadios, stared intensely at the meager opening of the massive doorway. He was sure of it, the golden zodiac keys were being pushed back, as the next dragon forced its way through. He gulped as he turned towards the princess and pulled her with him, in an attempt to get as far away from the capitol as possible.
"Arcadios! What do you think you are doing?" Hisui regained her balance after being jerked away from the gate.
"We must evacuate, Princess. It is not safe here, leave the rest to the wizards." The loyal knight pleaded to her highness. His attempt to keep the princess out of harm's way fell on deaf ears however as she just turned back to the two female mages with looks of intense focus on their faces. The princesses' own features seemed to try to mirror theirs as she hoped against all odds, she hadn't brought the ruin of her home or her people.
That was when the 12 Celestial Spirits were sent flying in every direction. Each one crashing into a building, streetlight, or in Taurus' case, even into some soldiers.
Yukino was knocked to the ground and unconscious while Lucy was sent spiraling along the ground before making contact with Capricorn. The goat man in his dapper butler attire keeping the blonde mage from tumbling any further.
"What happened? It was going so well!" Lucy stared through squinted eyes as dust blew outwards from the Eclipse Gate.
"Whatever dragon is on the other side of that gate, is very dangerous Ms. Lucy." Was all the overdressed goat man said in response. "Leave this place." He finally decided to add on before disappearing in a golden light. Along with the rest of the summoned spirits.
"Thanks for being so vague." Lucy sighed, dipping her head in disappointment.
A rumble in the ground snapped everyone's attention back to the very much so open gateway. Soldiers gulped in trepidation, knights readied their spears and Hisui's blood ran cold at what came through the whiteness of the time portal.
A mighty red scaled arm came through and steadied itself on the ground. The second the arm crossed the threshold of the doorway, heat washed over the masses in radiating waves. It was blistering in intensity, cracking the lips and scorching the throat with every breath. The claws were more pitch black than a starless night sky and pierced straight into the ground as they turned the cobblestone path into bubbling magma.
The arm itself was massive and well muscled with black swirling tribal tattoos running the length of it. Following the tribal markings to the shoulder, it was an easy assumption to assume the broad build of the next dragon. It was pulling itself through the gateway.
Lucy didn't like this one bit. First of all, Yukino was still passed out right in front of the gate!
"Open! Gate of the Maiden: Virgo!" From the ground between Lucy's feet appeared the head of a busty pink haired woman with a pixie cut. She had blank blue eyes and wore a maid's outfit all the way up to adding shackles around her wrists, of which could be seen as the spirit saluted her mistress.
"Punishment time, Princess?" The Maiden Spirit asked innocently, fully hoping and expecting a form of punishment after failing to close the gate. Lucy just huffed before giving Virgo a view of her face instead of under her skirt.
"Enough of that! And stop looking at my panties!" Virgo tried to hide her disappointment at this revelation, but didn't want to miss this opportunity to please her master.
"What shall you have me do, Princess?" She asked obediently.
"Go save Yukino before that scaly lizard squishes her, quickly!" Virgo saluted once more before returning to her underground tunnel. In the next few seconds, Lucy could see Yukino's unconscious form lowering into the ground. A few more seconds later and she was right next to Lucy, along with Virgo.
"Thank you, Virgo, you can go back now." Lucy thanked and dismissed her spirit. She was already evaluating Yukino's condition. Nothing more than some minor bruises and scrapes, lucky. She also had to try to save what little magic she had left.
After the failed attempt at shutting the doorway to the past, her magic reserves were beyond empty. Even after using her Second Origin, this was all she could manage.
"As you wish, Princess." A small curtsy from the maid dressed spirit and she vanished with a puff of smoke.
With Yukino not in immediate danger, Lucy looked back at the dragon that was much further out of the gate than last she checked. Too long apparently, as the whole of the massive scaled beast's body had crossed the threshold of the blank white gateway.
It was at this time she finally realized that the dragon was no longer moving. Its body had cleared the portal entirely but suddenly went still. It's lack of movement didn't do anything to quell the blistering heat it naturally radiated. It made just the mere task of looking at it feel as if her eyes would become sun dried tomatoes. And still she refused to look away.
The blond mage stared at a truly menacing red dragon. The blood red moon seemed to accent the dragon in its light as it stood there in all its draconic glory. It was well muscled with powerful looking legs and arms. The neck was at least as thick as its own abdomen with all the layers of crimson red scales that covered the upper spine.
This thing was built to survive any kind of lethal attacks to the back, making a frontal or aerial assault appear to be the only options. But this thing had wings, truly massive wings.
Said wings were currently being unfurled to their full wingspan of at least 150ft, showing off the bright yellow webbing and spiked arch at the apex.
Void black eyes with a three pronged crown of black horns jutting from the back of its jawbones. A pair of even longer, more frighteningly thick horns protruded from the back of its head.
The ground beneath her began to slightly tremble then, and in the next instant she had to shield her eyes lest they be boiled inside her own skull. Even then, the magical energy it began to exude had her head spinning. She was struggling just to not fall over.
"Royal Guard RETREAT!" Arcadios boomed across the courtyard to the still stunned guards and knights.
Before a single piece of chain mail could even begin to clink, a lead ball fell into the pit of every person's stomach at the same time.
The last dragon to appear from the Eclipse Gate finally began to move. It's shoulders lifted slightly as the fully flexed wings beginning to spark subtly.
Just the barest sparks had Lucy's skin run cold. She thought this thing was a fire dragon since it's red! Lightning? That's misleading as hell!
If Laxus or Natsu were here then maybe this wouldn't be so bad, she tried to find a silver lining. Tried.
This thing's aura alone would make a regular person pass out or run for their lives, if they could even move that is. The vast amount of magic that could be felt from merely being in the general vicinity of the dragon was nauseatingly dense.
Was this monster stronger than Laxus? Master? Gildarts even? Just the thought shook her to her core. There was only one other dragon she had met that made her feel so powerless. That didn't make her feel any better.
The dragon tilted its snout to the night sky and began to inhale. Lucy's eyes becoming the size of saucers was all the signal Princess Hisui needed to get the guards moving again.
"Everyone! We must leave the courtyard immediately and begin evacuation of the capitol. Move!" Princess Hisui ordered with all the ferocity and desperation she could manage.
This time, nobody hesitated in running as quickly as their legs could carry them. There were still some that were injured that had to be assisted in the evacuation of the immediate courtyard. Two of whom being the mages that had failed to close the Eclipse Gate.
Lucy couldn't bring herself to blame the guards for running past her. She was struggling to carry Yukino's unconscious form as she followed the retreating soldiers. After all, it was their fault for not being able to close the gate. That still didn't make sense to her though. A mystery that she hoped she would be getting more clues to sooner rather than later.
Lucy hadn't been able to accumulate enough magic yet, so no spirits to help her out this time.
As countless guards and knights ran past her and out of the courtyard entrance she suddenly felt her load getting significantly lighter. Actually a lot lighter, and before she knew it, Yukino was being held entirely by Loki.
She may not have been able to summon any spirits but that didn't stop them from summoning themselves to help her out. Even then Leo was always able to use his own magic reserves instead of hers to summon himself. So whereas she would have scolded him for popping up without permission to hold an unconscious woman, this was not the time nor the place. All she could be, was grateful for his help. His stern gaze also stopped her from saying something unnecessary. He did always know when to get serious, what else can you expect from the leader of the zodiac.
Yet he still showed signs of their failed attempt at closing the Eclipse Gate. While only minor scratches and a more than slightly scuffed up suit, he looked just as exhausted as Lucy did.
Approaching the exit, they saw a familiar face staring at the sea of retreating knights. They were scanning around and finally stopped on Lucy. Their bob of green hair making its way through the crowd wasn't hard to follow either. The Princess of Fiore charged towards the Fairy Tail wizards and Yukino.
With her path being cleared by a constantly shouting Arcadios and on a direct intercourse with their own, well Lucy was not excited for it.
So when they finally converged the last thing she expected to hear was, "How badly are you hurt?"
Lucy gaped for a short moment at the Princess, and didn't stop moving either. Arcadios and Hisui had fallen in step next to Lucy and Loki with an unconscious Yukino. This was no time to be focusing on the past mistakes, the present is what they could do something about.
It was at this moment Lucy finally glanced back at the red dragon. It also just so happened to be when said dragon unleashed its roar.
And the next thing Lucy knew she couldn't hear or see the world around her.
There was an initial earth quaking, sky illuminating light that blinded her. The concussive force behind it threatened to split her head in two and instinctively made her want to duck and curl into a ball. The dragon had summoned a monstrously sized bolt of lightning that went directly into the cloudless night sky.
Even after the light from the fearsome surge of magical power dimmed, the dragon never stopped roaring. Even after her hearing began to return she could still feel the guttural, primal roar behind and trembling the ground beneath.
Lucy's vision began to return slightly as Hisui tugged her along behind Loki. Her ears still rang but she supposed when she was the only one to watch the flash bang of the century go off, that would happen.
She was reminded once again of the unyielding roar. It went on for what felt like forever. Even still running away her body trembled and she couldn't get her hands to stop shaking. Reaching up to her own face she realized she had been crying. For how long she wasn't sure but she could tell her eyes were bloodshot.
Hisui's grip on Lucy's hand lessened then. The celestial mage looked up to see the forms of one Wendy Marvell and Laxus Dreyar closing in quickly.
It was Wendy that was the first to call out to the injured mages.
"Lucy! What happened? Is the gate closed?" She rattled off quickly, but no sooner did she illuminate her hands with the light of healing magic as she went to work on the more injured Yukino.
"No, we failed, another dragon came through." She replied as a fresh wave of tears streamed down her cheeks.
"We're just glad everyone's okay, but that last dragon… why does it sound so sad?" Wendy asked, clear concern in her voice.
This made Lucy pause slightly.
"I don't know about sad, but he's definitely got me feeling on edge." Laxus replied. It's a he? Lucy briefly thought, but before Lucy could put together a proper response the dragon's roar in the distance finally came to an end.
The ensuing silence was too loud for comfort.
"What's supposed to happen now?" A fearful Wendy asked, moving on from healing Yukino to Lucy now.
The sky being filled with the roars of several other dragons seemed to answer the young Sky Dragon Slayer's question quickly enough.
Several large, dark figures were taking to the night air and making moves of their own. All heading right towards the Eclipse Gate. The seven dragons that had managed to cross through the portal had been split up and were about to pair off with a dragon slayer to be dealt with. That was all well and fine for any of them, the dragon slayers were too weak to be much of a real threat to the dragons. Or at least that was what said dragons assumed.
These dragons from the past were also under the control of Rogue. The control magic he used was a finicky thing. Whereas a simple mind control spell would be practically full proof against a standard human or even wizard, dragons were a different situation entirely. Their pride was a big hurdle to clear in terms of using a control spell over them. It wasn't so much as having complete dominance over them, but more of a manipulation tactic.
Using this technique Rogue from the future was able to skew the dragon's perspective into helping his own goals. The only thing stopping his plan of using an army of dragons to become the next Dragon King was a dragon coming through the portal that was too prideful to even give Rogue the chance to manipulate him in the slightest.
This unnerved Rogue. Atop Mother Glare's back, making his was over to the Eclipse Gate, he continued to try to control the red dragon. Typically with this spell he would have a slight insight into the dragon's mind he is trying to control. This way he can have a foundation of what he can use to trick the massive scaled lizard into doing his bidding. Most of the dragons present had nothing more than thoughts of destruction and enjoying a nice human for dinner. Easy enough to make them do as he wished.
This last one however had no inkling of a thought in his skull. As Rogue tried again he felt his head erupt in pain, as if someone had just broken a bat over his head.
Future Rogue felt a chill in the air as he neared the gate, despite the blistering heat that naturally exuded from the massive dragon. This was either a dragon far stronger than he could handle or one that didn't care to listen to him. Both scenarios didn't help to ease his nerves.
Even now, while still quite a distance away, the magic the dragon below radiated had him swallowing harder than normal. Rogue made sure to command the other dragons to quicken their pace.
There was only one dragon in existence that came to mind when thinking of one that could resist his magic. The mere thought was enough to make him question if he should escape to his own time while he had the chance. He had been expecting more dragons by the thousands, hundreds at the least! Not seven and an extra headache.
In a mountain range northeast of Fiore…
"Day 134: Experiment 3- Testing is complete." The dragon of the apocalypse spoke with a calm satisfaction. He was admiring his own work.
Instead of a vacant socket of a left arm was his completed new appendage. Fingers the same as they were before, even adapting to his dragon form upon transforming. His new arm looked odd, even to him, but it functioned exactly as he'd hoped and more. That was one problem taken care of.
Onto the next.
His gaze drifted up and over to the limp form of Mirajane Strauss chained to her slab. She was still alive. While not outside the realm of possibility, he certainly did not give her the merit to have lasted as long as she did. But alas, all things must come to an end. He walked towards her, ignoring the near countless number of scars that littered her once pristine flesh.
He lifted the blackened arm, reaching towards her, finally done with his subject.
Acnologia's raised hand froze in midair. He could hear it, feel it. The son of Igneel had finally decided to make his appearance. He couldn't fight the smile that threatened to split his face.
Mira was, as usual, his only witness to the insanity that bubbled just beneath the surface of Acnologia's tranquil mask.
Turning back to his company the manic look in his eye didn't escape Mira's dull one.
"How long do you suppose he was in there for? Months at the least? Perhaps a decade at the most?" He stared into her one good eye, awaiting his answer with bated breath.
He truly wanted to know what she thought. That was one thing she had unexpectedly learned about the twisted black dragon. While a being that lived and existed on its own, completely separate from civilization, he still valued hearing another's opinion. She had also figured out how little he liked to be kept waiting.
"I was trapped for only a few weeks before finding Igneel's bastard child. It hadn't seemed like he had been there for more than a few minutes, so by that standard I can only assume he'd been on the search for around 4 years? Maybe more?" A dark gleam had settled in Acnologia's eyes as he began to think aloud.
He did that often. Very often.
Even in these random bouts of curiosity and lucidity, he could flip on a dime.
"Should I join him now? Or keep him waiting? It's rude to keep someone waiting, especially when they are expecting you. Hmm what to do?" His pointer finger tapped aimlessly against his crossed forearms. He glanced back to the waiting Mira, still naked, but no fresh blood on her today.
"Your usefulness is about used up witch, perhaps it is time to finally rid myself of this burden." He mused in slight wonderment. His void black new appendage rising to her blind eye.
She didn't flinch as the pointer and middle fingers wriggled against the top of the eye, the thumb prying underneath. The fingers pressed forward as they reached the back and found merit in the rounded surface of an intact eyeball. He began to pull on it, slowly so as to feel the connections snapping as the organ was forcefully removed from its socket.
She could feel it too. Natsu was here, here to save her, Fairy tail and all of Ishgar. The pain was near negligible, the blood flowing from the empty socket freely. She'd been through much worse in the prior few months. If this truly was the day she'd been waiting for, then it was all worth it.
"You may answer."
Mira opened her mouth to answer and attempted to reply, nothing came out. Not even a strangled or scratched voice. Just silence.
"Hmm I agree! Let's let him come to us!" Acnologia turned from Mira's slack body and began laughing out loud. His laughter grew more rackus and disturbing, warping into a body shaking cackle as his shoulders shook in sheer glee.
This was something akin to the norm for Mirajane these days.
From day one she had been silenced. Acnologia's mutterings were enough to have told her that her curse power was too much of a pain to deal with so slicing her vocal cords was the next best option. Taking away her ability to scream also 'helped him focus.'
Mira had experienced first hand just how far he would go just to make his work go more smoothly. She could think back to more than a few occasions where her own thrashing against her bonds had infuriated the black dragon too much. So much to the point of him cutting her limbs off entirely. Hence the multiple ring-like lacerations that appeared as pale scars along the length of her arms.
More often than not Acnologia made a habit of removing the limbs by slicing from the end of the appendage all the way to the base. Perhaps all of her toes at once or maybe the whole foot. If she were lucky he would lob off after the knee or elbow joints. She found the pain to be more bearable that way as well.
Even in her own personal Hell, there was always a silver lining.
Mira liked the days when she passed out from blood loss. It meant Acnologia would leave her alone for a little while. Maybe he would be too lost in thought or in his own musings to even bother with her for days at a time. But he would always come back for more 'samples,' as he liked to call them.
Anything and everything Acnologia removed from Mirajane was referred to as such. A sample.
That had been somewhat of a strange revelation to her in the beginning. One word she never would have thought she would use for the Dragon King was meticulous.
The way he treated his notes and the 'experiment,' as he would refer to her when performing said experiment, was akin to a mother with her child. Hours upon hours, sometimes even a day or two would pass at times where he never said a word, simply messing with the bits of Mira's removed flesh in a way that she could never really make out.
Part of his meticulous nature was that her blinded right eye was nearer to his worktop, giving her no leeway to get a glimpse of what he was working on. An attempt was made to turn head over and give her good eye a chance to sneak a peek.
An attempt was made.
As the table came into view she no longer heard the scratching of a pencil on paper, instead staring into the enraged eyes of her tormentor and hearing his heaving breathe between clenched teeth. His eyes were wide, his gaze drilling into hers. She refused to blink or look away.
His finger reached to her chin and made contact. She felt a slight prick before a burning sensation grew from her chin all the way down to her belly button. The pain grew to an unbearable level before she broke eye contact with him and looked down at her front, seeing a fresh coat of blood to cover her. He had run his clawed finger down her middle and split her open.
She didn't get the mercy to linger for long however. Before she knew it, his arm was reaching into her lower abdomen, his fingers sliding around her innards. He pulled his hand back out and in it was a few feet of her own intestine staring back at her this time.
Still no time to truly take in what was happening she barely even noticed as he looped the bloodied entrails around her neck and white hair, then pulled.
It was a short moment before her body jerked instinctually against the lack of oxygen she was getting. That and the copious amounts of her own blood that fell in a grotesque waterfall from her chest and stomach didn't make it any easier to stay conscious.
She couldn't breathe, her vision was going fuzzy at the edges and she was already starting to feel cold and pale. This was it, this was how she was going to die.
Acnologia wouldn't let it be that easy.
"Day 2: Experiment 3- Subject is as weak as a human. Phase 3 will begin in the morning."
And just like that he stopped. While she could feel air entering her lungs, her vision was dark and fuzzy. The copious amount of red that painted her front and ran down her legs had Mira biting her lip almost to the point of drawing blood. She could feel the slimy wetness of her own innards around her neck, and then a different wetness on her cheeks as tears fell.
"We do not trifle in other's business. Do I make myself clear?" Acnologia used his one arm to lift her head and force her to look into his eyes. She didn't answer, she couldn't answer. He didn't appreciate her lack of response, his brow furrowing.
"I asked you a question, witch. It is rude to keep people waiting." She didn't know what to do honestly. This was early in her days of capture, still unsure of Acnologia's motivation or his true intentions. Still, she knew to not keep him waiting any longer, so she began to nod slightly when an arm slammed into the slab next to her face, shrapnel marring the skin around her neck.
Her gaze did not meet his, her chin falling to her chest, all her resistance gone. She could barely stay conscious at this point, her breath heavy. Nothing came to mind that would satiate his sick desire. She had no way to answer… unless. She moved her lips and did her best to mouth 'yes.' A slightly strangled noise coming from her throat as her breathing got weaker by the second.
Acnologia smiled. Even with her head angled down, he knew she caught on.
"You're quick, even on the brink of death you persist. I respect that. But why would I ask someone who cannot speak, to verbally respond you may ask?" He trailed on in his own bemusement.
Mira vaguely could recall mouthing 'no' in response.
"Ah ah ah! On the off chance you do somehow survive or exceed my expectations, you would become rather troublesome. In that case, I want to relish every moment of your eternal silence. Never again shall my ears bear the burden of hearing your twisted words, witch." While his tone started off light and even somewhat whimsical, it darkened to the point he sounded barely able to restrain himself from killing her right then and there. At this rate, she was practically dead anyway.
Apparently this was when Acnologia had enough of her blood making a mess.
Mira barely made out his feet turning away from her, barely able to make out the movement through the haze.
Then she passed out.
Awaking with a jolt Mira's breathe came in deep gulps and panicked eyes. While still shaky and head slightly foggy, she remembered very clearly what Acnologia had done to her. He must have done something to heal her, but she had no clue what kind of magic would be able to heal a wound like that.
Something occurred to her then. No matter what he did to her, no matter how on the edge of death she lingered, he would bring her back until her usefulness was all used up. She wept, unsure of how long this would continue.
That was how her days usually went. Never sure how much time had passed until Acnologia counted the days. It was a sick aspect of her torment, always knowing just how long she had been enduring
Today, however, was the day she had been waiting for. Natsu was finally back.
A bit of a deeper dive into Mira's torture under Acnologia. I had a lot of fun writing this and can't wait to give you guys what comes next. May be too dark for some, and may change the genre. Could be better, could be worse but hopefully this satiates some of you guys for now.
Anyway, what did you think? Let me know in the comments or through PM!
