The last month flew by. The Spring Tournament had come and gone and the team was on its path to Nationals once again. My last few tennis meets had gone exceptionally well. I was placed in the top 10 ranks for the prefecture girls singles'.

Hinata and the boys had kept their promise and attended every match they could. Usually when one of them couldn't attend, the other underclassman would come in their place. It was so sweet of them. Although, some of the looks I got from other competitors were less than approving. I didn't care though. They were my teammates just the same.

Before my last game, Hinata had given me a charm bracelet to wear during my matches. It was a silver bracelet with a tennis ball charm and a volleyball charm. His number was also attached to the charm. It was really hard not to cry right then and there. But, I did notice tears welling in his eyes. I giggled and kissed his forehead and went to play. I'd never performed better than I did that day.

Now, it was my turn to support him. At Nationals, unfortunately, I had to stay in the fan seating area due to limited access to the the courts. I sat front in center with the Karasuno fan cheer section wearing Hinata's jersey. Despite our last experience, Hinata practically begged me to wear his number for 'good luck' as he put it. I'm pretty sure it was for his own personal reasons, but, I didn't mind obliging him.

I could see during line up for the introduction ceremonies, his eyes were darting around looking for me. I giggled. He couldn't be more adorable. I saw Kageyama flick him on the back of his head to regain his focus and Hinata instantly went stiff like a soldier.

"Shoyo.." I sighed.

Some girls that I didn't recognize began muttering behind me.

"Is that girl Karsuno's number 10's girlfriend or something?" They whispered.

I tensed.

Why's it any of their business?

"No wayy.. she looks way to scary to be with that a guy that cuteeee." They snickered.

I clenched my fist and glared at the floor. I really wanted to whip around and rip them a new one. But, I knew that I was representing Karasuno, I couldn't let the team down.

I felt their words creep into my thoughts. Sure, I had the classic resting bitch face to match my darling cousin's. And I didn't exactly mirror Hinata's upbeat personality, I was blunt and a bit more tense. But... do I really deserve someone like Hinata?

Suddenly, something leapt into my field of vision, and I felt pressure against my lips.

My eyes widened and I realized somehow, Hinata had jumped onto the side railing, had gotten his footing and planted a kiss on my lips.

"Thanks for the good luck kisses baby," he winked and leapt down.

"H-Hinata you jerk!!" I screamed at him over the sound of the surrounding yells in the stands reacting to Hinata's little stunt.

He grinned and waved at me before rejoining the team. I blushed and touched my fingers to my lips.

Idiot...

I turned to the girls behind me an grinned smugly, "Yep.. Number 10's mine."

The all huffed and turned their noses up at me. I laughed and hurried down the stairs to get things ready in the holding area for the team's upcoming match.

~~~
As I was gathering the equipment, I heard Kageyama call my name.
"Yeah?"
"Can you come here for a sec?"
I jogged over. I hadn't noticed a very formally dressed man was standing with him.
"Vanji this is Mr. Kureno, he's one of the scouts for the International Men's Professional Volleyball Circuit," Kageyama stated.
"O-oh! It's very nice to meet you sir!" I stammered.
He grinned shaking my hand, "Likewise, I see you manage a very strong team."
I laughed nervously, "Assistant manage. Yachi is the official team manager."
"Oh no offense to that. Kageyama just tells me you have an eye for stats and performance amongst your teammates," he explained.
"Oh yeah.. I guess I'm okay." I shrugged embarrassed.
"If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to take a look at your gameplay notes during the matches. You have some real standouts at Karasuno and I'd love to make some recommendations for some colleagues of mine," he kindly inquired.
I screamed internally, this would be great for the guys!
"Of course sir!" I agreed, reaching into my bag and handing over my notebook.
He smiled, wished us good luck in the upcoming match and headed off.
Kageyama and I both stood still. Then, instantly, I jumped into his arms and we both started cheering.
"Oh my god Vanji!! This is amazing!!" Kageyama could barely contain himself and held onto me tightly.
"Did he say anything about where he'd see you?" I asked.
"Italy, Vanji!! Freaking European circuit!!" he shouted excitedly.
"Oh my god!!!" I wrapped my arms around Kagayama's neck and pulled him close, "You did it!!"
I felt his tears dripping onto my shoulder. For so long, I'd grown up with Tobio looking up at him as the overachieving, stone faced jerk of a cousin. But, deep down I always knew his hard work would reward him. I was so proud of him.
"You deserve this Tobio," I smiled hopping down from his arms, "You really do."
He chuckled and wiped his eyes on his jacket sleeve, "He wants to recommend Tsukishima too, to a collegiate recruiter."
I laughed, "Oh he'll love that. More volleyball with more 'annoyances' as he so lovingly calls it."
We both burst into laughter. I couldn't wait to see their faces. Then, it dawned on me.
"A-and Hinata?"
I saw his face change, "Too many to list... all pretty far away."
I smiled, not realized tears flowing down my cheeks, "I-I'm glad."
"Vanji," he pleaded, "Talk to me."
"It's nothing," I hurriedly wiped away tears, "Let's go. You guys have a match to win."
