Terra yawned as he walked out of his room, Ventus quickly following after.
"I swear that you are part rooster with how chipper you are in the mornings." He smirked at the younger boy.
Ventus gave him a small smile, causing Terra to frown.
"Hey, is everything ok? You seem to be slightly less happy this morning." He asked, kneeling closer to Ventus's level.
Ventus gave a quick look full of surprise and nervousness. Now Terra knew something was wrong.
"Okay," he replied. "What's going on this morning?"
Ventus remained quiet for a couple of seconds before giving a smile.
"It's nothing," Ventus answered. "Vani was just a bit crabbier than normal this morning and we had a bit of a spat. I'm giving him some space before apologizing later."
Terra raised an eyebrow. While it was well known that Vanitas was not the cheeriest in the mornings, he would never take his morning frustrations out on his brother. The younger twin was always protective of the older blond ever since they came into the Master's care.
Terra sighed though knowing that no amount of pestering would get Ventus to admit something was bothering him if he refused to answer. All he could do was wait till whatever had come between the twins worked itself out.
"Well, try to work it out between you two." He replied, giving the younger boy a small smile. "It'll be tense with you two ignoring each other."
The young blond gave a quick nod before running towards another part of the castle. Once he was out of sight a frown returned to his face. Whatever was bothering Ventus did involve Vanitas, but he was certain that it didn't have anything to do with Vanitas's usual morning attitude.
"You noticed it as well?"
He turned to look at Aqua as she walked towards him, a frown on her face as well.
"Yeah." He answered as she stopped next to him. "You have any idea what could have caused it?"
Aqua shook her head. "Though I do suspect it has something to do with Vanitas. I had run into him earlier this morning when he was heading towards Vanitas's room and he was his normal cheery self."
Terra raised an eyebrow at the new information. So his suspicions were correct, Ventus's attitude did have something to do with Vanitas.
"Do you think that we should ask Vanitas if anything happened?" He asked.
Aqua didn't say anything for a couple of seconds, a frown upon her face as she began to think over the situation.
"No." She answered, shaking her head. "If it becomes worse we can, but unless the Master sees an issue we should refrain from interrogating the two."
Terra nodded as they turned to look down the hallway Ventus had run into.
