Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or Legend of Korra
A/N: In honor of Korra's 10th Anniversary, here is a 5 CHAPTER UPLOAD to finish season 2. Read Ch. 18 first! IDK why, but I was thinking it was next month in May.
Remember to keep voting in the poll that'll go down on Ninja in the web's next update. And if Naruto should learn flying/lavabending, just one, or neither, so far learning both is in the lead but only gotten several PM's/reviews for it I'll stop counting the votes after uploading the first chapter for s3 Change.
Also, forgot to ask those on AO3 about Naruto learning so I'll be using the game's story that takes place between s2 and s3 to allow any over there to give out a vote.

Book Two
Spirits
Chapter VII
The Guide.
Korra has regained her memory. By connecting with the original Avatar, Korra learned that to stop Unalaq she must close the spirit portal before Harmonic Convergence, which is only weeks away! Meanwhile, Naruto spends time with his other girlfriend Asami, unaware of the danger that threatens the world.
Eastern Air Temple.
Korra arrives at the temple, much to everyone's surprise. Tenzin asks Korra why she was not in the Southern Water Tribe continuing her training. Korra quickly explains the events that have transpired since the family departed from the South Pole, informing them of Unalaq's true nature, the outbreak of the Water Tribe Civil War, as well as her realization of the repercussions of opening the Southern spirit portal by meeting Wan, the first Avatar while being unconscious at the Bhanti Village Temple.
Later, Tenzin and Korra went to a nearby garden, where they discussed Avatar Wan's imprisonment of Vaatu in the Spirit World and Unalaq's attempts to free him by having Korra open both spirit portals. Tenzin admits that he has always known about Unalaq's power-hungry nature as Korra blames herself for her part in furthering Unalaq's intentions, to which Tenzin disagrees, asserting that it is all Unalaq's doing.
He tells Korra that they must shift their focus to setting things right before Unalaq can inflict more damage. Aware that it would be difficult to close the portal in the South Pole due to Unalaq's army, Korra concludes that she must close the portal from within the Spirit World and tells Tenzin that she must find a way to enter the realm.
Republic City Task Force HQ.
"Looks like Varrick was going to take over your business after stealing everything to get Raiko involved."
Naruto at his desk looked up at his girlfriend holding the contracts she was going to sign. "The fine print was for him to get the majority of the company… Probably to get the Sato-mobile under his name." He finished as she looked down.
"How could I have missed that?"
"You were ecstatic at saving the company that you didn't read down that far," Naruto replied, standing and walking over.
He then hugged her before his hands drifted to her ass. "Really? Now?"
"Can you blame me? It is a nice butt."
"As nice as Korra's?" She asked leaning back to stare at him.
"Both of you have nice ones… Hers is rock hard, but yours is plump."
Asami rolled her eyes before pecking him on the lips. "Think she's made it there?"
"I don't know, it is a long way to get to the fire nation even on a large ship." He replied, still holding her.
Eastern Air Temple. (1.)
Tenzin tells Korra that she is lucky, as the Eastern Air Temple is the most spiritual of all the air temples. He takes her to a garden near where Aang first met Guru Pathik. Tenzin and Korra make their first attempt to enter the Spirit World while the others watch. They are unsuccessful, prompting them to try something else.
The two attempt to enter the Spirit World for a second time, this time on top of a cliff carved with the face of an Air Nomad. They are unsuccessful again, which Tenzin attributes to too much smoke coming from the incense that Kya is burning before storming off to find another location, ignoring Kya's annoyed protests that she merely followed his instructions.
On the way, Jinora sees several dragonfly bunny spirits floating around Korra's head, before flying off deep into the wilderness, away from the temple grounds. Jinora calls for them to come back, prompting Kya to ask her what she is chasing.
Tenzin then takes Korra to a hall of statues and the two begin to meditate underneath a large sculpture of Avatar Yangchen. Tenzin urges Korra to focus and feel the energy of the universe and blames her for interrupting his meditation, despite having been the one to initiate the conversation. Puzzled by her mentor's unusual behavior, Korra asks Tenzin what is going on, to which he responds that nothing is feeling right.
Korra reminds Tenzin that there is little time to waste and asks the Airbender to do what he did back when he first entered the Spirit World. Tenzin sighed at that and reluctantly revealed that he has never been to the Spirit World, much to everyone's surprise. Kya walks over and asks how he plans to help Korra cross over into the Spirit World if he has never done so himself, Tenzin announces that he can still help Korra due to his years of studying the way of ancient spiritual leaders and asks Korra to trust him.
Kya muses that there might be another way and asks Jinora if there is something she wants to tell Korra. Confused, Tenzin claims Jinora is too young and untrained to be knowledgeable of spiritual matters, though Jinora tells her father that she might know where Korra needs to go and, after he asks her how she would know that, admits that her spirit friends showed her.
She then calls upon them to reveal themselves. At that moment, several dragonfly bunny spirits appear, much to everyone's amazement. The spirits begin to fly away from the temple grounds, with Korra resolving to follow them despite Tenzin's reluctance. When Tenzin inquires as to how long she has been able to communicate with the spirits, Jinora reveals that she is unsure, as she has always been able to do it.
Later, Tenzin and his family make their way down into the wilderness surrounding the mountains near the Eastern Air Temple on Oogi. Bumi names one of the dragonfly bunny spirits "Bum-Ju" as a shortened name for "Bumi Junior", much to Tenzin's indifference. Jinora suggests that her father is angry at her, which Kya dismisses, reassuring her niece that Tenzin's pride is "simply bruised", as he is incapable of seeing spirits.
Korra adds that Jinora's ability is a natural gift and tells her that she is lucky. Jinora replies by saying that Korra is luckier, as she was able to meet the first Avatar. Korra expresses how amazing it was to see how the Avatar came into existence, recalling how Wan fused with Raava to create the Avatar Spirit.
Jinora concludes that the Avatar is partially a spirit and comes to understand that the wooden carving she saw in the Southern Air Temple sanctuary was a depiction of Wan and Raava. She reveals that she was drawn to the statue during the winter solstice, the day when Korra opened the Southern spirit portal.
After landing, the dragonfly bunny spirits lead Korra, Tenzin, Bumi, Kya, and Jinora to an ancient Airbender meditation circle, which had remained unused and covered in overgrowth for the past century. Jinora immediately senses unusually strong spiritual energy within the circle. Tenzin resolves to perform a spiritual cleansing, which would help strengthen the site's connection to the Spirit World.
He bends smoke from incense around the site, which immediately causes the dragonfly bunny spirits to leave. Suddenly, a colony of dark spirits in the likeness of bats appears from underground and begins to attack the group. Korra and Tenzin initially attempt to ward them off with bending but are unsuccessful.
Korra attempts to calm the spirits using spirit bending and successfully performs the technique, having the spirits disappear in a flash of bright light. As the light dissipates, the vines and overgrowth covering the meditation circle begin to disappear before Tenzin begins another attempt to enter the Spirit World.
Tenzin becomes increasingly frustrated over his inability to enter the Spirit World before Kya tells him that it is not his destiny to guide the Avatar and urges him to allow Jinora to try. He refuses, asserting that Jinora is not ready for the dangers of the Spirit World. Korra tells him once again that they are running out of time, and Jinora reassures her dad that she could guide the Avatar into the Spirit World and remain out of harm's way.
Tenzin concedes and accepts that he might never have the connection to spirits like he always wanted. He tells Korra to go with Jinora into the Spirit World and states that he will remain to watch over their bodies alongside Bumi and Kya. Soon after meditating, Korra briefly enters the Avatar State, before entering the Spirit World with Jinora.
Spirit World.
In the Spirit World, Korra reminds Jinora to be wary of dark spirits, before touching a flower that turns into a butterfly spirit. Intrigued, Jinora runs after it, and Korra, running after the Airbender, accidentally steps on a meerkat prairie dog spirit. After apologizing, she asks about the location of the Southern spirit portal.
Korra tries and fails to convince the spirit that she is the Avatar, on a mission to close the portal. As she talks, a multitude of meerkat prairie dog spirits appear from the ground and bombard Korra with blunt skepticism and disbelief. Frustrated, Korra attempts to use bending to fend off the spirits but finds herself unable to do so, having meditated into the Spirit World.
Outraged, the spirits attack Korra by throwing themselves at her and transforming into a thick, purple goo upon impact. Alarmed, Korra calls for Jinora, who advises her to remain calm, realizing her energy is upsetting the spirits. Korra fails to calm down, and the two fall through a sinkhole created by the meerkat prairie dog spirits. Suddenly finding themselves underwater, they are swallowed by a catgator spirit and fall into a spiraling river, where they are each pulled in different directions by the water. They eventually find themselves back on land, albeit at different locations.
Finding herself alone in a dark forest surrounded by dark spirits, Korra's emotions cause her physical form to revert to that of her four-year-old self. Out of fear, she accidentally swats a young dragon bird spirit and injures its wing. Realizing this, Korra apologizes to the harmless spirit and gently picks it up. An old man approaches carrying a lantern and, noting that they seemed lost, offers his help.
When Korra realizes she recognizes him, the man tells her of his close friendship with Aang, prompting her to remember his name: Iroh. He leads her and the spirit from the forest to his teashop, where they attend a tea party in honor of the marriage of May-Jim. Iroh offers Korra tea from Wan's teapot, and Korra immediately recognizes it as hers, prompting Iroh to state that when she was Avatar Wan, the teapot had housed Raava before the spirit's permanent fusion with Wan during the Harmonic Convergence.
Meanwhile, Jinora finds herself just outside the forest and reunites with a large dragonfly bunny spirit, whom she recognizes as Furry-Foot. Asking the spirit if it knows the location of the spirit portals, the dragonfly bunny prompts Jinora to mount it and takes her to a library. Amazed by the amount of knowledge stored in the building, Jinora claims that she could spend the rest of her life there.
Suddenly, a tall owl spirit appears and remarks that the last person who made a similar comment was still on the premises, before motioning toward a man's remains. Despite Wan Shi Tong's orders for her to leave, Jinora pleads to be allowed to browse the library, offering wisdom in exchange for some time.
The owl spirit refuses, claiming those were the old rules and doubtful of the fact that a young girl could offer him any new knowledge. Even though Jinora revealed the true working of the radio, as Wan Shi Tong had been under the impression they were operated by small men within the radio itself based on faulty information gathered by one of his Knowledge Seekers, he did not change his mind.
However, upon discovering that she is a descendant of Aang, he relents and allows her to stay, warning her not to break anything.
Back at his teashop, Iroh tells Korra how when his work was done, he decided to leave his mortal body following his death, so that he might live among the spirits in the Spirit World. In the middle of the conversation, Korra becomes upset over losing Jinora and throws a tantrum, which causes the world around her to change: the clouds above Hai-Riyo Peak darken and expand, and the spirits nearby become dark as well.
Iroh urges Korra to calm down and to see how her energy is affecting the spirits. She soon realizes that as the bridge between the two realms, her emotions can alter reality and channel darkness. Iroh tells her that the best way to solve her problems is to solve the problems of another, and Korra decides to help return the injured dragon bird spirit to its nest at the summit of Hai-Riyo Peak.
With Jinora, she asks one of the fox Knowledge Seekers for help, and it provides her with an ancient tome, which recalls Vaatu's imprisonment in the Tree of Time. Upon discovering that Vaatu will be able to break free of his bonds if both of the portals are open during Harmonic Convergence, Jinora realizes that she has to warn Korra but is stopped by Wan Shi Tong and Unalaq, who declares Tenzin to be a coward for allowing his daughter to guide the Avatar into the Spirit World.
Jinora asks Wan Shi Tong his reasoning for allying with Unalaq, and he explains that Unalaq has shown himself to be on the side of the spirits, something Korra has failed to do. When Unalaq asks Jinora to come with him to see Vaatu, Furry-Foot becomes corrupted and forcefully restrains her.
Later, with Iroh and Korra, they arrived at the foot of the mountain. Iroh wishes the Avatar well and urges her to visit him again, even if in the following lifetime. Korra begins to climb up the mountain, reminding herself to remain calm and unfazed, though is alarmed to find a trio of dark guardian spirits standing in her way partway up the mountain.
Korra realizes that she must find the light within herself; succeeding in doing so, she returns the spirits to their pacified forms while also dissipating the storm clouds gathered around the mountain. The guardian spirits help her scale the mountain, and reaching the top, she returns the dragon bird spirit to its nest, where there are three others.
The four dragon bird spirits merge to become an adult dragon bird spirit, who offers to serve as Korra's mount in gratitude. Korra's actions also allowed her to return to her normal, adult form, and she climbed onto the spirit's back, telling it to fly to the spirit portals. The spirit immediately takes off, the three guardian spirits following in their wake.
Arriving, Korra approaches the southern spirit portal to close it but is stopped by Vaatu, who tells Raava of her impending defeat upon the arrival of Harmonic Convergence. Korra initially dismisses Vaatu's threats and continues toward the portal, but when Vaatu threatens Jinora's safety, Korra turns to see Unalaq holding Jinora captive.
The chief threatens to corrupt Jinora's soul unless Korra opens the northern portal. Korra advances on the duo though when she reaches the base of the Tree of Time, her progress is thwarted by a dark Furry-Foot. Looking around, Korra notices that the three guardian spirits have returned to their dark form as well.
Korra blames Unalaq for deceiving her, making her believe he wanted to restore balance with the spirits. Pointing out that turning the spirits dark is not balanced, she demands he release Jinora. Dismissing Korra's demand, Unalaq makes it clear that Jinora will only leave the Spirit World alive if both portals are open.
When Jinora begs Korra to refuse, Unalaq increases his hold on her, coming near to completely corrupting Jinora to emphasize that he is not bluffing. Korra concedes and opens the portal, causing Vaatu's restrictive barrier to weaken. Mere seconds after opening the portal, Unalaq assaults Korra with his waterbending, noting that she should have entered the Spirit World through the portal if she had wanted to retain her bending.
Weaving through her uncle's waterbending attacks, Korra makes her way over to where Furry-Foot is holding Jinora though before she can truly reach them, the dark spirit takes off with the young Airbender. Korra gives chase though is knocked over and captured by the dark guardian spirits.
Unalaq raises his spirit bending water around a semi-unconscious Korra, attempting to destroy her spirit. Before he can do so, however, the dragon bird spirit whom Korra saved swoops down upon them, knocking Unalaq off his feet with its tail, sending him tumbling.
The spirit takes Korra, almost unconscious and powerless, in its talons and flies away from the portals. As she is carried off to safety, Vaatu calls after Raava, announcing that he will be free from his prison once Harmonic Convergence arrives to have his revenge.
Real World.
Returning to her body, Korra pants in exhaustion as Tenzin rushes over to her. As she is being asked what the Spirit World was like, whether Jinora was able to help her, and if she managed to close the portal, a distressed Korra merely manages to utter a weak apology, averting her eyes to Jinora. Tenzin follows her gaze, seeing Jinora's motionless body. Desperately clutching his daughter, a mortified Tenzin turns to Korra and asks for an explanation.
Korra, Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya return to the Eastern Air Temple, where Pema is happy to see them. When she asks where Jinora is, Tenzin holds up her unresponsive body in response, trying to reassure his wife that he will do whatever it takes to retrieve their daughter's spirit from the Spirit World.
Later, Republic City.
Naruto was walking out with Raiko for his statement before Korra and the others flew down on Oogi. "President Raiko!"
"Avatar Korra? What's wrong?"
"Sir, I know I've asked for your help before, but things have changed. Unalaq doesn't just wanna take over the South anymore. He wants to destroy the whole world."
"Unalaq is going to destroy the world?" Naruto asked her. "How?"
"He's trying to release a powerful dark spirit during Harmonic Convergence, which is only a few days away. If he succeeds, the world as we know it is over. Sir, we desperately need your help." Korra explained and turned to Raiko.
"I'm sorry, Korra, but my answer is still no."
"There are lives on the line!" Tenzin yelled at the President in anger. "And my daughter is one of them! Raiko, you must reconsider!"
"I'm aware that lives are on the line. And that's precisely why my troops are staying here. If the world is going to be thrown into chaos as you claim, I need to protect my citizens. I'm sorry."
"Korra, we don't have much time. We need to figure out how to deal with Unalaq." Naruto said as Raiko had left.
"I think I know just the man to talk to."
The group turned to see Bolin, Mako, and Asami.
They then went back inside to a lavish prison cell where Varrick was detained. "What the hell?" Naruto asked, looking at the cell. "Where did this come from? This was not here when I took over the Force."
"Varrick Industries built this and the police prisons, and I had this cell made special. I had a feeling I'd end up here one day. Zhu Li, c'mon, we got guests!" Naruto then saw said assistant appear beside Varrick. "Whip up a pot of that green tea I love!"
"Yes, sir."
Korra looked at the two in surprise. "Zhu Li's in prison with you?"
"Of course! I don't go anywhere without my assistant. Do you?"
Naruto sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "We're not interested in your tea. And this isn't a friendly visit."
"Don't tell me you guys are still mad about everything that happened. I did some good things, too. Korra, who warned you about Unalaq? I did. Bolin, who got you into the movers? I did. Asami, who saved your company? I did." He then looked at Naruto "Well, OK, I didn't personally help you out."
"You tried to steal everything from me and you tried to kidnap the president. Those are pretty bad."
"I wasn't going to hurt him. I just needed to start a war. Well, a bigger war."
Bolin looked at the businessman before speaking. "Well, we're gonna end it. Where's all the stuff you stole from Asami?"
"The Future Industries' stuff? It's on my battleship." Varrick spoke as he sat down at a chair.
"You have a battleship?"
Varrick smiled at that. "Of course I do! I bought the first one they made! Named her, the 'Zhu Li'."
Bolin raised an eyebrow at that. "You named your battleship after your assistant?"
"Yup. They're both cold, heartless war machines."
Zhu Li filled his tea before fixing her glasses. "Your tea, sir."
"Look, I am truly sorry. Let me make it up to you, take Zhu Li… My battleship, it's yours, and everything on it."
Korra smiled at that. "It's not the fleet we were looking for, but it's the next best thing."
"All right! Team Avatar is back in business. Ha-ha!" Bolin grabs Korra by the shoulder and pulls her toward the others, for a group hug. Lin smiles at the youngsters with pride.
Zhu Li Ship.
Korra was on the deck looking at the ocean as Naruto walked behind her and hugged her. "It's okay. We're going to stop Unalaq, and get Jinora back."
Korra leans into him and sighs. "I hope my dad's all right."
"I'm sure he's fine."
South Pole.
Tonraq is attacking a dark spirit that's perched on a wall. The spirit jumps off to avoid the attack and slams onto the ground, knocking off a rebel with its tail before charging at Tonraq again, where he retaliates with a water blast, dissipating it. He turns, only to be knocked back by a water stream. A rebel assists with a stream, but gets knocked back.
He looks up to see Desna and Eska. Tonraq dodges the attack and retreats behind a pillar for cover. He braces himself to shield himself from another attack. "Get the men and fall back."
"What about you?"
Tonraq shields himself from another attack before noticing his brother walking with attacking soldiers and a dark spirit. "I'm going to end this, right now. Go."
Tonraq bends an ice wall, separating the twins. Desna dodges before bending out an ice shield, only for Tonraq to destroy it. Tonraq runs across the alley and attacks two soldiers before freezing the other two. "Hello, Tonraq. Looking for me?" Tonraq bends a massive stream at Unalaq, who stops it with an ice shield. In the mist, Unalaq attacks Tonraq with a massive ice block, throwing him some distance. "Brother, I'm too strong for you."
"You're no brother of mine. You betrayed me, you had me banished!"
"Yes! I did." Tonraq charges at Unalaq with waterbending, only for his momentum to be stopped by Desna and Eska. "Stop! He's mine." Unalaq said walking over.
"You are not the true chief."
"I am. And you will bow to me."
Unalaq bends the snow beneath him, slamming Tonraq against an ice wall. Tonraq bends out a stream, which Unalaq catches and spins into a circle. As Tonraq charges, he uses the stream to form ice structures, which Tonraq manages to dodge and counter. Unalaq bends out a large stream, which Tonraq dodges at the last minute before protecting himself with a wall and attacking Unalaq.
Behind the wall, he rides an ice sheet and charges toward Unalaq, the scene proceeding in slow motion. Before Tonraq can land the final blow, Unalaq knocks him off with an ice pillar. He approaches Tonraq and demolishes all the ice structures, before freezing him. He smirks in victory while Tonraq closes his eyes, bracing himself for the impact. Unalaq bends out a stream, shattering the ice and knocking Tonraq out. "Now that I've defeated you, your daughter is next."
To Be Continued.
