Hinata and I had returned to the apartment and he got me set up to where I could prop my ankle and relax while he went to begin his daily workout to make up for his absence from practices.

He kissed my forehead as he left. I smiled, waved, and asked he be safe to which he beamed and happily promised.

Once I'd heard the door lock behind him, I reached for the remote and tuned in to the sports channel. Kageyama's team had been playing and results were coming in. The Adlers had won in straight sets.

"No surprise there," I snorted.

My phone began to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey you, long time no talk."

"Well if my dearest cousin wasn't so popular with reporters and answered a phone call or video chat every now and then, the time between conversations wouldn't be so long," I teased.

"Oh shut up Vanji!" Kageyama hollered.

"You know I'm joking," I giggled.

"So where are you?" he inquired.

"Uhhh..." I paused.

"Vanji.. don't tell me. I saw the news but I thought you'd be smarter about this.." he groaned.

"Hey! I didn't plan this!" I snapped defensively.

"But.. you didn't necessarily stop it either.. did you?"

"Well.." I pouted, "No.."

"Does he know?"

"Does who know what?"

"Does Tsukishima know where you are?"

"Well yeah.. we all got online to play games last night and texted.. wait.. why does that matter?" I asked confused.

".. no reason," he hesitated, "Hey, I gotta go. Teams calling to load up.. but Vanji, please.. think things through. BOTH OF YOU."

The call ended abruptly.

What was Tobio getting at? Why would Tsukishima care if I was at Shoyo's or not?

Hinata's POV

I had been doing my best to finish my workout as quickly as possible. I felt bad leaving Vanji all alone at my apartment. I knew too well it could get quite lonely. Plus, since the talk about her recent findings, I wanted to prove to her just how much she means to me.

As I stepped off the treadmill, I glanced up at the entry way after hearing some familiar voices. Tsukishima had entered along with some of what I assumed were teammates of his. It had been so long since we'd last seen one another.

"Hey Tsuki!!" I called out.

He tensed at the sound of my voice and looked over. He took one look at me and went back to his original conversation.

Always the charmer Tsukishima..

I walked over and inserted myself into their gathering.

"Sooo.. how long are you gonna pretend to not notice me?" I snarked.

Tsukishima glared and chuckled, "Oh I'm sorry.. I guess I couldn't see you there. Still haven't grown into that mouth of yours huh?"

I bit my tongue angrily.

His friends laughed and split up to their workout stations. All that was left standing was Tsukishima and I.

"Hey!" he barked, "You here to train or what?"

"I.. I was just leaving actually," I answered, "I have to-"

"Ohhh the great Ninja Shoyo backing down from a challenge, I see?" he taunted.

I grit my teeth, "Hell no! You're on!"

Vanji's POV

I double checked my cell's notifications.

~No new texts or missed calls~

"Where is he?" I wondered to myself.

I sighed and went back to surfing through Shoyo's online streaming account. I made another selection and resuming staring at the screen.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of keys jangling and the door unlocking:

"Hey welcome home-"

I stiffened.

Hinata walked in first and following behind was a subject we had yet to discuss:

"Hey babe, look who I ran into!" Shoyo announced heartily, "I practically begged him to come over to hang out."

Tsukishima hadn't once looked in my direction. I couldn't figure a reason why. It wasn't like we'd had any arguments prior. I was more nervous if he and Shoyo had discussed anything. I would've preferred to be the one to inform him.

I grinned forcefully, "Great!"

Tsukishima snickered, "Don't hold back anything do you, Vanji?"

I scowled in his direction, to which he retaliated with a wink.

What the hell was he up to?

Hinata cut me off before I could speak, "I'm going to shower and change really quick. Make yourself at home Tsukishima!"

Hinata ran over, kissed my forehead , and rushed to his bedroom.

"What the hell was that about?!" I berated.

"Ohhh so I'm guessing he has no clue," Tsukishima stifled a laugh in his palm.

"Tsuki! It was just a friendly date. You said it yourself." I insisted.

"Then why do you seem so flustered that we both showed up?" he pressed.

"Because I wanted to be sure it was me who told him. It's better coming from me," I reiterated.

"Oh sure," he rolled his eyes relaxing into the couch next to me.

"Why are you being so weird about this?" I demanded.

".. no reason," he whispered.

I shook my head and turned my attention back to the tv screen. Shortly after, Hinata returned and moved to sit on the other side of me and repositioned my upper body to lean against his chest.

I noticed Tsukishima became irritated at the display and scooted further away.

I wasn't sure what was going on, but, I knew we needed to have a talk. About what I wasn't sure.
