I ran until I was out of breath. I didn't even realize I'd made it clear across Olympic Village. I was standing in the outdoor gardens, the crowd of athletes and other competitors buzzed around me filling the air with idle conversation.

I vaguely heard the echo of my name in the foyer:

"Vanji!"

I slowly looked up, still heaving.

Then, felt the impact of a sturdy body and a tight embrace.

"T-Tobio?" I wheezed.

"Hey.. hey!" he sputtered.

"Oh my god, Tobio!" I gasped and started laughing.

He squeezed tighter, "I can't believe it's you. You're here."

"You too! I can't believe you didn't tell me asshole!" I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck.

"I know, I know I'm sorry! It's just I've been busy and I never-" he apologized.

I playfully smacked the back of his head, "Shut up idiot! I'm just so glad to see you!"

"Oww.. damn short stuff," he growled.

I giggled uncontrollably.

Then, suddenly it all came down. Tears rolled down my cheeks and I clung to Tobio like a lifeline.

He felt me begin to shake and began soothingly rubbing my back, "I'm guessing you saw him."

I sniffled nodding my head.

"Damn idiot.. I told him to stay away.." he whispered darkly.

"Tobio.. don't tell me you're angry at him too," I wiped my eyes.

"No.. yes.. I don't know.." Kageyama groaned.

"Why am I the only one not angry at him?" I pleaded.

"Maybe.. because you still have feelings for him," he chuckled lightly.

I stiffened and pulled away slightly, "Do I?"

"Do you?" Kageyama raised a brow.

"I-" I swallowed.

"Hey there King!" a voice called.

"Hmph.. only one person could have the balls to still call me by that name," Kageyama gritted his teeth.

I turned and saw Tsukishima holding a bag from my favorite bakery and a plush dinosaur wearing an Olympic souvenir shirt.

I couldn't help but burst into laughter, "Is that for me, Kei?"

"Oh absolutely not, these are for me," he winked.

I pouted and crossed my arms across my chest.

"Ohhhh not the pitiful pouting, Vanji," Tsukishima scolded.

I stomped my foot teasingly and flared my nostrils.

"Ughhh.. fine," he caved.

I happily skipped over to him and collected my prize. Tsukishima made his way to Kageyama and they began discussing amongst themselves.

I hugged onto the plush toy and thought to myself:

We're all going to be trapped in this arena for the next 5 days. What could possibly go wrong?

Hinata's POV

I begrudgingly walked back to our designated dormitories, my cheek still stinging against my palm.

Why in the hell did I think kissing her was the best move?

"Oh hey, I know I basically disappeared from your life in your greatest time of need but let's just kiss and makeup? Damn it Shoyo!"

I made my way back into our room where I found Bokuto and Atsumu waiting.

"Hey Shoyo! What do you say we- WHOA!" Bokuto exclaimed, "Who nailed you?"

I ducked my eyes and tried to dart into the bathroom, "Uh.. nothing.. it's nothing, honest!"

"Oh no no no!" Atsumu caught me by the collar, "Explain yourself.."

"Yeah!" Bokuto pressed.

"I uh.. got hit by a volleyball.." I lied through my teeth.

"Yeah? And since when do volleyballs leave handprint indentions?" Atsumu interrogated.

"Oooo! Loverboy went to visit Miss Vanji!!" Bokuto squealed.

"Shh! Bokuto keep it down I don't want Kageyama to know I went against his wishes!" I hissed.

"Shoyo, I'm sure he knows already.." Atsumu suggested.

"Why do you say that?" I squeaked nervously.

"Because he texted everyone in the group chat he was going to be hanging out with Vanji and Tsukishima for a while," Bokuto answered flashing his phone screen of the texts.

"Oh crap.. he does know by now then.." I shivered.

"Sooo.. I'm assuming the attempt to rekindle this romantic flame went up in smoke?" Atsumu teased.

"... shut up.." I grimaced.

"You're going about things all wrong Hinata!" he chuckled, "Let ME tell you what you should do."

"Hey hey! What about me?? I have great lessons in love language!" Bokuto whined.

"Yeahhhh umm not to be harsh but when's the last time you actually went on a date Bokuto?" Atsumu remarked.

Suddenly, Bokuto was sitting in the furthest corner of the dorm facing the wall, a gloomy shadow over him along with a depressing aura.

"Andddd while he deals with that, Shoyo, lemme give you some pointers," Atsumu winked.

I'm definitely going to regret this...

Vanji's POV

After spending time with Tobio and Tsukishima, my emotions felt a bit more at ease. I laid on my bed in the dorm and was listening to my favorite playlists on my headphones.

It happened to be one that Hinata had made for me to help calm me before my matches similar to the ones he'd listen to on bus rides. I hated to admit it, but, even while he was gone, Hinata still managed to be a part of my daily routine.

I closed my eyes and started slowly taking in breathes rhythmically in through my nose and out my mouth. I felt calm wash over me. My music abruptly stopped and my phone began ringing.

I whined and looked at my phone's caller ID.

Incoming call read:

Unknown Caller.

Reluctantly, I pressed 'answer call'.

"Hello?"

"Hey.. it's me."

"Hinata? What-why are you calling from a different number?"

"You're telling me you'd answer if you saw it was me?"

I paused.

"Heh.. your silence gives away that answer."

"Hinata.."

"Can you meet me.. at Central Square? 45 minutes?"

"... Hinata.. I.."

"You can say no, but, I'd very much like you to humor me with a yes."

I swallowed, "... okay. Yes."

"Okay, I'll see you soon."

"Okay."

I heard the click of the call ending.

I groaned covering my face and collapsing back onto my bed, "Why am I such a masochist?"

"Remember your safe word honey!" Samantha hollered from the bathroom.

"Shut up!!" I shouted back.

I'm definitely going to regret this..
