Here's the final chapter to the HisakoxSoma story. I hope you all enjoy it. Shokugeki no Soma does not belong to me

Hisako had but one question in mind.

Was this really happening?

A wedding, that two syllable word brought her to a pause. Marriage was a huge milestone in a persons' life – it's a promise. Its vows exchanged between two individuals whom placed their complete trust and being into one another to always love, cherish and be there for the other.

That's why they had the part of for better or for worse, in sickness and in health written in there. She was promising herself to Yukihira Soma. More than that, she was surrendering all of her to him just as he to her.

Oh the panic, it was starting to set in. Should she go through…- a quick pause on top of her pause. Of course she was going to see this through. They hadn't come this far only for her to drop out the race, that wasn't within her ability to do.

Right now, out there, somewhere, was her beloved and soon-to-be betrothed handsome in his tux waiting for her at the altar where they would exchange their vows. Her vows? Hisako looked around the table for that neatly pressed piece of paper that had all her words written down on them.

"Okay, Hisako," she breathes, staring at herself in the mirror. She was beautiful. Breathtakingly so. Erina-sama did a great job picking out the dress for her – all of them did actually, Megumi, Alice, Ikumi, all of them contributed in some small and huge way to make her the beauty she was in the mirror for this day. "You got this."

Yukihira felt his feet going numb in these formal shoes he had to wear. Seriously, it was his wedding, he should be allowed to wear something comfortable if he had to stand here waiting for the bride to come.

"Which isn't for another 30 minutes, you country idiot!" his blonde friend, Takumi remarked from the pews. Honestly, this boy astounds him sometimes with how he acts and carries himself about – and to think this moron was getting married was a surprise in on itself too.

Isami chuckled, "you two sure haven't changed much," the other Aldini ushered for Soma to come sit with them on the pews. And he was grateful to be off his feet. No one told him to stand there and wait in the first place!

"And you changed a lot." Yukihira commented on the younger Aldini's appearance; it seemed over the years, Isami had settled for one weight/look which struck a balance between his chubby and thin self. A healthy weight so to say. Safe to say, the boy had a string of hearts behind him, if he were aware of it that is.

Soma sighed, "But 30 minutes, really…"

"Oi, quit complaining. Honestly, Yukihira, have some class especially on your wedding day." Takumi was saying but Soma tuned him out. He so wanted to just be anywhere but here – waiting and patience were never his strong virtue or skill.

"And no shokugeki till after the reception either!" Takumi made it a point to hammer that clause into the Yukihira thick skull.

Yukihira perked up, "Did you say Shokugeki?"

Takumi held up his clenched fist about to throttle the young man had it not been for his younger brother holding him by the shoulders, "WHY YOU COUNTRY HICK IF YOU RUIN THAT SUIT BEFORE THE WEDDING BEGINS I'LL…." His words trailed off into a series of angry muttering and incomprehensible growling at the red head.

Just as the girls were responsible for making Hisako look beautiful for her special day, the boys were also responsible for making Soma presentable and under no circumstances allow him near the kitchen. Which was how he ruined at least 3 tuxedos already.

Joichiro remaining out of sight seated just a few rows to the back sighs to himself, "the cost of those suits are gonna cost me at least 3 months of pay," the Asura could only imagine how that's going to affect his travel plans for the future. Why did it have to be from that one particular store in all of London? Saville Row, Joichiro made a mental note to get himself a new suit…after he finish paying for the 3 Soma ruined that is.

ETA to wedding was now 15 minutes.

Erina walked into Hisako practicing her vows before the mirror. "Nervous, eh?" she asked, and her former assistant nodded.

"Very."

"Well," the blonde girl smiled, "just take a deep breath and picture something that calms you down."

"Ginseng tea," Hisako said.

Erina chuckled, "Okay, but just do it quietly for yourself."

Hisako nodded, "Mmm"

Then the door opens again, it was Megumi walking in with the bouquet for Hisako. "Here you go," she handed the bundle of orchids and lilies, Hisako's favorite, to her. The seaside girl renowned for her hospitality was awestruck by the sight of Hisako in her dress.

"So pretty," she said as she started to assist Erina on her final checks on the dress. "Well, you're more than ready to be married now." The God's Tongue spoke.

"Come here, you" she pulls her assistant into a tight hug, "I'm so happy for you," tears of joy falling from her eyes.

Erina separates, "Okay," she sniffles, "Megumi, kindly help her with anything while I go check on the boys, okay." Megumi nodded.

It was almost time now.

On her way out, she found Alice just as well was heading to check on the bride along with the other two bridesmaid, Ikumi and Ryoko. "Oh perfect, I was just about to look for you two."

"Is everything well with the bride?" Ryoko inquired.

Erina nodded, "Hisako's fine, but nervous. But that's also understandable." Now Alice chimed in, "Well, the boys are doing a fine job restraining Yukihira from the kitchen if that's any comfort."

The strawberry blonde haired girl visibly deflated in relief, "Oh thank god. To believe he ruined 3 of Saville Rows finest suits. Honestly, that boy," she shook her head. She digressed. The less she had to worry about him the better for her mental health.

Alice giggled, "He really is something isn't he."

Ryoko nodded.

And Erina answered, "He is."

"Well," Alice added, "I was just on my way to tell you that the guest have been seated and we're all set to go."

Show time.

Soma was back facing the altar waiting on his soon-to-be wife as the first notes of the bridal march played. He breathes, "This really is it."

The groomsmen flanked his right, the bridesmaid to his left.

The smile never left his face even when he turned to see her walking down the aisle escorted by Joichiro. She was breathtaking. The girls did an amazing job with that.

It was surreal to be standing here in the sights of god and men with this beauty beside him.

"Dearly beloved," the priest began and went through the jargon of joining the two of them in holy matrimony and whatever else.

It was hard to believe that this all started on one stormy night. A night she convinced herself was only for one night and then they'd have no further contact thereafter, yet here they were about to be wedded to one another.

She peaked at him out the corner of her eye, "God, he was so handsome in his tuxedo." She squealed inwardly.

Then again, a lot of stories have unexpected plot twists. Hers was her marrying the one man that annoyed the living daylights out of her mistress – vexing as he was to Erina at times, she always found his wit and humor to be charming and seemed to wonder why is it that Erina failed to see beyond his vexing nature.

Must be a highborn thing, the girl simply chalked up as she wasn't much different from Erina early on in their introduction. At least she warmed up to him eventually.

To think so much could follow on from a single night. Those late night meetings after a job, or simply bumping into each other on their travels, and so much more. And she was grateful for it all.

"I do," Hisako answered the priest when he got to the part of taking Soma to be her lawfully wedded husband.

Then he priest got to Soma, "I do," he also answered.

Then came the part where the best man had to bring the rings to the couple. "QUIT SHUFFLING YOUR FEET AND GET A MOVE ON!" Alice shrieked at her assistant who was in his laid back and slow persona, whom was taking his sweet time to talk just 2 feet to Soma and Hisako.

"Yes…yes…" he answered and the guest all laughed. It's a good thing people here had a sense of humor so this kind of thing wasn't throwing anyone off of their rhythm. Alice grumbled some more when Ryo seemed to decrease his speed to the point a turtle could overtake him.

Taking matters she stomped away from the other bridesmaids to give him a literal push before Soma and Hisako, "sorry, he's a little slow today!" Alice giggled.

Soma took the ring in one hand, and Hisako's in the other and recited his vows:

"I love you, those 3 words don't seem to be enough to describe how I feel about you. And I am still trying to wrap my head around the thought of it all – we really came far haven't we, Hishoko? But I love you, and I am marrying you before all these people. Now I can't say I'm perfect, but I am willing to make the effort to be perfect for you. And I really wished I had put some more effort into my vows instead of trying to wing it like I am now."

The crowd chuckles.

"But I love you. And every second of every day, I am going to show you just how much I love you, Hisako."

There was an 'awww' coming from the guest as Soma closed his vows.

Now it was Hisako's turn. She thought, here goes nothing.

"Soma, when I first met you I found nothing charming about you. I could've named ten other men in our school then who would've proven themselves to be leagues above you. You vexed me and my Lady Erina every moment you had and you had nary the ability to read the room whenever you intrude upon us. Then there was your jokes, which were all dryer than a biscuit found in a military MRE. But I suppose that's what makes you so darn charming to me. You never give up. You push forward and you keep going and going for the sake of others, you carry the hopes and wishes of so many on your shoulders I wonder if you ever had dreams of your own. Then we happened – and I saw how amazing you can be. You've shown me a whole other world beyond my duties, and I learned how to live and I lived an awesome life, and now that we're here today, I know that life is going to be great. And I'm so happy that it is you so can we just skip the vows and get to the part where we're husband and wife."

They placed their rings on the others fingers and the priest declared, "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

That was the only time anyone else has seen Soma moved so fast outside a Shokugeki; the way he just pulled her into a deep and loving kiss that shook everyone and for others to cheer. "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. and Mrs. Yukihira!" Takumi announced to the cheers and claps of the guest.

Not bad for a happily ever after, thought Hisako. Not bad at all.
