The girl seemed to continue to struggle to respond. She was dressed strangely in an athletic green fuku and of a tall, strong build.

"I'm Kaiba Seto, you destroyed my property, the least you can do is tell me your name." Kaiba pressed.

The girls seemed to find her voice then. "Um, Makoto, I apologize, I just thought it was… real," she ended lamely.

Jounouchi and Kaiba both turned to look at one another then in surprise. What was this girl thinking?

"Um, they're holograms of duel monsters," Jounouchi answered finally, "they're not real monsters."

Makoto looked around sheepishly then, "ah sorry again- oh no, where's Chibiusa!?" she cried.

Jounouchi and Kaiba looked once again at one another, confusedly now. What was this girl talking about?

"Um… my goddaughter, she was just here, short with pink hair, oh no!" the girl continued to look around frantically.

"If a kid is missing, I can help you look for her," the blonde man offered, politely, "my name is Jounouchi by the way."

"You have testing to do," the taller man interjected.

"It's a child Kaiba," the blonde retorted firmly.

"Fine, we'll help you search the area for a bit but then we need to get back to work, especially after this fiasco that just took place," Kaiba reluctantly agreed.

"Thank you!" Makoto breathed, gratitude apparent, "I'm unfamiliar with this place," she said, looking down unusually distraught.

"Don't worry, stick with us," Jounouchi said, smiling reassuringly.

And they were off, making their way through what she learned was the town square of Domino City. They passed shops, restaurants and seating areas, but this child was nowhere to be seen on either end. The woman seemed to perk up anytime a pink haired stranger passed by, but none were her goddaughter.

"I'm sure we'll find her," Jounouchi reassured, "she maybe just got distracted by all the yummy smells."

The woman didn't seem convinced. "I wish I could be home, cooking right now," the girl said wistfully, "and that Chibiusa was safe. She's been in a lot of distress about her friend passing away soon."

"I'm sorry to hear that, we'll keep trying," the blonde said, and he looked over at Kaiba then, taking the taller man's slightly softer expression as acceptance.

"I love cooking too," the blonde continued, "and I've worked in this area so I'm fairly familiar with it. What kind of food does she like?"

"Pastries mostly," Makoto offered, sadness still lingering.

"There's one around the corner," Jounouchi said, and led the trio.

When they approached the specialty shop, for a moment, happiness was apparent on the brunette woman's face, "it's beautiful," she marveled, taking in the white and cheerful pink exterior. "It reminds me of a place I met my favorite wrestler at once while getting ice cream."

"I'm a wrestling fan too!" Jounouchi exclaimed, happy to find a fellow fan and provide a reprieve from her worry.

Makoto attempted a smile, her gaze lingering now on Jounouchi

"That's great, but we need to get moving," Kaiba spoke up, a frosty edge to his voice as he eyed them both carefully.

The three headed inside the dessert shop, but upon searching and inquiring after Chibiusa, there was no lead unfortunately.

On their way back to their original meeting spot in an effort to see if Chibiusa had returned searching for them, Jounouchi placed a reassuring hand on Makoto arm, "we'll find her," he said firmly.

"Thank you," Makoto smiled tearfully, "you've been so kind."

"Yes, he's as kind as he is blonde," Kaiba spoke again, eyeing Jounouchi through narrowed eyes as he comforted Makoto.

"Quit being a jerk, Kaiba," Jounouchi responded heatedly.

"I only spoke the truth," Kaiba smirked.

"You're one to talk, tall as you are unkind, Kaiba," Jounouchi countered back.

They rounded the corner to their original meeting location in Domino's square. But instead of Chibiusa, there stood a group of four women, who all turned to look at Makoto.

"Makoto!" they cried in relief and concern.

"Where's Chibiusa? We came as soon as Pluto found out that Chibiusa traveled to this dimension. Gotta say, it's a strange choice." The long black haired one pointed out.

"I don't know She ran off!" Makoto announced woefully.

"Dimensions? This sounds familiar…" Jounouchi spoke up, eyes widening with worry now.

"Yeah, unpleasantly so," Kaiba chimed in.
