Yo.

I understand that I've kinda ghosted this place for a while, and I'm very sorry for that. This update is going on both my stories, and I'm sorry to anyone who has been waiting for a new chapter on whichever one you were following. I understand you might feel disappointed when you see that a new chapter is up when in reality it's just...this. But you guys have a right to know what's going on, so I'll lay it all flat. Initially, I was only planning on slowing update times due to school, and doing well in my first semester-since I'll be graduating this year. Then, around Christmas Break and after first semester was over I wanted to get back into the faster schedule of updates like I was doing before in the summer. However, my math grades in particular were slipping a lot since the start of the year, and I ended up having to invest a lot more time then I was planning into keeping my average up-and it's still not even enough. I'll probably have to take night school next semester anyways-but enough about that. I was really excited for the Christmas Break, since I'd have like over 2 weeks to freely write and put out some good, well-planned chapters before I had to get working again for January. I had little Christmas Omakes and stuff planned for both my stories too that I couldn't wait to write-that is, until my grandma was hospitalized and later put into intensive care. I hope y'all can understand why that really demotivated me-and I really haven't felt like writing much of anything. I'm really not in the best of places right now.

So, I'm gonna make a few statements.

First off, I'm putting A Certain Ubiquitous Enigma on hiatus, which is disappointing for myself too-I had so much planned regarding that story, like fleshing out Aogami as a character with backstory to boot, expanding on Sogiita's ability, place within Academy City and the nature of gemstones in general, pushing a ton of obstacles for Accelerator to overcome, my own version of the World War Three, Battle Royale and Othinus arcs, the list goes on and on-but the time it would take to complete the story with all the details and quality I wanted has a high demand in turn on me-and I'm nor in the mood, creative mindset or satisfactory spot in my academics to continue it in good conscience while also trying to maintain quality. If things improve for me, then there is a possibility that I'll reboot the story later down the line-whenever that may be, with much more editing and quality control then I've exerted thus far, with a revised pace. Should that happen, then I can only hope that it's as good as I originally envisioned.

Second, I will be continuing Accelerator-sama: Love is Weird, for two primary reasons. First off, the plot that I had in mind for it is far, far less intricate then the one I had planned for ACUE; and also considerably shorter. Therefore, it's not gonna take years and years to finish. It started off as a sort of thought at the back of my mind; "How would Accelerator interact with the Kaguya-sama student council?" And stemming from that was another idea on top of another idea, and I eventually formed a plot line in my mind for it, and thought it was a fun idea. I haven't saturated it's plot plan nearly as much as ACUE, so it will also be easier to do quality control on it in turn. The second reason I have is because it actually received a lot more positivity in it's reviews then I expected. Accelerator-sama: Love is Weird was the first in it's category-that is, in terms of Toaru/Kaguya-sama crossover fics, at least on this site. Dunno about anywhere else. I wasn't even expecting like half of the positivity that it got to be honest, so it was a pleasant surprise to me. Since there's a lot of people who want to see it continued in addition to the fact that it'll be easier for me to write, I've decided to see it through to the end. But I want to make this bluntly clear-don't expect frequent updates. I have no idea what 2022 and beyond will be like for me, nor do I know when things are going to get better. I genuinely enjoy writing stories-I really do. When there comes a time that I'm in the mood to write, then I shall write. But there is no linear pattern to when that will happen. So if you're expecting weekly, or perhaps even monthly updates-don't. An update might come in a few days to a few months-it depends. I'm not the greatest writer, and definitely not the most consistent-so please don't set your expectations too high for me.

My third and last thing to say is that it's likely I might make a few more fics in the future. However, these will not be nearly as plot-focused as my other two unless I explicitly state otherwise. They'll likely be akin to little side stories and plot lines, written kind of in the style of one-shots. I've already got one of these in mind and started to explore my ideas with it a little-and before you guess, yes, it's Toaru-focused. (What can I say? I love the series.) I don't know when it'll be released, or if even will be in the first place-there's still a chance that I might scrap it, given that it's still in early stages. If I do end up releasing it, in regards to it's update frequency, refer to the above section. It'll follow the same rules.

That's all I have to say for now. Sorry for not saying anything until now, and I deeply apologize if I've disappointed you with what I said here. But hey, I'm human-and none of us are perfect.

If you made it here to the bottom, thank you for reading and I hope you can understand a little of where I'm coming from.

Have a Happy New Year and stay safe everyone!
