A/N: Thank you to those who've given kudos, likes, and comments. I've had quite the trial of life as of late, but I've come out on top, I'm in a better place in all forms, and I'm recently graduated. So here's hoping I get back into writing more often. I will also be showing these on my Tumblr, it's the same as my name here but without the numbers, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns don't be afraid to ask. Till next time everyone. Thank you again.

Special thanks to Tina19734, Bismarckingit, and Digieykid (and one other that has since been deleted) for your comments. Thank you to everyone who left a kudos. (On Ao3)

To Sonic 245 (ON ) thanks for your comments, Jeremy is an OC of mine for this series that was introduced in Scar of Redemption.

It took a while for the pair to get to the old statue, but once the umbrella was set and the music flowed, they sat down and listened for what felt like hours. The first child going over her first time in the underground, shown around by her brother. Said brother hadn't been seen in his usual spots as of late, and she wondered if he was okay, if the shock was too much or something. Their meal with Sans went decent despite the usual tension, but even after letting herself fall for the ketchup trick, she was still scared of him. He knew it too, but since no dust had fallen, he was giving her a chance to prove herself. Frisk was also proving herself even though she was seen as innocent. She knew deep down that if it wasn't for her curiosity, Chara may have not discovered LOVE and its effects. As they sat and listen, she too let her mind wander into the past. She blamed herself for the corruption, but she kept that to herself, what was the past, stayed in the past. All they could do now is move forward.

"Ready to run for our lives?" Chara asked with a bit of a chuckle after a while of comfortable silence. "Always." Frisk replied getting up and helping the other up before they headed deeper into Waterfall hand in hand.

At present time the three humans and flowers were just arriving in the room of the echo flowers, Jeremy was in an avid rant about how humans were stupid for letting go of such rich history and that he hoped to get it back up to the surface and such. Mid rant however he stopped at the sight of the strange flowers. "Wow…" Jeremy said becoming speechless. "Oh, thank the stars he shut up." Flowey commented, loud enough for a nearby flower to repeat it. "Rude…" Jeremy replied also getting repeated by a flower.

"Anyways these are echo flowers, you can probably guess why they are named that." Chara explained simply. "Yeah, no kidding these are cool." Jeremy said walking over to a few flowers and listening to them. "Some sound sad like there before the break some sound like after. "Yes, Monster used to tell these flowers their wishes, but after the barrier was gone, a lot of them spoke of their relief and gratitude of finally being free." Frisk responded with a smile walking over to one, that was Mk saying thanks to both her and Chara for breaking the barrier.

"Wow, that's awesome." Jeremy replied smiling as well before Flowey spoke up. "Alright, can we get to the village all these sappy echoes are giving me a headache." the flower said before getting an eye roll from Jeremy. "Geez way to ruin the mood what village are you talking about, and why do you seem excited to go so soon?" He called out looking curious. Chara turned to her brother as well. "Hey yeah, I thought you did like it." Chara pointed out. "Not entirely true, you might see why if you hurry up." Flowey said with a huff.

Frisk sighed. "Alright, we're going." She said simply, curious about it too, but patient enough to wait, she led the way down a hidden path into a brightly lit cave. "Welcome to Tem Village." Cara said gesturing around, various dog cat monsters were around playing or doing whatever they did in their spare time. Jeremy looked confused for a moment "I thought all the monsters left for the surface?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

Meanwhile, Flowey had asked Frisk to let him down so Chara did the explaining. "Yes well, the Tems here live more of a…simple life so felt no need to leave, they are content to stay here, plus most won't brave outside the village." Chara replied. "Key word most." Flowey said now settled in the dirt of the village floor. "Yes, well there was a Tem we encountered outside of the village, and then there's the shopkeeper who went to cool leg aka college, and I think that's it." Chara replied looking to Flowey for clarification. "Yeah, and one more." Flowey said before whistling loudly before getting tackled by a Tem with a brown bomber jacket on.

"FLOWWEEEY!" they screeched the top of their lungs before nuzzling the indifferent flower. "Hi Temmiela, you can get off now." He replied sounding like he was used to this, which he was. "Nu-uh first give Tem Kiss." She replied with a happy grin and wag of her tail. Flowey sighed simply before quickly pecking her lips with a short kiss causing the four-legged monster to roll back on her back in excitement and squeal with delight, letting the flower prince up from the ground. "Flowey…. who is this?" Chara asked with a mischievous grin starting to form on her lips.

Flowey sighed again knowing what was to come as all three looked at him expectantly as Temmiela herself calmed down on the side. "Temmiela, these are my sisters, Chara and Frisk, and their friend Jeremy also known as meat bag. Everyone, this is Temmiela. My Girlfriend." Flowey announced simply. "Oh my God…I'll let the meat bag thing slide because how in the world did you accomplish that?" Jeremy asked exasperatedly. "Don't you, does she know...how…." He continued not forming proper sentences to his surprise. "You have a girlfriend, I have milage yes." Chara cheered with a grin. Frisk however smiled and knelt to Temmiela to say hi. "Hey, Temmiela, keeping our brother out of trouble?" Frisk asked simply. Temmiela giggled. "More like he keeps Tem out of trouble, that's how Temmiela and Flowey met." She replied with a happy smile.

"Oooh this I gotta hear." Chara said moving to sit down near frisk who moved to get comfortable, Jeremy followed suit much to Flowey's discontent. He sighed but didn't stop her from letting them know. "Guess it's better if they hear it from you anyways." He said with a small hidden smile. Temmiela shrugged. "Not much for Tem to tell, but Temmiela went exploring and went too far past the echoes and fell in the water, Flowey got Tem out and brought Tem back to Tem Village, Hung out since then." Temmiela explained. "Okay, but do you know…everything?" Jeremy asked carefully.

She tilted her head in question not sure what he was talking about until Flowey whispered in her ear. "Oh that, yes Temmiela knows, Flowey is Prince who lost his soul, Sisters can or could reset underground, Temmiela plans to help Flower get a soul someday, not sure how though." Temmiela explained frowning slightly at the end. "Aw don't worry if anyone can help get him a soul, it would be you, his girlfriend." Jeremy assured shocking Flowey a bit, not that he'd admit his surprise and gratitude towards his girlfriend's assurance.

"Aw, thanks, I don't know how but When I go to the surface, I'll figure something out." Temmiela said determinedly. "Excuse me what?" Flowey asked suddenly looking at her surprised. His tone suggested that he did not like what he just heard, and the three humans quickly got up to give the two some space. Frisk took Jeremy to see the store while Chara hung back to see if she needed to intervene.

Flowey apparently didn't know this plan was a thing and was not fond of it or in agreement with it. "No, you can't, you could get hurt, Hotland will burn you to dust before you even take two steps into it." Flowey told her. "Tem has been training magic to stop that, no need to worry about Tem, Tem can tag along with you." She explained in her defense. "I said no Temmiela, it's hard enough to get through there ourselves, and I can't guarantee that I could protect you." Flowey said in frustration admitting that he felt that he couldn't keep her safe. "You don't need to Tem; no, I promise I'll be okay." Temmiela replied pleadingly. "I can't allow you to come with us, that's final." Flowey said in finality.

Temmiela frowned at him tears starting to fall from her eyes. "Fine…. Don't come back…" She spat out before running off deeper into the village. Flowey sighed in defeat before noticing that Chara was still nearby. "I'll wait out by the echo flowers." He said simply before digging into the ground and disappearing from sight. By then Frisk and Jeremy had made it back to where Chara stood. "So, what happened." Jeremy asked seeing that both monsters were no longer in sight. Chara sighed, they had a fight, you both go talk to Flowey I'm going to talk to Temmiela." Chara said filled with determination before turning and heading off to where Temmiela went.

"Oh boy, hope everything is okay…" Frisk said aloud. "Me too, but something tells me Chara has it covered, let's go see how your brother is holding up." Jeremy said as they headed out of the village. Inside the village after some asking around, Chara found Temmiela's personal alcove, A bit of a tight fit to crawl into for a human but she managed to get in and find the Tem crying her soul out on a fully packed backpack. She was ready to go to the surface. Chara sighed and moved to pick up Temmiela and comfort her till she could talk to her. When the Tem finally could speak, she asked Chara what she thought about everything that happened.

"Well, how he approached the subject could have gone better, but it is obvious despite his lack of a soul, that he cares about, He's just not good at showing it because of his lack of a soul." Chara explained in reassurance. "I know…But… can… I make the journey or am I not ready?" She asked honestly. "Temmiela, it doesn't matter what I think or even Flowey, you said you've been training, so what do you think?" Chara asked seriously.

"I think…" Temmiela began before getting interrupted. "What do you know." Chara corrected. "I know…I know I can make the journey." Temmiela said. "I can't hear you." Chara egged on. "I know I can make the journey!" Temmiela said proudly. "And prove my brother wrong, now here's what you'll need to know." Chara said while pulling a notepad and a pen out of her hoodie and continuing her instructions.

Later Chara came out of the village to find the others trying to reassure Flowey to no avail. When He spotted Chara, he perked up. "Did… did she say anything?" He asked knowing he messed up. "No worries, bro, next time you see her, all will be well I promise." Chara said simply without any further explanation. She then scooped him up and placed him back into his pot in Frisk's backpack. "Let's continue, shall we?' Chara asked already headed down the path, Frisk and Jeremy looked at each other and shrugged before following suit down the path to the rest of Waterfall and Hotland.
