Chapter 52: Date
Nine in the half. Clem thought. She checked out her left hand. Bending every finger. Watching how she's missing part of her ring finger. A dry sigh escaped from her lips.
It had been three week since that night of the party. She recently recovered from the bullet wound above her chest but the pain was still there when she tried to flex her arm up. Whenever she had to put on a shirt or even her bra, she started feeling disabled and call for Carley's help.
School haven't changed. Paper after paper. Quizzes then tests. Friends, strangers, and annoying teachers.
Everything stayed the same.
Except for him.
Clem went up to her boyfriend who was quietly standing next to Marlon and Mitch. The guys were talking about some video game, not realizing Clem coming closer.
Louis picked up his head. His arms opened and she rushed towards him in a hug. Pressing her cheek on his chest. He rested his chin on top of her favorite cap.
"Had you talked to them yet?" Clementine mumbled. Only Louis heard her. He shook his head. Rocking her with his body.
Clem pouted.
When they went to the hospital, Louis found out his mother was someone else. Someone he discovered in a suit case of a bunch of photos, letters, and other junk between his biological parents.
Lately, he been ignoring his parents and his so called mother. He can't stand to look at the adults. They made him into a fool. Pretending his father's life is perfect but he's nothing but a evil sick joke.
Louis doubted that he was his son but he knew his father appealing looks was passed down to him. Especially the freckles and light brown skin. Neither of the adults that raised him had coil hair like his but that woman. The way she ran her mouth, smile, and be fascinated or excited was definitely from Michonne. Lance personality was nothing compared to Louis's enthusiasm.
He didn't talk to her as much after the hospital but she did get his number.
Everything fell off that day at the hospital quite messy. And that New Year night, he had to perform on stage.
He fucked it up. Lance pointed out. Not caring his son got an injury on his upper arm.
His father and the lady that he married didnt talk to him for four days. After that, Lance blew up I'm his face about his performance. Louis sat there, feeling lost and empty like he did at the stage.
He didnt bother calling or telling Clem about it until the second week.
Louis's self esteem went from one hundred to twenty.
He reminded her herself when she was under the weather. Yet he cheered her up for the most part.
Now the coin had flipped, it was her job to help him.
"Wanna come over?" She lifted her head. Louis shrugged.
He never been this quiet before. Clem bit her lip.
"We can watch any movie you like. I can order pizza and take out the bag of pretzels I've been hiding from you in the pantry." She tried smiling, bouncing on her tippy toes.
Louis's brows knitted as a small smile formed on his face. He nodded his head.
"Can this be our official date?" He asked. Clem's cheeks flushed red. She looked elsewhere.
Nodding her head slowly.
"I-I don't mind." She really didnt. As long as they're together, it's always a date to her. It could be the corniest, cheesiest, cliche date ever. And she'll love every minute of it.
Louis pushed her chin up. Lifting her eyes back on him.
"I'll be there around seven." He gave her a soothing kiss.
The bell rung and Marlon patted Louis's back. The tall boy with dreads waved as he left with his friend. Clem waved back. Then headed to her class.

Clementine arranged the livingroom like the day they slept in it when he rescued Sam at the ice skating ring.
The house was freezing cold so she took out and plugged in the heater just in case they get too cold. Blankets laid out on the couch. Flat screen television ready on Netflix. She already called Dominos for two small pies, one meat lover and the other one cheesy with pepperoni and plain.
"What's all this for?" Lee chuckled. He stepped down the stairs seeing his Sweet Pea setting paper plates on the coffee table.
"She has a date night with you know who." Carley came behind him. Lee raised his brow.
"When were you going to tell me this? First the alcohol, then the hickies...what's next? Babies?"
"No! And like I said before, all I had was soda that night. How many times do I have to tell you? I swear on my parents above." Clem placed her hand on her heart.
"Fine. But the hickies..."
"...What?..."
Clem scrunched her face. Lee cleared his throat. Before he could repeat himself, Carley pushed Lee to the stairs.
"Leave her alone. She's happily in love."
"Love?!"
"Lee!" The two climbed up the stairs bickering. Clem felt her hot cheeks. Hoping they calm down from all that embarrassment.
The doorbell rung and she flew to the door. She sighed. She checked herself from a closest mirror. Fluffed up her curls. She ended up scrunching it into a small bun to the side.
Finally, the girl opened the door for Louis. He caught the pizza man on time, paying him cash. When he came in, Clem dust off the snow on him.
"I'll pay you back." She said as she helped him with the boxes. He sucked his teeth.
"Fairy, I'll pay for food. That's rule number two." He said as he removed his coat. Hanging it on the wall. He took off his timberland boots, placing them on the side.
Her pet name really warmed her up. She set the boxes down and hugged the tall boy.
"Fine. But what's rule number one?" She questioned him with curiosity in her eyes. Louis smirked. He leaned down, brushing his lips on hers. Clem fluttered her lashes low. Already sinking into a total bliss.
He pulled away. Her eyes opened slightly as she smiled.
"Rule number one is to treat you like my queen." He said. Clem bumped her elbow lightly on his stomach.
"Cheesy." She said.
While the two sat back on the couch eating one slice at a time, their eyes were glued on the TV screen. Louis picked out the movie Waterboy.
In the middle of the movie, they finished the second box of pizza. Well, Louis did. Clem cuddled up on his side. Getting a quick whiff of his scent. Louis always smell good. Which she admired.
"My-my mom-momma said sniffing me is-is the devil." He joked. Clem busted out giggling. Louis laughed with her.
"My-my momma said kiss-kiss me." She whispered. Louis chuckled as he cupped the side of her face, pulling her to him.
Clem stroke his dread locks back to see his face as she crawled on his lap. Straddling him, she ran her soft small hand down his face.
She gave him a short peck on the lips. Louis smiled. Clem loped her arms around his neck, hugging him close to her.
"Ack!" She brought her left arm down. Frowning at the not healed chest. Louis held her hips.
"You're okay?" He massaged her sides with his thumb. Clem nodded.
"Yeah. It still hurts." She pouted her lips. Louis chuckled, pressing his lips over hers. He felt her smiling in the kiss.
"How about you?" She barely moved her lips away from his. They didn't mind zero space between them. It was very... sweet and romantic gazing into each other, pressing their bodies close.
"My arm feeling better but things are still awkward at home." He told her. She got off him, resting on the arm of the chair. Louis laid his head on her chest as his body rested between her legs.
"Is Marlon making things worst?" She assumed. Louis rolled his head, to look at her golden eyes.
"Of course. Him sleep talking is the worst. I don't know how Brody sleep through that." Apparently, Marlon is living in Louis's bed room. His parents aren't aware of his temporary stay. They just think he's sleeping over. Along with Rosie.
"I heard from Violet that Brody snores like a truck."
"They were meant to be then." He grumbled. Clem giggled. Listening to her cute laughter lightened the mood.
"This officially the best day ever in January." Louis sighed on her chest. His ear on her chest, listening to her throbbing heart.
Clem fiddled with his locks between her fingers.
"I'm glad to be in service." She winked.
"That's my line." He rose up, crawling over her. Her eyes widen. Why this reminded her of her dream.
"My now."
"No way. You can't take my words and own them." He gave her a long kiss after saying that. With her right hand, she cupped his sharp jaw. Their lips pressed against each other hard.
Clem broke the kiss to speak.
"Says who? A beluga?" She chuckled. Louis laughed. Her lame ass humor wasn't funny but the idea of her trying was.
"No daddy." He dived back in for another kiss. The two forgetting about the movie. The screen was the only thing illuminating the couple on the couch. Seeing each other in the dark and being left alone without parental supervision grew hotter than ever.
Clem made the first move by cupping his nape, leaning him closer. She pushed her tongue in his mouth, swirling it around his muscle. Louis let out a quiet laugh as he played with her tongue. Tickling it from the middle. She shivered under him.
Even though he felt warm, Louis shield theirselves with the lightest blanket. Blocking any audience view and giving them some what privacy.
He kissed down her neck. Licking and sucking certain spots that will make Lee yell at them again.
Louis's longer fingers entwined with her hand as the other carefully managed to slithered under her t-shirt. Caressing her flat belly.
He watched her fixed on him as she bit down her lip. He trailed kisses down. Between her breasts to her stomach. His hand crawling up as his lips travelling down. She didnt know where to concentrate.
When his tongue lapped circles around her bellybutton, her guts flip flopping around. She tucked in her lips, keeping her from saying anything. Waiting patiently for his every move.
The dread lock boy started kissing over her stomach, up to her small chest. His nose lifting up her shirt while his lips massaged her smooth than skin. Clem clapped her hands over her lips. Muffling for him to stop. Her body betrayed her.
He stopped at her bra band between her bosoms, lifted up a bit, even though she was dressed boyish she was still a turn on for him.
His digits raked over her stomach. Feeling her heavy, nervous trembling breathing. His fingers tapped over her ribs as if she was his piano.
Playing with each rib.
"Clem...?" He called for her. His voice gave her the shivers. She blinked, gulping down. She moved her hand from her mouth.
"Yes?" She peeped out.
"Where's the pretzels?"
All that heat that was rushing through her suddenly drained away. The smile on his cheesy face needed a great punch on the cheek. She pushed him off her, whipped off the blanket and marched in the kitchen.
Louis slouched back. Sighing. He ruffled his dreads back. He felt terrible but in a good way. He didn't want his girlfriend think he's bad. Bad for thinking too much of stuff with her. Louis rubbed his face. How do Louis tell her he want her so bad?
She came back with the bag of pretzels.
"Happy?" She sat next to him with the bag on his lap. She opened it and grabbed a few pretzels. Plopping them in her mouth.
"Very." He said to her. He'll figure it out some day. Just not now. He rather enjoy her company and be away from his parents for a while.
