The morning after Harry's robbery was the Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff match and Harry looked ill where he sat at the Gryffindor table.

"Eat up Harry! You'll need a hearty breakfast." Wood called from further up the table.

Five minutes later and The group accompanied Harry as he climbed the stairs to Gryffindor Tower to retrieve his broomstick. They had just reached the staircase when a eerie voice sounded in Bella's ears; 'Kill... rip... tear'. Bella clamped her hands over her ears as Harry yelled aloud.

"What? What is it?" Ron asked, looking between Harry and Bella.

"That voice. I heard it again. In the walls." Harry replied.

"Did you hear it?" Ron asked.

"Yeah." Bella breathed, nodding her head.

Harry and Bella shared a look as Hermione eyes widened.

"I've just realised something. I need to go to the library!" She said and hurried off down the corridor.

"What could she possibly have realised?" Freya laughed.

"A hell of a lot more than us, that's for sure." Ron replied.

"What could possibly be in the library though?" Emily asked.

"Beats me, Hermione will know though." Bella replied.

"As Hermione always says, 'if in doubt, go to the library'." Harry added.

Bella and Harry looked around the corridor, hoping to catch a sound of the voice again. Their efforts were in vain as students began to flood the corridor from the Great Hall and the chatter echoed around them.

"You better hurry, the game'll be starting soon." Ron said.

Harry raced off up the staircase as Ron turned slowly to look at Bella.

"Are you okay, Bella?" He asked, taking her hand in his and giving it a gentle squeeze.

"Yeah. Yeah I'm okay." She smiled, squeezing his hand back.

"Are you sure?" Freya asked, linking her arm through Bella's other arm.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Promise." Bella smiled.

Ron dropped Bella's hand and Emily took the arm he had dropped in her own as the three girls set off for the Quidditch pitch, Ron traipsing behind grumbling about girls and stealing his sister. Once in the stands, Ron took the seat on Freya's left and Seamus and Dean took the seats on Emily's other side.

"Do you want me to swap with you?" Emily asked Seamus.

"Nah it's okay, you girls sit together." He replied with a cheeky wink.

The Gryffindor's screamed their enthusiasm as the Gryffindor team flew onto the pitch, Oliver Wood front and centre. The Hufflepuff team joined them on the pitch and Madam Hooch was seconds away from starting the game when Professor McGonagall came running onto the pitch with a giant megaphone in her hand.

"The match is cancelled!"

Oliver Wood stumbled as he landed, running towards her with his broom between his legs. Harry had barely mounted his broom before he froze, one leg suspended in the air as he stared at Professor McGonagall in devastation.

"All students please return to your house dormitories immediately were your head of house will give you all more information. Quick as you can please!"

"Let's go and see what's going on." Ron said.

The four second years made their way quickly down the stairs onto the pitch. Bella spotted Harry trudging off towards the castle behind Professor McGonagall and grabbed Ron's arm as she pointed towards them.

"We need to go and see what's going on." Bella added.

The four of them set off, half walking, half running towards Harry and McGonagall. When they fell into line with the pair, McGonagall turned to look at them with sorrow filled eyes.

"Yes, I suppose you all should come along too."

Bella shot Harry a look of confusion and he shrugged his shoulders. The students they passed on their way into the castle were a mixture of annoyed that there was no Quidditch match and worried what that meant. The five of them followed Professor McGonagall into the castle and up the grand staircase but they had no idea where they were headed.

"Now, this may come as a bit of a shock." McGonagall spoke in an unusually soft voice as they approached the hospital wing.

Madam Pomfrey was attending to an older girl with curly black hair and Bella's heart sank when she recognised the body in the bed next to her.

"Hermione." Ron groaned.

Freya wrapped her arm around Ron's shoulders and rubbed his arm comfortingly. Bella took Harry's hand and squeezed and Emily looped her arm through Bella's.

"They were both found just outside of the library. This was found on the ground beside them." Professor McGonagall held a small compact mirror in her hand. "Does this mean anything to you?"

They all shared a look and Bella shook her head.

"Very well. I will escort you all back to Gryffindor Tower. I must address my students."

"All students must be in their dormitories for six o'clock each evening. No one is to leave their dormitory after this time. You will be escorted to and from your classes by a teacher. You must only got to the toilet if accompanied by a teacher. All future Quidditch matches and training is hereby terminated and there will be no evening activities."

Professor McGonagall spoke quickly to the silent common room. She rolled up the parchment she had been reading from and tucked it in her robe pocket.

"Need I add that if the culprit of these attacks is not apprehended then the school may very well close down. I would urge any students who thinks they may know something to come forward."

Professor McGonagall left the common room after her speech, leaving a hoard of stunned students in her wake.

"There's now two Gryffindor's attacked, not including the Gryffindor ghost, one Ravenclaw and one Hufflepuff." Fred and George's friend Lee commented angrily.

"Haven't any of the teachers noticed not one Slytherin has been attacked?" Fred added.

"The heir of Slytherin, a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, isn't obvious it's a Slytherin doing this?" George said.

"I don't know if any of you have noticed but it's our friend who has been petrified!" Bella cried.

"We know sis, we're just as worried as you are." Fred said softly.

"I doubt that." Bella growled.

"It's not worth it." Freya comforted, pulling Bella into her arms as she sat down on the sofa beside her.

"Percy's being awfully quiet." Emily commented.

"That Ravenclaw, Penelope Clearwater, she's a Prefect. Percy never believed the monster would dare attack a Prefect." George whispered to them.

The twins sauntered off to find Lee again and the second years all shared a look.

"What are we going to do now?" Ron asked.

"Should we ask Hagrid about all this?" Freya asked.

"I don't want to believe he's responsible this time but if he opened the chamber fifty years ago then he'll know how to get into the chamber and that's as good a place as any to start." Harry replied.

"But, how are we going to speak to him if we're not in class? We're not allowed to leave." Bella questioned.

"I think it's time we use my dad's cloak again." Harry replied.

"Will we all fit under it?" Bella asked.

"I don't mind staying here if we won't. You can fill me in later." Freya replied.

"Yeah, me too. " Emily added. "You guys go and you can tell us what happened when you come back."

"Are you sure?" Ron asked.

"Yeah." Emily replied as Freya nodded her head.

A little while later and the three girls were all sat in their dorm, waiting for Harry and Ron to come and get Bella. They would sneak out tonight to speak to Hagrid and find out all they could about the chamber of secrets. The girls were all staring between each other and Hermione's empty bed.

"I can't believe she's been attacked." Bella whispered.

"I can't believe it either." Emily replied.

"What do you think about the mirror they were found with?" Freya asked.

"I'm not sure but knowing our Hermione, there's definitely a reason." Bella replied.

Before they could utter another word there was a soft knock at the door and Ron's head appeared in the doorway. Now or never thought Bella.
