Prologue
Note: I don't own Mega Man. I only own this game concept.
I've seen a couple of Mega Man fan games on the internet, and some of them are pretty good. But recently, I found a concept for a Mario and Luigi game on . So I decided to share my ideas for a Mega Man game here. Alright, let's start with the intro stage and story.
Dr Light was working at his lab, making new robots, but when he turned around to get a drink, he saw Dr Wily's silhouette behind him. He tried questioning the mad scientist, but all he got was a muffled noise. Wily was gagged! While Light was pondering on who could have done this, something grabbed him from behind, and pulled him away.
Meanwhile, Rock and Roll were peacefully walking home with some shopping. However, this was interrupted by a plasma blast. Robots were attacking the city! Turning into Mega Man, Rock blasted through the mechanical army with his own plasma cannon. After reaching Dr Light's Lab, Mega Man noticed a hole had been blasted in the side of the house. Going through his home, the super fighting robot found an unconscious Dr Light and Wily being dragged through a portal by none other than Quint, Mega Man's evil copy from an alternate future! Mega Man tried freeing them, but Quint sent his robot jackhammer, Sakugarne to slow him down. The hero won, but Quint escaped with the doctors.
While Mega Man was fighting through the horde of robots, in another part of the city, Proto Man was blasting through some other robots, who had tried attacking him on the outskirts of town. He too, found the raided Light household, but after Mega Man did. Bass was also there, due to him tracking down the missing Dr Wily, who sent a distress call. This led to a fight as Proto thought that Bass attacked the house, while Bass suspected the Lights of kidnapping Wily. After the fight, Mega Man warned the two that Quint was the one who attacked the city and kidnapped the doctors.
At the highest building in the city, a female robot appears. Her creator, Dr Cossack, has sent her to find the location of Dr Wily, a villain using a machine powered by illegal dark energy. After jumping through some skyscrapers occupied by Quint's army, the robot, Allegro, finds Blitz, Quint's version of Rush. They fight, with Allegro coming out on top, but the robot dog escapes.
Then, a message played across the city from Quint. He announced that his time under Wily's control had made him realize who evil humans are, and he had used a mind control device he stole from Dr Wily to make the evil genius build him an army, and upgrade the eight industrial robots that sided with him into robot masters. Now he had Light under his control as well, he wanted to force them to upgrade the mind control machine. His plan was to eliminate around one half to 3 quarters of all humans, than use the device to make the rest into slaves for the robots. Upon seeing this, Mega, Proto, Bass and Allegro decided to defeat Quint. But he had a secret fortress that could only be revealed once all of his 8 robot masters were defeated and their IC chips were brought to a tiny island in the middle of the ocean. With this, the adventure begins…
INTRO STAGE:
Location - Streets (Mega) Park (Proto) Alleyways (Bass) Rooftops (Allegro).
Boss - Sakugarne (Mega) Bass (Proto) Proto Man (Bass) Blitz (Allegro)
Sakugarne will hop in Mega Man's direction and try to hit him. He might also hover in the air for a bit, then come down so fast, rocks come out of the ground. This happens every five hops.
Bass will fire brief shots as he dashes around the room. He does have one dangerous attack though. He stays still for a bit, then fires a long stream of rapid fire shots in the direction he's facing. This attack can't be jumped over, so get behind Bass to avoid damage.
Proto Man will fight like the Break Man minibosses from Mega Man 3. He will jump across the room, shooting as he goes. Due to his shield, Bass can only hit him by shooting from behind, or attacking when he touches the ground. Thankfully, Proto stops for a bit when he reaches the end of the room, allowing Bass to hit him easily.
Blitz has some tricks up his paws. Quint outfitted him with a cannon that can shoot both bouncy balls and regular shots. He also has a special attack where he turns into a form similar to Rush Jet and drops bombs across the arena. While it is possible to avoid this by just jumping, the intended method of dodging is via Allegro's hover ability, so the attack doesn't cover the entire floor when using challenge mode to play as Mega, Proto or Bass.
And that's the intro stage for this game concept. Also, you probably noticed that I mentioned a character called Allegro. Well, she's a new OC I came up with for this concept. She follows the music naming scheme of characters like Rock, Roll, Bass and Treble, as Allegro means that a piece of music should be played at a bright and lively tempo, like her personality. Allegro is a robot made by Dr Cossack to help clear up the evil energy left over from Wily. She is unique in that her basic shots don't have as much range as other characters and she doesn't have any Rush/Tango/Treble abilities like the others, but makes up for it by her shots being larger with more attack power and the ability to hover for a bit in mid-air. Also, you can find the letters "MEGA" in four of the robot master stages. This gives an upgrade depending on what character you're playing as. I'll talk about the upgrades further when we reach Quint Stage 1.
That's all I have to say on the Intro stage and Allegro. Next time, we cover the first Robot Master, Elf Man!
