Kevin parked the car and Jay frowned at him. Her bright pink eyes had gone glassy and she looked like she was sweating. She didn't look well. Tucking her keys in his pocket Kevin unclipped her seatbelt. He got out and helped Jay out of the car. She frowned a bit deeper.

"Why are we at your house?" She grumbled.

"Because I don't know what to do to help, so we're going to my mom." Kevin glanced over at her. She seemed to be looking worse by the minute. Looking her over now he could see quite a few signs of what had happened beyond her now pink eyes. The tips of her hair, normally a deep brown, were bright pink and she now looked a little green around the gills. "Are you gonna throw up again?" Jay shook her head.

"Probably not." She didn't sound so sure of herself. But Kevin gritted his teeth and kept going as Cooper pulled up onto the driveway. A light flicked on and Kevin frowned, not looking forward to having to explain this to his mother. She was in administration at one of the local hospitals. Cooper raced straight to the door and nearly fumbled the spare key getting inside. But he managed to get the door open just as Kevin reached it. He moved out of the way and Kevin practically dragged Jay over the threshold. His mother stepped out of her room and blinked.

"Kevin what's going on?" Kevin grinned guiltily.

"Hey mom. This is Jay. She's been helping me look for dad." Jay rolled her eyes, seeming resigned to being dragged around Kevin's house.

"For all the good it's done me." She muttered under her breath. Moira Levin frowned and crossed her arms.

"Kevin, take Cooper and get the guest room set up." Moira stepped forward taking Jay off Kevin's hands and maneuvering Jay to the couch. "Have you eaten tonight sweetie?" Jay shook her head looking confused as Moira carefully deposited her on the couch, expertly wrapping her in a blanket. "I'll be right back with some water, and something for you to eat." Jay blinked after Kevin's mom as she left the living room.

Kevin pulled a fresh blanket out of the closet and looked up as his mother cleared her throat.

"Do you know if there were drugs involved?" She was blunt, as always.

"No. You know how Glen is like a wizard?" Moira nodded.

"She's a witch?"

"Sorceress." He clarified. Moira nodded.

"Ok anything I need to know about taking care of a sorceress?" She asked and Kevin shrugged.

"No clue. She's sort of on a whole other level than Glen. It looked like the guy was trying to drain her powers but I don't know how accurate that is or what that would mean for her." Kevin explained quickly, his mother nodded at him.

"Ok that's what I needed to know." She turned on her heel and headed into the kitchen. Kevin and Cooper finished switching out the sheets and blankets from the slightly dusty spares to a fresh set quickly. The smell of fresh food lured them into the living room where they found Jay wrapped in two different blankets sipping a large mug of chicken noodle soup. Moira handed a mug to Kevin and one to Cooper. "Anyone care to explain what happened?" She asked as she blew on her own mug to cool the contents a bit. Kevin's face dropped slightly as he reached into his pocket and pulled out the holo-viewer that had caused all of this trouble.

"She went through a lot to get this. It was supposed to be dads." Jay nodded.

"Yeah, and I'd like to know if it was worth it, play the thing Levin." Kevin snorted at Jay and took a deep breath before pressing the side of the holo-viewer. The image that popped up was in fact Devin Levin, wearing jeans and a black button up shirt. The small group stared at the message as Devin smiled at Kevin.

"Kevin, if you found this message you're in deep. I never wanted to have to drag you into this but hopefully you wont be on your own from here on out. You'll have been meeting some of the other Plumbers kids. You'll need to find more. Put together a team. Hopefully I'll see you soon kiddo. I love you. Tell your mom I love her." The holo-viewer went dark and Kevin put his head in his hands. His mother stood and pulled him into a hug. Jay frowned and stood, still slightly shaky on her feet.

"I should get going." Moira released her son and shook her head at Jay.

"You are in no condition to drive. We have a spare room. You can stay the night there." Jay looked like she was going to protest but after a slightly more severe glare from Moira Levin she shrugged and allowed herself to be led off to the spare room. Moira stayed gone for a while and Kevin frowned as Cooper hugged him at the door, heading home for the night. He rounded to corner in the hallway and almost ran smack into Jay.

She had changed out of her clothes, the same ones she'd worn for the deal with the Forever Knights, into what he recognized as his Nirvana t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants that could only belong to his mother. She was starting to look a little better. Though her eyes remained pink the bright color was slowly fading from her hair, turning it back to its natural brown. She'd stumbled when he bumped into her, his hands shot out to catch her, one hand ended up on her elbow the other around her waist. She laughed lightly, gently pulling back. He let her go easily.

"At least buy a girl a drink first Levin." She teased, but there was a distinctive blush on her cheeks as she disappeared into the spare room. His mother cleared her throat from the doorway to her room.

"She's cute Kevin. You have good taste." Kevin went bright red.

"Mom! She's not my girlfriend!" Moira laughed at her son's lowered tone.

"Don't worry, you'll get there if you're careful." Kevin snorted at his mother.

"I don't think she'd be into me mom. I get the feeling that she'd be more attracted to bad boys." Moira shrugged.

"Whatever you say Kev. Get some sleep tonight." He hugged her and nodded.
