"This means there's another Parselmouth in the castle. It's not just me and Bella!" said Harry, brewing with excitement.

"What are we going to do now?" asked Freya.

"Should we go and tell McGonagall?" added Emily.

"She'll be in the staff room, it's nearly break." replied Harry.

The five of them ran from the Hospital Wing all the way down to the staff room. It was a very large room full of dark oak furniture. Bella, Freya and Emily stood against the wall while Harry and Ron paced in front of the large sofa. Ten minutes passed and the bell for break never came. They were startled when the magically magnified voice of McGonagall carried through the corridors: 'All students please return to your house dormitories promptly. All staff to the staff room. Immediately'.

Harry and Ron turned to stare at the girls as the pushed off the wall.

"Not another attack? Surely not."

"What should we do? Go back to the common room?" said Ron.

"No!" said Harry hurriedly. "We'll wait in here and see what it's all about then we can tell them what we know."

Harry pulled open the door of a very ugly looking cupboard full of the Professor's cloaks. He pulled the invisibility cloak from his bag and flung it over himself, climbing into the cupboard. Ron climbed in after him and Emily after him. Freya had just pulled the cloak over herself when the door handle rattled. Bella clambered into the cupboard and pulled the door shut behind her. Before Bella had a chance to cover herself with the cloak, the door of the cupboard was pulled open violently and Snape's furious face was staring down at Bella's terrified one.

"Out." growled Snape and Bella, as quickly as she could, scurried from the cupboard. She pushed the doors of the cupboard shut with a slam, holding it shut behind her with her hands.

"What are you doing in the staff room?" hissed Snape, his anger radiating off of him in waves.

"Well - you see I - I wanted to know what was going on." stuttered Bella, turning her face away from him.

Bella's heart thrummed in her chest as Snape stared down at her, his heavy breath hitting her face. Snape turned on his heel and strode over to the door, pulling it open. He turned over his shoulder and glared at her where she still stood protectively in front of the cupboard.

"Now!" barked Snape and Bella scampered after him. She turned over her shoulder to look pleading at the cupboard, knowing that she was well and truly in trouble now.

She followed anxiously behind Snape as he walked quickly through the corridors, leading her in the direction of Gryffindor Tower. He hadn't uttered a word to her since their dramatic departure from the staff room and Bella was filled with dread with what was coming. She climbed the last set of stairs leading to Gryffindor Tower and nearly collided with Snape as he stopped abruptly a few paces from the portrait of the Fat Lady.

"Why is it - that any time there's trouble - you are always around?" asked Snape in frustration.

"I - I don't know what you mean, Professor." replied Bella.

"Do not leave your common room." he huffed. "Or there will be consequences."

He spoke quietly to the Fat Lady and Bella felt relief wash over her as the portrait opened and she could hear the murmurs from within. Snape watched as Bella walked quickly through the portrait hole and she turned over her shoulder, catching his eye just as the portrait closed behind her.

Bella walked the few paces between the portrait hole and the entrance of the common room and all eyes turned to her when she appeared in the doorway.

"What's going on, sis?" asked Fred, walking across the common room to get to her.

She wrapped her arms around his middle, burying her face in his stomach. He immediately wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly in his arms.

"What's wrong?" asked George, appearing beside them with Lee Jordan at his back.

Bella began to shake in Fred's arms and he could feel her tears soaking his jumper.

"Come on." said Fred softly, ushering Bella up the stairs to their dorm.

He sat down on his bed with Bella still clinging to his side and George sat down on Bella's other side.

"Are you going to tell us what's wrong?" asked George, nudging her shoulder playfully in an attempt to cheer her up.

Bella explained everything from finding out about the Basilisk to Snape finding her in the staff room.

"I was just so scared." Bella sniffled, wiping stray tears from her cheeks. "I've never seen him look so furious before."

"You could definitely out-scare him." joked Lee. "I've seen you when you're angry."

Bella giggled, her brothers and their friend happy she was no longer crying.

"Are you feeling better?" asked Fred.

"Yeah." replied Bella.

"Do you know why we're all here?" She asked.

"Nope. We've no idea." said George.

"Have you guys seen Ginny?" said Bella. "I haven't seen her all day."

The three boys shook their heads in response.

"I'm going to go check her dorm." Bella stood from her place on Fred's bed and they followed after her and she took the steps down to the common room then back up the other staircase to the girls dorms. Ginny wasn't in her room and her friends told Bella they hadn't seen her all day.

"Where could she be?" asked Bella exasperatedly.

"I'm sure she can't be far." George assured.

"But we're all locked in here." Bella's eyes widened in shock and her jaw dropped open. "You don't think." She whispered.

"Think what?" Fred asked.

"She's been attacked by the Basilisk?" Bella asked in a quiet voice. "That's why we're all here?"

"Surely not." said Lee. "Ginny's Pureblood."

"So why isn't she here?" asked Bella, louder this time.

"I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for it." replied Fred.

Even with the boys assurances, Bella couldn't help but worry. With no way to find Ginny, she sat in the common room watching Fred, George and Lee testing their new prank products. Usually she would be up for testing their products but with Ginny missing and merlin knew what going on with Ron and the others, Bella's head was miles away. Bella was torn from her thoughts when Professor McGonagall appeared in the door frame looking disheveled. She was breathing heavily, as if she'd run up the stairs and her normally perfect bun was sitting at an odd angle.

"Weasley's." She breathed, beckoning them towards her. The three of them shared a look, pushing out of their seats and crossing the common room to stand in front of her, Percy appearing at their back. "Come with me."

McGonagall turned and walked the few paces to the portrait, pushing it open and holding it ajar for the siblings.

"Professor." said Percy quite anxiously. "What's going on."

"Your mother and father are in Professor Dumbledore's office right now." She said softly.

"But why?" asked George.

"I'm afraid something terrible happened. Your sister was taken into the chamber by the monster." said McGonagall solemnly.

Bella's blood ran cold and she stumbled over her feet, her body going into shock. The last thing she remembered was Fred's panicked face hovering over her before the world went black.
