Bella's eyes snapped open from her feeble attempt at sleep when she heard multiple muttering voices swirling around the Hospital Wing.

"Bella! You're alright!" beamed Ron. Bella turned her head slowly to see the entire Quidditch team, along with Ron and Hermione, surrounding both the bed Bella occupied and the bed beside her. She turned her head even further and saw Harry laying still, looking a little worse for wear.

"What happened?" asked Bella, pushing herself up with a groan of pain and clutching her forehead.

"The Dementors came to the Quidditch Pitch, Dumbledore was furious - what happened to you?" said Hermione.

"Stomach ulcer and narrow blood vessels in my brain, no biggie." said Bella calmly.

"Are you going to be okay?" asked Fred, perching on the edge of Bella's bed.

"I'll be fine - what happened to Harry? Will he be okay?" she asked.

"He fell off his broom. He'll be okay, Madam Pomfrey will have him fixed in no time, just like always." smiled George.

At that moment, Harry shot upright in bed, gasping loudly.

"What happened?" said Harry, looking around frantically.

"You fell - maybe about fifty feet?" said Fred.

"We thought you had died." said Alicia Spinnet, Gryffindor Chaser.

Hermione sniffed, burying her head in Ron's neck. Ron looked towards Bella with an expression of horror as he slowly patted Hermione's shoulder.

"But - what about the match? What happened?"

No one said anything. They all looked to Harry with solemn faces and Harry's dropped.

"We didn't - lose?"

"Diggory caught the snitch just after you fell." said Angelina Johnston, another Chaser for Gryffindor.

"He didn't realise what had happened. After he saw you on the ground he demanded a re-match, but they won fair and square." said Fred.

"Even Wood admits it." added George.

"Where is Oliver?" asked Harry.

"Still in the showers, we reckon he's trying to drown himself." said Fred.

"What about Cedric? Is he okay?" asked Bella.

"He's fine. Angry that we weren't awarded a re-match, but he's okay." said Freya.

Fred and George were trying their hardest to make Harry feel better about Gryffindor's loss but it didn't look to be working. Harry had his face in his knees, his hands pulling tightly on his hair. A few moments later and Madam Pomfrey bustled around her two patients, ushering the Gryffindor team from the Hospital Wing.

"We'll come and see you both later." said Fred.

"And don't worry Harry," added George, "you're the best Seeker we've ever had."

The doors of the Hospital Wing closed behind the team and Ron, Hermione, Freya and Emily sat between the two beds with worried looks on their faces.

"Harry, I -" Hermione faltered, looking to Ron for help.

"What is it?" asked Harry.

"Well - you know, it'd be better if we just show you." said Ron.

With a grimace, Hermione reached for the bag at her feet and tipped it upside down on Harry's bed, bits and pieces of splintered wood tumbling onto the sheets.

"Oh Harry." said Bella softly.

Anyone could see the hurt on Harry's face when he saw the remains of his trusty broom stick.

"Wh-What happened?" he asked.

"It flew into the Whomping Willow." said Emily sadly.

"There was nothing we could do." added Freya.

Harry sighed. Hermione helped him bundle the remains of his broom into the bag and placed them on the floor beside Harry's bed. Madam Pomfrey swept over to them the next moment, pushing different vials into their hands and watching with a stern expression as they downed them reluctantly.

"I ask that you stay in the Hospital Wing over the weekend where I can keep an eye on you Mr Potter, you too, Miss Weasley." said Madam Pomfrey.

"But -" said Bella.

"No buts." said Madam Pomfrey sharply.

Bella sighed and dropped back against her pillow. Her eyes widened and her stomach as she came to the realisation that Draco promised he would come and see her later that night. Bella motioned for Freya to join her at the top of her bed and shuffled over for her to sit down.

"Do you have any parchment? and a quill?" she whispered when Freya sat down.

Freya reached into the pocket of her robes and handed Bella a small piece of parchment and a quill.

"Thank you." whispered Bella.

She wrote discreetly on the parchment while Ron, Hermione and Emily told Harry what had happened with the Dementors.

"Can you make sure Draco gets this?" said Bella quietly, pushing the folded sheet into her hand.

"But -"

"Please." said Bella, a pleading look in her eyes.

Freya nodded and slipped the parchment back into her pocket.

"I hope you know what you're doing." Freya commented as she linked her arm with Bella's.

"Me too." replied Bella.

"You never actually told us how you ended up here." said Ron, turning his attention on Bella.

"I - well it's Seamus. He's been cheating on me with Lavender." said Bella.

"He's WHAT?!" roared Ron. He jumped up from the edge of Harry's bed and Hermione grabbed his arm, pulling his towards her so he couldn't run off.

"Ron, calm down." said Hermione.

Bella rubbed at her forehead with a groan, Freya wrapped her arm around her shoulders and rubbed her arm comfortingly.

"I'm just glad it's over if I'm honest." said Bella.

"I'm gonna kill him." growled Ron.

"Lavender's such a little tart." said Emily.

"You're worth ten of her, Bella, remember that." said Freya, pulling her towards her for a hug.

"I just want to focus on getting better. They're not worth it." said Bella. "Do not go getting yourself into trouble over them, Ronald Weasley." she added.

Ron had just calmed down when Madam Pomfrey announced it was time for dinner and therefore they had to leave.

"I'll keep an eye on him, and I'll make sure Malfoy gets that note." said Freya quietly as she hugged Bella tightly.

"Thank you." she replied.

"Are you okay? Really okay?" Harry asked when it was just the two of them.

"I'll admit, it hurt to find out that's what had been going on but it's a relief that it's over now." said Bella.

"You know you'll always have me, right?" said Harry.

"Stuck with you forever, might take my chances elsewhere." As Harry turned to Bella with an expression of shock she roared with laughter.

"I'm kidding!" she replied. "You'll always have me too, Harry."
