Super Gore Nest by Mick Gordon

The Slayer ripped the jaw out of a nearby demon, stabbing into the eyes of another demon with it as they all screamed in pain. He propelled himself through the horde of demons, decapitating demons left and right as he passed through them like a harsh breeze. Dozens upon dozens of demons leapt into the fray, hoping to get a bite out of the Hellwalker but were blown to smithereens by the warrior's strength. An unfortunate demon approached the slayer from behind only to have it's head smashed in with enough force to send the skull out the lower half of the body.

The Doom Slayer threw his meathook through the torso of a demon, grabbing a hold of his chain as he swung the tool in a large sweeping motion. The force of his swing was strong enough to cut through the demons like a sickle in a field of grass. His position was compromised as more demons advanced towards him. As a result: the Slayer performed several backward handsprings to gain some distance before breaking into a violent whipping motion that obliterated the approaching demons.

The Lower Moons were far away from the action, watching the massacre unfold before them. Their jaws were slightly dropped but it was about time they stepped in as the fodder demons weren't up to par. Lower Moons 3 and 6 were the first to charge in while the rest remained back. Lower Moon 1, Enmu, formed a sickly smile upon seeing his comrades be slaughtered one by one and each of them screaming for help. He took pleasure in other people's suffering.

The Hellwalker was simply far too fast for the demons to keep up with. Even with the physical boost demons are given upon their transformation: it paled in comparison to the warrior of legend. The Slayer's strikes are without mercy, to say he hits with the force of a tidal wave would be a SEVERE understatement. It wasn't even possible to compare as their bodies were too fragile to tank the hits of the Hellwalker. Even if every demon there was able to merge into one all-powerful being, they would still be no match for the Hellwalker.

They wanted to run away, all of them, but they were smart enough to understand they couldn't so they chose to fight to the very end. The Slayer proceeded to ram his blade through several demons as if making a shish-kebab. With one powerful swing with his arm blade, the demons skewered by his Nichirin Blade were sliced in half. His instincts alerted him to an incoming demon coming from behind. There, he saw Lower Moon 3, Wakuraba, approaching very quickly. However, his appearance was partially opaque and distorted as if it was constantly shifting. The Slayer went for an immediate decapitation but was surprised to see his blade pass through as if the demon wasn't there.

Wakuraba was uncomfortably close to the Slayer as he reached his hand out but the Hellwalker was much quicker and miraculously blew off the demon's head with his other arm. This intrigued him as his blade passed through but he was able to make contact with his fist. It's not a problem but something for him to keep his eyes peeled for. He got back to work at dispatching the other demons and thinning out their numbers. He noticed the area was being consumed by a green gas that was making the other demons cough out blood. However, this didn't stop them.

Lower Moon 6, Kamanue, was blowing out a great deal of toxic gas from his mouth. It's his ability but he's never created this much poisonous gas to cover such a large area before. He was straining himself by pushing his ability this far but he needed to because this was the Hellwalker they were fighting. Unfortunately for him, the warrior was quickly approaching. This made Kamanue panic as he just witnessed his superior be swatted aside so he has no delusions of handling the Slayer in a physical altercation.

Kamanue prepared an attack to get away from the Slayer, "Blood Demon Art: Toxic Mist," as a humongous amount of gas burst from the demon's mouth and obscured his position inside of a thick fog. The Slayer cut through the fog, quickly dissipating it only to find the demon had disappeared. A large shadow loomed over the area, causing the Slayer to look behind him to see a large beast rising behind him. It appeared to be some sort of strange elemental abomination that consisted of wood, dirt, and various bits of wildlife.

The creature brought his fist down upon the Slayer, hoping to crush him underneath its fist. Unfortunately for the beast, the warrior stopped the attack. The Slayer got a grip on the creature's fist and swung in circles, smashing all demons that dare approach the spinning saw blade that was the Hellwalker. Once he gathered enough momentum: the warrior hurled the abomination far away and flattened anything that was unfortunate enough to be under it.

Lower Rank 1, Enmu, and Lower Rank 2, Rokuro, were still in the back, watching the battle unfold. Enmu turned towards his comrade, suggesting, "You should probably make something bigger. I don't think those smaller ones are quite up to the task." Rokuro was offended by that statement, as that was an elemental creature taller than most buildings they'd find in Japan and that was small? Rokuro commented:

"You call that small? That was my biggest one!"

"Master Muzan's expecting results, start making some. It's do or die at this point." Rokuro grit his teeth in frustration. Fine, challenge accepted. He channeled his power into the floor to gather as much wildlife energy as he could to create an even more powerful creature to stop the Slayer. However, there was a problem:

"I can probably make something much bigger, but I'll need some time. Think you can cover me?" Enmu didn't respond, smiling as he was simply aroused by the amount of bloodshed happening on the battlefield.

The Doom Slayer slaughtered the demons that entered his sight. During the frenzy, several demons were thrown towards him like ragdolls. He wasn't concerned until he noticed their bodies suddenly inflate before exploding at point blank. The explosions didn't hurt him but it obscured his vision, causing his senses to go on high alert. He had to react quickly as the demons emerged from the smoke.

As he was warding off the demons, he noticed Wakuraba closing in once more. The Slayer decided to leap back and study the demon's technique as he had no idea how it worked. He was able to tell that there were random moments where the demon's opacity flickered from translucent to not. It was an inconsistent pattern but it was something he noticed. Feeling prepared, the Slayer charged towards the demon and swung his fist at the moment he predicted the demon's body to become normal again. However, he barely missed the mark as his fist passed right through the demon. Fortunately, he's got a good reading on the timing now. His next attempt won't miss.

The ground underneath Rokuro began to rise as he elevated to new heights. The foundation he sat atop of became the head of the creature he was conjuring up. He poured an extra amount of energy into his creation as it reached heights he'd never seen before. It strained his abilities but he needed to because this was the Hellwalker they were dealing with. The creature grew so tall it made everyone else on the battlefield seem like little bugs in comparison. This caught the attention of the Hellwalker who took notice of Rokuro sitting on top.

The Doom Slayer got to work as he latched his meat hook onto the arm of the elemental beast and climbed the body. It tried grabbing ahold of the Slayer but he was already at the creature's throat. That's where his plan came to fruition as he hopped off the elemental. He used the meat hook that was still attached to the arm to swing around and build enough momentum to catapult the Slayer above the creature. He was significantly higher than the elemental now, having a good view of the entire battlefield.

He noticed Enmu next to Rokuro on the creature's head. It didn't matter, that means he can kill two birds with one stone. The Slayer tried to use his breathing technique in the hopes he could channel his energy but produced nothing. It's fine, he still has everything he needs to get the job done. However, as he came closer to where the demons were, Enmu raised his arm to reveal a mouth on the outside of his hand. He pointed that mouth towards the Slayer and a blast of blue energy shot out its mouth as it opened up. The blast hit the Slayer and dealt no damage, however, it made the Slayer fall asleep mid-air and lose control of his descent. Enmu smiled as he witnessed the Slayer enter a deep slumber.

The Slayer couldn't see nor could he hear a sound. He was swallowed in complete darkness until he heard the cries of a girl call out, "Daddy! Daddy! Pass the ball, daddy!" He blinked and he was in a different environment. He found himself inside of a beautiful garden where the skies were blue and the sun was bright. He looked around to find himself next to a white house and in front of him, a small girl with familiar brown hair and eyes with an cheerful expression.

"What's wrong, Flynn? You seem a little spaced out." Flynn looked to notice his beautiful wife, Vanessa Taggart, watching from the porch. She was a slender woman with wavy, dark hair and eyes. He was mesmerized by her beauty. After all, she was his wife. He responded:

"Yeah, sorry, I was daydreaming." His daughter, Daisy, pouted, demanding that the ball be passed over so they could keep on playing. He was quick to do so, entranced by the environment he found himself in. The grass he sat on was so smooth he could lay on it without feeling uncomfortable. He just wanted to relax, allowing the warm rays of the sun to consume him. However, he was a busy man and there was no time for such luxury. He got lost in his thoughts once more and accidentally tossed the ball too far as it passed his daughter. Daisy complained:

"You threw it too hard, dad!" before chasing after the ball while giggling to herself. She was enjoying the time she spent with her father. He was never really home much with how busy his work made him. As a matter of fact, he was getting ready to leave in a little bit because of a mission he was assigned. He chose to spend his last few minutes of being at home to play with his only daughter. Vanessa got next to her husband and asked:

"I hope you're not worried."

Flynn hesitantly responded, "Kind of, but I'm sure everything will be alright,." Vanessa gave her husband a warm smile as she explained to him:

"You know, Daisy's been worried about you more than anything else. She even got you a secret present to cheer you up."

"A secret present, huh? Let's see it."

"Now now, Daisy wants to be the one to give it to you so be patient." Their daughter returned with the ball and they continued back and forth with the toy until the time was up. Daisy ran into the house to grab the present while Flynn and his wife stood next to his car. She ran out with a bunny in her arms and a giddy smile on her face. She went up to her father, handing out the small bunny which lifted its head up upon feeling the warm sunlight.

Flynn was surprised to see the small, brown rabbit. It was precious to look at, the tiny creature could fit within his hands. Daisy proceeded to tell him, "I know you're lonely when you go away dad, so I wanted to give you a pet bunny so that you have someone there for you! Her name is Daisy! See? She has the same name as me! That way, you won't forget about us while you're away!" The father was speechless, cupping the gentle creature between his hands as it looked into his eyes. It was like holding onto his daughter when she was born. Yes, a rabbit named Daisy so he has something to remember his family by. A present from his daughter he will always cherish, there was no way he can deny her offer when she offers it with such a sweet face. He loved her and his wife more than anything in the world, he doesn't know what he would do without them.

The Slayer's eyes shot open just as he was about to hit the floor, barely sticking the landing with the time he had left. Enmu and the other demons were surprised to see the Hellwalker had already woken up from his slumber. However, the Doom Slayer was more unamused than they were. He was starting to remember his past more than ever, but there was no time to ponder his memories.

UAC Atlantica by David Levy

The Slayer sprung to his feet and charged towards the army of demons, cutting their heads off one by one. He slid towards a group of demons, spinning to sweep them off their feet before decapitating them in one motion. He proceeded to round up a group of demons into a position, moving so fast he could practically slide on the grass. Once he gathered a group, he wrapped his chain around their necks and removed their heads with a powerful yank from his chain. All the demons were able to see was a flash of green as the Hellwalker passed by them. He was relentless in his pursuit as they were each tracked down and killed by the Slayer.

Lower Moon 4, Mukago, was in his sights as he chased her down. She squealed in a panic and ran her claws through the floor as she fled from the Slayer. As he passed over the area she clawed, the floor underneath him exploded which was enough to halt his advance. He noticed the elemental beast go in for a wide swing to hit the Slayer which gave him an idea. The gargantuan fist passed above him as he ducked under the attack, giving him the chance to hook onto the arm. It launched him forward as he was dragged along but he managed to land on a demon before hitting the floor. He used the demon as a surfboard while he glided along, causing the poor demon to grind against the dirt and tear away its skin. As this was happening, he slashed away at any demon that was within his reach.

The elemental stopped moving, causing the Slayer to fling forward. The warrior used the hook to pull himself towards the arm before steering into elemental's chest. He carried enough force to ram through the creature, bursting through its back. A demon was unfortunate enough to be under the Slayer when he landed. Wakuraba was coming in for another sneak attack but the Slayer was prepared this time. The warrior swung when the time was right and he felt the blade cut through the demon's neck.

He went from one demon to the next like a wild animal, reminding the demons of a lion jumping on its prey. Enmu attempted to sneak up behind the Slayer but the warrior was not foolish. He went for the immediate counter attack but was met with the mouth-hand in his face. It emitted the same energy which put him to sleep like last time, making him fall back as he lost consciousness .

Flynn was on a deployment, very far from home. He was currently in his quarters, caressing Daisy on his lap as he waited for his next mission assignment. Daisy had been a humongous stress-reliever for Flynn whenever he went on deployments. Laying back and caressing the creature reminded him of when he did the same with his daughter. His roommate suddenly barged in, a scrawny man with short hair similar to his own called out, "Flint, you got an urgent phone call! Come with me." Flynn put aside his initial annoyance of the nickname and got up to follow his squadmate, Daisy still in his arms.

He followed his friend to the phone where he answered, "Hello? Who's this?" The person on the other side, a man whose voice never heard before, asked for confirmation if this was Flynn Taggart speaking. He confirmed, and to this, the person on the other side spoke:

"Mister Taggart, we have some unfortunate news for you. Your family had just recently gotten into a car accident. They were rushed to the hospital but their injuries were fatal..." He kept talking but Flynn stopped listening. It was like his heart froze at that moment. His vision became blurry but no tears came up, he simply couldn't see. His mind and his heart ached immensely as he fell back against the wall, dazed from what he just heard. The man on the phone kept repeating his name to assure he was still there, but there was no answer. Flynn couldn't believe it, his whole family was gone. He wasn't there to protect them as he should have. He failed his family and now they're dead.

His train of thought was interrupted by the sound of Daisy's concerned squeeks. He stared back at the rabbit. Daisy, she was all that he had left. Daisy was the only remnant of his daughter, his last, tangible connection to his deceased family. Once that reality sunk it, the tears spilled from his eyes as he embraced the rabbit. He promised himself he won't lose Daisy like the rest of his family, he had to make sure Daisy survived no matter what.

And yet… he failed to do that too. Once he managed to stop the demons on Mars some time later, they made their way to Earth, to Daisy. When he arrived, he was already too late. He was greeted to the sight of his home, destroyed with nothing left behind. He desperately searched for his precious rabbit and when he found her, he was greeted to the sight of her multilated corpse strewn across the street. He had nothing left, no family, no home. He collapsed to his knees, taking in the sight of his destroyed home. The life he once knew was over, now replaced with constant fighting.

His struggle on Mars was just a fight for survival. However, after losing his family, it became vengeance. He did have one thing left: his hate, hate for the demons that have wronged him. Hate for everything that has gone wrong in his life. Hate for himself because he was too weak to save them all. Flynn growled immensely as he exclaimed, "Rip… and Tear… the demons… I must kill them all…!" With that, Doomguy was born and his internal flame grew stronger, a flame that burns those who dare approach him.

The Slayer regained consciousness just as he was about to hit the floor, catching himself with his hands and springing back to his feet. Enmu couldn't believe that the Slayer woke up even faster than last time, perhaps he was getting accustomed to the ability and developing an immunity to it. This is troublesome, indeed. All the nearby demons began to climb on top of the Slayer, dogpiling him in an attempt to weigh him down.

The warrior remained stationary. The rage he felt when his family died was fresh in his mind once more and it only intensified by the second. The Slayer trembled, not from fear, but from his boundless fury. These demons have made a big mistake by magnifying his hatred. The Slayer's growls crescendo as he slowly raises himself while lifting the pile on his back. He whipped his head back in an explosive movement that blew the demons off his back.

He locked eyes with the Enmu, his gaze more ferocious than ever as his presence intimidated the demon. Enmu's entire body told him to run away and so he did with the Hellwalker hot in pursuit. The Slayer gripped the demon's neck tightly upon reaching him, blasting the demon's head off with a ferocious punch. He swung the headless body of the demon at an approaching group of fodder. The expression on the Slayer's face conveyed nothing but pure hate for the demons, he was being consumed by his overwhelming rage. He leapt towards the bunch, hacking and slashing his way through the hordes of hell he so despised.

The Slayer began to act more like a wild animal, attacking anything that remotely moved. He wasn't focusing anymore, his rage was only blinding him as he jumped on the first thing that moved. He didn't even process what he was doing anymore. His actions meshed into a never ending series of violence. His vision unfocused and his mind was clouded. In the back of his head, he heard a voice constantly calling out to him. However, he couldn't distinguish who it was until finally they cried out loud enough for him to hear:

"Flynn!"

It was Vanessa, hearing her voice instantly soothed him and his mind ventured back to a repressed memory he had long since forgotten. He was sitting on the porch next to his wife. The two of them watching their daughter play with Daisy in the garden. It was a very relaxing moment but Flynn was stressed out because of his duties. Vanessa continued, "Flynn, you're worrying too much."

Flynn interjected, telling his wife, "Why don't I just leave the army and settle down with you and Daisy?" Vannessa's beautiful expression shifted to that of concern as she explained:

"Flynn, that's just not you, it's not who you are."

"But I'm tired of always leaving you and Daisy behind." Flynn cried out, getting a massive headache.

"Flynn, you're a soldier, the kindest one I've ever met. It's not like you to just throw away your duties like that. Ever since I've known you, you've been a kind and compassionate person. Always looking out for his fellow man and protecting others any way he can. It's just who you are. You can't tell me you'll suddenly be comfortable with abandoning everything like this. It's in your nature to protect everyone, it's your duty." Flynn let out a sigh, hunching over as he pinched his nose from the stress. Vanessa scooched closer to her husband, caressing his back as she tells him:

"Flynn, I want you to make me a promise, okay? No matter what: never give up who you are, even in the most difficult times. It's because of who you are that I fell in love with you in the first place. You've always protected people since day one, and I want you to keep it that way. When you get back, Daisy and I will always be here, waiting for you. We want to hear all of your stories, all the people you've impacted and helped, we want to hear it all because we're here for you." Flashes of everyone that the Slayer had ever met appeared in his mind. He saw Urokodaki, Inosuke, Nezuko, Vanessa, Daisy, and even Tanjiro. His wife's last words echoed in his mind: "That's a promise, okay?"

Enough by Disturbed

Those were the words he desperately needed to hear. Casting aside the doubt within his mind, the Slayer embraced who he once was. Yes, he's always fought in service of others since the beginning. He had allowed his rage to blind him for far too long that he neglected his true purpose, but no more. The Hellwalker felt as if a massive weight had been lifted from his consciousness and he could feel the adrenaline course through his body. He took a deep, concentrated breath to channel the spiritual energy in his body. He knew his calling, he understood his nature and it was time to unleash it as he proclaimed his attack, "Blood Breathing, First Form: Blood Spike".

A stream of blood burst from his Nichirin Arm Blade, trailing his movements as he decapitated a demon. Instead of burning up, the demon's body inflated like a balloon before exploding into an array of blood needles. The needles shot in every direction, piercing all those unfortunate enough to be caught in the blast radius. He decapitated one demon after the next in a continuous motion. His movements were as elegant and fluid as a river stream, shifting from one movement to the next without delay.

Blood is thicker than water and difficult to see through, an apt description for how the Slayer sees himself. The energy flowing through his body was unlike anything he's felt before as he unleashed his Blood Breathing. It felt right, this technique suited him well as it was an extension of who he was. It was a triumphant feeling knowing he's mastered the ability to utilize the breathing techniques. And now, he has an entire playground to test his new powers on.

Each demon that was decapitated by the Slayer exploded into the blood needles. It was absolute chaos as the demon's bodies were mutilated by the needles that pierced them from all directions. The elemental that Rokuro controlled threw a heavy punch towards the Slayer. The warrior whipped around and cleaved the arm in half, hooking onto the torso of the creature to spring himself upwards. The blood surging from his arm blade formed into an even longer weapon as he sliced through the neck of the beast and decapitated Rokuro in the process.

The Slayer rolled forward as he hit the floor, bouncing back on his feet as he mixed in chain whips and sword slices together. Nothing could stop him as he drilled through the masses, several demons at a time. No amount of fighting back would save the remaining lower moons from their demise as the Slayer chased them down. They were beheaded and brutalized by the Hellwalker as he gave them no moment to breathe. He would cut through an entire row of demons and create a series of consecutive blood needle explosions as a result. His extended blade would plow through a thick crowd of demons as if he was using his trusty destroyer blade. The repeated twirling of the Slayer created a spinning saw that spelled death for those beheaded by his blade. The once bold demon army was on the retreat from the Hellwalker. It was every man for himself as the demons shoved each other aside for the sake of their own survival. This only made things infinitely easier for the Slayer as he picked them off, refusing to let any one of them get away. He intended to kill them all, and so he did. It didn't take long for the Slayer to slaughter the army of demons that was present. Not a single demon was left unharmed, the blood needles caused more of a mess than he anticipated.

Unfortunately, he got too caught-up in the moment as he began losing restraint and swinging his blade heavier than necessary. He swung his blade at full force towards a demon and as soon as the blade passed through the demon's neck, the blade snapped in half as it fell to the floor. The Slayer watched the demon crumbled to dust in front of him before turning his attention back to his broken Nichirin Blade. He crouched down to pick it up and audibly groaned at the sight of his broken blade. Oh how he missed his old doom blade. Back when he wasn't punished for using his full strength and could rip and tear at maximum capacity. The Slayer's going to have to arrange to get a new one after this mess. He annoyingly tossed the blade towards the floor, irritated at the incompetence of this world's resources.

The warrior stood up to inspect the destruction he had left on the battlefield. The fields the Slayer fought in were now painted with the blood of the demons he slaughtered. His armor was no longer green, instead, coated with the color of his enemy's insides. He went to wipe away the blood smeared on his visor as he took in the carnage he had just inflicted upon the demons. His mind was at peace now because a burden he had carried for so long finally lifted and a new resolve had taken its place. It felt good. Unfortunately, the Slayer wasn't given a chance to enjoy his victory for long as a new presence emerged on the battlefield.

Something landed behind him, causing the ground to tremble lightly. The Slayer turned around and was met face to face with Upper Moon 3 standing before him. The demon was crouching and had a very sheepish smile plastered on his face. He stood up and began to speak, "So, you're the legendary Hellwalker I've heard so much about. You know, it's a real honor to meet a legend such as you. I was watching that entire battle and to say I'm impressed would be an understatement. I was hoping you would get rid of all those weaklings so we can chat right now. I wouldn't want anyone else to get in our way." The demon broke into a fighting stance as a mystical snowflake pattern on the floor surrounded him. "My name is Akaza, it's a pleasure to meet you, Hellwalker. However, I'm not here to be friends with you. I'm here to kill you."
