Opening: Inferno by 9mm Parabellum Bullet

The leader of the Demon Slayer Corps resided within his peaceful mansion, undisturbed in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, that peace wouldn't last for long as a Kasugai Crow rushed towards the master in a hurry. The crow was panic-stricken and looked as if it had just narrowly avoided death. The crow spoke very quickly as the adrenaline was still flowing through the small creature, "There is a humongous monster wreaking havoc across Japan! Casualties are high and entire villages are wiped! Many of our demon slayers that have encountered the creature have already been taken out!"

Kaguya raised his brows in shock, if a creature was able to wipe out entire villages, this was easily a Muzan-level threat. Kaguya carefully instructed the crow while putting aside his slowly rising panic, "Inform all the others, we need every available demon slayer to take care of this threat immediately before it does any more damage!" The crow took off to follow its orders while Kaguya got to work alerting the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps.

The Slayer had finished tinkering his makeshift Super Shotgun to improve the meathook. As he did so, outside of Sagetsu's shed, the warrior's Kasugai Vulture quickly approached and perched itself on the warrior's arm as it relayed the news to the Doom Slayer. This had to be it, it looked like the Dark Lord was finally making his move against the Hellwalker. None of Muzan's demons matched the vague description given by the Vulture. This is really bad, nothing in this world could possibly stand a chance against the demons of hell. There was no time to discuss or theorize, he had to get moving before it was too late.

The Super Doom Hunter scoured the lands of Japan in search of the Doom Slayer. The humongous demon made every other creature seem tiny in comparison to it and no building could match the height of the Super Doom Hunter. The hoverpad the Agaddon Hunter was attached to emitted scorching flames from underneath the machine, setting fire to everything it passed under. It didn't take long for nearby forests to start burning, covering the sky in a blanket of smoke that blocked out the moon. The creature had not moved a single muscle since entering through the portal yet it managed to slaughter hundreds of people with it's machinergy alone. Occasionally, some maggot would come along to try and fight the Super Doom Hunter but their pathetic little blades could not penetrate the Doom Hunter's defenses.

There were several cameras installed into the Super Doom Hunter through which the Dark Lord witnessed its carnage firsthand. Davoth was accompanied by the Marauder and a team of scientists who were maintaining the creature's systems. They were inside of a control room in one of Immora's numerous research facilities with a wall covered in multiple screens displaying different sides of the Doom Hunter. The Marauder stood at attention next to his master who remained still with his arms crossed, eyes glued to the screen. One of the scientists, who's hands were flying across the keyboard to input certain commands turned to the Dark Lord as he informed, "My lord, we have yet to find the Doom Slayer's location, we'll continue our search."

The Dark Lord spoke up, "Burn this land to the ground if you have to, leave nothing left. One way or another, we will find the Doom Slayer." The scientists did as told and continued with their search as they redirected their attention back to the Super Doom Hunter's screens.

It was approaching another village and all of the civilians there fled for their life at the sight of the gargantuan beast. The beast raised one of its arms carrying a large cannon and pointed it towards the village. With a simple squeeze of the trigger, the large weapon unleashed an enormous blast of energy that spanned a large section of the village, incinerating everything it passed through. The creature managed to disintegrate most of the villagers with that blast while some that were outside the blast radius narrowly escaped with their lives. With its path clear, the Super Doom Hunter proceeded forward until it noticed a Meathook digging into the remains of the buildings it destroyed. The cameras built into the creature moved to follow the source of the meathook until they found the Doom Slayer swinging into action as the warrior performed a brief twirl in the air with his doom blade extended before the warrior stated his attack, "Blood Breathing: Second Form, Flash Blood." and slashed at the Super Doom Hunter.

The Doom Blade couldn't hit the Doom Hunter as it made contact with a protective energy shield that enveloped the Super Doom Hunter. It was standard for Doom Hunters to have an energy shield of sorts but those shields fell before the might of the Doom Slayer. However, this one was different, this shield reflected the Slayer's attack and blew the warrior away. The Warrior stabilized himself mid-air and slid against the ground while on his feet. The Super Doom Hunter focused on the Doom Slayer as it turned its entire body to face the Hellwalker. With its target now in-sight, the demon raised all of its weapons in anticipation to kill the Doom Slayer.

Doom Hunter by Mick Gordon

Several dozen missiles emerged from the hoverpad of the Super Doom hunter, rocketing into the sky as they began redirecting themselves towards the Doom Slayer. The warrior turned away from the village and began bolting across the landscapes as the missiles crashed in the ground behind him and exploded with enough force to shake the ground slightly. This did not stop the warrior as he blazed across the burning landscapes caused by the Super Doom Hunter. Despite it being in the middle of the night, the flames made everything as bright as day. The Creature raised it's arm cannon again and pointed it in front of the warrior to intercept him before firing another energy blast.

The Hellwalker spun around and pointed his makeshift shotgun towards the floor behind him and fired the meathook, yanking on the chain to propel himself away from the incoming energy attack. The warrior needed to get in close and start dealing some damage, so he began advancing on the Doom Hunter's position. The creature revved up its two chainsaw blades and swung at the Doom Slayer. The warrior used the Praetor Suit's thrusters to dash out of the way of each incoming blade that slammed into the ground where he was. Every attack the Super Doom Hunter made had enough force to rattle the ground. The warrior leapted towards the creature now that it's guard was down and fired his Shotgun directly towards the demon. The Nichirin bullets were useless, just as expected. The warrior struck with his Doom Blade once more but he was blown away like last time. This was going to be difficult without his arsenal. He would normally blow the shield away with his strength but this would require more strategy. The shields were normally susceptible to energy-based weapons such as his plasma rifle but that wasn't an option at the moment. It also didn't help that the creature's shield was abnormally stronger than usual. No doubt that the Dark Lord had a hand in this, this had to be a new model.

The scientists controlling the Doom hunter reported to their master, "Shields are working as planned, the Slayer's attacks aren't getting through, my lord." The Dark Lord didn't seem impressed, focusing on the screen as the Doom Hunter continued to attack the warrior but missed every time. The Slayer was simply far too nimble for the Doom Hunter, not surprising considering who they were dealing with but they needed to think outside the box. The Dark Lord announced to his loyal followers:

"Ignore the Doom Slayer for now, focus on the survivors."

The scientists were baffled upon hearing this order and questioned, "My lord?"

"We need to draw him towards our attacks. Finish off the survivors." The scientists caught onto their master's plan and began inputting the commands into the Super Doom Hunter.

The Doom Hunter veered towards the villagers who were still fleeing the scene. They couldn't escape the creature's view as it began zooming in its sights and firing its arm cannon towards the lot. The Slayer redirected his attention and followed the energy beam and realized what it was targeting but it was too late as the majority of the survivors were killed. His wife's words rang loudly in his ear, he made a promise to her that he couldn't break. The warrior made a full sprint towards the handful of survivors that remained, activating his thrusters to give himself a boost of speed. The Doom Hunter fired another energy blast accompanied by a volley of missiles that approached the survivors.

The warrior tackled a person out of the way, injuring them in the process but it was better than them getting killed by the energy blast that passed behind him. He noticed the approaching missiles and grabbed another person before jumping away from the explosions. The Slayer waited for the opportune moment to toss the two survivors away from danger as they avoided another incoming missile. He threw them as far as he could as he watched their bodies skid across the ground and most likely scraped their skin. If they knew any better, they would start hauling ass now while they have a chance.

The Slayer noticed several members of the demon slayer corps charge in before stopping to see the carnage that was done. They were struck with fear upon seeing the Super Doom Hunter and couldn't move. Blasted idiots, they need to get out of the way!

The Doom Hunter unleashed another set of missiles that quickly approached the lot of demon slayers. The warrior needed to act quickly as he quickly grabbed them and got out of the way. He couldn't save everyone, not like this. His normal solution would be to eliminate the threat but to do that would be to go against his wife's promise. He has to find a compromise, some way to save people and take care of the threat. At the rate he's going, the Doom Hunter is going to keep attacking people to distract the slayer and the warrior is well aware of that fact. Damn the dark lord, his maliciousness knows no bounds.

The Dark Lord watched through the cameras of the Super Doom Hunter and commented, "The Slayer's grown soft during his stay. How unexpected of the Scourge of Hell."

Nearby, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu approached the scene until they were able to see the Super Doom Hunter from far away. They also noticed the Hellwalker trying to save everyone he could as more demon slayers kept jumping into the fray without a second thought. Inosuke commented, "That thing is HUGE! I wonder how delicious it's meat is."

Zenitsu turned towards Tanjiro, frightened by the situation but he had to swallow his fear in order to get better. He asked the boy, "What's the plan, Tanjiro?"

Tanjiro observed the situation carefully as he watched the warrior try to save the demon slayers but every time he saved someone, another person got killed. Tanjiro commented, "We're going in."

The Doom Slayer cursed to himself as the number of demon slayers approaching the scene continuously increased, they wouldn't stop coming! It was as if the entire Demon Slayer Corps was summoned here. They were getting in his way, he can't focus on the Doom Hunter if he has to keep saving people that run towards their deaths.

Some demon slayers tried to use the debris of the destroyed village as cover but that was a foolish idea as they underestimated the scorching flames that surrounded them. The Slayer was so very close to ignoring all of these fools and focusing all of his attention on the Doom Hunter. He raced towards one of the demon slayers that was trapped in the fire and reached his hand out towards them. He thought he was too late as the kid seemingly vanished and the energy beam of the Doom Hunter passed by where the demon slayer was. The warrior had to do a double take until he realized Tanjiro was next to him. The boy didn't waste time with the formalities as he explained to the Slayer, "Don't worry about these guys, leave them to me! You just take care of that thing, alright?" The Hellwalker stared at Tanjiro, uncertain of the boy's abilities. Tanjiro picked up on this and firmly assured the slayer, "Trust me." The Slayer hesitantly nodded towards Tanjiro with the boy returning the gesture before quickly taking off with the demon slayer in his arms.

All around him, he can see Zenitsu and Inosuke doing the same thing and clearing the way for the Doom Slayer. This eased his consciousness as he no longer had to worry about the people around him and start ripping and tearing.

The Marauder pointed out to his master, "It appears the Slayer has made a few allies during his stay as well."

Davoth didn't take any interest in this fact as he dismissively said, "So it appears." The Dark Lord commanded his subordinates following this revelation, "Ignore the others, it's clear they intend to make things easier for the Slayer. There's no point in killing them off, for now. Redirect your attention towards the Doom Slayer." The scientists got to work at recalibrating the Doom Hunter's targeting systems.

A section of the demon's hoverpad opened up to reveal a set of chainguns that began firing at the Doom Slayer. The Warrior circled around the Doom Hunter to redirect it's attack away from the Demon Slayer Corps. The warrior wasn't going to try and attack the Doom Hunter directly as that has proved useless so far. One fatal mistake Deag Ranak made in his shotty design of the Doom Hunters was leaving the sled vulnerable. Granted, the Slayer never paid any attention to it because he would overwhelm the shields with his sheer strength but with the cards stacked against him, he's left with no other choice. The sled is what generates the shield that protects the Doom Hunter, take it out and the creature's defenses dwindle considerably.

It was his best shot at taking care of the Doom hunter before it was too late. The Slayer went on the offensive as he began to close the gap between him and the Doom Hunter. The demon extended its chainsaw blades in opposite directions and began to spin repeatedly with the help of the hoverpad. It didn't take long for the large creature to gain maximum velocity and its movements became a blur. The warrior leapt towards the Doom hunter without fear and he reacted quickly as one blade approached him and he managed to maneuver his body over the blade as it passed right underneath him. The second closed in right away with no time to spare. The Doom Slayer thrusted his body underneath the blade and positioned his foot on the humongous blade to propel himself down towards the sled within the brief window of time afforded to him. The Slayer slashed with all of his might and came very close to touching the surface of the sled but it appears the Dark Lord corrected the hell priest's mistake. The Slayer was blasted away from the Doom Hunter and would've rolled across the ground had he not dug his fingers into the ground to stop himself.

The Hellwalker assessed the situation and tried to figure out the best structural weak-point for the Doom Hunter. He was closer to hitting the demon that time compared to all of the rest. It's as if the upper section of the demon's shield is the most fortified while the lower half isn't in comparison. The warrior observed the sled and tried to figure out which section would be the best area to hit and speculated that the underbelly of the machine is unfortified. His reasoning being that if there were actually shields underneath the sled, the flames wouldn't be able to pass through and push off the ground to allow the demon to hover as it is. It's a long shot, but it's his best chance.

The Slayer sprung to his feet as he charged towards the Doom Hunter once more. The creature began to back up while unleashing all of its weaponry from its chainguns to its missiles. The Doom Hunter continuously fired its arm cannons like a wild animal. The Slayer danced around all of the incoming projectiles. He bounced, rolled, and dashed away from all of the attacks as the ground he passed was decimated by the explosions behind him. The warrior was getting close to the Doom Hunter and was able to see the ground underneath the sled melt into liquid goop. If given a chance, the Doom Hunter's sleds could probably melt its way to the center of the earth if it stood still for a period of time due to how hot the flames of the hover pad were.

Here goes nothing. The slayer ducked underneath a blade that passed over his head and revved up his thrusters to dash underneath the hover pad. The warrior boosted forward and extended his blade before channeling his spiritual energy to unleash a new attack. "Blood Breathing: Third Form, Bleeding Drill." The Slayer spun his body repeatedly as his spiritual energy manifested into the blood that his Doom Blade emitted. In one, continuous motion, the Slayer sliced through the underbelly of the hoverpad. The Doom Blade seamlessly passed through the Immoran metal that the hoverpad was created with, passing between the circuitry which allowed the device to function.

The Slayer emerged from underneath the Doom Hunter's sled, stopping behind the creature as he stood tall and looked towards the creature's sled which exploded into a million pieces. The Doom Hunter was consumed by the explosion, obscured by the rapidly expanding smoke created from the ashes of its hoverpad.

All of the nearby Demon Slayers had stopped to watch the fight as most had been warned by Tanjiro and his friends to stay away. They were awestruck by the Hellwalker's talents and the destructive capacity of the Super Doom Hunter. Once they saw the creature be enveloped in the explosion, they all cheered and raised their swords in triumph.

Inosuke asked Tanjiro, "You think he did it?" Tanjiro paid attention to the Slayer who reassumed his fighting stance and answered:

"He doesn't think so."

Collective Consciousness by Jamie Christopherson

The Super Doom Hunter swiped away the smoke with its chainsaw blades. It roared with the force of a thunderstorm as it blew away all of the surrounding smoke. The creature remained in the air with a secondary set of thrusters built into its back and waist. The creature was without a lower torso, only comprised of a singular, large thruster that was the most responsible for keeping it aloft while the others aided with maneuverability.

The Doom Hunter charged forward and approached with a wide swing with its chainsaw blade. The creature was much faster now compared to before as the blade approached quickly. The Doom Slayer boosted backwards as fast as he could away from the incoming weapon. He narrowly avoided the blade as he watched it slice past him. The air displaced by the blade had enough force to disrupt the Slayer's movement as it pushed him out of course.

The warrior stood his ground and advanced forward as the second blade intercepted him. The warrior pointed his Shotgun towards the center of the Doom Hunter and fired the meathook into its chest, reeling himself in as he avoided the second blade. He drew his fist back and shot it forward as it collided with the creature's chest. He could feel the crunch of the demon's ribs as they collapsed underneath the warrior's pressure. The Doom Slayer followed through with his attack, punching a hole through the creature's body large enough to separate all of it's limbs at once. He passed through the cloud of blood left behind by the demon's torso and appeared out the other end of the creature's body.

Tanjiro shouted as loud as he could towards the Hellwalker, "WATCH OUT!" The Slayer looked behind him to see the incoming fist of the Doom Hunter smash into him and blow him away with a mighty punch. The nearby demon slayers had watched the Doom Hunter's body regenerate mere milliseconds after being destroyed. None of them had seen regeneration that quick before, especially since most of them had never encountered a Lower Moon.

The Hellwalker crashed into the ground with enough force to create a small crater where he landed. The warrior picked himself up, trying to figure out what just happened and looked towards the now-regenerated Doom Hunter. Perfect, just what he needed, a demon from his dimension that can regenerate. No doubt Muzan had a hand at this. If this demon is like the rest, a simple decapitation should take it out, no problem. With a new goal set, the Slayer raced towards the Doom Hunter with blood trailing behind his Doom Blade.

The demon attempted to slam the Slayer with one of its chainsaw blades, bringing it down so quickly that most of the surrounding demon slayers could barely process its speed. The Hellwalker stopped in place, planted his feet and brought his hands together as he caught the Chainsaw Blade with his hands. He grabbed the weapon by one of its many jagged edges, preventing it from spinning as he fought against the machinery. The sound generated by the weapon grew louder as it exerted itself to make the blades spin but couldn't. The warrior stood still, his biceps stiff as the chainsaw blades dug into his gloves. After a little bit, the weapon began to fall apart as the circuitry jut out from the pressure and the chainsaw blade exploded in the Doom Hunter's hand.

This didn't stop the demon as the second blade swung low which forced the Slayer to jump into the air to avoid it. The demon attempted to backhand the Slayer with its free arm but the warrior was faster than it, pointing his Shotgun towards the skull of the Doom Hunter and pulling himself in with the Meathook. The warrior prepared to hack off the demon's head but was surprised to see the Doom Hunter going in for a headbutt. The Slayer didn't have enough time to avoid this surprise attack and slammed into the creature's forehead. Fortunately, he had not lost his grip on the Shotgun which was still hooked into the creature's skull and pulled himself in one more time as the blood trailed behind his Doom Blade. He announced his next attack, "Blood Breathing: First Form, Blood Spike."

After the Slayer had decapitated the Super Doom Hunter, it's torso began to inflate considerably before popping like a balloon and and a thousand blood needles shot in every direction from the Doom Hunter's body. The demon's head, however, remained in-tact as the sensors on its face began to light up in a sporadic sequence before every light turned on and it began to quickly regenerate its body from its head. The Slayer was struck to the ground once more. The Doom Hunter reached for its dropped weapons and pointed both its cannons towards the Doom Slayer. The warrior scrambled to his feet as he dashed away from the twin projectiles which melted through the ground.

"Anti-decapitation countermeasures working as planned, my lord." One of the scientists announced to the Dark Lord who couldn't help but crack a smirk upon hearing such a statement. Davoth fett immense pride upon hearing his plans come to fruition exactly as he foresaw.

Tanjiro watched from the sidelines while gritting his teeth and his fists clenched tightly, he cursed to himself upon watching the Super Doom Hunter regenerate from decapitation as it did. He murmured to himself, "He needs help…!"

Zenitsu heard Tanjiro's comment and pointed out, "I get how you feel, man, but what exactly are you going to do out there? Get yourself killed? Out of everyone else here, he's the most capable one."

Tanjiro's annoyance was starting to get the better of him as he started to bark, "I know but I hate standing here doing nothing! If there's any way I can help, then I have to do it no matter the risk! It doesn't matter what I do, whether it be giving the Hellwalker a slight opening or even acting as a distraction, regardless, it's still better than sitting on our asses and doing nothing!"

"Don't get reckless, man!"

"Zenitsu, if the Hellwalker can't take this thing down, that.. thing is going to kill every single person on this planet! There is no time to think things over, now is a time to act and I'm going in!" Tanjiro ran towards the action with both Inosuke and Zenitsu calling out the boy's name in protest but ultimately chased after him.

The Slayer was trying to rack his head around the situation and figure out what to do. He remembered the sensors on the Doom Hunter and began to theorize that there are more to the sensors than meets the eye. Those have to be responsible for keeping it alive, a sort of countermeasure against decapitation to make full use out of Muzan's regenerative abilities. This was a very stubborn demon to put down.

The warrior charged towards the Super Doom Hunter, ready to finish this thing off once and for all. The Slayer dodged the incoming projectiles from the demon's cannons, weaving around every projectile as he had no intentions of getting hit. The Slayer was close enough now that it was pointless for the demon to use its arm cannons and resorted to its last remaining melee weapon. As the Hellwalker jumped to destroy the remaining machinery built into the Doom Hunter's skull, it swung its chainsaw blade to attack the Slayer. The warrior dashed out of the way and prepared to finish this fight.

Davoth watched the display and saw the Doom Slayer dash towards the camera with his blade drawn back. In response, the Dark Lord closed his eyes as he extended his arm towards the screen. Without delay, the Doom Slayer was blown away by an attack he couldn't see as he was launched across the landscape before skidding across the ground until he stopped. That hurt, whatever that was, that hurt. That couldn't have possibly been the Doom Hunter, it was in no position to attack and even if it did, it wouldn't have hurt like this. What the hell just happened?

The warrior groaned as he slowly picked himself up while trying to assess the damage he had just taken. The Doom Hunter pointed both of its cannons towards the Doom Slayer and prepared to fire. Tanjiro saw what was happening and ran as fast as he could towards the Hellwalker's side. He had to save him, even if it's the last thing he does! He ran so fast his legs started burning, he ran so fast he almost tumbled from losing control but he couldn't afford to stop now! He quickly eyeballed the cannons and realized they were about to fire, he was out of time. He tapped into his spiritual energy to use his Sun Breathing technique. With his energy concentrated in his legs, he flashed across the landscape to close the gap. The Doom Hunter fired at the Doom Slayer with both of its cannons. The Dark Lord and everyone else watching from behind their screens waited in anticipation of the Doom Slayer's defeat. The Doom Slayer picked himself up and noticed the incoming projectiles. He tried to get out of the way but he wasn't sure he was going to make it. Tanjiro was so close to the Doom Slayer now, he can make it! The boy cried out towards the Hellwalker as he leapt forward to push the Hellwalker out of danger. He felt his hands press against the warrior's armor and pushed with all of his might to get the Hellwalker out of the way and smiled once he realized he had made it, he felt warm following this.

The Slayer was wide-eyed with shock as he watched Tanjiro push him out of the way with a smile spread across his face. That moment of happiness would soon disappear as the two, massive energy beams passed through Tanjiro's body, disintegrating his lower torso and catching one of his arms. The boy's cheerful expression turned to one of sheer agony because of the pain he was experiencing. No blood was shed, there was no time for screams, the beams passed through as Tanjiro's body collapsed to the floor. There was nothing left of the boy's disintegrated limbs, it was all gone along with the environment struck by the Doom Hunter's attack.

The Slayer looked at Tanjiro who's eyes were closed. He wasn't even sure if the boy was alive. He couldn't be, no one could've survived that attack. He couldn't believe what just happened. Why would Tanjiro just sacrifice himself like that? Why would he do something so incomprehensibly stupid?! He didn't stand a chance yet he blindly ran in?! None of this made sense to the Doom Slayer!

It was at that moment where Tanjiro's words finally began to make sense to him. The Doom Slayer finally processed how much the boy had admired him. All the boy had ever wanted was to be acknowledged by the Hellwalker yet time and time again, the Slayer brushed him off. No one had ever sacrificed themselves for the Slayer, not like this. The Slayer was so hellbent on being alone he pushed away those around him, he had sealed himself off from feeling any other emotion besides rage but even that was held back. For the longest time, he couldn't trust anyone, not after what happened in Argent D'nur. He told himself he would never allow himself to feel anything again but things started to change once he got to this dimension. It's just like before, the people around him, the ones he ends up caring about, die because of him. First, his family, then all of his comrades in Argen't D'nur and now… Tanjiro. He can't stand this, he can't stand being the reason for everyone's death. He's trying to save the people around him but they just keep dying because of him! Nothing he ever does is enough, everything always goes wrong and so it has again. The Hellwalker was reminded, once again, why he hated demons with a burning passion…

264 BPM Track by Mick Gordon

An intense energy burst from the Slayer as it caused all the wind in the area to blow against everything with the intensity of a hurricane. The Hellwalker's eyes were bleeding red and symmetrical red marking covered his body like a tattoo. His muscles expanded considerably as a scalding heat radiated from his body. The ground the Slayer stood on overturned as the dirt was ripped from the ground, creating a small crater with the warrior in the epicenter of it. All the Demon Slayers drove their swords into the ground to hold on as they fought back against the harsh winds that threatened to blow them away. They could feel the intense heat slamming into their body as if they were making direct contact with the sun.

The Marauder leaned in as he called out, "My lord, the Slayer…!" Davoth said nothing in response, furrowing his brows as he stared into the hateful red eyes of the Doom Slayer that stared back at the Doom Hunter. Even with a helmet on, the warrior's eyes could be seen glowing from behind his visor. The scientists who watched the battle unfold paid attention to the threat meter of the Doom Slayer, which flickered based on his current position and attacks, skyrocket in percentage. It reached as high as "600%" before being replaced by a series of question marks across the screen. The Slayer seemingly vanished and in that same instant, the cameras went dark and their screens were replaced with a static display. The scientist alerted his master, "The sensor arrays have been taken out, all I have is the vital reading of the Doom Hunter." The scientist displayed the vital readings of the Doom Hunter on their big screen. They watched as the percentage of the Doom Hunter's health exponentially decreased to single digits.

The Doom Slayer repeatedly slammed his fists into the ground where the Doom Hunter was, he wouldn't stop, he couldn't stop, he needed every single drop of blood wiped from the face of this Earth. Each slam caused the area to shake violently, entire trees bellowed under the violent earthquake caused by the Doom Slayer. His slams alone were loud enough to rupture the eardrums of many members of the Demon Slayer Corps. It felt as though each strike moved the entire Earth as the nearby humans held onto dear life or else they would get killed. The Doom Slayer punched the ground as quickly as a machine gun, refusing to let up until he had seen every last drop of blood eradicated.

The Slayer refused to stop, pushing himself even further as his punches became faster and more precise. The ground succumbed to the elements as an unfathomably huge crater was formed by the Doom Slayer. Everyone was unfortunate enough to be caught in the fray as they began sliding down the slope, scrambling to climb back up but it was futile as the crater exponentially grew by the second. The team of scientists watched as the Doom Hunter's vitals finally dropped to zero percent and lead scientist relayed the news to his master, "Vital signs are zero, my lord. The Doom Hunter is dead." There was no response from the Dark Lord, he remained as still as a statue.

The madness continued for another minute before the Hellwalker finally began to calm down and peace was restored to the area. All of the Demon Slayers looked towards one another out of pure shock, they were dumbstruck by what had just happened. The bodies, the smoke, the environment, it was a mess. A good majority of the slayers couldn't hold on and some were unfortunate to fall victim to the Hellwalkers's rampage and lost their life in the process. The crater they all found themselves in was quite possibly the biggest thing anyone had seen in their entire lives. The carnage left behind by the Doom Slayer made it look like a humongous meteor had struck the area, perhaps several. They won, they defeated the demon but at what cost? So many people died today due to one creature, one. That's all it took to wipe out countless villages and many unfortunate members of the Demon Slayer Corps. This revelation heavily demoralized the members of the Demon Slayer Corps but they got to work at assessing the rest of the damage and taking care of the injured.

The Slayer breathed heavily as he was on his knees in the center of the crater. He stared at the ground while catching his breath. He didn't feel happy, he wasn't satisfied with what he had just done. He wanted more, he wanted to kill more demons. He wasn't satisfied with one, he wanted to kill ALL the demons. He wanted to rip and tear their guts, he wanted it strewn across Hell for their brothers to see before he killed them too. His barbaric self began to reemerge from the depths of his consciousness but his train of thought was interrupted once he heard Inosuke crying out, "He's alive! He's still breathing! Quick, get some help you assholes!"

Yume Sekai by Tomatsu Haruka

The warrior looked towards Inosuke and saw Tanjiro in his arms, barely breathing and holding onto life. The Slayer got up on his feet like a zombie, trudging towards the boy despite how tired his body was. It seemed to do that every time he tapped into that power. Inosuke leaned back as the Hellwalker approached and carefully knelt down next to Tanjiro and scooped him up in his arms. The Hellwalker got up with Tanjiro's damaged body and began walking away, fighting against his fatigue to get Tanjiro to safety. He already failed everyone else, he wasn't going to fail Tanjiro too…

The room was silent as all of the scientists were writing down the data from the encounter. Some of the scientists occasionally looked towards the Dark Lord to see if he was upset but the god's face hadn't changed at all which unnerved the men. The Marauder broke the silence as he commented, "My lord, those marks.. They were identical to yours."

The Dark Lord responded, "This is, indeed, a concerning development. However, it's nothing I won't be able to handle once the time comes."

"You don't seem upset over what just happened."

"Not at all. One does not gain anything by counting their losses, but rather, understanding what you have learned because of it. I underestimated the Slayer, a mistake I will not repeat again." The Dark Lord looked towards the lead scientist, calling out, "Collect all the data from this encounter and make the appropriate corrections to all of our current projects."

The scientist nodded in approval as he answered, "Yes, my lord!" before returning to his assignment. The Dark Lord turned towards the Marauder and placed his hand on the demonic night sentinel's shoulder before pointing out:

"The Slayer has an obvious connection with that child. You would be wise to exploit it, Xernex."

The Marauder still wasn't used to hearing his former name but he dismissed his shock before answering his master, "Ofcourse, my lord."
