My eyes widen and my heart stops 'is this...no way...so' I rub my forehead and start to pace nervously 'this must be his first time meeting me then...he said not long after stealing the Tardis...wait, lets watch and see' I stop my pacing and move to stay hidden in a yard, making sure no lights were on in the building behind me before I watch the gate, not long after a car soon pulls up outside the gate and turns off.
I smile seeing the two inside the car waiting for the young girl to sneak into the scrap yard.
I relax 'this was going to be fun, but I have to be very careful about what I say, and do actually...'
I sigh softly and quietly wait, hunched there behind a shrub across the street, but soon Susan comes into view, I quickly hide my face when she looks around before she sneaks through the gate, I wait for a few moments for Ian and Barbara to follow her, quietly stepping out of their car and following her inside the yard, I smile softly and just as they are inside I silently cross the road.
But as I try to sneak through the gate my coat catches onto a wire on it and I gasp, barely catching myself, Ian and Barbara turn quickly, shining their flashlight into my face, I cover my eyes and wince "could you not point that in my face please?" I grumble, brushing my coat off now.
They look at me nervous and confused but I smile a little "don't worry, I'm not some weirdo...ok that came out strange, let me just start over, hello, my name is Rose, and I'm looking for Susan, as you two are" I say, smiling at them softly and putting my hands into my pockets.
Ian moves a little infront of Barbara as he looks me up and down "and how do you know Susan? Are you a friend? A family member?" He asks but Barbara behind him shakes her head, gently laying her hand on his arm "she doesn't live with anyone but her grandfather" she tells him softly, I nod a little at that.
"She's correct, she lives with her grandfather, here, though I know that sounds odd. Ian, would you be so kind as to not trip over that?" I motion to the object on the floor right behind them, he looks to the thing then to me oddly, I shrug a little and nod forward "come on, you want to find Susan don't you?"
They nod slowly, Barbara seems to relax a little but Ian doesn't, still keeping his eye on me a little as he continues on, stepping over the thing he would have tripped over if I hadn't said anything, though I groan as he trips over something else, dropping and losing the flashlight, I sigh softly and come and help him up with Barbara.
They try to ignore me for now, too worried about the young girl they believed to be in danger than to worry about the weird girl wandering around who is also looking for Susan.
"Susan" They both start calling, not super loud but loud enough that if she was near she'd hear, I smile a little as I follow them silently as they wander the scrap yard, I glance every few moments to the blue police box near the piles of scrap.
"Mr Chesterton and Miss Wright" calls Ian as he looks around confused "she couldn't have gotten out without us hearing her" he murmurs as they wander around, I pause and smile softly as Barbara finds the police box.
"Ian, look at this" she calls, looking up at the box as he comes back over curiously, I put my hands in my pockets quietly, resisting the urge to touch the wood, not wanting to alert them she's alive yet, knowing they needed to find it out for themselves.
"Well, its a police box" he says curiously, looking up at it "what on earth's it doing here? They're always in the street" he says, running his fingers along the outside of the door, I hesitate before speaking softly.
"I wouldn't touch he...it" I say softly, quickly correcting myself, but they ignore me, I only receive a patronizing glance from Ian, causing me to roll my eyes.
"Feel it" he says to Barbara "feel it. Do you feel it?" He asks
"It's a faint vibration" Barbara replies after touching the wood softly, I shake my head a little, glancing over to the door I know the Doctor will come through soon enough.
"It's alive" gasps Ian before he starts to circle her, as if looking for something, wires or anything connecting her to anything else, I shake my head again and quick move to a hiding place, soon hearing the coughing to signify who was close.
I smile softly as the others hide and he steps into the scrap yard, coughing softly into a handkerchief as he moves to stand in front of the Tardis, he goes to unlock the door, Susan speaking loudly from inside but a soft noise alerts him to the others, he closes the door quickly and moves to stand in front of it, Ian stepping out to confront him.
"Excuse me" he says, facing the Doctor, I stay silent happily, very glad I hadn't opened my side of the connection, who knows what could have happened then, would it open up for him? Is that how it worked?
I shrug it off for now as the Doctor glares up at the tall man infront of him "what are you doing here" he snaps.
"We're looking for a young girl" Ian explains, the Doctor not having any of it as he points his flashlight in Ians face.
"We?" He demands, I forgot how nervous and cautious he was when he was younger.
Barbara steps out from her hiding place "good evening" she greets nervously.
"What do you want" the Doctor asks again seriously.
"Um, One of our pupils, Susan Foreman, came into this yard" Ian explains.
"Really? In here? Are you sure?" The Doctor asks a little dramatically.
"Yes, we saw her from across the street" Barbara explains.
"In this light?" The Time Lord asks skeptically.
"Quite clearly" replies Ian.
"You were spying on her, who are you?" He accuses, demanding to know.
"We heard a young girls voice call out to you" Ian snaps back with.
"Impossible" the Doctor exclaims.
"It came from in there" Barbara gestures to the police box.
"You must have imagined it" he retorts
"I certainly did no imagine it" Barbara says angrily.
"Young man..." the Doctor takes Ians arm and pulls him a few feet away "is it reasonable to suppose that anybody would be inside a cupboard like that?" He asks the taller man, pointing to the blue box.
"Is it, therefore, unreasonable to ask you to let us have a look inside?" Ian retorts, smirking a little, only angering the Doctor more.
"You have no right to be here! You're hiding and trespassing" he snaps "I suggest you see this young child tomorrow instead of bothering me"
"But wont you help us? We're two of her teachers from the Coal Hill school" Barbara pleads "we saw her come in and we haven't seen her leave. Naturally we're worried"
"It is no business of mine. I suggest you leave here" the old man snaps once again, walking back to stand before the Tardis, I shake my head 'so stubborn, this will be very interesting indeed'
"Not until we're satisfied that Susan isn't in there" Ian storms over, angry and worried "And I don't understand your attitude"
"Yours leaves a lot to be desired" snaps the Doctor, I smirk a little 'still slightly childish, even when he's trying his hardest to be old and wise'
"Will you open that door?" Asks Ian.
"I will not" the old man retorts again.
"Why not? What are you afraid we'll find there?"
The Doctor glares up at him angrily "Go away" he growls.
"Open the door!" Demands Ian.
"I certainly will not" snaps the Doctor, standing his ground as he glares up and down at Ian "Pushing your way in here"
Ian turns to Barbara "then I think we'd better find a policeman" he says seriously as she nods.
"Very well" the Doctor says, seeming to calm down a little.
"And you're coming with us" demands Ian, once again facing the Time Lord.
"Oh, am I ?" He asks curiously, walking past them a few feet and leaning against a piece of metal, I hold my breath as he was incredibly close to me now.
"I think not" he says defiantly, facing away from them.
I can hear Ian and Barbara talking behind him but I pay them no mind right now, just watching the Doctor quietly, I hadn't met this him yet, and it was strange, seeing things all in color, and not having the old movie buzz in the background, he looked so much more like himself with color, more human, oddly enough, I smile a little at that.
He picks up an old piece of pottery and quietly looks it over, turning it in his hands as he listens to the two behind him, I smile softly, knowing how good his hearing is, he has no trouble at all hearing Ian and Barbara's conversation.
"Susan! Are you in there? It's Mr Chesterton and Miss Wright, Susan" Ian says, pulling on the door handle of the old police box.
"Don't you think you're being rather high-handed, young man?" The Doctor asks, not taking his eyes off the pot in his hands "you thought you saw a young girl enter the yard. You imagined you heard her voice. You believe she might be in there.. not very substantial, is it?" He finishes, setting the pot down but keeping his back to them.
"But why wont you help us?" Asks Barbara.
"I'm not hindering you" he retorts "if you both want to make fools of yourselves, I suggest you do what you said you'd do. Go and find a policeman"
"While you nip off quietly in the other direction?" Ian asks angrily.
"Insulting. There's only one way in and out of this yard. I shall be here when you get back. I want to see your faces when you try to explain away your behavior to a policeman" he finishes, turning to face them, I have to cover my mouth to suppress my laugh at that and keep unheard and unseen.
"Nevertheless, we're going to find one. Come on Barbara" Ian says, glaring slightly at the Time Lord.
"What are you doing out there?" Calls Susan from inside the box, the door opening just slightly.
"She is in there!" Ian yells, going to make a run for the door.
The Doctor runs closer and grabs Ian to stop him quickly "Close the door!" He orders Susan quickly as Ian and Barbara struggle against him, but they get free and run inside, The Doctor following right after them angrily, I take my chance and quickly and quietly leave my hiding place and slide inside, trying to keep out of Susans sight behind the other humans.
Both Ian and Barbara look around in fear and awe of the large room seeming stuffed into the small police box, I smile softly and stay against the wall, laying my hand on her softly, receiving a warm hum against my touch.
The Doctor orders Susan to close the door and she does so, they all turn and I stiffen seeing them all look over to the doors as they close, then they see me, I smile sheepishly and receive glares from everyone there but Susan, who just looks extremely confused.
"Another? Where did you come from?" The Doctor orders, angrily at me, I shrug a little "I just heard shouting and wanted to make sure everything was alright" I lie, but he doesn't seem to believe me "then why do you seem to not be frightens about what's around you?" He asks, moving closer, I press my back into the wall a little as I watch him closely.
"Shock...?" I ask lamely, he narrows his eyes to me but decides to drop it for now, he turns back to Susan and gestures to the other two "I believe these people are known to you?" He asks her.
"They're two of my schoolteachers. What are you doing here?" She asks them.
"Where are we?" Asks Barbara still in awe.
The Doctor stands in front of Susan, obviously very cross "they must've followed you. That ridiculous school. I knew something like this would happen if we stayed in one place for too long" he scolds.
I frown softly and step forward a little "don't blame the girl, she has no control over others" I tell him seriously, he glares back at me "I will do as I please in my own home, she is my granddaughter, you will kindly stay out of our business" he snaps, I sigh softly and shake my head 'welp, this is gonna be one hell of an adventure'
"Why should they follow me?" asks Susan sadly, obviously worried about what he would do to them.
"Is this really where you live, Susan?" Asks Barbara and Susan nods "yes"
"And what's wrong with it?" The Doctor asks, I smile as Ian still looks to be in shock.
"But it was just a telephone box" he says, looking around.
"Perhaps" the Doctor replies and I smile more, quietly wandering toward the console and sticking my hands into my pockets, feeling the Doctors eyes on me every now and then as he and the others talk, smiling gently at Susan as I pass her before looking over the controls curiously, but I keep my hands in my pockets to let the Doctor know I wasn't going to touch anything.
I tune back into the conversation as Ian walks up to the Doctor "I walked all around it" he insists.
"It's stopped again, you know, and I tried...hmm? Oh you wouldn't understand" he says and walks away from the confused man.
"But I want to understand!" Ian insists.
"Dimensional transcendentalism" I say quickly before I stiffen as I realize my mistake, I look up cautiously to see both the Doctor and Susan staring at me with wide eyes, I smile sheepishly and shrug "close guess...?" I ask, trying to pass it off as a guess but the Doctor narrows his eyes at me angrily and comes over to stand in front of me.
"How in the world would you know that?" He asks seriously, looking down at me in anger, I watch him nervously as I try to come up with a good lie.
"I'm not from earth, and I've heard of this kind of ship before" I try to explain, I guess it wasn't technically a lie, I wasn't from this earth, and I had heard about it before.
He decides that's the best answer he was going to get for now before he goes and takes off his cloak, leaving me to stand by the console across from Susan.
"By the way, Susan, I managed to find a replacement for that faulty filament" he says, setting his cloak on a chair and taking his scarf off as well, it joined the cloak on the chair.
"Bit of an amateur job, but I think it'll serve" he says before coming back over to the console on Susans side before he starts to put the filament into its rightful place.
"It's an illusion, it must be" Ian insists, trying to rationalize it all in his mind.
"What is he talking about now?" The Doctor asks exasperated.
Susan looks to her teachers worriedly "what are you doing here?" She asks them, casting a nervous glance toward me, but I just smile at her softly.
'Poor Susan, she is still so young, and nervous and afraid, poor child is so young, isn't she only 15 here?' I nod to myself a little and zone back in on the conversation.
"The Tardis can go anywhere" Susan tells them, I smile more and reach my hand out, softly patting the panel in-front of me as I watch them.
"Tardis?" Asks Barbara, very confused at the mention of this being a ship "I don't understand you, Susan" she says.
Susan was starting to get a little overwhelmed now as she says "I made up the name Tardis form the initials" she explains quickly "Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. I thought you'd understand when you saw the different dimensions from those outside"
I come over around the right side of the console to stand beside Susan, gently laying my hand on her shoulder as Ian goes off on a bit of a tangent, she looks at me with wide fearful eyes but I smile at her softly as the Doctor and Ian talk.
"Don't worry about it, they will get it in time, they just don't have the knowledge that you do, think of them like brand new students learning a new language, they don't know what any of the words mean and that can make them frustrated, but they aren't angry with you" I say softly, she relaxes a little as she watches me curiously.
"You don't seem to be afraid like they are, how do you know about all of this?" She asks, I glance to the Doctor then back to her "don't tell your granddad, but I'm a time traveler as well, and I know much more about you all than you think, but I cannot say much, but I promise you Susan, on my own life, that I am not a threat to you or the Doctor" I say softly, her eyes had widened as she watched me nervously, especially since I knew his name even though he hadn't said it at all.
"I'm not here to hurt anyone, or change anything, I am simply here by mistake, I had no control to be here, you see when I time travel I don't really have control of it" I tell her softly, I had moved us a few feet away from the others to talk.
She nods a little "then you know my grandfather in the future?" She asks, I nod softly "yes, but I cannot tell him that, at least not yet, so I don't want you to tell him either, but I know you could know, your brilliant, but I know I was making you nervous, so I wanted to reassure you I'm not dangerous" I explain, smiling gently as she nods a little.
I nod for her to go to them, smiling gently at her before she returns to the group, begging the Doctor to let Ian and Barbara go, trying to explain they weren't a threat to them, but he walks away "No" he responds, I sigh softly and shake my head 'so stubborn'
"He cant keep us here!" Ian says angrily.
Barbara goes to stand infront of Susan quickly "Susan, listen to me. Cant you see that all this is an illusion?" She asks her "its a game that you and your grandfather are playing, if you like. But you can't expect us to believe it" she explains, I frown seeing Susan getting worked up again.
"It's not a game!" She insists.
"But Susan" Barbara starts but Susan interrupts her.
"It's not!" She says again, I decide I need to step in, I walk over and gently lay my hand on Susans shoulder again, standing behind her and slightly to her right as I look up at the two humans.
"You must believe her, this is not a game, nor has it ever been Barbara" I say seriously, feeling protective of Susan "I know it all is very hard to believe, it seems impossible to believe, trust me, I have had a hard time believing too, but what you are standing in right now, is a space and time ship, just as they have said" I explain, Ian goes to speak but I hold up my free hand to silence him.
"I know you do not want to believe, this would change your very thoughts on life, but it is real, as real as us, as real as the sun in the sky, and before you say anything about her looking like you two, its more the other way around" I smile softly as Susan looks up at me curiously.
"You both look like her, for her civilization came first, her people have been around since nearly the dawn of time itself in this universe, therefore, her people came first, your people, the humans came many many years after" I explain, seeing them both look at me strangely.
"But, you look just like all of us as well, besides the hair color, but you say 'her civilization' and 'the humans' as if you aren't one of us" Ian says confused, I smile sadly at that and nod.
"I do indeed, but I honestly do not know what I am, I used to believe I was human, I think I was for most of my life, but something happened, something changed me and now I am neither human, nor her kind" I say softly, they all look at each other confused but I see the Doctor watching me from across the room, curious but suspicious.
Ian shakes his head in disbelief before looking to Barbara.
"Come on, Barbara, lets get out of here" he says and grabs her arm gently to turn her as they go to the doors quickly , I sigh softly and let my hand drop back into my pocket as Susan goes after them "its no use, you cant get out. He won't let you go" she exclaims sadly.
I glance over to see the Doctor chuckling to himself as he looks away form them, trying to hide his laughter, I shake my head softly but smile a little.
"He closed the door from over there. I saw him" Ian says, coming over to the console, I move back away from it to let Ian wander around it, looking for the switch that closed the doors.
"Which control operates the door?" Ian demands.
"You still think its an illusion?" The Doctor asks, looking smug as he walks over to the consoled again, Ian comes around to stand next to him angrily.
"I know that free movement in time and space is a scientific dream. I don't expect to find solved in a junkyard" I snicker a little.
"Your arrogance is nearly as great as your ignorance" The Doctor responds, his smirk not leaving his face.
"Will you open the door? Open the door!" Yells Ian in his face, the Doctor turning his back to the man, I raise my eyebrow at him before looking back to the poor freaked out man.
"Susan, will you help us?" Ian almost begs.
"I mustn't" she says sadly.
"Very well then. I'll have to risk it myself" Ian decides, turning to the console as he looks over the buttons and levers.
"I cant stop you" says the alien as he turns to the console as well.
"Dont touch it. It's live!" yells Susan but it was too late, as Ian tried to press a button he gets a big shock, literally, he freezes and falls back for a moment, in obvious pain as he knees on the ground, Barbara and Susan going to his side worriedly.
"Ian! What on earth do you think your doing?" She demands of the Doctor as he stands back and watches, though I suppose I wasnt any better, standing off to the side, leaning a little on the console gently on the other side to the Doctor.
"Grandfather, let them go now, please" begs Susan desperately.
"And by tomorrow we shall be a public spectacle. A subject for news and idle gossip" he retorts.
"But they wont say anything" Susan begs, standing to go to him quickly.
"My dear child" he gently grips her shoulders as he explains "of course they will. Put yourself in their place. They are bound to make some sort of complaint to the authorities. Or at the very least talk to their friends. If I do let them go, Susan, you realize, of course, we must go, too"
"No, grandfather, we've had all this..." she tries but he interrupts her.
"There's no alternative, child" he says seriously.
"I want to stay" she pleads a little angrily "but they're both kind people. Why wont you trust them?" She asks "all you've got to do is ask them to keep our secret"
"It's out of the question" he says, facing away to try and make it his final statement but she continues.
"I wont go, grandfather, I wont leave the 20th century. I'd rather leave the Tardis and you" she says, I sigh softly, knowing that wasn't the case at all.
"Now you're being sentimental and childish" he says, I smile a little at that, he didn't know just how sentimental and childish he would be someday.
"No, I mean it" she says seriously.
"Very well. Then you must go with them" he says, smiling a little "I'll open the door"
"Are you coming, Susan?" Barbara asks hopefully, I watch quietly, stepping back a few feet from the console, knowing exactly what he was doing as he begins to press buttons and flip switches and levers quickly.
"Oh, no, grandfather! No!" Susan yells as she try's to get him away from the controls but he fights her off and orders her to hold on, I lean back against the wall, gently bracing myself with the round things as the whole ship begins to shake and jerk around, I smile widely hearing the tell-tale sound of the Tardis taking off, I smile up at the ceiling and pat the wall as I keep a tight grip on her.
Both the humans had managed to pass out, Barbara in a chair and Ian on the floor next to her, I shake my head a little and look back to the Doctor and Susan at the console as the center of the console goes up and down, lighting up.
I sigh as we re-materialize in the wasteland, letting go of the wall as the Doctor looks over at me cautiously, finding it odd I had no reaction to the shaking other than holding on.
I brush my coat off and come over to Barbara and gently shake her, waking her up before I kneel next to Ian on the floor, helping him sit up carefully "careful, you hit your head a little on the floor, don't try to stand right away" I explain before standing and coming over to the console, looking up at the screen on the wall.
"Layer of sand, rock formations. Good" the Doctor mumbles as he watches the screen as well.
"We've left 1963" Susan states.
"Oh, yes, undoubtedly" the Doctor agrees "I'll be able to tell you where presently. Zero? That's not right" he says confused "I'm afraid this yearometer is not calculating properly...Hm...well, anyways, the journey's finished" he turns to the two behind us, Ian still on the floor.
"What are you doing down there?" He asks them.
"What have you done?" Barbara asks him seriously, I tune out their conversation for now, I didn't need to listen as I knew what was happening.
I start to get lost in thought as I lean on the console 'what should I do about the cavemen? Should I let him knock out and capture the Doctor? Or should I tell him before hand? No, I cant tell him anything, he either won't believe me or he will think I'm working for the Time Lords to try and get him to go back' I shake my head a little and sigh 'what would the future him say...?'
I look up when I hear the doors open, I smile softly and walk to them, glancing out at the desert outside "see Ian? He's no magician, not yet anyways" I say softly, glancing over as the doctor goes to grab his things 'this is my chance, do I follow him? He will most definitely be angry with me, but I don't want him to be taken alone'
I follow him as he brushes past me outside, going to take samples of the soil and things to make sure where and when we are, I stay quiet as I follow, not wanting to disturb him as he mumbles to himself a little.
"its still a police box. Why hasn't it changed? Dear, dear, how very disturbing" he mumbles, glancing back, I smile sheepishly and keep my hands in my pockets, he glances past me at the others before he continues off, I quietly follow him away from the others, seeing him glance back at me every few moments.
"what do you want my dear?" He asks, a little harsher than was probably needed but I know he's a little stressed with the people he's had to kidnap, I shrug softly.
"Nothing, I'm just curious as to how you are going to take samples, Ive always enjoyed watching scientists" I say softly, he looks up at me curiously "and how could you possibly know I'm a scientist?" He asks.
"Because you're taking samples" I smile softly "its pretty rare for someone not a scientists to do so" I say and he seems satisfied with that answer and gets back to working as I watch, staying a few feet back, my back to where the caveman would appear from.
I didnt expect what happened next though, I suddenly feel a hard hit to the back of my head, causing me to fall to the ground in pain, I stay stiff, holding my breath as the Doctor is knocked unconscious next to me, I wait as the caveman picks him up and starts off before I stand and quickly go after him, my head pounding and I think I can feel blood running through my hair but I ignore it for now, keeping within sight of the caveman and the Doctor.
For nearly 30 minutes we walk, my headache only getting worse as I trudge after them through the odd old forest, but I make sure not to lose them, I wasn't going to let him out of my sight, I stop as we get to the caveman's tribe, I hide behind a few trees and bushes to watch, to make sure they don't hurt him anymore than they have, the man lays him down onto a large rock table like structure.
The whole tribe was outside, looking on in curiosity.
I keep watch as the men talk over his unconscious form, but I ignore what they say, not really caring right now, I was more worried about if they would try to eat him or not, but as they talk a woman went up to him and said "the creature has opened its eyes" I knew that was my cue.
"Where's my...where..." the Doctor mumbles out, disoriented, I quickly jump out from behind the trees and move to his side, holding my hands up as the cavemen back away, holding up their weapons defensively "I'm not here to hurt you" I call quickly, my heart racing.
"I have only come for him" I gently lay my hand on the Doctors, trying to calm him as he wakes, nearly accidentally opening the connection, but I quickly stop myself, the cavemen start to fight amongst themselves as I turn to the Doctor, looking over him to make sure he was alright as they continue to talk, I help him sit up carefully, he rubs his head in confusion and pain as he looks around at everything.
He meets my eyes for a moment and I just give him a soft smile before he focuses back onto the cavemen surrounding us, he stands quickly as he was listening "I can make fire for you. Let me go and I'll make all the fire you want" he says quickly, startling the tribe.
"You don't have to be afraid of me. I'm an old man" he says as he walks around a bit, looking over the tribe, I watch around us cautiously "Doctor..." I say nervously
"How can an old man like me harm any of you" he continues, glancing at me once before looking away to them all again.
But my heart stops as something hits me, under all of the voices I can hear music, very soft but there, I try to ignore it, praying it wouldn't make me leave yet, I couldn't leave him alone here, especially without knowing what's happening.
The Doctor tries to bargain with them, to take us back to the ship but the cavemen begin to fight amounts themselves again.
One of them comes up and grabs the Doctor, begging him to make fire only for the Doctor to shout that he can't without his matches, I quickly step closer and shove the caveman off him, startling them both but I move in front of the Doctor, looking at Kal, the tribes leader.
"He cannot make fire yet, you must give him time" I snap, keeping one arm back holding onto the sleeve of the Doctors coat, I can feel him tense behind me as he stares at me in confusion, probably confused why I'd help him so much.
But I get distracted as the music gets a little louder, Kal manages to shove me away and grabs the Doctor, threatening to kill him if he didnt make fire while the others around us jeered, I get grabbed by another of the cavemen and try to fight them off until the man holding me falls to the ground unconscious from a blow to the head, I turn and Ian is there's, smiling and I turn to see Susan launching herself at Kal to get him to let go of the Doctor.
I try to help fight them off but we are soon all grabbed, I struggle against the two holding me as one of them grabs Ian and goes to swing his club down but the Doctor quickly stops him "If he dies, there will be no fire" he says quickly, everyone around us stilling, I shove the men off me and quickly move to stand with Susan as she struggles, I make the man let go of her and quickly hug her to me protectively.
Looking back around as an old woman demands to kill Barbara, I tighten my arms around Susan as I watch, she clings to me in fear as we both watch, I look down at her and smile gently "Dont worry, everything will be alright soon" I whisper to her to try and help her calm down before we look back to everyone around us.
"Take them to the cave of skulls" orders one of them, I quickly tighten my arms around Susan as she try's to get to the Doctor, crying for him in worry and fear, I keep my arms around her as they heard us into the caves "Susan it will be alright" I say quickly "he will be with us, trust me, please" I plead, my heart wrenching at every cry of hers.
She calms down just a little but still clings to me looking around at them all in fear, I keep my arm around her tightly, hiding her almost under my coat as we are shoved into the cave, then we are bounded and shoved inside, I keep my side pressed to Susan before she sees her grandfather and quickly sits next to him worriedly, he looks to me as I lean against the wall shakily, my eyes closed tightly.
"Why did you protect her?" I suddenly hear, I look up quickly "what?" I ask confused.
"Why did you protect Susan like that? You are not one of her teachers" the Doctor says, watching me closely, I sigh softly, flinching as the music jumps higher, I slide down the wall to a sitting position.
"Because she needed protecting, she would have been hurt by them if I hadn't made them let go of her" I say and shrug but he shakes his head.
"No, enough of the lies" he snaps, I raise my eyebrow slightly.
"You were not shocked to see the inside of the Tardis, you said because you have heard story's, but you were not even slightly surprised, and then you take Susan away to talk, and she seems to trust you now, what did you tell her?" He asks angrily, I frown softly.
"I told her something I cannot tell you" I say honestly but his glare only gets sharper.
"And why cant you tell me?" He demands.
"Because half of the reason is too dangerous, the other half is you wouldn't believe me unless I gave you proof, but I do not think I could give that" I answer truthfully.
"To hell with believing you girl, answer me without riddles" he snaps, I flinch slightly and frown before sighing.
"You must know I warned you" I say seriously as he keeps his eyes on me, Ian, Barbara and Susan all watching with baited breath, I sigh softly, looking down so as not to meet his hateful and suspicious eyes.
"I am a time traveler, just as you are, only I have no control over when or where I end up, I am from the year 2021, and I'm also from a different universe, well...I think I am anyways, but besides that, I have met you in the future" I smile sadly and look up at him "we are good friends in the future actually, your future, I've known you for years now from my point of view" I explain and he scoffs.
"As if I'd believe something like that, you are working for the Time Lords aren't you?" He snaps, I shake my head softly.
"No, I would never willingly work for those tyrants, I'm telling the truth, I know much more about you than you probably think possible" I say and he narrows his eyes at me.
"Prove it then girl, prove to me you are not lying" he demands.
"You really want me to?" I ask, he nods seriously "alright, well I know you are currently about 200 years old, you only just stole the Tardis recently, you and your granddaughter ran off to escape the crazy Time Lords and their rules and customs, you...you were afraid of the dark in the barn you would sleep in before you joined the academy to become a Time Lord, your best friend was and still is currently Koschei, who now calls himself The Master, the academy was where you met him, and your nickname there was Theta Sigma, and...the reason you chose the name Doctor, was because it was a promise, to never be 'never cruel or cowardly. Never give up. Never give in' and I believe I'm going to be traveling again in the next minute or so" I explain.
The entire time I spoke the Doctors eyes widened, as he stared at me in awe and what I realized was fear, Susan also staring in shock.
"Wait a minute girl, you cannot just leave now" he snaps, confused and still in slight shock "you must explain yourself!" He orders, I smile sadly and shake my head.
"I'm sorry Doctor, I can't stop it, the music is getting louder, which means I'm leaving, but you'll see me soon enough again, just a future me" I smile gently at him "take care of yourself, And Susan, and Ian and Barbara, they will need you" I say as the music becomes nearly deafening.
"Now wait just a minute! Who are you?" The Doctor demands, realizing he didn't even know my name yet.
I smile more "I'm Rose, its nice to finally meet you Theta" I call before blinking and everything goes dark, I look down and groan, the ropes still around my wrists and ankles, I struggle but its no use, I look down to the new tattoo curious, only to sigh as its only a small bone, and the minute hand on the clock changing to 11.
I roll my eyes tiredly before closing them tightly and waiting to hear something other than the blood flowing in my ears.
Soon I hear cars driving past and people talking, I sigh and open my eyes, looking around in confusion, I'm in an alleyway, I sigh softly and see a few people walking past, all wearing warmer clothes, making me glad I wore this big wool coat, I slowly make it to my feet and hop to the end of the alley, stopping a few people as they pass.
"Scuse me! Sorry, my friends thought it would be funny to tie me up, could I get some help? I think they decided to head home" I chuckle, though the people look at me oddly and quickly walk away, I groan softly and sit on the ground with my back to the wall, looking at people as they pass, I keep asking for them to help, but no one moves to help me, I look around before finally an older woman with a young child comes up looking worried.
"Can I help?" She asks, I smile softly and nod, the little boy looks on in worry as she helps me untie the knots.
"Thank you so much, my friends thought it would be funny to tie me up and dump me in an alley, see how long it would take me to get free" I smile kindly at her as I toss the ropes into a bin in the alley, she nods and smiles softly.
"It's no problem, my grandson was worried about you" she says, gesturing to the little boy behind her legs, I smile softly and crouch down, smiling at him softly "I'm alright, thank you for worrying about me, it means a lot to me, never stop ok? Never stop caring for people" I say softly and he smiles a little and nods before pointing to my hair curiously.
I look up, going cross eyed as I pretend to try and see my hair, he giggles softly and I smile more at him, my heart leaping at his little giggles "you want to see it?" I ask, taking a lock of my hair and holding it up, he nods but looks up at his grandmother and she nods, gently pushing him closer, he comes up sheepishly and gently touches my hair, his eyes widening "it feels just like mine!" He exclaims excitedly.
I giggle softly and nod "its still only hair, just a different color" I say softly and he nods before running to hide behind the woman's legs again, I smile softly as I stand up, thanking the woman again before heading off quickly.
I look around curiously, noticing the many Christmas decorations, I look around quickly for a newspaper, thankfully finding an abandoned one on a bench, I pick it up and look at the date, my eyes widening as it reads "24th December 2006"
I drop the paper and look around quickly before I ask someone for directions to the Powel Estate, they look confused but point me in the right direction, I thank them and take off running, my heart racing as I go 'I cant be late!' I push myself.
It's not long before I hear the tell tale sound of the Tardis as she comes careening out of the sky far above me, I sprint faster, following her trajectory and soon seeing Mickey sprinting as well, I smile and bump shoulders with him as we run, he jolts and looks up, stopping for just a moment, I laugh and motion for him to follow and he does "Rosie! Then it's definitely the Doctor then" he says as we run.
We soon turn a corner to see Jackie running outside as well, I smile and laugh as she tackles me in a hug "Rosie! Your here too! It must be them then!" She cheers, I nod as she grabs my arm excitedly "I said so, didn't I? She's alive!" Jackie says, grabbing onto Mickeys sleeve as well in excitement.
I nod again and watch as they bicker a little in the excitement before the sound of the Tardis gets louder and she soon appears out of the time vortex, bouncing off of three walls and the front of a van before she comes to a screeching landing, hitting into a few bins, knocking them over as we had ducked, Jackie clinging onto Mickey in the panic.
As soon as the Tardis came to a stop I get to my feet, sprinting to the Tardis quickly, Jackie and Mickey close behind me, I stand to the left of the doors, knowing he wouldn't see me yet, I smile widely as a tall skinny brown haired man stumbles out, the clothes he was wearing were too big on him, the black leather jacket especially, his hair is a mess and he looks really out of it, he looks up at them and smiles widely, though his eyes are a bit too wide and I can almost sense how messed up his mind is, even with the connection closed.
"Jackie! Mickey! blimey!" He all but yells, smiling widely I smile more and shake my head as he stumbles back a bit, wagging a finger at them "NO, no, no, no. Hold on. Wait there" he says as he walks behind them, but they follow him confused, turning as he moves.
"What was I going to say? There was something I had to tell you. Something important. What was it?" He asks, rambling as he grabs their shoulders almost for support "No, hold on. Hold on. Hold on" I giggle a little as he starts shushing them for a moment before he seems to register my giggles, he looks up quickly with wide eyes, I smile softly and come up to him quickly.
I gently cup his cheeks and smile up at him "I think you were meaning to say Merry Christmas" I say softly and he nods, his eyes widening as he seems to register who I am before he passes out, I quickly catch him, very gently laying him on the ground, I sigh softly and feel his forehead quickly then gently press one hand to the right side of his chest, then again to the left, making sure both hearts were working before Rose steps out of the Tardis.
She looks shaken up as she stares down at him.
"What happened? Is he alright?" She asks worriedly, I nod and smile up at her softly as Mickey says "I Don't know. He just keeled over. But who is he? Where's the Doctor?" He asks.
I smile softly and shake my head as Rose says "that's him. Right in front of you, that's the Doctor" they both look at her in confusion before all three look to me, I nod to Mickey and Jackie.
"it is him, he's regenerated" I explain a bit as I stand "would you help me get him inside?" I ask, they nod, all seeming to be a little confused and in shock, I carefully pick up his upper half and Mickey helps by grabbing his legs, Jackie leads us upstairs and into their little apartment, I thank Rose as I gently place him onto the bed, gently feeling his forehead again as she stands in the doorway, looking nervous and sad.
I smile at her gently, coming over as Mickey goes into the kitchen, I gently lay my hand on her arm "Don't worry, he will be alright, trust me, I'm going to look after him" I say and she nods softly, Jackie brings me a pair of striped pjs, I thank her before they both leave and I close the door, blushing bright red as I realize I have to change him, I get to work, trying to keep focused as I carefully pull his jacket and shirt off.
I hang up his jacket and gently pull the pajama shirt on him, gently buttoning it up before moving onto his shoes, unlacing them and taking them off before I set them next to the end of the bed 'ok Rose, just don't think about it' I think before quickly taking his jeans off, blushing brightly the whole time, though thankfully he wore underwear, I gently pull the pajama pants on before gently pulling the blankets up over him.
I take a few deep breaths to calm down before opening the door to hear Rose and her mother talking, basically having the same conversation as they did in the show when Rose was checking on him, only with some minor changes, I smile softly and come out to check on them "hey Rose, can I speak with you?" I ask her, she looks up from the couch and nods, quickly standing.
I walk back into her room with her following "ok first off, thank you for letting us use your room to lay him in, and I just wanted to make sure you were alright, I know what you saw, everything was a little traumatic, even before he regenerated" I say softly, she stiffens and looks at me nervously, I smile softly at her.
"It's alright, I know a lot of what happened, with Bad Wolf and Jack and everything, but I want you to know he's alright, it wasn't your fault, I know you blame yourself for him regenerating" I say softly, she was watching him before she looks to me quickly again, her eyes wide as she watches me.
"How did you...?" I smile gently "because I know you Rose Tyler, I know you feel like you've killed him" I say softly, seeing the tears in her eyes, I gently pull her into a hug and she clings to me as her tears fall "I did this to him" she whimpers, I shake my head, tightening my arms around her.
"No, he saved you, and everyone else there, he isn't dead, nor is he very sick, he's just exhausted, give him time, and he'll prove to you he's the same man as he was three hours ago" I say and pull back, she nods and wipes her tears quickly, smiling a little "thanks...needed that" she says softly before looking to him in the bed sadly "how long will he be like this?" She asks, I shrug softly, taking off my coat and gently hanging it over the end of the bed.
"A few hours at minimum, a few days at maximum, but remember what I said, he will be alright" I say softly and she nods, sending me a grateful smile before leaving the room, I sigh softly and smile a little as I come over to the side of the bed, sitting down and gently feeling his forehead again, though his skin felt colder than I knew a humans would be I know his temperature was a little too high.
I move to stand only for him to open his mouth just a little and golden light to flow out, I smile softly as I watch, gently laying my hand on his arm only for my eyes to widen as the light swims through the air towards me, I slowly raise my hand and the light dances around and through my fingers before it disappears out the open window, I smile a little and gently kiss his forehead before getting up.
I step into the living room, seeing Mickey went to finish his shift at work and Rose is reading a book to keep her mind busy, I gently pat her shoulder as I pass her into the kitchen smiling softly seeing Jackie making tea.
"Hi Jackie, I was wondering where you keep the rags? His temperature is a little high" I say softly, she looks up and smiles before grabbing a rag out for me "here you are sweetheart, how is he doing besides?" She asks as I fill a bowl with cold water, I shrug a little "he will be alright, he just needs to rest for now, then he'll be right as rain" I say and smile gently at her, taking the rag.
"And thank you, for hosting us even during the Christmas season" I say and she waves it off "of course I'd host you! Especially during Christmas! No ones getting left out in the cold while I'm alive" she says seriously, I giggle a little and nod, thanking her again before making my way to the door, only for her voice to stop me.
"OH! Rosie, what tea do you like?" She asks, I smile more back at her "just peppermint if you have any, with a small amount of sugar if possible, thank you" I say happily as she nods, I head back into the bedroom quietly, setting the bowl onto the small bedside table before sitting at his side and gently dabbing the cold water over his forehead, feeling him move just slightly into my touch.
I smile softly and continue to work on getting his temperature down while Rose and Jackie talk in the other room, then Rose gets distracted by the tv showing Harriet Jones, I smile softly, even knowing the mistake she will make, I could never hate her, she was far too brave, especially when the Daleks stole the planet.
After I get his temperature down a little Jackie brings in my tea, I thank her and start to read while drinking it, wanting to pass the time, Rose pops her head in after a few hours "you going to be ok? I'm gonna run out and do some shopping with Mickey" I look up and nod softly.
"Of course, go have fun, but be careful" I say seriously, she smiles and nods, waving before she's off happily, I smile a little and take my empty mug to the kitchen, being quiet as Jackie watched her show.
I return to Roses room quietly, feeling the Doctors forehead once more to make sure the temperature hasn't returned before I realize this would be a long night, I stand and step into the hallway "I'll be back in just a minute Jackie" I call before leaving the flat, quietly wandering down and out of the complex, heading for the Tardis, when I get to her I find the door locked, but I get an idea, I hadn't been able to try it yet.
I pull off my necklace gently, the old Tardis key shining in the Christmas lights, I slide it into the lock hopefully before silently cheering as the lock clocks and the door swings open, I pull the necklace back over my head and smile up at the ceiling as I step inside.
"Merry Christmas Sexy" I call happily, receiving a loud happy humming in response.
"Don't worry also, he will be ok tomorrow, I'm just here to grab my phone" I call, heading off to my room quickly.
Once there I find my backpack on my bed, I go and rummage through it, grabbing my phone and smiling sadly as I see my wallet, I open it up to show the picture of my mom and little brother smiling up at me, tears prick my eyes sadly "I miss you guys...but you'd never guess where I am" I laugh softly and kiss the picture gently before setting the wallet back into the backpack, I look through it one last time, making sure I had all I needed, my phone, headphones and phone charger cable and portable battery pack.
I set my bag in my closet before heading out, patting the doors as I close them, making sure they are locked before heading back up to the flat, quietly re-entering and returning to the Doctors side.
He's still as asleep as he was earlier, I quietly put my headphones in and turn on some music from Spotify, glad I had this playlist downloaded, I click on Standstill by Poets of the Fall.
I sit down on the ground with my back to the bed, leaning my head back and closing my eyes tiredly, even with all of the sleep I've gotten I've felt so tired lately, but I try to shrug it off, instead opening my phone and starting to look through the photos as I had no services, a deep blush plastering my face as I realize I still had a ton of pictures of the Doctor in the photos, of most of his incarnations, many of them being memes or jokes from the show.
I giggle a little and glance up at the sleeping man behind me 'how is it I ended up here...? With him of all people...' I smile fondly at him and look back down at the photos, it was odd, these were pictures just of actors, but each one looked exactly like him, like all of him, I wonder how they got it so close...? Maybe it was all just a coincidence.
I shrug it off and move all of those photos to an album before closing my phone and closing my eyes again, resting and just listening to the music for a while, not registering anything outside my tiny little world for a while.
I look up when Jackie comes in, setting a cup of tea down on the bedside table for when the Doctor wakes up, I smile and thank her softly, turning down the volume of my music and removing one ear piece as I stand, knowing what's coming next, I smile as she bustles off still talking with her friends on the phone, I stretch a little and glance to the Doctor to see him open his mouth again the same golden energy expelling from him.
I smile softly and gently swish at it with my hand, it following my hand around and seeming to dance around my head before also disappearing out the window, I stick my phone into my pocket and lean down, softly kissing his forehead before I hear Rose sprint into the apartment with Mickey, I come to the doorway of the room as the Christmas tree starts to spin, music coming from it.
I run forward, grabbing Rose and Jackie and pulling them into the room as Mickey tries to fight it off with a chair "Mickey! Get your ass in here!" I yell at him as I grab the sonic from the Doctors coat at the end of his bed, Mickey and Rose moving the wardrobe in front of the door, trying to hold it there as the tree starts to eat away at the wood of it, I run to the Doctors side, placing his sonic in his hand.
I lean down over him and say into his ear softly, praying this worked like it did in the show "help me" I whisper and just as the wardrobe explodes, sending everyone away from it the Doctor sits up, pointing the sonic at it and turning it on, making the Christmas tree explode, I sigh in relief and relax a little.
"Remote control...but who's controlling it?" The Doctor asks as he jumps out of bed, pulling on a robe as he leaves the apartment quickly, I run after him with the others close behind me, he ties the ties as he walks across the balcony to stop, looking down at the street at the three robot Santas looking up at us, the closest holding a remote control.
I gently grip the back of the Doctors robe as he threateningly holds his sonic up at them showing he meant business, they step closer to each other before being teleported out of there.
"They've just gone! What kind of rubbish were they?" Mickey asks, laughing a little "I mean, no offense, but they're not much cop if a sonic screwdrivers gonna scare them off" he continues, looking up at the sky.
"Pilot fish" the Doctor says, looking up as well, I tighten my hold on his robe worriedly.
"What?" Asks Rose.
"They were just pilot fish" he says again before tensing and gasping in pain as he falls back, I quickly catch him, holding him up against the wall gently as he growls in pain, I wince, my heart racing as I didn't know what I could really do to help with the pain.
He grips onto my shoulder tightly, so tight his knuckles turn white but I don't even really notice the pain as I wrap my arm around his waist worriedly.
"You woke me up too soon" he gasps out, hissing in pain, I nod sadly "I know, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do" I say softly, he nods shakily.
The others are kneeling around him worriedly and he looks up at them as he breaths heavily through clenched teeth "I'm still regenerating. I'm bursting with energy" he gasps out before he breaths out more of the energy.
I try to ignore it as it swirls around me once again, though the three humans stare in bewilderment and shock.
"You see? The pilot fish could smell it a million miles away. So they eliminate the defense, that's you lot, and they carry me off. They could run their batteries off me for a couple of years" he explains quickly before the pain sends him flying to the other wall of the balcony, I quickly follow, my heart racing painfully, seeing him in so much pain was awful, I mean it was bad watching the show, but now, now I could sense his pain, his nervousness.
"My head" he growls out, his face scrunched in pain, I carefully kneel down infront of him, knowing if I didn't Jackie would annoy him to no end, I gently cup his face softly, my hands shaking as I meet his eyes "I'm having a neural implosion" he shakily says through gritted teeth.
I nod shaking and he seems to zone out for a moment, the pain obviously making things worse, he growls out in pain and nearly flings himself to the other side of the walkway again but I keep him in place, my hands on his shoulders gently as he gasps for air "we haven't got much time. If they're pilot fish then..."he reaches into his pockets to look for something only to find an apple, he frowns a little in confusion as he looks down at it in his hand.
"Why is there an apple in my dressing gown?" He asks confused, I smile a little despite the circumstances.
"That's Howard, sorry" Jackie says quickly.
"He keeps apples in his dressing gown" he asks.
"He gets hungry" she explains.
"What, he gets hungry in his sleep?"
"Sometimes" she says before he gasps and slides down the wall in pain, groaning and grasping at my hand tightly, his whole body shaking now "the...the pilot fish...the pilot fish mean theres something...there's something...something is coming" he gets out, keeping his eyes locked with mine as he gripped onto me for dear life before he collapses to the floor, I quickly catch him so his head didn't hit, my whole body's shaking a little as I have them help me get him back inside.
This was so much scarier in person...him being in so much pain, looking into my eyes with such fears and pain, my heart was still racing even as I grabbed another rag and bowl of cold water, coming into the room and starting to cool him down again.
My hands shaking the whole time as I sit on the edge of the bed, gently dabbing at his forehead, I jump when someone clears their throat at the door, I look up to find Rose there, watching me worriedly.
"You ok?" She asks softly, I nod a little and look back down at him "yeah...I just...seeing him in so much pain" I shake my head a little "it was awful..." I murmur and shiver slightly, pressing my hand to his forehead to feel his temperature again worriedly.
She nods softly "but he's going to be ok, you told me so yourself, he will be, just as you said, he just needs rest" she tries to reassure me, I smile a little and look up at her "thanks Rose...really, I needed someone else here" I say softly before I see Mickey coming in through the front door holding his laptop, I quietly stand as he goes to set up the computer.
I set the rag aside and gently kiss his forehead before following her out, into the living room quietly.
"How is he?" Jackie asks, I smile a little at her and lean against the wall.
"he's hotter than he should be, and he only has one heart beating...but he will be ok" I say softly, she nods softly before noticing the clock "its midnight... Christmas Day" she says softly, handing Rose a mug of tea.
I rub my hand down my face, trying to stay calm, I know he woke up in the show, but things are already slightly changed now, tiny details but it was enough to have me worried about him.
I tune out the tv and walk up behind Mickey as he looks up about Pilot fish, I smile a little.
"Pilot fish are small fish who follow sharks around, they are scavengers, harmless but they follow around much bigger fish to scavenger from, meaning sharks" I say, him and Rose look at me curiously "how did you know that?" Rose asks.
I shrug a little and smile softly "I have a lot of weird useless knowledge up here" I say, gently taping the side of my skull "mostly just random facts, but sometimes, like now, its useful" I say softly before sighing.
"But that means that what ever those pilot fish were here for outside, it means something much bigger is coming, and its close by, pilot fish don't swim far from the main danger" I say, glancing over as the tv starts to show the face of the Sycorax, the other three get closer to look at it before it growls loudly at the probe, making them all jump and scream a bit.
I frown, I never liked the Sycorax, yes they were really cool looking, but the leader had no honor what so ever.
I shake my head and go back to the Doctors side, worried as I could still see sweat glistening on his skin, I frown and get a new bowl of cold water and continue to try and cool him down, hearing the others talking quietly, Mickey easily hacks into the military websites as they watch everything.
I just ignore it all, knowing what was to happen, and what would happen in a few hours, I tiredly sit in the chair next to his bed and watch him sadly for some time before he starts to shiver and flinch every now and then, breathing and gasping heavily, I frown sadly and go back to trying to cool him down, I get an idea and open the connection, shivering and gasping at the flood of pain and fear from him.
I sigh softly but he seems to relax a little at that, I smile a little, gently taking his hand in mine as I sit on the edge of the bed, glancing toward the door "your going to be ok, you aren't in danger now, your safe" I say softly, sending him reassurance and warmth, his hand seems to tighten in mine just slightly, I smile a little and wipe the tears from my eyes quietly.
"But its gonna be hectic when you wake up" I say softly before leaning back against the headboard and closing my eyes tiredly, not realizing I fell asleep until I start to hear people panicking outside, I sigh tiredly, knowing they would all be alright, but Rose and Mickey go outside to figure out what's happening, I stand and stretch, gently setting the Doctors hand down and grabbing his sonic, putting it into my pocket and pulling on my coat.
Rose and Mickey return as I'm getting ready, quietly putting my phone and headphones into my pocket before I move between the Doctor and the window, only moments before the glass everywhere shatters, sending glass flying around, I cover him quickly as the glass sprays us, thankfully only leaving a few scrapes along the back of my neck.
But once it's finished I brush the glass off him gently, its not long after that the others sprint into the room, I nod to Rose before she can even speak "help me with him Mickey. Rose, Jackie, grab food" I say seriously before Mickey helps me as we pick up the Doctor carefully and make our way outside, down the stairs and into the Tardis, we set the Doctor down and I gently lay his head down.
I ignore the others as they bicker among themselves, I sit down and gently run my fingers through his hair softly, smiling a little before looking up as Jackie runs out to grab the rest of the food, I sigh softly and wince as I hear them flick a switch, I shake my head and stand.
"Now you've done it" I murmur and move around the console, gently patting it before glancing toward the door nervously, knowing now we were on the Sycorax ship.
"I'd better give her a hand. It might start raining missiles out there" Rose says, getting up.
I move to stop her but I'm too late, I frown before quickly following her out, knowing I had to do something, I couldn't let Rose get us into more trouble, even if she didnt mean to.
I'm almost instantly grabbed, not giving me time to close the door as Rose screams, I thrash against their hold and glare up at them, Mickey runs out and we both shout for him to close the door, he does so before he too was grabbed.
I glare up at the Sycorax leader as Rose is reunited with Harriet Jones.
I shove the hands off me as we are shoved into a small group in front of the Tardis.
The Sycorax leader walks down the dirt ramp toward us, pointing at me and Rose, speaking angrily in Sycoraxic, I know he wasn't conscious yet but it was still unnerving to not hear English from an alien.
The man next to Harriet reads off the translation "the yellow girl and the silver haired one, they have the clever blue box. Therefore they speak for the planet" Harriet try's to say no but I hold my arm up, hiding the shaking of my hands as I glance to Rose "let me handle this" I say seriously, she nods hesitantly before I turn back to face the Sycorax again, stepping a few feet forward.
"I speak for the planet" I announce loudly as I glance around at the other creatures before facing the leader again with an angry glare.
"I speak for the planet! And I am ordering you to leave earth alone, by Article 57 of the Shadow Proclamation. This is a fully established level five planet" I snap, causing the aliens to go silent and stop their jeering as the leader glares at me.
"I order you to leave this planet in peace, it is not under your laws, it is not your planet, and it is defended! It always has been and it always will be" I snap, he squares his shoulders as his glare never leaves me.
The man behind me translates again as the leader speaks again aggressively.
"You are very funny, your words mean nothing. We are not going to destroy the planet, therefore that rule does not apply here" I roll my eyes.
"You do realize that killing 1 3rd of the entire earths population would utterly destroy the world right? There are people in power on those roof tops, you would destroy the worlds systems, its defenses and its peoples, you are simple slave traders, you do not have authority here, and I'm actually very tempted to call the Shadow Proclamation myself" I say and he hisses at me angrily.
"You do not have the power, you are a mere human, you are but a child to us" the man reads, I place my hands on my hips as he paces around me talking before stopping in front of me again.
"If you are the best your planet can offer..." the man reads off before I feel a wave of emotions hit me and my heart rate speeds up, just as the Sycorax in front of me starts to speak in English.
I smile widely as he continues "then your world will be gutted, and your people enslaved" he snarls.
"Hold on, that's english" the man says behind me in shock "hes talking english" Harriet confirms, Rose looking to them then back to me and the leader with wide eyes "your talking english" she says.
"I would never dirty my tongue with your primitive bile!" The leader growls out angrily.
I'm just smirking now at him as the others behind me realize what was happening "sorry big bad monster man, but I'm not the best it can offer" I say and look towards the Tardis, my heart racing faster as only moments later the doors are opened and the Doctor in his pajamas steps out, smirking.
"Did you miss me?" He asks.
