I whimper softly as I slowly wake up, my head pounding painfully, I try to open my eyes but even in the dim light hurt my eyes, I close them and rub them a bit before trying again, the pain is less intense this time and I glance around, seeing I'm in bed, safe in the Tardis, I sigh softly in relief as I start to remember what happened last night, remembering the pain and fear, I shiver a little and sit up.

My whole body ached as I look around again, finding myself alone in our room 'the Doctor must be taking care of the Family while I slept...' I swing my legs over the edge of the bed before slowly standing, I hold onto the wall as I get extremely dizzy, nearly falling but I manage to stay up, slowly making my way to the door only to find it locked, I frown worriedly and look to the ceiling.

"Hey Sexy? Can you open the door?" I ask only to receive a quick short low hum, which I take to mean no, I sigh softly "alright, then can you at least tell the Doctor I'm awake?" This time I get a happier warm hum, I smile a little and shake my head before slowly returning to bed tired.

I flop onto the bed face first and grab the Doctor's pillow, burying my face into it and sighing softly, listening for any footsteps and its not too long before I hear him racing to the door, I hear it unlock but I stay where I am as he peaks his head in.

"Rose...?" He calls softly, I smile a little and raise my head out of the pillow to look at him, he chuckles a little and comes inside, closing the door behind himself and coming to sit on the bed beside me.

"How are you feeling?" He asks softly, gently rubbing my back, I lean into his touch and shrug my shoulders a little "tired and sore all over, but otherwise ok, what happened?" I ask softly, he sighs a little.

"Your body had a build up of time energy and couldn't hold it so...it kind of exploded" he says softly, I look up at him confused.

"Time energy? Why would I have time energy in me?" I ask confused, he shakes his head softly.

"We haven't figured that out yet, but every once in a while your body builds up too much and has to release it somehow, so its very much like my regeneration where the energy sort of explodes from your body" he explains softly, frowning more.

"Is Martha ok? And nurse redfern and Tim?" I ask worriedly, he smiles softly and nods.

"Don't worry, they are all ok, Martha is very worried about you though, she's been coming to check on you every hour or so" he says softly, I smile a little.

"Martha, she's always caring" I murmur softly and he nods softly, continuing to rub my sore back as he speaks again.

"She does, but you should be feeling much more back to normal soon, your body released the energy so you shouldn't have any problems for a while, that's why you were so tired back with John" he says, I nod and frown a little, looking up to him.

"Is...is he in there?" I ask softly, he nods "somewhere, I have his memories, and feelings and everything" he explains, I nod and relax a little more, smiling gently up at him.

"Good" I reach up and take his hand in mine gently, rolling onto my side and gently kissing his hand "even as I was, I enjoyed spending time with you, even if it wasn't fully you" I say softly, he chuckles a bit and gently squeezes my hand.

"I'm glad you did, and I'm very glad your alright, he was extremely worried about your health" he says softly, I nod softly "I know, you'd check on me daily, which in all honesty surprised me, I didn't think he'd really care for me" I say softly, he frowns softly at that.

"Why would you think that? I made sure he'd have feelings for you" he says, I look up at him surprised.

"You did? But you didn't even know if I'd be there, and he didn't know who I was" I say curiously, he smiles softly.

"It was simple, simply leave my feelings for you in him, even if he didn't remember you, he still loved you just as I do" he says, gently squeezing my hand again.

I smile softly and nod a little before frowning sadly as I can hear the music starting, he sigh softly "Music?" He asks, I nod sadly and sit up, gently hugging onto him tightly, he wraps his arms around me protectively, pulling me into his lap.

"You be careful alright? I don't want you to do anything stupid" he says seriously, I giggle a little and kiss his cheek gently.

"Since when have I ever done anything stupid?" I joke, he chuckles and looks down at me.

"Seriously Rose, please be careful, I think I know where your headed, so be careful" he says, I nod and gently pull him down into a kiss as the music gets louder, I didn't want to go, I just wanted to rest but it seems the universe had different plans, I pull away and smile up at him gently.

"You be careful too, and tell Martha I'm alright for me, and that I'll miss her" I tell him, he smiles sadly and nods.

"I will" he says and gently kisses me once more before everything around me goes dark, all sensations of touch gone besides the solid ground beneath me, I sigh sadly and rub my eyes before I pull up the sleeve of my dress and wool coat to see my left arm, gently taking off the bandage that hid the tattoos.

A new tattoo the shape of the Doctors pocket watch appearing, the symbols on the front also tattooed onto it, and the watch hands had changed, the hour hand now on two, and the minute hand on one, I sigh and brush my fingers over the still slightly burning tattoos.

'Where will I end up now?' I wonder and close off the connection, I still feel exhausted and I didn't want to have to run around at all but it seems I'd have little choice.

I close my eyes and after a few minutes I can hear wind in the leaves of trees and a few birds chirping, I open my eyes and smile softly finding myself in a forest, relaxing as I start off in one direction, enjoying the nature as I walk, wondering where and when I am.

It's not long before I hear talking, I pause on the edge of the woods, looking out to a small clearing where two men with guns are standing around a large blue police box, I smile widely as I realize where I am, I step out of the woods and walk towards the men, one notices me first and he raises his gun quickly before he seems to realize I'm not a threat and he lowers it, the other soldier looks over curiously as I come closer.

I smile softly as the first soldier comes closer to me "what are you doing out here miss? Didn't you see the woods have been closed off?" He asks, I nod quickly.

"Yes I know, I just arrived, I'm not a threat" I say quickly "but I know why you're here and I'd like to be taken to the man found here infront of this box, I know who he is, and I'd also like to speak with Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, I'm hopefully a friend of his, but I am a friend of UNIT" I explain, the men stare in shock before the second quickly calls his bosses.

He comes back and says a car is on the way to pick me up, I thank them, gently patting the Tardis as I pass her before I'm picked up and quickly driven to the hospital nearby, I thank the soldier as I hop out, quickly being followed in by another soldier, once inside I smile as I see Captain Munro waiting for me.

"Good day ma'am, my men called ahead and informed me you know the man who was unconscious in the woods?" He asks, I nod softly.

"I do, may I see him?" I ask softly, he pauses a moment as he looks me up and down.

"I'm afraid not yet, the Brigadier wishes to meet with you before you see him" he explains, I nod and smile more.

"Very well, oh, and I'd be careful, the janitor has already called the press" I say as I walk past the captain to sit in the waiting rooms chair, he watches after me in confusion but I quietly sit and glance around, and not 5 minutes later the place is flooded with the press, I stay in my seat, watching the captain as he refuses to tell the group of reporters anything of use.

I smirk a little as I see the Brigadiers car pull up outside, I stand to wait as both he and Miss Shaw enter the room, the press turning and bombarding them with questions, I smile more seeing how smug the Brigadier looks as he tells them nothing, poor Miss Shaw looks done with the situation already.

I move to stand next to the captain as they talk before they quickly make their way over, I open the door and try to stay out of the sight of the cameras, realizing it would be a bit strange to be caught incase someone saw the videos or pictures someday in the future, time travel and all that.

The four of us quickly get into the hallway and the doors close behind us, I sigh in relief from behind them and the Brigadier pauses to turn to me and smiles, I smile back up at him.

"Hello Brigadier" I greet happily.

"Miss Rose, what a pleasure, I'm assuming you're here because of the Doctor?" He asks, I nod softly "why else would I be here?" I smile, he nods.

"Well then, let us go and see him" he says before he and the captain lead the way, I smile over at Miss Shaw, offering her my hand which she shakes, eyeing me oddly.

"So you know this Doctor too? You don't seem the type to believe in fairy tails" she comments.

I giggle a little and shake my head "My dear Liz, you have no idea how much stranger real life is to fiction" I laugh softly, she stares in shock.

"How do you know my name?" She asks softly.

I smile gently "because as I've said, truth is stranger than fiction, you wouldn't believe me if I told you" I say.

She shakes her head softly "someone must have told you" she tries to brush it off, I smile gently and shake my head but keep quiet as the men talk quickly as we walk down the hallway and into the Doctors room.

I pause in the doorway for a moment, a bit nervous, I hadn't met this Doctor yet, and I didn't know if we were even friends at this point.

"Dr Henderson, this is Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and, er..." Munro pauses and looks to me and Liz.

"Elizabeth Shaw" she says.

"Rose" I say simply, all but the Brigadier give me an odd look but I stay quiet, glancing past them at the man asleep on the bed.

"Well, how's your patient, doctor?" Asks Brigadier "can we see him?"

"Well, you can see him, certainly. He's not making much sense yet" the doctor explains, I nod a little and smile more.

"He doesn't make all that much sense normally" I mutter softly to myself, Liz looks to me confused but I just shrug for now.

"What, still unconscious, eh?" Asks Alistair.

"Most of the time. He has brief moments of consciousness and then slips back again" the man explains.

"What's actually wrong with him?" Asks Liz.

"I can't say. Never had a patient quite like him before" the doctor says, looking back at the sleeping man.

"What do you mean?" Asks Liz, I could tell she was trying to figure out the truth, see if this was all some strange lie or something.

"Well, his whole cardiovascular system is quite unlike anything Ive ever seen. And I'm told his blood can't be identified" he says, moving to sit back at the desk in the room, I nod a little and walk past the others to the right side of the Doctors bed, smiling a little as I see him resting, obviously exhausted.

The others follow as Alistair says "splendid. That sounds like the Doctor"

Alistair gently rolls the Doctor onto his side to see his face and he stops, confused, he looks away as if thinking for a moment.

"Do you know him?" Asks Liz.

"What...? No, I thought I might do, but he's a complete stranger. Ive never seen him before in my life" he responds, looking to Liz then back down as the Doctor starts to stir, I smile gently, I loved this part in the show.

The Doctor opens his eyes tiredly and glances up at the voices before he sees Alistair and his eyes widen a little in recognition "Lethbridge-Stewart? My dear fellow, how nice to see you again" he says softly, I smile a little as I stay a few feet back from the bed, staying quiet so they can speak, the human doctor to my left looking over curiously.

"He knows you, sir" Munro says.

"But he can't do" Alistair insists before leans down over the Doctor, holding himself up with his hands on the edge of the bed "look here, can you hear me? Who are you?" He demands.

"Don't you recognize me?" The Doctor asks confused.

"I'm positive we've never met before" Alistair insists again, I smile and shake my head a little, Liz looks to me confused but I keep my eyes on them.

"Oh, dear. Oh, I...I can't have changed that much, surely? Oh, I must see what they've done to me. Can I borrow...can I borrow a mirror, please?" He asks tiredly, I smile softly as Liz digs one out from her purse quickly and hands it to him, he takes it, thanking her softly before looking at himself in the mirror.

He raises his head a bit and looks shocked for a moment before disappointment takes over "oh, no!...oh no" he sighs and looks again "that's not me at all! Huh, no wonder you didn't recognize me" he says in amusement "ha, oh, that face" he murmurs, poking and prodding at his face before moaning about his hair as well, then he starts to make different silly faces into the mirror.

"Oh, I don't know" he then smiles a little, causing me to smile more as well "I think its rather distinctive" he says "Don't you think? Hmm?" He looks up to Alistair who doesnt seem a bit amused, I snicker a little and both men look to me, the Doctors eyes widening slightly, I smile down at him softly.

"Hello Doctor" I greet softly, he smiles more and reaches out, I gently take his hand softly.

"My dear Rose, how is it you came to be here?" He asks softly, I can see him fighting his tiredness.

"I appeared not long ago in the woods near the Tardis, its alright, you can get some sleep now" I say softly, he looks to my eyes, I can see the nervousness and worry in his eyes but I gently squeeze his hand and smile down to him gently "rest, you'll be right as rain soon enough" I say softly and he finally nods and starts to drift off again, keeping a tight hold on my hand, I sigh softly and shake my head as Alistair tries to wake him again.

"That wont work Brigadier, he's too exhausted" I say softly, the doctor comes over "I think that's quite enough for the moment. His mind's obviously disturbed. And, er, anyway, I'm afraid he's out again" he explains.

"Extraordinary business. Munro, I want this man brought to London HQ" Alistair says seriously before looking to the doctor next to me as he looks down at the sleeping man on the bed "When will he be fit to travel?"

"Difficult to say" the man replies.

Alistair nods a little "I see. Well, as soon as possible, Munro" he orders as he and Munro step away from the bed, I look to Liz and smile softly as she gently takes back her mirror from the Doctors hand.

"is there another way out of here? I want to avoid the press if possible" Alistair asks the doctor, he nods "this way" he says, but Alistair stops as I'm look down at the Doctor.

"Rose, I'd like you to come with me and help us if you can" he says, I look up curiously "me?"

He nods "yes, if you are feeling up to it" he says, I nod softly "I'll be right out" I reply and he nods before they leave the room, I smile and look down at the Doctor as he continues to pretend to be out, I lean down and softly kiss his forehead, laying his hand on the bed beside him "Don't do anything I wouldn't" I smile a little as he opens one eye to look up at me, smiling back at me a little before closing his eyes again.

I quickly go after the others, sneaking out the back with them and hopping into the car after them, thanking Alistair for waiting before we are driven off to the UNIT HQ.

I then quietly follow Alistair and Liz as he talks with her about what she'd need for her lab before he is called back as the Doctor had been hit with a bullet, I knew it wasnt bad damage but it still worried me so I went with him, once there I move to the Doctor's side and gently take his hand as the human doctor and Alistair talk, the doctor explaining what the paper he handed to him meant.

I smile a little as the doctor says "no, he's in such a deep coma that I'd say it was...self induced" I nod a little to myself and lean down over the Doctor, looking closer at the burn from the bullet, thankfully it wasn't bad, the Brigadier soon makes his way towards the door but the doctor stops him and holds up the Tardis key, saying how they found it in the Doctors hand.

I come over and gently take it, stowing it in my pocket before Alistair could take it, I smile up at the Brigadier as he gives me a cautious look.

"Don't worry, I have no intention of letting him leave, I simply don't want it to fall into someone else's hands, I trust you Brigadier but we must be cautious" I explain before we head back out to the car, he continues to try and convince me to give it to him before he's called to go and see the pieces they found of one of the meteorites, I wait in the car for him quietly, getting lost in thought.

We return to UNIT HQ and come into the makeshift lab set up for Liz, I stay near the door, quietly watching as they talk, smiling a little.

"Found out what its made of?" Alistair asks.

"No. But it isn't a meteorite" she says, gently placing a large beaker of a pink liquid into its place among the other lab equipment.

"You've established that much?" Alistair asks, walking over to her as she keeps her eyes on her work.

"Meteorites are the debris from comets. This has been manufactured" she says, placing a piece of the plastic casing into the same beaker.

"And it comes from space?" He asks.

"There are some faint traces of heat fusion. Well, its possible" she says, the Brigadier smirking a little.

"Still skeptical?" He asks her.

"Of course. I deal with facts, not science fiction ideas" she says and moves around the large table.

"Miss Shaw, I'm not a fool. I don't chase shadows" he says defensively, obviously a bit miffed she was being so stubborn, I can't help but smile a little more as he continues "what you don't understand is that there might...there is a remote possibility that, outside your cosy little world, other things could exist" he insists.

"No need to get tetchy" she says, I giggle a little and shake my head, crossing my arms comfortably as I watch them.

"Well, sometimes you can be very aggravating" he snaps, I have to cover my mouth to keep my laughter hidden and quiet as he storms away from her.

"Me? What about you? You really believe in a man who's helped to save the world twice? With the power to transform his physical appearance?"

He turns back to her, a little less irritated now as he watches her "I'm not sure yet. It may not be the same man" he says, I roll my eyes a little.

"An alien who travels through time and space in a police box?" She asks skeptically, I giggle again and come over to stand about two feet from the Brigadier, facing Liz as I smile at her softly.

"Liz, I have a question, would you believe me if I told you I am not human?" I ask and she scoffs, shaking her head.

"Of course you're human, you look just like us, as does that man" she insists, I smile gently and shake my head "I'm not, and nor is he, the Doctor is so much more" I say and she watches me skeptically.

"And how are you not human?" She asks, I pause and frown a little before sighing.

"In all honesty Liz, I do not know, all I know is every scan I've seen of myself recently has labeled me non-human, but, I do want to add, I'm not from this world, this universe" I say and smile a little as she stares at me like I'm insane.

"And how would you be from a different universe?" Again I sigh "we also haven't figured out that either, but in my universe none of this is real, there is no Unit, or aliens or anything of the sort" I say softly.

"However, since entering this world I have gained a sort of power if you will, some call me the Foreseer, as I have knowledge of the past, present and future, though not always fully correct, it usually works out to what I see" I say and she scoffs again.

"Now you must be making this up for a game" she says and looks to Alistair "how much are you both being paid for this?" She asks curiously, I smile gently.

"Nothing at all, its no prank, nor is it science fiction" I say and come to stand by Liz, facing her with my back to Alistair "I can tell you this, as soon as that blue police box is brought in, I will give Alistair the key, and he will want to open it but a man named Major General Scobie will arrive and speak with him before he can" I say softly so only she can hear, she shakes her head, smiling now.

"That is far too simple to achieve for a trick, try something else" she says defiantly, I nod and smile more.

"Alright, then soon the Doctor will be up and awake, he will arrive here soon and be dressed in a frilled white poets shirt, a dark blue velvet suit jacket, black slacks and dress shoes, with a black or dark blue cape with red inner lining, Alistair will be wondering how he found us, and the Doctor will show him a watch that can home in on the Tardis, the police box" I tell her softly, making sure Alistair wouldn't hear me.

She pauses and watches me but I just smile at her softly before Alistair is called away and they soon bring in the Tardis, setting her down in the lab before the other men leave, I smile and sit up on top of one of the tables on the side of the room that was not being used currently, my legs hanging down and swinging a bit under my dress.

Alistair naturally comes to ask for the key and I hand it to him before he turns back to the Tardis and watches her for a moment before Liz speaks up, obviously amused to see the phone box.

"Now, all you have to do is to borrow a key from the police" she says and turns back to her work, Alistair holds it up as he speaks.

"Ive got the key here. Rose took it from Henderson at the hospital after it was found in the Doctors hand" he says before the intercom buzzes and just as I said Major General Scobie had arrived, I hop off the desk, knowing I probably shouldn't seem too unprofessional in front of the man, knowing he was an important man in the government.

Scobie is soon shown in and he and Alistair talk before he is introduced to Liz, I smile softly as I watch them, knowing right now the Doctor was getting up and sneaking around the hospital right now, grabbing his outfit and taking a shower before he was going to steal the beautiful car out front in a good 10 minutes or so, I keep out of the way as Alistair continues to speak with Scobie.

I grab a book from a shelf off to the side and quietly sit to read while they talked and Liz worked, not wanting to get in the way of anyone, and not really wanting to speak with Scobie either so I keep myself busy, reading over the boring chemistry book, not really understanding a lot of it, I soon give up and wander over to the Tardis as Scobie soon leaves, I gently lay my hand on her and smile more feeling her hum against my hand.

I gently pat her as Alistair starts to speak with Liz again "well, at least he won't get very far" Alistair says about the Doctor escaping the hospital as someone had just called him about it.

"You mean, before your men shoot him again?" She asks and I can't help but snort in amusement, Alistair sends me a half hearted glare before saying "I don't find that funny"

"Without this machine, the Doctor's stuck. He can't leave earth" he says as he walks over, I nod and lean against the wall beside the Tardis.

"You were about to open it?" Liz asks, Alistair nods and pulls out the key "yes" he responds and she comes over curiously while I watch.

"I think you should" she comments "there might be a policeman locked inside" she snarks, I smirk and shake my head a little, he puts the key into the lock and tries to open it but the lock wouldn't budge "that's odd" he comments.

"Wrong key" Liz says snakily and I chuckle a little and shake my head again as Liz walks away, smirking, Alistair then looks to me and holds the key up.

"Well, you travel with the Doctor, perhaps you can get it open" he says, I smile softly and shake my head "I'm sorry Brigadier, but I will not open it, I do not think I even can at the moment" I lie easily, he looks at me suspiciously before putting the key into his pocket and going on to speak with Liz again, I return to the table in the corner of the room, sitting up on top of it comfortably as I watch everyone quietly, smiling more as I remember the Doctor should be just downstairs at the moment.

"Liz, its time" I say, smiling more as she looks over confused, seconds before the intercom rings, Alistair goes to it as the man on the other end explains the Doctor was here to see him.

"The Doctor?" He asks

"Yes, sir. He says you know him" the man on the other end explains.

"Show him up at once" Brigadier orders and Liz looks between him and me then back to him curiously, obviously wanting to know if I was right, I sit quietly as Alistair says "how the devil did he find this place?"

"Your mystery man with the place box?" She asks "yes" he replies before heading for the door, I smile wider as the Doctor enters the room, wearing exactly what I had described, I let my legs swing a little as I watch.

"Ah, there you are, my dear fellow" he greets Alistair cheerfully "I expect you're wondering how I found you here?"

Alistair nods "yes" he confirms, Liz glances to me as she was listening.

The Doctor pushes back his sleeve to show Alistair the watch "Fortunately, I had this with me, you see. It homes on the Tardis" he explains, I watch as Liz's eyes widen as she stares at me, I smile back at her gently before looking back as the Doctor turns and smiles as the Tardis comes into his view, he walks over to her happily "oh, there she is. How nice of you to look after her for me" he says.

"Do you happen to have got the key, by the way?" He asks and turns back to the Brigadier who comes up to stand next to him suspiciously.

"I do, but it doesn't work" he replies only for the Doctor to laugh, I smile more as I watch him happily, 3 had been my favorite, up there with 7 and 9.

"But it will for me" the Doctor says confidently.

"Not so fast. I have a lot of questions to ask you" Brigadier says quickly.

"My dear Brigadier, its no earthly good asking me a lot of questions. I've lost my memory, you see" he explains.

"How do I know that you're not an imposter" Alistair demands, and I smile more before hopping off the table, my heeled boots clunking on the floor as I come towards them.

"Because I know he's the real deal Brigadier" I say happily "I know his faces better than anyone I think" I say and the Doctor looks over before smiling widely and suddenly rushing forward, sweeping me up into a hug, I laugh and hug him back happily.

"My dear you look lovely today" he says happily, I smile wider as he puts me back on my feet.

"Thank you Doctor, you look dashing as always" I say happily, he smiles proudly and takes my hand, gently kissing it before he looks back to brigadier then he wanders over to the lab equipment, pulling up a mirror as he asks the man "what do you think of my new face, by the way? Hmm?" I follow him quietly, smiling at Liz as she watches curious and a bit shocked that what I had told her was right.

"Well, I wasn't too sure about it myself to begin with" the Doctor continues, looking at himself in the mirror "but it sort of grows on you" he says and starts moving his face around in the mirror.

"Very flexible, you know. Could be useful on the planet Delphon, where they communicate with their eyebrows" he says, I giggle a little behind him and he smirks at me in the mirror, wiggling his eyebrows around a bit before he turns to look around.

"Well, that's strange, how on earth did I remember that?" He asks, I shrug a little and smile softly.

The Brigadier sighs "alright, alright, if I accept that you are the Doctor there are still a lot of things..." he pauses as he realizes he didn't introduce Liz yet "Oh, by the way, this is Miss Shaw" he says, pointing toward her with his riding crop.

The Doctor smiles and wiggles his eyebrows at her, I have to hold back giggles at how funny it looked.

"That's delphon for 'how do you do?' " he says before they both chuckle a bit and he walks over to her, shaking her hand "delighted, Miss Shaw, delighted" he says happily, I smile softly and lean against the table a few feet away.

"What are you a doctor of, by the way?" She asks curiously, though still skeptical.

"Practically everything, my dear" he says, I smirk a little and look to her past him.

"And nothing all at once" I tease and he sends me a teasing glare before chuckling and turning back to her "she enjoys messing with me, best to ignore her" he says and they both laugh a little, I smile softly and shake my head, enjoying the joking atmosphere.

But the Brigadier walks over now "from what we can gather, you arrived last night in the middle of a shower of meteorites" the Doctor had leaned on his arms on the table as he looked over the lab equipment before standing and facing Alastair.

"Did I really? How terribly exciting" he comments before looking back to the equipment.

"Well, objects from space at any rate" Alastair says "you must realize that I can't let you go until I'm sure there's no connection..."

The Doctor stands up straight again and interrupts the man "But I've no recollection of last night. That's most unfair. How could I...what on earth are these?" He asks, quickly getting side tracked, I smile softly as I watch him fondly, I still couldn't really fully believe I was really here, in this universe with a man who less than a year ago I would have bet my life on being fictional...yet here I am, standing the UNIT HQ with the Doctor, Alastair and Liz...

I shake my head a little and quietly wander to the Tardis as I think, drowning out everything else they were saying 'how could I have possibly ended up here? I need to find that out, its obvious I must be here for some reason, the tattoos prove that much, but why? Could someone have forced me to this world? I had just moved to London, what about a month before all of this started? Nothing changed though, nothing but...but Jack...could he have somehow brought me here? Could he be the one that somehow jumped between worlds? I wouldn't be too surprised'

I gently lay my hand on the outside of the Tardis as I think, smiling a little at the warm hum beneath my fingers, I gently pat the wood before I glance over as Alastair heads off to probably get some work done on finding more of the plastic pods.

I stare off after him quietly, remembering that man was probably sneaking into the plastics factory now, I gasp and jump as a hand is laid on my lower back, I turn quickly but relax as the Doctor smiles down at me softly.

"I didn't mean to frighten you, my dear" he says softly, I smile a little and shake my head.

"It's alright, I was just thinking and didn't hear you come over" I say softly "what can I help you with?" I ask softly.

"I was wondering if you still had a key to the Tardis" he says, I giggle a little and shake my head.

"Doctor, you cannot just run off right now, I know you feel claustrophobic here, but they need your help" I say softly, he scoffs a little and lowers his hand, crossing his arms.

"Come come my dear, you know as well as I do, I cannot be stuck in one place" he grumbles, I smile softly and turn fully to face him, leaning against the Tardis.

"I know, but I also know the Brigadier needs your help, and I know you will start to have fun soon anyways, there is still much to be done on earth, even in this time period, perhaps you should find a car and then you can explore the whole of England if you so wish" I say softly.

He seems to relax just the slightest bit before smiling a little down at me "how it is you manage to make this sound a little less boring than it is?" He asks, I smile more.

"Because I know boring, this won't be boring, even if it is right now, trust me" I say softly.

"Oh I do my dear, you've earned my trust ten fold" he comments before taking off his cape and hanging it up, I smile softly as I watch him going back to work with Liz, I watch them quietly for a while before heading outside to go for a walk, knowing I couldn't really do anything to help them in the lab, and the weather was rather nice today, a bit windy but my coat kept me from getting chills.

I wander around outside for a while before a soldier comes to get me "I'm sorry Miss Rose, but the Brigadier has asked for your assistance" he says, I nod softly and follow him inside quickly and to the Brigadier's office, I'm let in and I smile a little seeing Alistair sitting behind his desk, he stands and comes around, smiling softly.

"I'm terribly sorry to bother you, but we have word of a man talking of creatures attacking him, and I'd like your input when he gets here" he explains, I look up at him surprised.

"Me? Why my input?" I ask curiously, he chuckles a bit.

"Because you travel with the Doctor, you know much more of aliens than I do, than many of us do, and I'd like your advice and input on what he will have to say" he says, I nod.

"Alright, I think I can manage that" I smile softly before we both sit as the poor traumatized man is brought in, I sit in a chair near the door, facing both men, watching as the Brigadier begins questioning him about what he saw.

"Well, the face was smooth, shiny. It was plastic! Made in the factory" Ransome explains, staring off into space as he does so, obviously still really freaked out, I nod softly, my hands in my lap as I watch him.

"Why do you say that?" Asks Alistair, watching the man from behind his desk

"Well, just before this...this thing came after me, I passed a while line of them. They were all exactly the same" Ransome explains more, Alistair stands and walks to come around his desk "it's quite a story, Mr Ransome"

But the door opens behind me and I look up to see Liz, I sigh softly, knowing what she was here for and knowing I'd have to tell him off once I finished in here.

Alistair turns to her "yes?"

"Can I have a word with you Brigadier?" She asks softly.

"Not now, I'm busy" he responds.

"This is rather important. You see, the Doctor thinks..." but he interrupts her "Miss Shaw, your work in this laboratory is part of one big exercise. You'll have to be patient" he says before turning back to Randsome, sitting on the edge of his desk, I keep my eyes on Liz as she quietly walks to his desk, waiting a moment as she looks down at his desk, to see the key there, she glances up to him then moves to grab it.

I stay silent as I watch her but as she turns she meets my gaze, I shake my head a little but she ignores me and quietly leaves, I sigh quietly before focusing back on the men in front of me for the moment.

"Not loud, but it was more like the sort of 'whoosh' that a rocket makes" Randsome explains the shot that was fired at him.

"And this didn't attract anybody's attention?" Alistair asks, crossing his arms a little as he listens, sounding a little disbelieving.

"Well, I didn't see a living soul in that part of the factory. They seem to have sacked all the workers. It's completely automated now"

"How long have you been away in America, Mr Randsome?" The Brigadier asks.

"Uh, six months" he says, watching as the other man walks around behind him and sits back down in his chair behind the desk.

"None of this was in evidence before you left? New production lines, changing over to automation? Not steps that occur overnight, are they?" He asks.

Randsome starts to get a bit worked up as he replies "I agree with you, sir, but it's happened!" He says, I sit up a little and smile softly at him.

"Alright Mr Randsome, I believe you, the Brigadier here is simply wanting to make sure this is no hoax" I explain, he looks over at me curiously.

"What is your job here? Surely if you were a secretary you'd be writing this all down" Randsome says a bit confused, I pause at that.

"You could say I am a consultant of UNIT, a sort of...specialist in the unknown and undocumented" I say, seeing the Brigadier smile a little out of the corner of my eye before he glances down to see the key gone.

"The key..." he murmurs, I sigh softly and nod, standing and smiling at Randsome "don't worry, me and my friend, as well as UNIT will sort this all out, now you must excuse us for a moment" I say and the Brigadier stands as well before we head to the lab quickly.

"You saw her take it didn't you?" He asks as we walk, I nod softly "and you didn't stop her?"

I shake my head "I was sort of hoping he would think better of it" I say and sigh.

We get there just as the door into the Tardis closes, Liz is leaning against the Tardis and not looking at us.

"Miss Shaw, where's that key?" Alistair asks seriously, standing near the doorway as he watches her, I cross my arms and watch the door sadly, though I wasn't really surprised.

Liz stays silent as Alistair walks up to stand beside her, I stay near the door. "You've given it to him" he states.

"He needed some equipment" she retorts.

"Equipment? I had no idea you could be so gullible. That's just an excuse. We shan't see him again" he says, looking up at the box as she retorts.

"Oh? what do you mean?" Just as the sounds of the Tardis taking off start, though the sound was off, stuttering and warbled a little.

"Listen. He's going" he says as she turns to look up at it, but the box doesn't disappear, more so just stutters a bit again before the sound stops with an odd crashing sound, then the door opens and smoke and steam come billowing out, followed by an abashed looking Doctor, coughing a bit as he tries to come up with a lie.

"Just testing" he comments, trying to play it all off, I shake my head softly "I wanted to see if the controls..." but Liz interrupts him.

"Doctor, you tricked me" she states a bit angrily, he gives up and coughs a bit again and steps all the way out, closing the door behind him as he nods.

"Yes...the temptation was too strong, my dear" he confesses, walking past them toward the equipment on the tables, obviously not seeing me yet.

"It's just that I couldn't bear the thought of being tied to one planet and one time" he says and sits on a stool, staring down ashamed "I'm sorry. It won't happen again" he says, picking at his fingers in his lap as he looked like a school boy who's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Alistair walks to stand in front of him "It won't. Give me the key, Doctor" he says holding his hand out for it, the Doctor looks up at him.

"Must I? Well, the Tardis no longer works, as you saw" he says, glancing between him and his hand.

"Well, will you give me your word not to try and escape again?"

"I couldn't escape now if I wanted to. They've trapped me here" he says grumpily, sulking now.

"Who have?" Asks Liz curiously.

"That mean, despicable, underhanded lot!" He says, standing and walking away from them, his back to us now as he leans his arms on the lab table.

"They've changed the dematerialisation code"

Alistair looks confused at that "the what?" He asks, his hands resting folded behind his back.

"The demater...oh it doesn't matter, you wouldn't understand anyway" the Doctor says dismissively.

I sigh softly as Alistair walks over to stand next to him "Well, there's a great deal that I don't understand. But one thing I did understand, Doctor, was that you promised your help"

"Yes, well, I've tried to help you the best way I can, but I need more evidence, I need more to go on" he explains grumpily.

The Brigadier says he can help with that and goes back to speak with Randsome and some others, I nod to him as he passes me, the Doctor still had his back to the room and I glance to Liz, walking over to her "can I speak with him in private?" I ask her softly, she pauses before nodding and leaving the room.

I pause as I look back to him, sighing again "Didn't I tell you you needed to stay and help?" I ask softly, he lowers his head a little, back still to me.

"How long have you been here?" He asks, I frown a little.

"I came in with Brigadier" I say softly "and it seems you were going to leave me here as well" I comment, a little grumpy and hurt at that, his shoulders tense a little.

"Rose...you know I cannot stand this being stuck in one place" he says, turning to face me finally, looking ashamed but also a little annoyed.

"You of all people should know that" he says, I nod softly.

"I know it very well, but I also know they need your help here, and you promised your help, and I also know you aren't always the best at controlling the Tardis, what would have happened if you weren't able to return? I'd be trapped here alone, and your friends could be hurt if this is a bigger problem than you think it is" I say softly, trying to keep the hurt at bay, I know it was still early in his timeline, but it seems we are still good friends at this point, yet he would still just fly off without me.

I cross my arms a little as I watch him, he opens his mouth to say something but seems to think better of it and frowns a little as he watches me.

"I would have returned for you, you know that" he says, I shake my head a little.

"As I said, you probably wouldn't be able to get back" I sigh softly "I'm going to go get changed, please...just stay and help them" I say softly, not wanting to fight right now so I quickly head inside the Tardis, knowing he was going to continue to argue if I stayed.

I gently pat the console as I pass it before finding my room tiredly, rubbing my eyes a little to wipe away the tears there before I take off my coat and gently lay it on the bed, then I grab some clean clothes, a black shirt, jeans, a grey sweater and my black boots.

I go into the bathroom and set the clothes onto the counter, sighing and looking at myself in the mirror, taking out my messy braids from my still silver hair, I gently touch the roots of the hair, just to see if it felt different but it feels the same, the only change seems to be that my hair was permanently silver, I shake my head a little and take off my clothes from my time with John and Martha before I hop into the shower, needing a place to calm down and relax a little for a while.

After a good half hour I finally get out, drying off and pulling on my clean clothes, I toss the dirty clothes into a clothes hamper and start to towel dry my hair as I step out into my room, sighing softly, wishing I could just lay down and get some sleep, but too much was gonna happen.

I go to the coat on my bed, wrapping my hair with the towel before going through the coats pockets, pulling everything out, my drawing things, my meds and a few random things then I pull out Johns journal.

I frown softly and hesitate, wanting so badly to look through it, but I stop myself, knowing it would have spoilers so I gently set it on a shelf of the bookshelf next to my bed, smiling a little as I look it over before I put away the rest of my things and hang up my coat in the closet.

I then flop tiredly onto the bed, staring up at the ceiling "Do I have to go and join in on this adventure...? I just wanna sleep" I grumble, covering my eyes with my arm.

I feel the warm almost humorous hum from the ship under me and I groan "It's not funny...he's...not exactly the best at thinking things through right now, I don't want to fight with him over it right now, I don't have the energy to...I mean I could just speed this up and stop the bad guys right now...maybe then I could sleep" I mumble, only to get a warning buzzing from her.

I sigh "ok, ok I wont...but I don't want to fight anymore..." I grumble before theres a loud knocking on my door, I stiffen and sit up quickly, my heart suddenly racing, I take a steadying breath before standing and moving to the door, I hesitate before slowly opening it, looking up to see the Doctor, standing there looking a bit nervous.

"Rose...um" he clears his throat a bit "I'm sorry for earlier, I was thinking only of myself, and that was selfish" he says softly, I stare at him a little surprised, I hadn't expected that...

"It's...you are forgiven, but...please don't do it again...I don't really have any way of surviving without you around" I smile a little as he seems to relax and smiles back, nodding softly.

"Of course, I wont let it happen again, oh! I also came to ask if you'd accompany me...us to see a man who may have found one of those meteorites" he says hopefully, I sigh before smiling a little.

"I suppose I have nothing else to do but sleep, and that won't help anything, so yes, give me just a few minutes and I'll be out" I say and he nods, smiling more before he quickly heads back toward the console room, I watch after him a little sadly before closing the door and taking the towel off my hair.

'I wish I could open the connection...though that may freak him out, what would it do if his side had never been opened...? Would it force his mind to connect to mine? Best not to try it, just in case'

I finish drying my hair before pulling my boots on quickly, then I rush into the closet and look around, soon finding a long dark grey coat with a deep red lining inside, I smile a little as it reminded me of this Doctors outfits as well as 12s.

I pull it on and head back out to my room, glancing around for anything I should take, I see my backpack on the end of the bed and I come over, looking through it, I grab a pen, my phone, my pill bottle, unsure how late we'd be out, my wallet and a small drawing book, I fit it all into the larger on the inside pockets in my coat, I smile more seeing them before I look up to the ceiling.

"Thank you for the amazing pockets!" I say happily, earning me a warm hum before I grab a few hair ties, braiding my hair up into a few large braids going from my forehead down the back of my head, really enjoying the silver look now.

I make sure I have everything before I leave my room and head off, patting the console as I pass her before stepping outside, finding the Doctor waiting near the doors with his cape back on, he looks up when I close the Tardis door behind me.

He smiles softly and offers me his hand "shall we join the others? They have already gone down to the car" he says, I smile softly and nod, gently taking his hand before we head down quickly, my heart racing and butterflies in my stomach as I glance to him every now and then as we walk, I hadn't expected him to want to hold my hand, though I suppose it made sense, I probably grab his hand way too much and he's just become used to it.
