It had now been weeks since Bella's night in the hospital wing and she was still refusing to speak to Ron or Draco. Ron wasted no time at all in explaining to Bella that she was being selfish by ignoring him because none of this was his fault.

"Harry was the one who put you in hospital, not me!" Ron argued .

"Yeah, but Harry wasn't the one being an ass about it." Bella replied. "You haven't even said sorry!"

"What do I need to apologise for? I haven't done anything wrong!" Ron cried.

"See! You don't even know what you've done." Bella sighed. "If you don't know then I'm not going to tell you. Just go away."

Ron stormed off and Bella shook her head at his childish behaviour.

"Aren't you being a little harsh?" Emily asked.

"Just - don't... okay." Bella replied.

Things were still tense between the twins as the first task of the Triwizard Tournament drew closer and Bella tried to forget about Ron, and the little voice in the back of her head reminding her about Draco, to try and help Harry as best she could.

"I don't think I can do this." Harry said on the morning of the first task.

"You'll be fine." Bella re-assured him, patting his back. "Just remember what we practised."

"Summoning charms, summon my broom and lure the dragon away." Harry muttered under his breath.

"That's it." Freya smiled. "You're going to do great, Harry."

"You need to eat something Harry, get your strength up." Bella urged when they arrived in the Great Hall and Harry refused to eat.

"I can't - I feel sick." Harry replied.

"Even half a slice of toast?" Freya said gently, slowly pushing the tray of toast towards him.

"Okay." Harry said defeatedly, taking a piece of toast from the tray and slowly nibbling on it.

People all around them began to cheer and Bella turned her head to see Cedric standing in the doorway of the Great Hall with his friends, looking extremely embarrassed by all of the attention. The cheering calmed as Cedric made his way into the Great Hall, people were clapping him in the back and wishing him luck as he walked down the aisle between the tables.

"How are you doing, tiny?" Cedric asked as he reached them.

"Good thank you," Bella replied. "how are you feeling about the task?"

Cedric bent down and spoke in a hushed voice; "I hate to say it now but I'm a little nervous. What about you Harry, how are you feeling?"

"I'm alright." Harry replied.

"You know," Cedric said, looking between the three of them then back to Harry. "it is okay to be nervous. This is a dangerous tournament."

"I know." Harry replied. "Thanks Cedric."

"No bother." Cedric smiled, patting Harry's shoulder. "I'll see you out there."

"Good luck, Cedric." Bella smiled.

"Thanks, tiny." Cedric replied ruffling her hair.

He then crossed the Great Hall to the Hufflepuff table and sat down amongst his friends who were all glaring at Harry.

Bella gave Harry a one armed hug as Freya reached across the table and rubbed Harry's arm comfortingly. Bella smiled softly as she returned to her cereal but the smile was wiped from her face when she locked eyes with Draco and he gestured for her to go out into the Entrance Hall.

'No' Bella mouthed back angrily but Draco nudged his head more forcefully towards the door. With a loud sigh Bella pushed out of her seat.

"Where are you going?" Harry asked.

"I've just remembered that I left my wand in the dorm. I'll not be long." She replied.

Bella silently fumed as she made her way to the alcove in the dungeon corridor.

"What?" she snapped when Draco finally arrived.

"Who's rattled your cage?" Draco chuckled then coughed awkwardly as Bella glared at him. "Sorry." he muttered.

"Why did you ask me to come out here?" Bella asked.

"I just wanted to apologise again, I know today is a big deal." Draco said.

"Of course it's a big deal, but just because it's the first task today doesn't mean I'm going to suddenly forgive you." Bella replied.

"I know." Draco said. "I just wanted to explain to you that I am trying to be better but it's hard. If I all of a sudden started being nice to Potter then people would get suspicious and start asking questions."

"I know that." Bella sighed, leaning against the wall. "It's just hard trying to be your friend when you're constantly being horrible to brother and my friends."

"I am trying but this is the way it's always been and the way it probably always will be." Draco said. "My father hates your father and your father hates mine, your family hates my family and my family hates yours, we seem to be the only two out of everyone who can tolerate each other."

"Who says I can tolerate you?" Bella smirked.

"It's like that is it?" Draco replied with a grin.

The pair had goofy smiles on their faces as they lapsed into silence.

"Am I forgiven yet?" Draco asked sheepishly.

"I'll think about it." Bella replied as she pushed off the wall. "I've got to get back to Harry and see how he's feeling."

Bella brushed past Draco as she made her way out of the alcove and Draco grabbed her wrist as she passed him, pulling her gently back towards him. She stumbled slightly and before she knew what was happening Draco had wrapped his arms around her shoulders and held her in his embrace. Bella hesitated, standing with her arms by her side, not knowing what had gotten into him. As if she had burned him, Draco suddenly pulled back from her, his eyes wide and his mouth hanging open.

"I-I don't know why I did that." he said quickly.

Without another word he stepped around her and walked quickly out of the dungeons, leaving her bewildered. Bella waited a few moments until she was sure he was gone before she left the dungeons and returned to the Great Hall. Mentally she was still in the dungeons, replaying that last few seconds over and over again in her head. She sat down at Gryffindor table, not really paying any attention to those around her.

"Are you okay?" Freya asked.

"What?" Bella replied, returning to reality.

"She asked if you were okay." Harry said.

"Yeah, I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" Bella replied.

"I don't know." Freya said. "You just looked a bit far away."

Their attention was taken away from Bella and the strange look on her face when they noticed Professor McGonagall hurrying towards them. Harry shifted uncomfortably in his seat as all of the eyes in the Great Hall turned to watch their exchange.

"Potter, the champions must come down to the grounds now... you have to prepare for your first task. You too, Mr Diggory."

"Okay." Harry replied, standing up.

"Good luck, Harry." Bella said.

"You'll do great!" Freya added.

"Yeah." Harry said, not really listening to what they had said.

"Do you think he'll be okay?" Bella asked as they watched him leave with Cedric at his back.

"I'm sure he will." Freya replied. "He's strong, he'll get through it."

Not long after Harry and Cedric had gone with Professor McGonagall, it was time to head down to the stadium. Every single person was piling out of the castle doors, eager to get a seat with a good view.

"I don't think I want to see this." Freya whispered to Bella as they followed the other students down the grassy slope.

"Me neither." Bella whispered back.

They climbed the stairs to the stands and shuffled along the platform filled with students. Fred and George were on the platform behind them, taking bets and yelling their odds for everyone to hear.

"Do you need to do that?" Bella asked them. "Harry's in a right state without you two making it worse!"

"It's just business, sis." Fred said.

"Nothing personal." George added.

"Can you two do that elsewhere?" Freya asked. "I'd rather not see people betting on Harry right now."

"Come on, George." Fred said. "I think I see some people with some money over there."

The twins turned and hurried off to the other end of the platform. Bella turned to look at Freya with a look of awe on her face.

"What?" Freya asked.

"They never listen to anyone." Bella said, pointing her finger over her shoulder in the direction the twins had gone. "What's your secret?"

"Fred knows I won't help them with their pranks." Freya chuckled.

"Now that is genius." Bella replied.

Everyone around them seemed to be either thrilled or terrified when the dragon was brought into the stadium. It took four grown men to settle the dragon and Bella spotted Charlie amongst them.

"Look, there's Charlie!" Bella cried excitedly, pointing to where he was stood with the other dragon tamers.

Charlie gave her a short wave as the four men left the stadium - seconds later an extremely loud whistle blew somewhere outside the stadium and Cedric came running through the tent flaps directly in front of the dragon.

"I don't think I can watch this." Bella said, burying her head in Freya's arm.

The cheers were deafening as Cedric did whatever he was doing. Bella lifted her head from Freya's arm just as Freya yelled, "Cedric don't do that it'll take your eye out!"

Cedric had tried to run under the massive dragon's foot and it's claws caught the back of his top just as he made it under. Cedric yelled out in pain but continued on regardless. This went on for nearly fifteen minutes, with Ludo Bagman commentating Cedric's every move. When Cedric finally grabbed the golden egg, Bella yelled as loud as she possibly could and by the time his scores were being given out, Bella's voice was so hoarse she was beginning to sound like Karkaroff.

Fleur went next and Krum came after her: both using varying techniques to retrieve the golden egg and Bella had to say she was in awe of their magical ability. When Krum's final score was given and the whistle blew once more Bella and Freya gripped each other's arm and held on tightly to each other, hardly daring to take a breath. Harry walked out slowly to face the dragon and the entire stadium was silent.

The dragon swished her large, spiky tail and the crowd began to get louder the longer Harry stood in front of the dragon.

"COME ON HARRY!" Bella cried.

His wand arm shot into the air and he yelled, "Accio Firebolt!"

"Please work." Freya muttered under her breath.

A few tense seconds passed and their hope was dwindling, but then the Firebolt came shooting out from the trees and stopped in front of Harry.

"YES!" Bella and Freya yelled together.

Harry mounted the broom and kicked off from the ground. He grew smaller and smaller the farther into the air he flew. Both Bella and Freya were holding their breath, not taking their eyes off Harry as he flew around the dragon's head, enticing it to go after him. Becoming more confident the longer he was in the air, Harry dived: too busy avoiding the fire the dragon was shooting at him, he missed its tail coming up to meet him and one of the long spikes grazed his arm, tearing his robes. Harry didn't seem discouraged.

His tactic didn't seem to be working, the dragon wasn't willing to move. He ducked and dived, irritating the dragon into going after him. Finally, the dragon stretched out her wings and made to go after him. Harry dived, flying under the dragons foot that was no longer protecting the eggs - he took his hand from the Firebolt and pulled the large golden egg into his arms. While the dragon was still pre-occupied, Harry flew high into the air, holding the large golden egg above his head for everyone to see.

The stadium erupted into the loudest cheers yet. Bella and Freya were screaming and laughing and cheering as loud as they possibly could for Harry. Charlie and his friends hurried to subdue the dragon while Harry flew a lap around the stadium, shaking the egg enthusiastically. He returned to the ground just in front of the tent flaps with an enormous smile on his face.

"Come on, let's go and see him!" Freya cried, taking Bella's hand and pulling her out of the stadium.

Just as they reached the first aid tent they were met by Ron, Hermione and Emily.

"What are you waiting for?" Hermione said, pushing her way into the tent.

"That was brilliant Harry!" she cried as the others followed her in.

"Totally amazing!" Bella cheered.

"Even better than I imagined!" Freya added.

Harry wasn't looking at any of them, he was looking right at Ron whose face had gone as white as Nearly-Headless Nick.

"Harry," he said gravely. "whoever put your name in the goblet is definitely trying to do you in!"

"Believe me now, do you?" Harry said sharply. "Took you long enough."

The four girls looked between the two boys. Ron looked sheepishly at Harry and opened his mouth to speak but Harry cut him off.

"It's okay." Harry said. "Let's just forget about it."

"No," Ron said. "I should-"

"Forget about it." Harry said.

Ron smiled sheepishly at him and Harry smiled back.

"Finally!" Freya cried.

"We've only been waiting forever!" Emily said.

"Come on, Harry!" Hermione said eagerly. "They'll be giving out your scores!"

She grabbed his hand and pulled him from the tent. Freya and Emily picked up the golden egg and Harry's Firebolt and followed after Harry and Hermione. Ron looked from Bella to the floor as he stood in front of her.

"Come on, you big idiot." Bella smiled, linking her arm through Ron's and starting towards the entrance of the tent.

"I am an idiot, aren't I?" Ron said, shaking his head at himself.

"You are an idiot, but you're still my brother and I still love you." Bella replied. "And Harry's forgiven you, I have too."

"I love you too Bella." Ron grinned, pulling her into a much needed bear hug.
