Decided I'd post this as a little bonus :)

I hope you all enjoy this slight angsty fluff!

I sigh softly as I slowly roll over before gasping a little as a sore feeling covers my back, I open my eyes confused for a second before I remember where I am and what happened, I sigh softly and rub my eyes before slowly sitting up, my stomach growling hungrily.

I slowly get out of bed and pull on a soft robe, tying the belt gently before I leave my room, moving a little slower so as to not strain my back, I smile a little as I enter the console room, seeing the doors open and the Doctor working out in his lab, but seeing him deep in concentration I leave him be for now and go to the kitchen, making myself a bowl of cereal.

As I sit the ship hums around me, I smile softly up at the ceiling before eating quietly, still very tired and glad for it, my mind not having energy to wander much, once I finish eating I set the bowl into the sink before returning to my room, I hesitate by the bed, debating whether I should change or not before I decide I should, just in case I jump unexpectedly.

I go into my closet and pick out a loose short sleeve button up blue shirt, a pair of black pants and my coat, I smile softly seeing it fixed and clean, I also grab my boots and phone, stuffing my phone into the pocket of the pants before I change, moving slow and careful, not wanting to mess up the bandages as well.

Once I'm changed I quietly head back out to see the Doctor still in the same place he had been earlier, I quietly exit the Tardis and smile softly, stuffing my hands into my pockets.

I hesitate for a moment as I watch him, unsure if I should interrupt him but before I can make a move he speaks "I see you're awake, how are you feeling?" He asks, still working on something on the table, I quietly come over to his side.

"A lot better, thank you, for everything" I say softly, he sets his tool down and smiles to me softly.

"Good, I had hoped your extra rest would help the healing process and it seems to" he comments, I nod and lean against the table a little, smiling back at him softly.

"It did, and I wanted to apologize about before, I was cranky and tired and I shouldn't have argued, and I'm sorry I scared you, that was what I had been trying to avoid" I say softly, he shakes his head as he watches me.

"I am just glad you are alright, you seem to have healed rather quickly, but I do have some bad news" he says, I frown a little nervously now.

"What kind of bad news?" I ask softly.

He sighs softly "the wounds were large and they will leave large scars, including the burn on your shoulder, that will leave the skin more sensitive and easier to hurt in the future, I do not have to means to heal it fully to avoid the scaring" he says, I relax and smile softly.

"Oh, I don't mind scars much, I expected the scars as well, getting hurt this badly better leave a scar, then I have proof I lived through something big" I say and shrug a little before instantly regretting it, wincing a little, he chuckles softly and seems to relax more as well.

"Then thats good, though I do recommend being very careful from now on, the cut was dangerously close to your spine in some places" he explains, I nod again.

"Ok, I can do that, I'm definitely going to try and let it heal all the way before going on any big adventures, I mean if I can help it" I say softly, he nods again before standing, smiling softly down at me and offering me his hand.

"Would you like to come with me then? I wanted to go speak with the Brigadier about some equipment I need then I was thinking we could go out for some lunch? If you are feeling up to it of course" I can't help but smile more and gently take his hand.

"I'd love to, though I just ate, so I'm not very hungry" I explain, he nods and grabs his cape, pulling it on before taking my hand again and we leave the lab.

"Then shall we go for a drive in Bessie? Get you out into some fresh air?" He asks, I smile wider and nod, gently squeezing his hand happily as we walk.

So we do just that, going to see Alistair, who was relieved to see me doing much better, and we greet Liz on the way down to the car before we hop in and drive out of the UNIT building, I sigh softly and relax back into the seat happily.

I look out around us as we drive into the countryside, the cool air whipping past us I close my eyes for a moment, just breathing in the clean air and enjoying the breeze.

We drive around happily for a few hours, stopping a few times in small towns to look at bookstores or little antique shops, though the Doctor thought those stores were rather funny, shops for old things, well old to human standards, he kept asking why they had such new things in a store supposedly for old things, and I had to explain that for humans, one hundred years was very old, especially for things like books and blankets and things for the house.

He was not very amused though when he kept finding little things with aliens on them, like the classic green aliens with big eyes, I snicker as we walk down an aisle in one of the shops, finding a tiny little alien child's toy in a basket and he scoffs, looking unamused as I hold it up, smiling happily at him and trying not to laugh.

"The classic way humans see aliens, its quite funny, when I was a kid there were always these kinds of things everywhere, though that was in America, but a lot of shops and stores would have something with aliens on them, and I would always laugh because I grew up watching a...well, knowing what real aliens looked like" I explain, setting the toy back down gently.

"Though I still kind of like that version of aliens, I think they are kind of adorable, if not a little creepy" I hum as I continue on, not seeing as the Doctor had to hide his smile.

I continue on through the store happily, smiling softly as I wander, it felt so much like being back home, wandering the antique stores with my mom or grandma, I loved old things because I was raised working in antique stores and with old things and especially older movies.

I can't help but giggle a little when I see a horrible 70s style grandma lamp 'though, I suppose that lamp is in style right now'. The table lamps with the fabric cover with awful floral patters but the glass gems hanging from the edges, the glass stained pink.

I point it out "that looks like something my grandmother would have made" I giggle a little "she was known as The Lamp Lady in my town as I was growing up, she had a little lamp business and she'd sell them in her shops, it was kind of fun working with her, though she was really...grandma-esk" I snicker softly as he chuckles a little.

It's only then that I realize I had been blabbering, I blush a little and smile nervously "sorry...I didn't mean to ramble" I murmur and continue on, I can hear him following me as he speaks softly.

"You are one of the few people I enjoy listening to, so don't apologize my dear" he says softly, I smile up at him gently and blush a bit before we continue wandering.

A few hours later we start on our way back home, my back was starting to get really sore now so we decided that was enough fun for now.

As we drive back I lean back and relax happily, glad to have not jumped yet, but I was starting to get nervous 'what if I jumped when we got home? I don't have the energy to run around at all, and if I arrive in a bad situation I could easily fail to save people...'

I stiffen and come out of my thoughts as I feel the Doctor gently taking my hand, I look over confused and he smiles softly as he continues to drive.

"What has you so worried?" He asks softly, I hesitate before sighing softly, gently squeezing his hand.

"I'm worried I will jump soon...I don't have the energy to help anyone if I do, and I don't want to leave yet, I want to just rest..." I murmur softly, looking out the front windshield.

He hums softly, nodding a little and softly squeezing my hand back "well, my dear, If you do I can promise you I will make sure you are safe and well, and I want you to remember to tell me where ever you arrive about your injuries, I am not going to let you hide away like that again" he says seriously, I blush a little and smile sadly, nodding a little.

"I did promise I'd say something as long as nothing really bad is happening, you don't need to worry too much, I seem to be much more resilient than human me, thankfully" I say softly, he nods a little and seems to relax.

He keeps a hold of my hand until we arrive back at UNIT, letting go of my hand so he can hop out of the car, I sit up and am about to grab the door to get out but the Doctor is already there, holding the door open and offering me a hand, I smile softly and gently take his hand, thanking him as he helps me out of Bessie before we head inside and upstairs, I head into the Tardis and take my coat off slowly, gently hanging it up before my heart sinks.

That damned music.

I quietly curse before grabbing my coat and stepping back out into the lab, frowning softly as I see the Doctor getting to work on something "it seems I'm leaving sooner than I wanted" I murmur softly, hanging my coat over my shoulder, the Doctor looks up and frowns, standing and coming over, sighing softly but he smiles down at me gently.

"be safe my dear, and remember, tell me when you arrive" he says softly, gently kissing my forehead, I nod, blushing a little before I gently pull him into a hug, he hugs back very gently, being careful of my back, I grip the back of his jacket tightly, hands shaking a little as I bury my face into his chest.

"I don't want to leave yet...I like it here with you" I murmur, voice muffled, he gently cradles the back of my head and kisses the top of my head softly.

"I will be there where ever you end up my dear" he says softly, I nod a little as the music gets louder.

"I know...but I like this you...a lot" I murmur, my blush returning in full force, making me almost glad I was jumping.

He sighs softly "everything will be alright Rose" he says softly but I can barely hear him now, tightening my hold on him before everything goes quiet, losing the feeling of him I open my eyes shakily, I rub my eyes quickly to rid my eyes of the unshed tears, frowning sadly and sighing.

I look down at my arm to see a small a bandaid tattoo, along with more of the blue swirling color, I shake my head a little and very carefully pull my coat back on, wincing as it presses into my back for a moment, I quickly adjust it before closing my eyes.

Tired and sore and just wanting to rest for a while, but again it seemed that wouldn't be happening yet, I wait a little while before opening my eyes to see I'm standing in the Tardis corridor, I pause and listen, glancing around to notice I'm either with 9 or 10, but when I don't hear anything I look up to the ceiling worriedly.

"Is he here?" I ask, instantly she hums softly and blinks a few lights to my right, I nod and follow the lights quickly, getting a little worried as I go, but she leads me to my room, I frown a little as I open the door before I see the ninth Doctor standing near my bed, looking tired and sad, I frown a little in concern.

"Hun...?" I call softly, his head whips up, his eyes wide as he looks to me, I frown more seeing his infinitely sad eyes.

I come over and reach up, softly cupping his cheek gently "what's wrong? Are you alright?" I ask worriedly, he leans down into my touch, closing his eyes tiredly.

"You're back...I didn't think you would be" he murmurs, his voice tired, I move closer, gently running my thumb over his cheekbone softy.

"Of course I'm back, I'll always come back" I murmur softly, he smiles sadly at that, gently wrapping his arms around my waist, I suck in a breath "careful...I'm still really sore" I murmur softly, he looks to me worriedly, eyes wide again.

"Sore? What's happened?" He asks worriedly, staying stiff.

I sigh softly, laying my hands gently on his chest "remember the space control center? With the Brigadier?" I ask and his eyes widen more as he nods, moving to move his arms away but I gently grip his arms.

"It's ok, you don't have to let go" I say softly, he relaxes a little but watches me worriedly, I smile up at him gently "really, I'm doing ok, my back is sore definitely but it isn't really bad, and I trust you, I know you're careful" I say softly, he relaxes more before he sighs and leans closer, gently pulling me closer and resting his head on my uninjured shoulder, burying his face into my neck a little.

I reach up and gently run my hands over his short hair near the base of his skull, kissing his cheek softly "its ok" I murmur softly.

"Big four" he murmurs, I frown a little "hmm?" I ask, he relaxes a little more at my touch and speaks again.

"Big Four Ice Caves, thats where I just was" he says softly, I smile sadly and nod, pressing closer and opening the connection, feeling his tense shoulders relax more and I flood his mind with my own, sending him affection and warmth.

He very gently tightens his arms around my waist, clutching onto my coat as he sighs, I smile more and kiss his cheek again "I think I should tell you a little spoiler" I murmur softly, he stiffens nervously and I gently wrap my other arm around his chest softly.

"Nothing bad" I explain quickly, he sighs softly and nods, softly kissing my shoulder, I blush deeply but pull myself together quickly.

"You are going to see me a lot in the future, the war wasn't the end of you seeing me" I say softly, he slowly pulls back enough to look down at me a bit confused but hopeful, I smile up at him gently, trying to ignore the heat still in my cheeks, I gently stroke his cheek again happily.

"We go on so many adventures in your future, and in mine, I still have many to come" I say softly, he watches me for a moment, seeming to look for any signs of a lie but I press my mind closer to his, sending reassurance and love.

I lean up, gently pulling him down and into a loving kiss, he instantly reciprocates, pulling me closer gently, deepening the kiss and pressing his mind to mine, engulfing it and sending a shiver through me, I close my eyes, pressing back happily, the pain from my wounds lessening until its almost non-existent.

After a few moments I pull away and breath in deeply, blushing and beaming up at him as he smiles a little down at me, leaning down and pressing his forehead to mine.

"You are fantastic my love" he murmurs softly, I blush more and shake my head a little, gently gripping the front of his jacket.

"No, you are the fantastic one" I murmur softly and he sighs, his eyes darkening a little, I shake my head and frown.

"No, we are not going there, don't even say a word, you are fantastic, you are brilliant and the best man I have ever known, nothing you ever say will change my mind about you" I murmur softly, leaning up to softly peck his lips only to pull back and see tears in his eyes.

I reach up and gently wipe away one that had fallen, he leans into my touch and closes his eyes, trying to keep more tears from falling, I gently stroke his cheek softly before pulling back and taking both of his hands, he looks to me tiredly and I smile softly at him.

"Come, lets go get some rest, I'm exhausted and you could always use more sleep right now" I say softly, he nods softly and gently squeezes my hand before I walk with him to our room, smiling sadly seeing he hadn't made the bed when he got up.

I gently make him sit before I carefully take my coat off, hanging it on the back of a chair before I come over and gently help him take off his leather jacket, giggling as I toss it onto the same chair as mine, he looks up at me curiously.

"What's so funny?" He asks, I smile softly and kiss his forehead.

"Nothing at all, I just had a funny thought" I say softly before I pull back the blankets and sit down next to him, taking off my boots carefully, he watches me quietly before he lays down tiredly, I smile softly and move to the other side of the bed, carefully laying down, he moves closer, gently pulling me to his chest protectively, I smile softly and curl closer, gently gripping the front of his sweater, yawning a little as I relax, glad my back didn't hurt too much more.

He leaves soft kisses on the top of my head and around my ear, I giggle a little and look up at him as the lights in the room dim "I'm here, I promise" I murmur softly, he nods and smiles down at me softly, I could feel his happiness and hope through the connection, I carefully move up and softly kiss him happily before pulling back gently.

I glance down and see the chain with two rings on it, I reach up and gently pick them up, knowing he's watching me, I gently mess with them for a moment before seeing that my ring fits nearly perfectly into his, I smile softly and gently kiss his ring before gently letting them fall, glancing up to the smiling Doctor in front of me, I smile back softly.

I yawn again and he chuckles softly, kissing my nose softly, I blush and smile softly before curling closer again, pressing my head against his chest gently and as my exhaustion catches up with me I start to doze off quickly, keeping a tight grip on the Doctor's burgundy sweater.
