A/N: Hey. It's been six years. Let's talk. In the reviews.

Cody decided the best way for Gwen to win the bet was to stay as far away from people as possible. He would've tried to flirt with Gwen openly in front of people, but he learned quickly that it wouldn't work out. That's because whenever he tried to flirt with Gwen, she'd forget that it was because of a bet, and automatically elbow him right in the stomach. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me, he thought to himself. (He tried ten times, but who was counting, right?)

Finally, Cody was able to drag her with him into the woods so that they could talk about these issues. "Gwen," Cody said with a sigh. "If you want to win this bet, you're gonna have to stop treating me like I'm a nuisance."

Instead of responding, Gwen just glared at him. She didn't want to be alone with him. But she also didn't want to lose this bet. I could've had Justin, she thought bitterly to herself.

He groaned in frustration. "Look," he said. "I understand that you don't like me. And honestly, I'm fine with that. But I like you and that's why I'm trying to do what I can to help you win! You gotta meet me halfway here!"

She let out a deep sigh. He was right, and she knew it. "I don't think you're a nuisance," she finally admitted. "I just never dated anyone before. I liked being alone so this whole thing where I'm learning to flirt with someone I don't have feelings for is just strange."

Cody thought for a moment. It was obvious that Gwen wouldn't be able to learn how to flirt (or at least with him) quick enough to win this dare. Time for Plan B? "That's it," he finally realized.

"What's it?"

"We don't have to flirt! We can just talk like friends, but we'll just be far enough away from Trent so that he doesn't know what we're saying! That way it'll look like we're getting close, but you don't have to pretend to like me!"

Gwen considered Cody's proposal. It didn't actually sound like a bad plan. But there was still one problem. "Ummm... I think you're still forgetting that I don't have that many friends. I'm a loner, remember?"

"Well, there's no better time to start than today! Come on! Tell me something about yourself! Where are you from? Why'd you try out for this show? Do you have any siblings? What's their names and-"

While Cody continued with his many questions, Gwen couldn't help but smile. Sure, he was a little (okay a LOT) annoying, but she could learn to be friends with him. She could do it. It'll be easy, she thought.

"-do you have a favorite color? Oh! What about a favorite food? Mine is-"

She cringed. I hope.

After answering most of Cody's questions, the sun was starting to set. Surprisingly, Gwen felt more comfortable around Cody, and even let him walk with her back to the cabin!

Once they got to the girls side of the Screaming Gopher's cabin, Gwen paused before turning around to Cody. "Thanks, Cody."

Going into his side of the cabin, Cody was in high spirits. Yes, the girl he was crushing on was not into him in the slightest, but he still got to spend the whole day with her! Plus, she's counting on him! I won't let you down, Gwen, he thought to himself. That's when he saw that Trent was in the cabin as well. Time to do my part.

"I gotta say man," Cody said out loud. "Gwen's a pretty special girl."

"Yeah," Trent responded not looking at him. "Too bad she's not really into you."

"Oh really," Cody responded slyly while jumping onto his bed. "Last time I checked, a girl only spends all day with you in the woods if she likes you."

That worked. Trent looked at Cody with wide eyes. "All day, huh?" He tried to respond with a nonchalant tone, but Cody could see the look in Trent's eyes. He was jealous.

Gwen is totally gonna win this.
