Bridgette waxed her surfboard on the beach while watching Ezekiel awkwardly standing next to her. He looked completely out of place. I really need to help him to feel more comfortable with others. She looked around the beach. Most of the contestants were at the beach today. She could encourage him to join any of them. But I still have to do something to make Geoff jealous.

She looked at her surfboard. She could invite him to go surfing with her, but she felt it was a bit too out of his comfort zone. There has to be something that we could do together that would help him get a friend. "Hey, Ezekiel," she finally said.

"Hm," he asked looking up at her.

"What do you want to do today?"

He shrugged his shoulders in response.

Okay then... "Do you want to build a sandcastle with Katie and Sadie?" He shrugged. "Do you want to swim with DJ?" He shrugged. "Do you want to talk on the dock with Harold?" He shrugged.

She sighed in frustration. Well... So much for that. "What do you usually do for fun?"

He blinked at her confused. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, what did you usually do back home for fun? There must be something that you liked to do."

He thought for a moment before responding. "I usually liked to practice my archery skills."

Now we're getting somewhere. "Really?"

"Yeah, I'd usually practice so that I could perfect my aim when hunting for moose since you know they're tricky wild things and-"

"Okay!" Skipping the whole moose killing thing that sounds like something we could actually do together. "What if we shoot some arrows today? I think I saw a bow and arrow somewhere on this island, and I'm sure Gwen wouldn't mind us borrowing her paint to paint a target on a tree."

"You know how to play archery?"

She shook her head. "But I'm willing to learn! Plus, we can invite others so that you can teach them too! Then maybe you can make more friends!"

He finally smiled. "I'd like that."

After "borrowing" bows and arrows from the staff's prop tent and "borrowing" Gwen's paint to paint a target on a tree by the cabins, Bridgette invited Harold, Katie, Sadie, and DJ to learn how to shoot with a bow and arrow.

"Alright," Ezekiel said seeming confident for the first time on the island. "Shooting with a bow and arrow isn't too difficult. It's all about concentration." He then proceeded to hold up the bow and aim the arrow at the target. He paused for a moment before pulling the string back. Then he took in a deep breath and released the arrow, which landed right in the middle of the target.

Bridgette's jaw dropped. He's good.

"Bullseye," Harold shouted.

Katie and Sadie squealed in delight.

DJ applauded. "Nice going, man! Can you teach us how to shoot like that?"

"Sure," Ezekiel responded. "Let's start with how to correctly hold the bow and arrow. First..."

After Ezekiel explained the basics to them, they were all excited to try the new skill. Harold's arrow landed a little above the target. DJ's arrow landed in the bush next to the tree. Katie's arrow shot towards the cabin where Duncan and Geoff were sitting ("Watch it," Duncan warned while waving around his pocket knife.). Sadie's arrow came the closest and landed in the outer ring.

Finally, it was Bridgette's turn. She looked over at the cabin and saw Geoff staring. He gave her a small wave. Time to win this bet. "Hey, Ezekiel? I need help. I don't think I'm holding these things correctly."

Ezekiel gave her a confused look, but when Bridgette gave a slight nod of her head towards Geoff, Ezekiel got the hint (Surprised? Bridgette was too.).

"Sure," he said. He walked up behind her put his hands over her her hands. He guided her as she pulled back her bow before releasing the arrow.

"Bullseye," DJ shouted. "Nice going, Bridge!"

"Hey, do you think that Noah and Courtney have a thing," Geoff asked Duncan.

Duncan growled. "I don't know! Do you think that Bridgette and Ezekiel have a thing?" He pointed to Bridgette who was currently hugging Ezekiel for helping her.

Geoff shook his head. "Nah, man. I think they're just friends."

"Alright, if you're sure."

Geoff continued to watch Bridgette. It was weird of Duncan to suggest that Bridgette could ever have a thing. I mean, he and Bridge had something special.

"Aw, Sadie," Katie cooed. "Wasn't that so cute? The way that Ezekiel helped Bridgette?"

"I know right," Sadie cooed back. "They make such a cute couple!"

Bridge and I have something special... Right?
