Duncan angrily stomped into his side of the cabin and slammed the door closed. He couldn't believe that Courtney would waste her time with... him. It sickened him.

If it had been anyone else, Duncan wouldn't be so annoyed... Okay, that was a lie. But still! Noah was the kind of guy Duncan would stuff in a locker in high school when his sarcasm got to be too much.

He sat on his bed and sighed. Am I thinking too much about it? He looked out the window to watch Courtney and Noah again but saw that Courtney was now alone. Good. He looked towards the Screaming Gopher cabin and saw Noah sitting by himself on the porch reading.

He gave a sly smile. It was time to figure out what was really going on.

Courtney smiled when she saw Bridgette sit next to her.

"So," said Courtney curiously. "How'd your 'date' go?"

Bridgette smiled back. "You know what? It went pretty well. Ezekiel's a pretty chill guy. He just didn't know how to introduce himself."

Courtney sighed. "You're so lucky..."

"Why? What happened during yours?"

"Let's just say that if it wasn't for Duncan's quick temper, I'd have no chance."

"Oof," Bridgette cringed. "That bad huh?"

"Ugh. You mean you didn't hear his atrocious yelling?" She palmed her forehead. "The only thing that kept me sane was knowing that Duncan was glaring at us the whole time."

"At least you know how Duncan feels," Bridgette pointed out. "Geoff is always too casual to tell what he's thinking."

"I mean... at least you're comfortable enough with Ezekiel now to hold his hand."

"True," Bridgette replied. "Still don't want to do it though. I wonder how Gwen is doing?"

Gwen sat happily on her bed writing her progress in her diary. It felt... nice to actually talk about nothing with someone. The fact that it would also help her win the dare was an added bonus.

Cody wasn't as bad as she originally thought. True, his crush on her freaked her out, but she was pleasantly surprised to discover a new side of him. Hell, she might even consider him as a friend someday.

She heard the door open but didn't think much of it until she felt her bed sink.

She looked up to see Trent sitting on her bed with a disappointed expression. She had to give it to Cody. She did nothing to make their relationship work. Instead, Cody did all of the work to make sure she won.

Is that what a friend does?

"Hey," she said softly. "Haven't seen you around lately."

"Well," started Trent. He sounded a bit bitter. "I mean, you have been hanging out with Cody. For like the whole day."

"Oh," she asked curiously. "Is there a problem with that?"

"I mean... It's kind of hard to fit in your schedule..."

She laughed to herself. "Trent, if I didn't know any better, I would think that you're jealous."

"Maybe I am," he whispered.

She sat closer to him and give him a side hug. "Cody and I are just friends. I only have eyes for one guy." She buried her head in his neck.

Stepping out, Duncan saw that a previously chill Geoff was now sulking. He looked over the side and saw the group was still playing archery except for Bridgette, who was missing.

"Where'd Malibu go," Duncan asked Geoff.

Geoff nodded towards the docks. Sure enough, there were Courtney and Bridgette hanging out. Better that than hanging out with those losers.

Duncan felt bad for Geoff. Not that'd he ever say that out loud. He's never seen him not smile. It was kind of freaking him out.

"I'm going to Noah to get some answers," said Duncan while walking towards the Screaming Gophers cabin.

Geoff watched Duncan walk away. "Why would he have any answers?"

Noah was finally able to read his book in peace. He should've never taken the deal with Courtney in the first place. He should've stepped out when he overheard Ezekiel and Bridgette say it was a dare. It was beyond juvenile and something Noah always prided himself to be above.

But on the other hand, she would've probably killed him if he did that. At least the date was short. Or maybe that's how long dates typically are? He wouldn't know.

He heard footsteps and watched as Duncan approached. He wanted to roll his eyes. He did not have time for this.

He waited until Duncan was right in front of him before speaking. "Can I help you," he asked in a bored voice.

It was the wrong move.

Duncan grabbed Noah's shirt and lifted him up in the air.

Noah had fear in his eyes. It was just like he had predicted. Duncan was definitely going to kill him.

"You want to tell me why you've been hanging out with Courtney so often," Duncan asked with a glare.

Noah wanted to laugh. Out of all of them, Noah probably spent the least amount of time with his date. He could tell Duncan that, but he had a feeling that it wouldn't make the situation any better.

He could play this in two ways. He could try and hold the information from Duncan and have Duncan kill him. Or he could tell Duncan what was going on and have Courtney kill him.

"Courtney and Bridgette dared each other to make you and Geoff jealous and made us follow along with it!"

Duncan looked confused for a moment. Then, he started laughing and put Noah down. "This is just too good."

Once Duncan walked away, Noah let out a sigh of relief. He avoided Duncan's anger. Now, he'll just have to hide from Courtney.

Duncan walked up to Geoff while laughing. "Dude, you're not going to believe this..."

At that moment, Courtney and Bridgette approached the cabin. They were about to head inside when Duncan called out to them.

"I think you guys want to hear what I have to say to Geoff."

Both girls turned around. Courtney kept her face neutral, but on the inside, she was worried. His voice sounded... smug. The opposite of what she had witnessed that morning.

"What's up," Geoff asked.

Duncan smirked. "Apparently, Princess and Malibu here dared each other to make us jealous."

Geoff gave Duncan a confused look. "I don't understand."

"Dude, Bridgette pretended to like Ezekiel to make you jealous."

Once the realization hit Geoff, he smiled. "I knew there was no reason to be jealous!" He started laughing with joy. "But boy, you guys got Duncan good. To the point where he went to threaten Noah."

Bridgette and Courtney looked at each other wondering what to say to something like that. Finally, Courtney blurted out, "I'm counting this as a win for me."

"What," Bridgette yelled. "They just told you they know it was a dare."

"Yeah, but before that, Geoff said he was jealous. That's all I was asked to do so... It's a win. I told you that you should've just asked out Geoff." Courtney turned to face the guys. "For the record, I didn't want to be a part of this."

"And yet, you went through with it anyway," Bridgette said while glaring.

Courtney shrugged. "A competition is a competition." She looked at the Screaming Gophers cabin and noticed Gwen walking outside with Trent. They were holding hands. She smirked. "I think Gwen won too. Sorry, Bridge."

Courtney started walking towards her side of the cabin when she felt Duncan's hand wrap around her arm.

"Hold on, Princess. I still have questions. But I'm glad to see you're admitting your feelings to me."

Courtney pulled her arm out. "I never said that. It was just a dare." She walked up to the door and paused when she realized she was alone. She looked back at Duncan. "Well? Are you coming?"

"What?"

"You said you had questions."

Duncan smiled. He wasn't sure what was making Courtney more open to him, but he wasn't going to let the opportunity pass.

Geoff gave an apologetic smile to Bridgette.

"Sorry, Bridge," he said sheepishly. "I'm not really the jealous type..."

She gave a small smile back. "I know... And don't apologize. Saying it out loud now, it sounded really stupid."

He pulled her next to him, and they stood side by side on the patio leaning against the railing. He gave her a side hug before placing a gentle kiss on her head.

"So now what," he asked.

She sighed. "Now, I'm supposed to hold Ezekiel's hand."

"Do you want to do it now? I don't mind."

Truthfully, she did want to get it done as quickly as possible. But when she searched for him, he saw that he was currently hanging out with other members of the Killer Bass and Owen. She smiled to herself.

"Nah," she said not wanting to interrupt Ezekiel's budding friendships. "I'll deal with the consequences later."

She stayed silent for a moment before the wheels started turning in her head. Courtney didn't win... Not really.

The next morning, the two girls sat with each other in the cafeteria at the Killer Bass tables. From the time Courtney woke up till now, Bridgette has been giving her a sly smile.

She narrowed her eyes at Bridgette. "What are you up to?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Bridgette said pretending to be offended by Courtney's question. The smile stayed.

Courtney was about to question her more but stopped when she saw Duncan sit by her. He was smirking at her.

She gave a confused look to Bridgette and Duncan. "Okay, you're both starting to freak me out."

Both of them continued to say nothing. Courtney was just going to leave it alone when she saw a letter in Duncan's hand. With her stationary. Shit.

He saw her eying and held it out in front of her. "You don't like me, huh?"

The day before the girls had their dares, Courtney wrote out her feelings about Duncan in a letter. She was hoping that by writing it down her feelings would go away. No such luck.

She remembered exactly what she had written.

Duncan, I don't know what to do about you. You annoy me so much that it makes me want to scream. Your disregard to rules more than aggravates me. Hell, I can't even tell if you do this just to annoy me or because you like me. Yet somehow, despite all of this, I'm always wanting more of you. I guess what I'm trying to say is... I like you. There, I said it. Now I can burn this letter.

She could deny that the letter wasn't from her, but what was the use? Either way, he'd still tease her about it.

Instead, she asked, "How did you even get that?"

"I found it on my pillow last night, and by the way..." He kissed her on the cheek causing her to blush. Then, he whispered in her ear, "I like you too." He then left to get food.

But how did it even get on his pillow?

"Aww," teased Bridgette. "I do love young romance."

Then, it dawned on Courtney. "You knew that letter existed. That's why you wanted it as my punishment!"

Bridgette feigned shock. "I have no idea what you're talking about! It's not like I saw you write the letter... Or heard you reading it out loud... Or saw that you placed it under the mattress..."

Courtney glared at Bridgette. Two can play that game. She got up, found Ezekiel, and dragged him to the seat next to Bridgette.

"Ezekiel," Courtney said. "All you have to do to help Bridgette is hold her hand for five minutes. You can do that for a friend, can't you?"

Ezekiel nodded. "After all the help she gave me, I'd do whatever for her, eh."

Bridgette tried not to show disgust. She may consider him a friend, but that didn't mean she appreciated his hygiene. She witnessed the guy picking his nose on the walkover.

"Don't worry, I'll keep track of time," Courtney said. The glint in Courtney's eyes told Bridgette she was lying.
