Chapter 10 is here, sorry for the long wait, I've been busy with school lately. I know as of this chapter, this fic is not as popular as other K-ON! fics, but if you do read this, let me know if you want another fic based on the character's adult lives. I think it would be quite interesting to see. Without further ado, enjoy!

Chapter 10: The Entertainment Studio

"I'm. So. Fucking. Excited!" Mio exclaimed in her and Ritsu's bedroom.

"Shut up already," Ritsu groaned from her bed, "You've been screaming about this the entire day, and stop swearing jeez.. it doesn't suit your character."

Mio sat up from her bed and scowled at the drummer.

"And what exactly is my character?!" Mio snapped.

Ritsu sat up and grinned devilishly, as she got the reaction she wanted.

"You know… the innocent type, the moe-moe kyun princess, so pure, so precious~," Ritsu whispered in an imitation of Gollum.

Mio threw a pillow at the drummer, who uttered a loud "Oof!"

"You can't tell me you aren't excited," Mio huffed, "If we get hired by an entertainment studio, our futures are basically set in stone."

Ritsu sat up from her collision with the pillow and sighed.

"I know I was all excited bout it earlier, but now that I think about it…" Ritsu said, looking unsure with herself, "do I really want to hit it big?"

Mio raised her eyebrows, "What are you saying? You were the one who made that promise all those years ago."

Ritsu sighed, "I don't know really, it's just a thought. Don't get me wrong, I'm hyped to go to the company tomorrow."

"You're really not yourself, you must be growing old," Mio teased.

"Oh shut up princess," Ritsu laughed, "we're the same age."

The two friends laughed, the serious atmosphere earlier losing it's previous tension.

"We'll try it out tomorrow and if you have any second thoughts, just tell me alright?" Mio smiled warmly, "I'm glad you're thinking deeply about this."

Ritsu blushed.

"QUIT BEING SO SAPPY," the drummer yelled, throwing a pillow at Mio.

"What the-?"

The next day…

Onna Gumi and Houkago Tea Time waited at the local mall to wait for Maeda, who said he would pick them up to go to the Record Company.

"Something wrong Mugi-senpai?" Azusa asked the blonde, who had her cheeks puffed up in thought.

Mugi snapped out of her trance.

"Oh sorry Azusa-chan," Mugi tried to smile, "It's just that the name of the record company seems a little familiar."

"Oh are they famous?" Azusa asked.

"No," Sacchi replied, joining the conversation, "In fact they're pretty new."

"Then… where have I heard this name before?" Mugi wondered aloud.

Meanwhile, Yui and Ritsu were bothering Akira, who had dark circles under her eyes, and for some reason, wore a bright pretty dress that did not match her hair whatsoever.

"She's trying to be more girly," Ayame giggled to Mio, "She looks horrendous."

Mio, who was usually polite, had to agree with Ayame.

"Ah! Akira-chan!" a voice called from behind the group.

Maeda showed up with a dashing suit, with another man with hands behind his back standing close by.

Akira flushed a deep red, turning round to see Maeda.

"Uh, you look um… pretty?" Maeda raised his eyebrows in confusion.

Mio, Ayame, Sacchi and Mugi broke into a fit of silent giggles.

Ritsu saluted to Maeda, "Yes boss! We helped dress her up."

"Yeah isn't she adorable?" Yui grinned brightly.

Maeda tried his best to smile genuinely as he turned to the rest of the group.

"This way everyone," Maeda said, "the limo is this way."

Upon hearing the word 'limo', Yui, Ritsu, and even Azusa hopped up and down excitedly.

Mugi puffed up her cheeks once again, once again trying to recall where she heard the record company's name from.

The two bands chatted excitedly amongst themselves as they got into the limo, where they found canned drinks awaiting them in cup holders.

"So… fancy," Yui said, drooling.

Azusa groaned at her senpai's behaviour, reaching over to wipe the older girl's chin with a tissue.

Yui did not face Azusa, instead blushing a light shade of pink.

"T-thanks Azusa," Yui stuttered quietly.

"Azusa?" Azusa repeated in a confused manner.

"Azunyan!" Yui replied, this time with more energy.

Yui then glimpsed Azusa and said, "Aren't you excited? We're gonna be famous!"

Azusa sighed, "It isn't a guarantee yet Yui-senpai."

"I know," Yui grinned, "But the thought of it is so exciting!"

Mio smiled at her friend's enthusiasm, before looking over at Akira, who's pink face matched her dress.

Ayame was fanning Akira with a piece of paper.

"There, there," Ayame sighed.

"You can't be like this the whole time Akira-chan," Sacchi said to the pixie-cut girl.

"I'm fine!" Akira growled, before her tone dropped to one of bitterness, "I'm fine…"

Ritsu whispered to Ayame, "We wanted to put a wig on her but it didn't fit our budget."

Mio smacked Ritsu and chided, "Do you really think Maeda-san would believe that crap?"

"Just kidding," Ritsu whined, massaging her head.

Soon enough, the bands reached their destination.

As she stepped out, Yui gave an audible gasp. The studio was much bigger than they expected.

The building was about the size of a small apartment building, with the inside's reception room looking as fancy as a hotel's reception.

Maeda greeted the receptionist, before directing the two bands towards the elevators.

When the lift arrived, Maeda swiped his card on a scanner, afterwhich an electronic voice uttered, "Welcome to Writing Destinies."

"Writing Destinies?" Mugi thought, racking her brains on those two words.

Then it hit her.

"Oh crap," Mugi whispered to no one in particular, burying her face in her hands.

"Something wrong Mugi?" Ritsu asked.

"Oh, it's nothing Ricchan," Mugi tried to smile, "I- uh forgot to bring treats."

Akira stared at Mugi, "You guys still want to have your tea time?"

Yui nodded, "There is ALWAYS time for tea time Akira-chan."

Ding*

The group exited the elevator, walking towards a middle aged man sitting at his desk.

The man beamed upon seeing the bands.

"Welcome, welcome to Writing Destinies, you can call me Itsuo," the man said warmly, "I am the president of this fine company."

Yui, Mio, Azusa, Sacchi and Ayame were all silently being excited, trying their best not to jump up and down.

"May I have your band names?" Itsuo asked.

"Onna Gumi," Akira replied.

Itsuo greeted the three girls of Onna Gumi and turned to the other group.

"Your name?" Itsuo asked.

"Houkago Tea Time," Yui replied proudly.

Itsuo greeted each of the members, but when he reached Mugi…

"Hold on a second…" Itsuo muttered, looking at Mugi's blonde hair and eyebrows, "You don't happen to be related to Haruto Kotobuki do you?"

Mugi's face flushed a certain shade of purple, "Y-yes, I'm his daughter, Tsumugi Kotobuki."

Itsuo suddenly grabbed Mugi's hands and excitedly said, "You're the presidents daughter?! Well then, we must give you a special tour of our facilities, hosted by me of course. I owe your father everything. Well, chop chop, let's get going!"

Onna Gumi and Houkago Tea Time looked at Mugi's blank expression.

Mio decided to break the awkward silence, "Mugi, what was that abou-"

"My dad owns this company," Mugi said quickly, once again burying her face in her hands.

The others nodded, rather unsurprised.

As promised, Itsuo brought the two bands around the facility, which had a lot of tech HTT had only wished to use.

The tour ended in one of the office's recording studios.

Itsuo allowed the girls to have fun in the studio, and gave them his contact if they want to be signed under his company.

"These equipment could make our band sound so much better!" Mio screeched in excitement, heading over to a lefty showcase of bass guitars.

Azusa and Yui followed the lefty who was gawking at the display.

"We don't need the equipment to sound good Mio-senpai," Azusa smiled at her senior's sudden burst of energy, "What we have is talen- OH MY GOD IS THAT A SPARK 40?!"

Azusa's eye had caught one of the gleaming amps near the corner. Azusa proceeded to drag Yui to the amps.

"What's so special about this Azunyan?" Yui asked, "It's just an amp."

"JUST?!" Azusa shouted, before realising her volume and lowering it, "Imagine Gitah's voice sounding more clearer and beautiful!"

Yui placed a finger on her chin, clearly lost in her imagination.

"AZUNYAN WE NEED TO TRY THIS AMP!" Yui screeched.

"They're a lively bunch," Maeda laughed, "Akira-chan aren't you gonna join them? You're a guitarist too aren't you."

"Right," Akira said, face a little red.

As Akira walked off, she turned behind suddenly and took a deep breath.

"Uh, M-Maeda-senpai," Akira stuttered, "Would you like to hang out sometime? T-to catch up?"

Maeda looked at Akira, "Sure! I'm free on Sundays, so maybe we can go next week?"

While this was happening, Ayame's jaw dropped at the keyboard display.

"Luh-luh love birds," Sacchi laughed.

"How exciting," Mugi remarked, eyes shining with happiness.

"That Maeda is a dumbass," Ritsu deadpanned.

"You're coming with me!" Ayame said, grabbing Sacchi's hand and leaving, "our Wada-san has finally grown up!"

"I can imagine a million things that could go wrong with this," Ritsu said lazily, "Eh Mugi? Mugi?"

Mugi was lost in her own world, staring at a keyboard intensely.

"Oi Mugi," Ritsu waved a hand in front of the blonde's face.

"Sorry, Ricchan," Mugi apologised as she woke up from her daydream.

Ritsu giggled, "You weren't having some sort of fantasy regarding Maeda and Akira were you?"

Mugi blushed, "No, no nothing like that, I just… don't like the idea of being under my father's company, it would still feel like I'm being babysitted.

Ritsu widened her eyes, "So that's why you didn't have much energy today…"

"How bout you Ricchan?" Mugi asked, "You seemed less excitable today."

Ritsu sighed and said, "Well if you really wanna know, I just- don't feel like making this music thing something I wanna do professionally."

"Why's that?" Mugi asked, "Wasn't the reason you reassembled the Light Music Club back in High School was so that you could go pro?"

"I- I kinda grew up?" Ritsu replied, "I dunno, I guess I feel a little held back in terms of skill to the rest of you, I don't think I'm good enough to go big. Plus, I joined the club so I could spend more time with Mio."

Upon realising what she said, Ritsu blushed deeply and quickly started denying frantically, "I mean- uh, I wanted to uh, have fun in high school."

Mugi stared at Ritsu and smiled, "Sure."

"What do you mean 'sure'?" Ritsu said frantically, waving her arms around.

"Anyway," Mugi said, "Personally I don't mind going big, it's the fact that it's my father's company that's biting me, plus you aren't a bad drummer Ricchan, far from that."

"ARE YOU TRYING TO EMBARASS ME FURTHER?" Ritsu yelled, lightly slapping Mugi.

THUNK*

"Oof!" Ritsu cried, collapsing on the floor.

Mio had thrown a pen at Ritsu.

"Keep it down idiot! I can't hear this bass," Mio yelled at the drummer.

Ritsu sat up and retorted, "Oh so the one time I made a loud noise today you have to throw something at me, who was the one screaming about the trip endlessly?!"

"You had to make your loud noise during the moment we're having fun with the high quality instruments?" Mio snapped back.

"Well- uh, look! Barnacles on the bass!" Ritsu yelled suddenly.

Mio shrieked and almost dropped the bass.

"Hehe," Ritsu giggled.

"Ricchan that's a low move," Yui laughed, but her mood changed upon looking at Mio's face.

Yui made a small yelp and moved away from Ritsu.

"But it was hilarious wasn't it Yui?" Ritsu laughed, "Yui?"

Ritsu turned to look at the approaching bassist whose face was scrunched up horribly.

"Ritsu…," Mio growled softly.

"I- I ran out of arguments just now and I-"

An hour later…

"Thank you girls," Maeda said, "Let me know when you want to sign! Oh, see you on Sunday Akira-chan."

"Bye senpai!" Akira smiled brightly.

"Akira-chan smiling," Ayame shivered, "Terrifying."

The bands got back to the University gate and said goodbye to Ritsu and Mio.

"Bye Ricchan, Mio-chan!" Yui grinned, running through the gate.

"Bye Ritsu-senpai, Mio-senpai," Azusa bid to her senpais.

"Goodbye you two," MugI smiled, "Uh, try to make up will you?"

"Bye Mugi," Ritsu and Mio said.

Ritsu and Mio walked back to their apartment in silence.

Ritsu rubbed the bump on her head, looked at the bassist and thought, "Damn, did I go to far?"

Mio rubbed her fist, and, facing the drummer, thought, "She's right, I overreacted."

Upon noticing that they were looking at each other, Ritsu and Mio jerked their head away from each other, before uttering, "Hmph!"

Sorry this took so long ~Was busy with school, so sorry bout that. Next few chapters, Mitsu drama? Haha I hope this doesn't make you cringe too much.Till next time!
