"Commander"
I heard someone calling me.
"Commander!"
That person called me again. But I don't want to wake up, this place is too comfortable.
"Commander!"
All right, all right, I'm up.
With that, I slowly opened my eyes, the morning sunlight coming through the window made me squint.
I lifted my body from the futon where I was sleeping and looked around, the room I live in now is a Japanese style room, it has tatami mats, shoji doors, and there is a tokonoma area.
With full consciousness returning, I remembered now that I was now at the ryokan that the people from Sakura Empire had prepared especially for me.
Getting up from the futon, I walked towards the window, from there I could see the cherry blossoms in bloom indicating that it was now spring and a full view of the headquarters of the Sakura Empire.
A light breeze hit me, bringing with it a warm feeling as it mixed with the light of the morning sun.
"Aahh, this is the best", I said while enjoying the atmosphere.
"COMMANDER!"
The screams from outside the room made me freeze.
Oh shit.
I completely forgot that someone called me earlier.
I already know who called me. Because besides me, there is someone else who lives in this house, that is my secretary.
And considering her nature… gosh, this is really bad. She must be mad now.
Courageously, I walked towards the door.
I stopped in front of the door, inhaled and exhaled, I opened the door with a smile hoping she wouldn't be mad.
But my hopes were quickly crushed.
In front of me stood a beautiful little girl who was pouting, her name was I-168, but she told me to call her Iroha. She is a submarine from the Sakura Empire, she was assigned to be my secretary while I was here.
She has long black hair mixed with pink at the ends, red eyes with X-shaped pupils, quite unique in my opinion. She also has two horns on top of her head which are similar in color to her hair color.
Her clothes are... I don't know much about fashion, but she wears clothes similar to Japanese schoolgirl swimsuits, except that her clothes are white. She also wore extra clothing that covered her entire arm, but not enough to cover her shoulders.
She is also always followed by a little white furry creature that has horns similar to her, I don't really know about that, maybe they are related.
"H-Hi, good morning, Iroha", I said nervously.
"Nghh, Commander. How dare you make me wait", She said with a cute frown.
"Haha, sorry sorry", I said while patting her head, "It won't happen again"
"Nyah", She seems surprised when I pat her head, "H-Hmph, you're lucky I'm a kind ship, so I forgive you", She said as she folded her arms and looked the other way.
Ah, so cute.
She then came into my room, and checked the surroundings.
"What is it?", I asked with a bit of confusion.
"Looks like she didn't come in this time", She said.
She? Oh, she meant Taihou. That woman surprised me quite a few days ago, when I woke up in the morning, I found myself sleeping with a very seductive and naked woman.
When Iroha found out, she was furious and it took hours for her to forgive me.
"I made sure she wouldn't be able to enter", I said confidently.
"Good then", She said with a smile, "Get ready, Commander. I will make breakfast"
"Oooh, I can't wait to taste your cooking", I said.
"Hehe, I'll make a nice breakfast", She said as she ran downstairs.
After she left, I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth, dry my head with a towel, then I went to the wardrobe and took out a set of white clothes complete with a hat.
After getting dressed, I went to the mirror and looked at my appearance. The clothes I'm wearing are similar to the Marine Commander outfits, considering I'm now a commander of the ship girl squad, I think this outfit fits.
Satisfied with my appearance, I rushed to the first floor and entered the dining room.
I was immediately treated to a tantalizing aroma, it came from the dining table.
"Oh, you've come. Please have a seat, Commander", said Iroha who just came out of the kitchen.
I nodded and sat down, then I looked at the food in front of me.
It was Fried Rice, still hot because it was freshly cooked, it was well cooked from the looks of it and the smell….. it was so tempting, I wanted to taste it right away.
"Alright, let's eat", I said.
With that I started eating the food Iroha made, and it tasted really good.
I was surprised when I tasted her cooking, this is the best dish she has made so far, with the right spice and seasoning to make this dish delicious.
Too complacent with the dish, I just realized that Iroha has been watching me for a long time, it seems she wants to know what I think about her cooking.
"This is so delicious, Iroha", I said happily.
"R-really!?", She asked hopefully, I nodded back, "I did it! I did it, yeeeeey!", She shouted happily.
For a person who had only started learning to cook for a month, the progress was staggering. I still remember the first time I ate the food, if I were a normal human I would have had stomachaches for at least a week, that was about a month ago when I started living in Sakura Empire.
"Well, if you continue to develop your skills, I'm sure you will make a great wife", I said with a smile.
"Hyahh, W-wife….I…w-wife….c-commander?", She said in surprise, I also saw that her face was completely red.
I don't understand, she should be happier when I compliment her like that, now she's embarrassed and stutters. Wasn't it natural to praise a woman who was great at cooking like that, back when I…
…..
…..
OH SHIT.
Damn, damn, damn, what did I do!
Saying that she would make a great wife would be like proposing to her.
Damn, I was off guard. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to marry her, but I don't know if she even loves me or not, so I don't want to force her.
"Now what should I do", My mind is now thinking of anything that could distract her.
I looked at the clock on the wall, it was eight-thirty, half an hour until I started work. If we don't hurry, we might be late.
"Hey, Iroha", I called her.
"Commander's wife, commander's wife, commander's wife", The girl didn't hear me, it seemed she was whispering something I couldn't hear.
"Hey, Iroha!", This time I called her a little louder, and it worked, she was out of whatever musing she was.
"Y-Yes?", She asked stuttering, her cheeks still red.
"I don't know what you're thinking, but if you continue like that we'll be late", I said.
"Eh", She then looked at the clock and was surprised, "That's right we have to hurry" Then we both continued our breakfast.
After ten minutes, we finished breakfast and are now getting ready to go to my office.
"Ready?", I asked.
"Yes, everything is okay", She said.
"Alright, let's go"
She nodded, and we walked together.
"Commander, let this great me carry your bag", She said proudly.
I sighed, this is how it is. Sometimes she acts like a noble when she wants to show her abilities and acts like a child who wants to be praised when she succeeds in doing something.
"Forgive me Your Majesty, but this bag is too heavy for you"
She pouted.
"You know that shipgirls like us are not human, right, Commander? Carrying a bag like this is just a small matter for me"
"I know, but I can't let a pretty girl like you carry things, it's a man's job"
"Hyahh, p-pretty girl"
And my teasing worked, her face instantly turned red.
It made me laugh and she hit me like a kid.
.
We walked leisurely because there was still time before I started work.
The sight of cherry blossoms blooming colored our trip, plus the warm morning sun made the atmosphere peaceful.
Our residence is on a plateau, so I can see the entirety of the Sakura Empire and the vast sea, it's an amazing sight.
I have to thank Nagato for providing this place.
Every now and then I waved to greet some Shipgirls who were about to start their daily activities.
Iroha also seems to be having a good time since I complimented her cooking earlier, she jogged while jumping to pick up some fallen cherry blossoms.
I just smiled at her.
Then I looked up at the clear morning sky, reminiscing about the past when I arrived in this world.
Yes, I am not from this world, I came to this world about two years ago.
And no, I didn't come to this world by classical means like reincarnation or summoning rituals.
I came here voluntarily using my own power.
How?
To answer that question, I have many reasons.
I am no ordinary human, I come from a world filled with chaos of war and full of powerful monsters. In order to survive from that world, I did everything possible until a certain event made me immortal.
But even if I become immortal, the world doesn't. Because the chaos that has been going on for too long has made the world itself fragile, it is only a matter of time until it is completely destroyed.
I didn't know what fate would befall me at that time, but before the world really ended, I was saved by a certain god and lived under his guidance for a while.
During the years I lived with him, I managed to learn a lot from him, one of which was a Spatial Magic that allowed me to teleport and explore various worlds.
And after that I said goodbye and went to explore the world.
Along the way, I met many different races of living beings, animals, and unique cultures.
But one thing is the same and hasn't changed since I left my original world.
War.
It seems that in any world I will not be separated from what is called war.
To me war is a bad thing, because it only produces suffering and misery, unless it's a war to protect something valuable. But in all my life, I've never met anything like it. Those who fight only follow their greedy desires, therefore I never interfere in their wars.
I'm not a good person, but I'm not a bad person either. I will only give help to people who really deserve it.
After who knows how long exploring the world, I also arrived here. Arriving in this world, I'm not surprised that this world is in war as well. What surprised me was the reason they fought, it wasn't for the invasion of territory or any other form of human greed.
They fight to protect humanity from the threat of beings from outside the world, the Sirens.
Sirens. No one knows where they came from. What is known about them is that their goal is to exterminate the human race.
As a result, humanity formed a global scale alliance to fight the Sirens, namely Azur Lane.
The center of the formation of this great alliance is divided into four nations, namely the Eagle Union, Royal Navy, Iron Blood and Sakura Empire. Several other nations chose to stand alone against the threat from Sirens.
The humans spearheading the fight against the Sirens are the Shipgirls, man-made warships capable of taking on human form, but their manufacturing methods have been lost since the Sirens destroyed the shipgirls' lab.
One thing they knew about making Shipgirls was that it needed a Wisdom Cube, but no one knew how to make it or if it could be made.
What is certain is that the Wisdom Cube is a metaphysical object that contains the thoughts, ideals and beliefs of humanity. This object is embodied in the ship which is its foundation, which is the origin of Shipgirls.
With the formation of an alliance, the humans and Shipgirls of their respective nations managed to restrain the Sirens and repulse them.
But the victory did not last long, the cause was the appearance of some mysterious Sirens who have common sense and are very strong, called Elite Sirens.
And Hell begins.
Under the command of Elite Sirens, humanity is in decline again, and that's not all. The number of humans had dropped to an extremely terrifying level to a level that could cause them to become extinct due to the large number of people being killed.
With such a crushing defeat, the remaining humans prefer to retreat and surrender their hopes to Shipgirls to battle Sirens.
But without a Commander to lead Azur Lane, the Shipgirls are in chaos, plus Sakura Empire and Iron Blood decide to leave Azur Lane and form their own alliance.
Threats from Sirens and rifts between nations have put the world on the verge of extinction.
That's when I happened to come into this world.
After knowing how bad the fate of humans in this world was, I decided to help them.
The Shipgirls of Azur Lane really appreciate my help because I'm the only human who has been willing to help them since the humans decided to back off.
Yes, human.
I decided to seal my power and make me a normal human because I feel so uncomfortable towards the Sirens, I feel as if they're always watching me out of nowhere.
Shipgirls made me a Commander, allowing me to lead them against the Sirens.
My first step in this war is to unite this whole divided nation.
It's very difficult, because some of them are difficult to approach and some are even allied with the Sirens, plus the interference from the sirens troops from time to time.
But in the end we managed to unite the whole nation, even though it took more than a year.
With the whole nation united, it's time to focus on fighting the Sirens.
However.
The power of the Elite Sirens is way above my expectations
They were very strong, one of them was enough to destroy a country with ease.
Many Shipgirls were injured, and if this continued it would end in our defeat.
Therefore, I couldn't hold myself back any longer. I can't stand to see my friends hurt and suffer while I just watch from afar.
For the first time since I became their commander, I advanced to the battlefield.
I immediately teleported to the site of the war, when I arrived I was immediately showered with shocked looks by everyone on the battlefield, both Shipgirls and Sirens.
The shipgirls were surprised to see me suddenly on the battlefield out of nowhere and added to the fact that I was standing above the water. Well, that's natural. Because I never told them that I was no longer human.
As for Sirens having different reactions, at first they were surprised then it turned into fun and interest, it's like their curiosity has been satisfied since my arrival.
Whatever it is I don't care, what I care about now is the safety of my shipgirls.
I asked Siren to leave this world and return to wherever they came from, but they refused, they didn't want the fun to end and wanted to see the final test results from this timeline.
I don't know what the last reason means but the first reason is enough for me.
I also released my true power, I couldn't bring out my full power because it could have a bad impact on the world and could be accidentally destroyed, so I only expended some of my power but it was enough to shake the world.
And the result was quite effective, Sirens' expression which was originally happy slowly turned into fear and anxiety.
Finally, the large army slowly retreated, which was a relief.
However, the Elite Sirens were still there and continued to stare at me. I could still feel the fear from them, but their expressions showed otherwise, it was full of happiness and admiration, even more so for one of the Siren named Purifier.
She laughed happily, there was no negative air to suggest that she was laughing sincerely from the bottom of her heart, and she said something that caught my attention.
"Hahahaha, this timeline is the best! I finally found you after so long", She said smiling, "See you later, My Dear", She added before she disappeared.
I wonder what she meant but she left, she said 'See you later' which means there is a possibility that she will appear again, I will ask her when the time comes.
The important thing is now that we have won and Sirens have been expelled from this world, ending the war that has been going on for years in this world.
Now all we have to do is restore all the chaos that occurred during the war.
The Humans also came to help after coming out of their hiding, they did not forget to thank us for saving this world.
It took a year for everything to return to normal, the humans returned to their daily lives, the Shipgirls who had been fighting for years were now able to relax and enjoy their lives.
All that's left now is myself.
What should I do now? The world is at peace and my role as commander should have ended with the end of the war.
The dilemma about my current goal, the Shipgirls did something that surprised me.
In a meeting attended by all the faction leaders in Azur Lane, they asked me to continue being their leader.
It surprised me, because I thought they no longer needed me since the war was over.
When I asked why, they replied that there was no one worthy but me to lead them.
I didn't know what to say but when I saw their faces filled with anxiety and fear at my rejection, I accepted their request.
Instantly their expressions were filled with joy and excitement, some of them even shed tears. I just smiled at the sight.
Same for me, I also can't bear to leave them. The time I spend with them is enough for me to make them the people I love.
With me becoming their official leader, leaving only one problem remaining, where I live.
This caused a heated debate among the faction leaders.
At first I suggested that I stay at Azur Lane headquarters only, but they rejected the proposal. They want me to live in their respective nations.
The debate is getting hotter, if it continues, there might be another war between nations.
Therefore, I propose a suggestion that is quite fair to them, namely that I will stay for two months in one nation before moving to another, the proposal is well received by them.
And now here I live, in the Sakura Empire. It's only been a month since I got here.
Walking in front of me now is I-168 or commonly called Iroha. She was chosen to be my secretary after winning in a randomly arranged election. Yes, the election was arranged randomly because everyone was scrambling to become my secretary.
"Commander!"
The shout from Iroha brought me out of my contemplation.
"Hmm? What is it?"
"You've been quiet all this time, is there a problem?", She asked, a slightly worried tone on her side.
"There is not anything", I said with a smile while patting her head, "It's just, I was thinking about the past when we were still at war"
"Oh, I see", She said, then she smiled gently, "It's all thanks to you, I don't know what would have happened if you weren't around"
"I didn't do anything, you know? All I did was watch you guys from behind while you guys went to fight on the front line"
"But you still help us, different from those humans. What's more then if you didn't come we would all have died"
I am quiet. My mind goes back to our last war against the Sirens.
"That time huh...", I said, I take a breath then face up, "When I saw you all were badly injured, I was furious. Then I realized my stupidity, I should have joined the fight with you, not just standing still while waiting for you to come home"
Then I felt a tiny hand gripping mine.
"You don't have to worry about that now, it's all in the past. You who stay with us until the end is more than enough for us", She said with a warm smile.
Seeing that smile made my worries disappear.
"You know, you are a strong person Iroha", I said with a smile, then I slightly regret what I said.
Iroha puffed out her small chest and smiled arrogantly, "Of course, who do you think I am. I am I-168, Sakura Empire's prided submarine"
"Yes, yes, I understand", I said as I passed her who was standing proudly.
"Ah, commander. Wait!", She shouted while chasing me.
.
After a few minutes of walking, we finally arrived at the settlement area, where the other Shipgirls live.
Busier than usual even though it was still early in the morning, many Shipgirls were working here and there, some were discussing, carrying things, making banners, and many others.
That makes sense, I think, because there are only a few days left as spring will turn into summer, and in about three weeks from now we will have a Summer Festival event.
Since it's such a big event, there will be many guests from other factions to come, which is why these Shipgirls from Sakura Empire are working hard to make this event a huge success.
What about me? Of course I'm working hard too, I'm sure there's a terrible pile of paperwork waiting on my desk.
During the walk, I didn't forget to greet them and talk about what they would do during the festival, some answered wanting to open a food stall, competitions, and also just walking around enjoying the festival.
"Everyone is working hard", I said.
"Yes. After all this is an event that we always do every year, even in times of war we still do it. Plus there will also be visitors from outside the nation", Reply Iroha.
"How about you? Do you have any plans for this festival?"
"Me? Just like last year, I'll just enjoy what they have at the festival later. I'd rather be served than served, you know"
"Well, I'm not surprised", I chuckled when she said something rather arrogant with a cheerful face.
"After all, I'm your secretary now, so I have to accompany you everywhere"
"Then, how about we go to the festival together. Say like a date?", I asked jokingly.
"Eh?", said Iroha with a flushed face, but I didn't pay attention because I was busy thinking about the festival.
Honestly I'm excited to go to this festival, last year I couldn't come because we were still at war, now we've entered a time of peace so I can't miss this festival.
"W-Well, if the commander asks I can't refuse. I, Iroha, will be your partner during the festival", Iroha's confident words snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Very well", I said with a smile seeing her spirit, "Now let's go"
"Yes", She said cheerfully.
.
The office where I work is in the residence of the leader of the Sakura Empire faction, Nagato, located in the highest place in the nation so that I can see the entire Sakura Empire, almost the same as my place but much more luxurious.
At the highest place there is a giant Sakura tree surrounded by a lake, above the lake is where Nagato's residence stands.
At first Nagato asked me to stay at her house, but I refused because it would be difficult for me to see the state of the other Shipgirls if I continued to be in a location far from where they were.
Nagato understand my reasoning, and she gave me the place to live that I have now.
Many Torii Gates lined up along the stairs leading to Nagato's place, indicating that the residence of the leader of the Sakura Empire was a sacred and important place.
Arriving at the top of the stairs, I could finally see Nagato's residence clearly, I entered after greeting some shipgirls and meowfficers who were cleaning the shrine.
This house was very big and spacious, so we had to go through a long and wide hallway first.
Well, it's not a hassle because the atmosphere in this house makes my heart peaceful, the environment around the house is clean, the lake water that surrounds the house is clear, the wind is cool because we are in the highlands.
Right in the middle, there is a giant Sakura tree that makes the surrounding area full of pink because of the reflection of its leaves.
Under the tree, there was a building that Nagato used for meetings.
Speaking of Nagato, I saw her walking out of the building with Mutsu following behind, so I went to greet them.
"Hey Nagato, Mutsu", I said waving to them, they both turned to look at me.
"Ah, Commander, good morning", Nagato said with a friendly smile.
"Morning Commander", Mutsu said cheerfully.
"As usual, you guys do that every morning huh", I said.
"Yes, the tree is a sacred tree for us and a symbol of the nation. It has accompanied us for hundreds of years, so we pay our respects and prayers every morning", Nagato replied.
"I see", I said, then I saw something was missing from them, "By the way, where's Kawakaze? I don't see her"
"Kawakaze just left, she had a discussion with Takao about the duties of a security guard during the festival", Mutsu said.
"Hmm, well everyone seems really busy this morning, I just came from downstairs and saw them all working hard"
"Everyone will want this festival to be as successful and lively as possible, they will definitely want to do what's best for you commander", said Nagato with a smile.
"I hope they don't push themselves too much, but I can't wait to enjoy this festival either. It's been a long time since I enjoyed it", I said with a sense of nostalgia, "What are your plans after this, Nagato?"
"Mutsu and I after here are planning to go downstairs as well to look at other work, as well as help if anyone needs help", reply Nagato, "What's the commander doing after this?"
"I'm going to my office, I think there's already a pile of documents waiting for me there", I said with a wry smile.
"I see, do you need help?"
"I don't think so, I already have Iroha helping me", I said while pointing back at the submarine which was looking at her reflection in the lake water, Mutsu somehow joined her.
Nagato nodded, "Still, if you need more help please just say so, after all….. this is all I can do to repay your kindness", Nagato said with her voice slowly getting smaller at the end, I also noticed that her long fox ears were drooping down.
Oh no, not this again.
I've seen so many Shipgirls in this condition, it's all because they owe me so much for being willing to help them win the war, they feel that gratitude isn't enough and sometimes they feel guilty about it.
I sighed, then I ruffled Nagato's hair with my hand which made her flinch a little.
Normally an act like this would make the other Shipgirls angry because this was an insult to their faction leader, but I was the Commander. I am their leader, and my position is above all the faction leaders.
"Hey Nagato, look at me", I said as I bent down until my head was level with hers.
With a flushed face, Nagato looked at me.
"I've said this to others many times, but I'll still say it", I said looking into her eyes, "No matter how many times you are in such a situation, I will continue to help you, because you deserve it. You have fought a force greater than your own and you have persisted even when you have been in a state of urgency for hundreds of years. That alone is enough for me to help you. So please don't ever think like that again because it hurts me a lot when you guys are sad like this"
Nagato's eyes widened at my words, then she wiped away the few tears that fell from her eyes, then she slowly smiled, "S-Sorry commander, I didn't mean it like that"
"Hey it's okay, it's better now we go to our respective jobs, I think I'm already late from the schedule I made myself", I said trying to change the topic.
"Eh, ah, you're right. Mutsu, let's go. And Iroha, please take good care of the commander", said Nagato who returned to her usual mode.
"Of course, Lady Nagato", said Iroha proudly.
"Good, then we'll excuse ourselves, Commander", she said then she left with Mutsu waving at me.
Now it's just the two of us here.
"Alright, then let's go"
"Yes", the answer is short.
Hmm? What's with an answer like that, I feel something is wrong here.
"Iroha?"
"That's the romantic moment you had with Lady Nagato just now", she said as she walked in front of me.
…
I see. I think I understand what's bothering her. Then I smirked at her from behind.
"Looks like someone's jealous"
"Just your feelings", she replied curtly, still not wanting to look me in the face.
"Eeeh, but I feel like it"
Without saying anything, Iroha quickened her pace and left me.
I just watched her walk before sighing, "It will really be a long morning"
.
After some time spent trying to cheer up Iroha, we finally arrived at my office.
My office is quite simple, has a sofa and a table to serve guests, or you could call it a place to relax for the Shipgirls when they drop by.
My desk is at the end and my back is a portrait of myself in a Navy suit.
Iroha's desk is also there and not too far from my own.
There is also a simple kitchen here to make coffee or other drinks when I'm resting.
To the right of my desk there is a door that leads directly to my personal library where I put the books I haven't read, I go to the library when I feel bored or finish work too quickly so I have a lot of free time.
Ever since I stopped being human and became something else, I've never felt tired or the need to sleep, rest has become a routine more than a necessity for me now. Thanks to that I can finish my work quickly and have a lot of free time.
I turned my attention to my desk and then sighed, as I expected because of the summer festival, the pile of documents was growing every day. I looked at Iroha and she was also experiencing the same thing as me even though she had less.
Without many words, the two of us headed to our desks and did our respective jobs.
Time passed without me realizing it because I was too busy doing my job.
Most of my work is done on this table, there are many reports that I have to sign such as festival progress reports, Rigging damage, supply replenishment, as well as marine safety reports around the Sakura Empire area and many others.
When it was time for lunch, I went with Iroha to the dining room at Nagato's house. Instead of continuing to eat in my office, the two of us joined Nagato and the others who had returned from below where Shipgirls was doing the festival preparations.
Speaking of Iroha, the little girl is currently playing with her white furry friend, her work was done half an hour ago.
"Commander", Iroha said suddenly.
"Hm?", I said glancing at her before returning to the report I was reading.
"I'm bored"
"Then?"
"Entertain me!"
I sighed, that's what happens when she's bored.
"Okay", I said after signing the report, "Once Upon a time…."
"STOP!", she shouted suddenly.
"What is it?", I asked slightly annoyed when I wanted to tell my past greatness.
"You're definitely going to tell that boring story again right?", she said with a frown.
"Hey, rude! My story is my favourite"
"Yes, but since I've heard your stories too many times it will bore me"
"Ugh!", she is right, indeed I have told him a lot about my story of my life, anyone would be bored.
"Then go out for a walk, there's still an hour before we go home", I said with a sigh.
"Really? Then how about you?"
"I still have some more work to do, don't worry about me, it's easy for me to do"
"Hmm, fine if you say so. I'll go first Commander", she said as she headed for the exit, but she stopped when she opened the door and turned around, "Before I go, if you need anything call me, because there's nothing I can't do", and with that she left.
I just shook my head while chuckling before returning to my work.
.
A monotonous job is one that is tedious because we have to do the same thing over and over again, that's what I'm experiencing now when I sign the documents that are piling up on my desk.
But anyway I can't complain here, because this is my responsibility as commander. So compared to fighting to protect the world, work like signing documents is easy for me.
"And this is the last one", I said after I finished signing the supply report coming into the Sakura Empire from the Azur Lane headquarters and the human government.
Keep in mind that the Azur Lane Alliance Force is an independent organization separate from the human government, and due to the small number of humans in the world, Azur Lane's influence is more dominant.
It was caused by Queen Elizabeth, the leader of the Royal Navy faction, to rebel against humans after she felt betrayed by humans when they withdrew from the war and made the Shipgirls their shield.
After the war, the relationship between humans and Shipgirls slowly improved even though it took a long time.
"Haah", I sighed and leaned back in the chair to relax after a long day's work.
I waited for Iroha but she didn't come, it was quite confusing but I thought she might be walking outside and lost track of time.
I had nothing else to do, so I decided it was time to go home.
I went to see Nagato to tell her I was going home and she escorted me to the gate of her house.
I walked the same path I walked this morning because it was the only way to Nagato's house.
When I got to the bottom, I saw that there was a crowd near the pier where the ship was anchored. Out of curiosity I went there and saw someone unexpected.
"Hey, Ayanami", I said. The little girl who has milk brown hair turned to me.
"Oh, Commander. Long time no see", her greetings.
"Well, it's been a long time. Why are you here? Aren't you staying at headquarters?"
"It's because there will be a festival soon, so Ayanami decided to help"
"I see, thank you Ayanami. How about your friends?"
"Javelin and the others will come a few days before the festival"
I nodded before turning to the crowd, "By the way do you know what happened there?"
"It looks like Iroha and Hamman are having a fight"
Hm?
Iroha? Hamman? Without thinking I immediately rushed into the crowd, the others immediately opened the way when they saw me.
And sure enough, in the middle of it all were Iroha and Hamman glaring at each other.
"Grr, then let's have a cooking match!", shouted Hamman while pointing at Iroha.
"Very well! Let's see who is greater among us", replied Iroha crossing her arms.
Eh?
