"Wait- now?" Koharu says, breaking her elegant façade purposefully for the first time in this universe (he had trained that out of the last one- no use for elegance as a shinobi, particularly during a time of war. Her life was more important than her appearance). "Against these civilians?" The Wave team bristles at the term, having earned their shinobi title through hard work even if they weren't part of any officially recognized village. Miku and Toshiaki exchange a glance and Tobirama knows without asking that Koharu will be going through hell. He sighs, deciding to interrupt before the Konoha kids really screw themselves over.

"Yes, now, and yes, against them. If you're so confident you'll win then it shouldn't be a problem, correct?" At this point, goading them is becoming necessary. They look so... unwilling to fight against people they see as civilians. Well, except Danzo, but Kagami already has him on a leash. Tobirama doesn't even understand how those two become so close so quickly. It's not even a one-time thing- they had become fast friends in the last universe as well. Maybe even boyfriends. He's never sure with those two. They act so strange.

"Well..." Kagami says hesitantly, "Don't you have to ask their parents? Or something?" Tobirama can see the Wave kids exchange amused glances while he laughs.

"Oh, hell no," He says, completely flatly and seriously. "You will come to learn that parents are the most terrifying people to exist." Homura scoffs and he's usually so mild-mannered... that decides it, then. Tobirama turns to the Wave kids.

"Destroy them," he says cheerfully and proceeds to get the hell out of dodge, launching himself into the branches near enough to watch but (hopefully) far enough that he won't get caught up in whatever his idiot students decide is a smart thing to do. The Wave team takes the words for what they are, immediately launching into a frontal attack against the significantly less prepared Konoha team. Perhaps not the best choice against stronger opponents, out-numbered or not, but Tobirama has faith that they have an actual plan. Toshiaki and Miku scatter while the other five distract the Konoha team. It's their classic plan, the one they fall back on if they don't have time to plan anything more elaborate. It's a smart enough strategy- it usually earns them time if not outright allowing them to defeat their opponents. At this point, it's 50/50 chance.

"Wait-" Kagami realizes suddenly, ducking under a punch from Atsuko that manages to level a tree several feet away. He's glad to know they haven't been slacking on their training while he's been absent. "-weren't there more of them before?" Tobirama can see the realization and unease flood over the Konoha team as they realize that their upper hand could very well be a lie. Still, the five Wave kids are holding their own fairly well. Haruka has it the worst, taking on both Homura and Hiruzen. They outnumbered and are more of a support shinobi, leaving them in a tricky place. They're focusing on Homura, their weaker opponent, but Tobirama can tell it's taking a lot out of them. By the quick glances Atsuko keeps giving them, it's clear she's aware of it too. She's in the best position, really, with an edge over Kagami as he scrambles about, unable to get any breathing room. Tobirama's attention is drawn away by a yelp and he turns just in time to see Sora drawing away as Miku and Toshiaki descend upon Koharu like the hellish creatures they are. Trusting he teammates to take care of her, Sora then proceeds to help Haruka get out of Homura and Hiruzen's clutches. Then, in seconds, the Wave team has vanished into the forest, leaving only Ayame standing there, smirking.

"You're all losers," she taunts, truly an insult worthy of a child. Kagami shrieks, insulted, and lunges for Ayame. Just like that, the hunt is on. Ayame takes off into the forest, the Konoha team in tow. All except for Koharu, unconscious and trapped from Toshiaki and Miku, and Torifu, always the smart one. Tobirama lingers long enough to see Torifu remove Koharu and bring her to the center of the clearing before he follows his other students. The Wave team is scattered, a loose circle around the Konoha team as Ayame leads them on a wild goose chase. He hesitates, debating with himself, before he decides to catch up with the group instead of following around one of lone kids. They've slowed, lost in the unfamiliar forest as Ayame took advantage of her home. She's leading them exactly where she wants them with planned out rustles and evil cackles. The only one that looks suspicious about it all is Danzo but his affection for Kagami keeps him following as his natural secrecy keeps him from telling the others. Tobirama really has to do something about that.

"Wait," Danzo says suddenly, yanking Kagami back by his collar.

"What was that for?" Kagami complains, twisting in Danzo's hold.

"Look." There, where Kagami had been about to step, is a trap. It's not very well hidden, as if Toshiaki had rushed through laying it down. Tobirama arches a brow, shifting back on his perch curiously. What are his brats planning?

"There's more there," Homura points out, gesturing to roughly below where Tobirama himself is. Ayame's laugh echoes off the trees again, egging the Konoha team onwards, towards their defeat. It's starting to look more inevitable the longer this drags on. They're giving their enemies time to plan as well as have the homefield advantage; a generally fatal mistake in a real world situation. Hiruzen plants his hands on his hips.

"Well, there's only one way forward!" With that, he and Kagami take the lead... and walk straight into an excellently hidden pitfall trap. Tobirama darts to a better vantage point, leaning carefully over the pit to find Hiruzen and Kagami somehow wrapped in ropes, trapped against the walls. Tobirama will have to grill Toshiaki on how he manages that.

"Idiots," Danzo scoffs, but obediently heads over to the pit, likely to help Kagami. He never gets the chance, Ayame whipping out of the woods at record speeds (for her), slamming into Danzo and sending them tumbling to the ground. The other Wave kids poor out of the woods much like what their island is named after and Homura and Danzo stand no chance. The pair are tied together, more securely than the pair in the pit are.

"Hey Toshi," Atsuko calls, testing the binds. "Can you make your trap do the-" she makes a strange motion with her hands "-fwoop thing?" Sora's head snaps up at speeds that has Tobirama worrying for the safety of his neck.

"Oh! Wait, can I do it? It's so fun!" Atsuko glances at Toshiaki who shrugs.

"You remember how to do it?" He asks. Sora nods his head emphatically. "Go ahead, then." Sora cheers and bounds over to the pitfall, skidding to a stop bare centimeters from the edge. He crouches down, pressing his fingertips into the dirt. Tobirama is only a little surprised when Sora reaches his chakra into the earth below. The Wave kids where always more imaginative with their chakra than genin usually are- he guesses it must come from the lack of shinobi on the island. Without constantly getting the 'rules' of chakra subliminally pounded into their skulls, they're less wary of breaking said 'rules'. Before Tobirama can dive too deeply into that train of thought, Sora's chakra triggers- something and the ropes in the pitfall snap together in seconds, dragging their captives along with them. When it all finishes, Hiruzen and Kagami are left at the bottom of the pit in a ball of rope.

"This is humiliating," Kagami complains.

"Shouldn't'a gotten caught then," Sora returns, jumping carefully into the pitfall. He grabs them, hands charged with chakra, and grins ferally. "Catch!" He flings the ball upwards, Hiruzen and Kagami screeching all the way. Atsuko does, in fact, manage to catch them as Sora climbs out of the pit once more.

"We still need to get that other one," Atsushi says quietly. "The one that stayed back with the girl who called us civilians." The travel back to the clearing is quicker that the travel out, Toshiaki and Miku leading the way to make sure no one stumbles into of their many traps. Torifu is indeed still back at the clearing, standing near the still unconscious Koharu. He takes in the sights (the 'sights' being the Wave team with the rest of his team trussed up) and sighs.

"I surrender," he says blandly. Tobirama frowns at the anticlimactic end to the impromptu test but before he can egg Torifu on, the only thing he fears steps out of the forest, hands on her hips and an assessing look on her face.

"Now what is going on here?" Asks Aiko, mother to Miku and most terrifying person on Wave.
