Tobirama does Konoha the favour of camping outside the village, this time, instead of breaking in to return the clan heirs and members that he technically kidnapped. The children are clearly excited to be back even if they are also strangely subdued. Shukaku has made a sandpit on one side of their camp, building impressively detailed structures with Torifu while Kagami tries– and fails –to help. Danzo is sitting as close as he can get to Kagami without actually touching the sand. Homura, Koharu, and Hiruzen are sitting closer to Tobirama himself, clearly in the midst of planning something. He's only half paying attention to the trio, catching mentions of his name, a petition, the Hokage, and several other factors that almost makes him feel bad for unleashing them on Konoha.

Almost, because he had been the brother of Itama and Kawarama, and he's far more like them than most people assume. They got their mischievous streak from someone and it certainly wasn't their father.

"Senju!" A familiar voice snarls, overwhelmingly loud and shattering the peaceful air that had settled over the camp. The team is tense as a bowstring in seconds but Shukaku just perks up excitedly.

"At ease," Tobirama says fondly, climbing to his feet. He's proud of how far they've come, particularly with him… not at his best and with the constant travel. Although, their chakra-sensing is abysmal considering they've been under his care and his own chakra-sensing is good enough that, at one point, he had lost his sight and hadn't been affected at all. A blur of blue and flickering fire launches out of the trees, slamming into Tobirama as some sort of quick stop with enough force that he stumbles back a step or two. Matatabi is springing away again before Tobirama can do much more than steady himself, gathering Shukaku up into her arms. He pulls his gaze away from them, looking up into the trees where there are a few children, one of whom he faintly recognizes, and an Uchiha Madara that looks like he's been to hell and back.

"Hello," Tobirama says politely. Madara doesn't answer, looking halfway between crying and committing mass murder.

"I've come to trade…?" He offers hesitantly. He can feel the dark glare that Matatabi immediately levels him like a brand even as the Konoha kids begin to gather around him and Madara deflates in confusion like a popped balloon.

He still can't believe that he managed to convince Matatabi, Nibi, to travel with him.

Or that he thought it was a good idea.

"What." Madara says flatly. Tobirama smiles, dropping a hand onto the nearest child's head. That ends up being Danzo– he almost loses his hand for his troubles. Damn gremlin of a child.

"These," he says, referring to his team, "are technically yours, I believe. And I'm sure Matatabi would love to be reunited with her brother for longer than a few minutes." He pauses, considering. "Not that any of us could stop her, if our wants don't align with hers." Madara makes a sound not unlike a tea kettle but slightly lower pitched– Tobirama wasn't aware he could go that high; it's rather impressive –and presses a hand to his eyes like an overworked parent.

"You do realise you're not supposed to be waltzing around like this, right? Especially so close to the village you left," Madara complains. Tobirama smirks.

"You're welcome to try and stop me."
