Everything around me was in darkness. I was in darkness. I mean, that's kind of what I expected. Though, it sucks being in the dark for a lot of time.
After about a few minutes of being in the dark, I vaguely start to hear voices coming from all sides of me. They all seemed to be guys since their voices were deep. So, was I a guy now? Or was I still a girl? We're about to find out once I start waking up.
"…Is she waking up?" I heard one of them say.
"…It seems so." I heard another one of them say.
Oh. So I'm still a girl, huh. Well, that's good to know I guess.
My eyes flutter open to see two strange looking guys. They kinda looked similar to Hagoromo in a way. With the horns coming out of their heads and everything. One of them, the bigger one of the two, walked over to me and I soon got a clearer vision of him. I slowly sit upright and start to stand up off the ground. After finally standing upright, the bigger guy looked at me. The smaller one that was sitting on a rock also looked at me as well.
"It looks like you're finally awake, Lady Miwa." The bigger one says to me. "But you should continue to rest. Your illness can't be treated right now and me and Lord Momoshiki were discussing other matters."
I raised an eyebrow at this guy and looked at him as if he were stupid or something. I turned to look at this "Lord Momoshiki" guy, who had a soft expression that varied from his serious tone. The other guy's expression was also soft.
"Who are you? Where am I? And why the hell are you looking at me like I'm your daughter or something?"
There were a lot of things that were different now, but that all could wait. What I wanted to know was why were these people treating me like I'm their daughter, where the hell am I, and who these people were. And, illness? I'll have you know that I was a very healthy girl for my age so I'm definitely not sick.
"Don't tell me…is she suffering from amnesia too, Kinshiki?"
"She shouldn't be. Her illness, from what we've gathered so far, is one that affects the insides."
"I see. Well Miwa, it seems that your memory is a bit hazy. Kinshiki, is your guardian as well as my guardian. And I, Momoshiki, am your sibling, your brother if you will. You're in another dimension right now and we were discussing other matters while also tending to your every need. You have a terminal illness that can possibly kill you, if not treated right away. I hope you understand that."
I stay silent for a while as I slowly process what I just heard. After a while, I nod my head and grab the cloak that was on the floor. Well, that's what I thought it was. Since it was hot in this dimension, I decided to wait until we moved to somewhere colder. They both nod and then look at each other, I'm guessing they were going to go back to what they were probably talking about before I woke up. And I was right.
"So, is that one bad too?"
I looked over at the small little rolled up piece of paper that was in Kinshiki's hand. It slowly disappeared into thin air.
"It appears so. Not a single one of Kaguya's scrolls survived."
Oh, so that's what it's called. A scroll, huh.
"Tsk."
Suddenly, from out of nowhere, another strange looking guy showed up. I turned my attention over to him as he began to speak to Momoshiki.
"Lord Momoshiki. You're still here, huh?"
"How's the search for the chakra fruit coming along?"
The guy starts to ramble on about how they haven't seen each other in ages and that he expected some sort of greeting after it's been so long. I mentally snorted when Momoshiki just glared at him, looking irritated. I saw for a split second, some veins popped out around his eyes.
"Okay okay, calm down. Of course I looked into it."
A portal slowly begins to open up and Momoshiki turns his attention to the opening portal, along with Kinshiki. "This was the region that Kaguya watched over? Hm. I can't wait to find that chakra." He then jumps off of the rock he was sitting on.
The both of them walked towards the portal and then walked into the portal, leaving just me and that guy. "Hey, you're leaving already?! Hey!"
The guy crouched down with a wry grin on his face. "I see you're as unsociable as ever, my dear Momo."
He jumped down to the portal and before he stepped into the portal after Momoshiki and Kinshiki, he glanced over at me. "Oh and Lady Miwa, I see you're awakened after that deep sleep you were in. Well, I'm glad to see you're still doing well."
He smiled at me before walking into the portal. I decided to follow them since I didn't want to be alone in this place but before I walked through, I was hit with an immense headache. All of the memories of Miwa and the knowledge of the Shinobi World slowly engulfed my memories, my mind, and my spirit entirely.
(And that's when I became Miwa Ōtsutsuki, the ill, pacifist Ōtsutsuki.)
But the story doesn't end off there.
I stepped into the portal and seeing that we were in outer space, I started to float on instinct. I flew over to the three of them as the portal closed up.
