A/N: As promised, here's the final part to the P.L.E. Arc. Review Time!

To Murtaito: Fun Fact; 'Female' variations of Nightmares are much rarer and are, base wise, stronger considering their deity is female, though that's speculation among their race. Awesome it was to your liking, the next part, time for some teamwork!

Enjoy.

Chapter 54 - Rescue to Perfection

In a superhuman society, lives can change in an instant, from massive events that can spark wonder, joy, peace, there are times when the bonds of those traits are tested, horror, despair, chaos, and it is up to heroes to uphold the light in whatever way they can. This is what it means to be a hero, to be the light in people's lives.

"Azuru!" At her name, Yuki came to a halt at the edge of the ruined city, turning to find the familiar raven-haired girl, Yukio running to her aid. "Allow me to assist you, I may not house many defensive or support-related abilities, but," She kept her visible eye forward. "It is still my duty to aid those in need."

Smiling at her offer, Yuki gave a nod, passing her a small earpiece. Then she spotted one of her own friends at the back of the pack. One being a man of darkness, "Thanks - Tokoyami!" He turned to Yuki and Yukio's approach. "Mind lending us yours and Dark Shadow's aid?"

He gave the nod almost instantly. "If you require my hand I shall offer it, lead the way,"

"Good, catch," While they ran she tossed him a small communication piece too. "This is good, with Tokoyami's Dark Shadow we can scout out the best routes, and with Yukio's ice she can help keep unstable buildings firm." "Okay, both of you to get into the mindset that this here is real," She swung her arm to the decimated land. "The people here are hurt, in peril, we're all they have to give them hope, so, any idea this is an exam, throw that aside and save lives!"

"Got it." "Understood."

"Help!" The second she heard it, Yuki held her arm out, allowing her scan to detect a technological device through a fallen slab of a wall that was held up by what she assumed was an old scaffold of some kind. "Somebody help me!"

"Follow my lead!" She waved them over, spotting the man struggling within, his leg trapped under some rubble. Bottling up her anxious heart, Yuki flipped her mask to her temple, crouching down to fit into the small under passage. "I see you; please remain calm, just look at me, okay?" The middle-aged man locked his eyes to her soft orbs, a small smile on her face. "That's it, I'm Azuru, my team and I will get you out so just focus on me." "God, I'm thankful I can talk now..."

"M-my leg, I-I think it's broken," He winced. Nodding, Yuki motioned to her shadow user.

"Tokoyami; You and Yukio need to lift the slab of wall over us; that'll free up the pressure on his leg, when I do wait until I give the word to drop it."

"Roger," Tokoyami replied, using Black Abyss to bolster his strength and lift the concrete alongside Yukio who froze her gauntlets, lifting with her legs

Once the rubble was lifted, Yuki smiled at the wary man. "This will hurt, but I can heal you so brace yourself." With a nod, Yuki used her left to easily remove the rubble, pressing her right fingers gently to the 'Injured' leg, to her right eye's surprise, the man had a preexisting problem in his left leg, nodding to herself, she let her nanomachines work their magic, repairing the weakened bone gradually. "Okay, give me your arm, we'll take you to safety."

Once out, Yukio pointed back through the city. "There's a medical checkpoint set back outside the city's edge, I can take him there with haste."

Smiling under her mask, Yuki carefully handed the man to Yukio. "Be careful, his leg is healing but any unnecessary trauma could damage it further." After a small agreement, she took off, the man eyeing the duo and the girl that carried him to safety in her arms

"That girl's ability to coordinate these two is remarkable, but it was her calming aura that truly stands out, if she had worn that mask on approach she could come off as a villain and frighten a citizen, so she removed it," Then he wiggled his toes. "She even mended that old injury of mine, and this girl's handling me with care too, well done."

"Are you well?" Yukio inquired

"Y-yes, thank you." He spoke warily

While Yukio sent the man to safety, Yuki's scan detected several more injured. "Tokoyami," Her finger prodded a lopsided building. "Fifth floor, a person is hiding in a storage closet and it's been blocked off, see to it they're unharmed and safely extract them."

"On it." He nodded, taking off with a push from Dark Shadow. While that happened Yuki snapped her eyes to a familiar guy with tape arms swinging into view, yelling to someone to go right.

"Sero!" He turned to Yuki, her arm waving him down while she followed the sound of labored breaths. "I need you to create a pully using that lamppost and this slab of concrete, I need to fit inside."

"Sure thing," He followed her instructions, pulling by his elbows which allowed Yuki the time to bend the metal rebar nearby, molding the metal to merge with the tarmac, creating support braces. "A-are ya done?"

"Drop it gently." She asked while squeezing inside, using a few nanomachines to light her way like fireflies, finding a woman semi-conscious on the ground. "Found you," Moving quickly, she did a quick analysis of their biology, from the fake blood on her forehead it was clearly a concussion. "Sero, be ready to handle someone with a concussion." She heard them murmur, so while careful to lift the woman into her arms, Yuki placed their arms into their lap. "Ma'am, I know this is scary, but heroes are here to save you, just concentrate on breathing slow and steady for us."

With some effort, the two safely freed the woman from under the debris, seeing that both Tokoyami, with a younger man in Dark Shadow's hands, and a returning Yukio approached. Not wasting a breath, Yuki ensured the woman's head rested on her lap. "Sero, can you carefully take this woman back to the safe zone," She asked while wrapping up their head with a bandage.

"Not a problem, and you?" He asked, helping the woman onto his back, using his tape to act as a belt around their waist and back

"I still need to direct the others that might be lost or confused, I can bend most of the rubble to my advantage, and with Yukio's ice, we can stabilize most without me needing to distort too much of the landscape," Yuki put her arm out. "There are too many variables and unstable paths and that's why the four of us have the best likelihood of seeing these hazards are resolved quickly and efficiently for all parties not just our own."

Taking a breath, Yuki handed Sero an earpiece too. "Tokoyami and Sero will proceed to the safe zone with the injured, myself and Yukio will continue to scout out civilians and either assist ourselves or group up with heroes in the area," She waved her hand. "Now go! Every second is precious and we can't afford to hesitate, heroes!" Strict, coordinated, and completely sincere, all these qualities came rushing forth without Yuki's knowledge

"You heard her, go, leave the rest to us," Yukio declared, the boys rushing off while the pair ran deeper into the chaos, seeing many other students working tirelessly to aid those within buildings, most of which Yuki crossed off her list

This became routine, locate an injured or missing person, if another hero was in the area they'd ask for support and offer assurance to those victims in need. So much was processing in Yuki's mind, her directives, her coordination of other groups that were struggling to come to terms with how to follow through on their instincts. It was a slow but steady pace, they had to be efficient but not sloppy and hasty, lives were resting on their shoulders, and that was a burden no shortcut could risk.

"Hey, Azuru, we could use your help here!" Running to one of Shiketsu's students, the man with hair over his body, she saw him holding up a large mound of debris. "There's someone inside but I can't expend any more hair, please lend them your aid."

"Here's a better idea, Yukio, freeze it in place!" At the call, Yuki moved to the lip of the slanted building, pressing her hands to the exposed rebar, using the matter around them to reinforce the pillars while an arctic chill ran over Mora's back, Yukio's hands slithering across the debris, freezing it with a trail of ice, fusing it temporarily to the side of the building while Mora removed his hairs. "Okay, move back!"

Pulling her arms backward, she manipulated the metal into curving across the underside of the frozen rubble, turning the once pile of debris into a study, frozen overhang. Waving her hand she motioned for them to come under. "Move, I've detected two pulses within."

"Amazing work, I thank you," Mora bowed in gratitude, Yuki staying outside to ensure the structural integrity of the overhang while many students ran for the rest of the streets outside, and yet something seemed off to her... like things were progressing too smoothly

You suspect there is more? | Given the pandemonium before I had my doubts | Perhaps this was merely the second act

*Boom-Boom-Boom-BOOM!*

Like fate, a series of timed explosions rocked the arena, just as Mora and Yukio emerged with two older adults, they stopped to inspect as Yuki did, her eyes scanning the area. They were timed purposefully; it seems her nagging sensation kicked in. "So here comes the third..." She put her hand out to the pair. "Take them to safety; we've got incoming hostiles."

~A villain has completed another large-scale attack~

"I see, so there was more to this than we believed..." Mora hummed, following Yuki who led the way, leaping onto a vantage point over the city and the small flatland between them and the safe zone

"Everyone in the area, keep the evacuation going, anyone who's listening that's at the safe zone be prepared to defend the injured!" She had been handing out her small earpieces to those that she could find, even if they didn't listen to her she still threw them, and hopefully, her network would pay off for such a contingency. "Villains are sweeping the streets so everyone should stay in groups of two."

"She's planned this far ahead...?" Mora stared up at the girl on the ledge, Yukio merely kept her eyes forward, she had a job to do. "She was one of the two kidnapped by the League of Villains, I suppose anyone in that situation would adapt to such a threat with haste, smart."

To Yuki's eye, she spotted the small army of masked men, all falling under their leader, shocking her most of all. The Number Ten Hero, Gang Orca. She gave him credit, he did fall under her category of heroes that looked like villains, like herself. Only now her admiration turned to worry, he may not be in his element with water around, but he had some serious strength and abilities.

~The terrorists have appeared and have begun to sweep the area, hero candidates on the scene must continue their rescue efforts while also suppressing the newly arrived villains~

This was alot for them to handle. Had it been merely a disaster of some kind, Yuki could easily coordinate, this was a battle of two fronts. On one part she could stay with the rescue teams and keep the flow of evacuations going but run the risk of leaving those with far less strength-related Quirks to defend the victims. If she ran then she'd have to focus on the battle not coordinating rescue ops. It was a tough call, leaving her frozen in place while her brain ran for an answer.

"I have to make a choice," Yuki clenched her fist, eyes wavering. "I can't hesitate or they'll be hurt!" She needed to move! "I can't let them end up like me!"

Blood. Searing pain. Fractured bones. Infection. All those scars now stained her body, itching...

"Yuki!" Snapped from her trance, she found a hand chop down on her forehead, belonging to Sero. "Quit standing there and go help them!"

She blinked, opening her mouth to speak but he shook his head, he didn't need to see it to know she was overthinking, it's her biggest weakness. Putting a thumb to his chest he used the other to pat her back. "Go and save them, leave the rescuing to us, you've done your part."

"Sero..." That look in his eyes told her, 'everything is okay', she had been overthinking, I guess that's just how she rolls. With a hand raised, the two passed with a tag-out high-five, right now, there were people in need of saving, but there were also... "Heroes that need our aid!" "SIVA... Augment...!"

"Get everyone to safety!" Shindo took off before Izuku could move to advance

"Shindo, wai-!"

"Do it, get them as far away from the villains as possible!" He wouldn't allow them to be caught in their battle, they needed time so this was all he could do. "I'll start hammering away at the henchmen at one-second intervals." He placed his palms to the earth, setting off a massive wave of rumbles that tore up the earth, throwing the small legion into disarray. He cracked a grin. "Weren't expecting that-"

His eyes couldn't register the black form in time. "Nice try!" The piercing red eye was all he could fathom before a hypersonic screech rippled his eardrums, rendering him unconscious before Gang Orca

Izuku saw this, left stunned as their attacker was knocked out cold. Then he saw it, Gang Orca's resolve, he wasn't holding his punches even if they are kids, this was a battle, and the only way to win is to fight. "A single frontline to hold us back... tch, you've underestimated me." He sneered

His hand lowered from his eye, snapping to the left with another sonic screech that tore through the hail of red blasts. He didn't miss the red and black blur that spun around, striking his forearm with a horizontal kick, followed by a flip and boot to the hand, landing to take the defense for the safe zone. Yuki's body roared with fire, her thruster cutting out behind her shoulder blades, the bladed ends of her armor condensing once more.

"Izuku, you and the others get those people out of here, I can hold him back!" She declared, fingers snapping with red bolts.

His mouth closed, hesitating slightly, "Yuki... alright!" He turned with the civilian in his arms, running to group with the others while leaving the attack to the person he trusted the most. "Good luck..."

"Really, one hero to stop us?" Orca mused, so Yuki chuckled under her mask

"Oh, don't think I can handle you?" She closed her fists, widening her stance. "Tch, you've underestimated me." She always wanted to use a villain's line against them, it felt awesome! "Ahem, focus, Yuki, gotta keep Shindo safe until more heroes arrive, and priorities on taking out the boss," She glanced at the armed thugs. "Trapping weapons, they'll not attack unless they see an opening, better stay on guard."

Yuki tore apart the ground behind her with a small skip, using a small overturned slab of earth to shield Shindo while she lunged with her right arm folded back. "Here I come, villain!" She activated her booster, flinging herself over his sonic blast, bringing her right hook across his readied left forearm, the thick, leather arm tossing her back while she zipped back down with Perfected Impact, the ax-kick disturbing the land under them while his arms blocked her heel

"Is that all, hero, I expected more!" He boasted, tossing her down as several guns sounded. She quickly whipped around, using a curved energy blast to disperse the wet cement, flipping to a handstand. She evaded Orca's left cross, kicking back while using his shoulders to leap for Perfected Divide to ring across his temple, tossing the villain around a few feet. "Lucky shot."

She landed, fists at the ready. "I am the Enhanced Hero, Aksis, and so long as I'm standing, not a single person will suffer anymore!" It was her pride, that was her standing, the quality she lived for. For those that may or could endure the same pain she has, she'll never back down from doing what's right.

Orca's eyes slit. "She's holding her own, protecting the civilians and her fallen comrade while proclaiming a valiant vow to try and distill fear amongst my team, she's not blowing hot air but how long can she hold up those ideals?" His taut hands closed, willing and ready to find out the resolve of this student

Suddenly, Orca turned his attention from Yuki in favor of the massive barrage of ice that swept the area, forcing him to use his ultrasonic screech to obliterate the ice. To Yuki's relief, Shoto and the others had finally arrived to back up the civilians. Shaking off her bliss she focused on the now immobilized army, some managed to steer clear of the ice but they could still flank.

"I'll leave the villain to you, Shoto!" Switching targets she dived under Orca's backswing, sliding across the ice to intercept the villains. Some took heed and raised their weapons, spitting quick-drying cement in vain to slow her down.

Reactivating her bladed augments she used the ones on her shins to dig through the ice like ice shakes, manoeuvring around the villains to deliver one-two punches, disarming or destroying their gear to keep them from causing trouble. Some did manage to stick Yuki, but with a little propulsion from her thruster and a graceful twirl, she flung the gunk off, fly-kicking two villains out cold. She felt bad for them, they're justing doing their jobs so hopefully a small nap won't be so bad.

"She's unstoppable!" "What the hell's with UA's students!?" "Aw man, shoot her!"

"Not a chance," She ducked under their bombardment, using a burst from her palms and back to throw herself through the rainfall of cement. "There is no way I came this far," She brought up her right leg, red contrails following her leg as she brought ti down with a warcry, many screaming in terror as they ran away from her point of attack. "To lose now!" "Ultimate Move!"

Her foot struck the earth, splitting it into segments that threw many of the wannabe villains flying and into the ground. "Lesser Rain's Fall!" While not the staggering attack she used against Vosik it still was far more powerful than her average Perfected Impact, and she just really wanted to call out from the top of her lungs

With the villains scattered or retreating she ran from the small crater to join Shoto in battling Gang Orca but stopped as a sudden hot wind brushed through her. It was Yoarashi in the sky, and his wind just caused the fire Shoto used to scatter, and from their expressions, it had already happened before. What were they doing? She could hear them arguing from here, and in the middle of a battle? She... couldn't believe it, just how far does Yoarashi's rage run?

They were so distracted that neither realized the flames were dispersed, but a large column of the flames were spiraling toward Shindo, himself still unresponsive. Shoto caught sight of the student, panicking at what he couldn't prevent. "No, he'll be incinerated!" It was too late, his ice wouldn't make it in time!

Green and red bolts snapped at the embers, pulling Shindo away from the flames at the last second. Izuku caught his upper body while Yuki held his legs, both glaring daggers down at the two arguing idiots. Once more, the two worked in tandem without thinking at all. "Dammit, what are you two doing!?" Their voices roared across the field, appalled by their rash and rookie mistakes

Once landed, Yuki snapped her eyes to the frontline, there were more of them than she realized. They must have come to replace those beaten by her on the ice, not good, they were ganging up on them now that Shoto and Yoarashi were down. "Izuku!"

"Right, we'll have to be the frontline for now!" He didn't have a choice, but with both of them, they could do this. Clenching his muscles we drove his power up to thirty percent, sending a course of powerful shockwaves alongside Yuki's, metal spreading and infecting her body, coating both legs and arms, and across her breastplate. "Together!"

"I'll take care of this," Shindo pushed Izuku aside, hand to the floor as ripples of an earthquake tore apart the world in front of them

"Woah, Shindo, I thought you couldn't move because of his blast?" Izuku was surprised by his recovery speed, the man grinning

"Well, my extremities are still pretty numb but I'll bounce back, once you've fought with a powerhouse like Yukio you tend to pick up a few things," He was struggling to look straight but he had a rough idea where to aim and how hard to hit. Then his face lit up with rage, causing the pair to sweatdrop at the mood swing. "Anyway, I was trying to get in a sneak attack, and then those two First Years ruined it!"

"Oh, yeah, there's the real you," Yuki chuckled, sighing as she saw Gang Orca had Shoto by the throat. "They're out, he's paralyzed them both."

"Who cares, just focus the henchmen I've staggered, take them all down while I help get the rest of the civilians to the shelter!" With their roles established the trio broke apart, Yuki running with Izuku to attack them head-on

"Here they come, get ready!" One stood up first, weapons ready at their approach. Taking them down by hand would be a pain and tiresome, but Izuku knew that which is why he'll put that brief training at camp to good use. Following Yuki's lead, the two broke away to the sides, leaping up with a powerful kick

Izuku snapped both his arms wide, fingers bent under his thumbs. "Delaware...!" The spark ignited in his digits

Yuki brought both arms back, nanites hissing, and swarmed together between her fingers. "Perfected...!"

"SMASH!" "BURST!"

Combining their attacks, cones of concentrated wind pressure and devastating blasts of plasma struck the earth and villains, tearing apart what ground they had with spikes of wind and small arcs of red flames. At the same time, the pair landed, taking to the chaos within their barrage of long-range attacks.

There were dozens of new foes, ones that kept Yuki on her toes the whole time she moved, striking through their weapons or outright knocking them out with kicks, using their falling bodies to launch herself like a hyped-up spider monkey across the downpour of cement lobbed her way. Then a flash of light caught all their eyes, stopping her mid-punch so she just flicked the guy in the forehead.

Shoto and Yoarashi had conjured a massive fire tornado despite being completely immobilized. It was startling to see the amount of thermal energy they managed to manipulate around Gang Orca, but it did keep Yuki from wanting to criticize the two later for nearly frying Shindo. She lifted her fist, cracking a guy in the jaw as he tried to sneak up on her, a foolish mistake.

Smashing through a boulder, Yuki grabbed the frightened Izuku by the back of his hood, flinging his yelling form toward the group that was attempting to strike Shoto, himself bringing a roundhouse kicked across several thugs in a single, wide kick. The fourth Yuki blew away with two combined energy blasts, her back pressed to Izuku's as more crawled from between the rocks.

"We can win this!" Izuku couldn't believe how many were still able to fight, just how many did they plan to send out after them

"Just keep going!" They couldn't give up, not when the people were still in danger

"I'll take this!" Ojiro yanked a villain's weapon aside, splattering one in the gunk before knocking the guy out, tossing him into another while joining the couple in the middle

"Nice moves," Izuku complimented

"Thanks; The injured have all been evacuated, and reinforcements should be here any minute now." That was great news from Ojiro, now they had a chance of evening the odds. From the sky, large deposits of ice crystallized around the villains, causing many to scatter or be struck by the falling debris, to their right, a large wave of frost chilled the villains in their tracks

Yukio breathed out her nose, pivoting under a wave of cement, kicking back a villain while drawing her wrapped sword across another's arm, the force of the ice flinging him into two more while she slid down to the three. "I have arrived, are you well?" The three gave a quick nod, then split apart in four directions. "Azuru, let's use your plasma and my ice again!"

With momentary confusion, her eyes shot wide with glee while hopping between two villains, slapping her right arm against Yukio's left, frost and heat battering off the other in an instant. The two girls were silent, focusing their polar energies to their palms. Together, the two prodded forward on their right and left foot, creating two beams of red and white, the temperatures causing their attacks to split apart, creating a wide burst of ice and heat. It rapidly expanded and cooled between the torrents, causing a massive eruption of air pressure to decimate the landscape; it wouldn't kill anyone. Still, they wouldn't be getting up for a few minutes as the wind blew between them, the two girls nodding gratefully, breaking away to continue the offence.

Landing close to the tornado, Yuki ran to Izuku's side, watching the massive display of raw elements clash to form a cage that kept Gang Orca contained. But that was a slight setback, he was the number ten hero for a reason, and neither Shoto nor Yoarashi could continuously produce such extreme torrents of their Quirks for long. Without thinking, the pair braced themselves for what was to come of this prison of flames.

In no time at all since she arrived, the fire and wind were scattered to golden embers around those present before the hero acting villain; he had bathed himself in water inside, enduring all that extreme heat for this window of opportunity. While he monologued, he left himself wide open for the twin heroes to make their move, not hesitating to save the ones unable to stand.

"No, get away from them!" "We aren't done!" They screamed together, Izuku to Orca's right, striking with a downward kick, and Yuki to his left with a thundering red fist. Their attacks connected to the hero's vambraces, seeing sparks of red and green dispersed against the strain, but his arms were buckling to hold them both at bay

"Midoriya! Azuru!" Orca was grinning at their formidable opposition, Shoto watching alongside Yoarashi, both stunned to see the two running to their aid. "Still willing to fight?"

Their attacks pushed Orca back, stalled by his feet while he brushed his back cape-like headpiece to his left. Bending at the knees, Izuku and Yuki charged, fists drawn back for a unison attack; Orca locked both arms together, prepared to fight on against the mighty waves of energy. He could feel a swell between the two, neither looking to back down, even if one hid behind a mask, her eyes hadn't budged from their slit form.

"SMAAAA-!"

*BEEEEEP!*

Their Quirks cut out, flying past Orca and flat onto the earth again with a grunt, the sudden alert of the end throwing their power off completely as the air pressure blasted by Orca, forcing him to hold his arm up to shield his eyes. ~Um, yeah, so at this time all the H.U.C have been rescued~

"Eh?" Izuku and Yuki blinked, her mask back to her temple while they turned to one another, then slowly burst into a fit of laughter at how stupidly they face-planted at the end, Izuku didn't know why he laughed too, but it just felt appropriate given how tense final moments the exam were. "Pfft, hahahaha!"

~It may seem anti-climatic but with that, the Provisional Liecnecing Exam is officially over. Finally, I can get some sleep~ The announcer sounded more relived for himself than the students. ~After tallying the results we will display them in the arena, anyone who is injured should go to the infirmary, those of you waiting can change clothes and wait however you like~

"That was intense..." Yuki stretched, popping her arms while Orca watched the two settled down from their laughing fit, he did find it enjoyable but another thing surprised him

"Those two despite my restraints held their own, Azuru especially, and that last attack would have done major damage," He glanced back at the world behind him, seeing the rough grove in the soil. "Even just the air pressure alone was intense, and those two were clearly not fighting at one-hundred percent... together, they might become an unbeatable pair of heroes." Yet, all he could see was a stammering, blushing boy with a girl laughing at his reaction

Not long after changing and getting patched up, the one hundred that passed stood before a large screen on a stage, waiting nervously for their results. It all came down to that last stage, every choice and action was recorded and critically analyzed, even the smallest hiccup could result in a negative score.

~Okay everyone, thank you for your hard work in today's exam~ The announcer at a desk declared. Yuki standing in her uniform, her scrapes slowly healing on their own behind plasters. ~Now before I announce the results I should probably explain the way we evaluate you~

Yuki held Izuku's hand, both standing straight as a bundle of nerves, neither knew how this would end and prayed they did enough to score them their license. The tired man continued. ~Between H.U.C, and us at the Public Safety Commission we had a two toll merit system to determine your score, in other words, we were evaluating you based on how many mistakes you made in a crisis situation, anywho, those that passed are listed here in alphabetical order; Keep my words in mind as you search the screen for your name~

All hearts thundered, practically begging to break free as many desperately searched the list. Being gifted with a surname lettered 'A', Yuki didn't search far before she nearly gawked at the number. "I... you're kidding?" She couldn't believe, Yuki still murmuring to find his while her eyes bulged. She did it, she actually passed the exam, though she wondered why she was so doubtful, I guess it was natural to feel that way...

|Well done|

"My name, I passed...!" Izuku's jaw dropped, his hand tight around Yuki's who squeezed back just as hard. "I did it All Might!"

To say the whole of Class 1-A was ecstatic was an understatement, or... that's how most were, Yuki was about to cheer but stopped, blinking as she followed Izuku's worried eyes to Shoto, he... wasn't up on the board, neither was Katsuki. The two of them had failed. That was when Yoarashi approached robotically. "Todoroki!"

The three tensed, he looked agitated still, but soon, after a long stare, he slammed his forehead into the ground, causing Yuki to facepalm at his lack of care for a concussion. "I'm sorry! It's my fault you didn't pass the Licensing Exam! My focus was too narrowminded, forgive me!"

They must have realized it when they were paralyzed, how their two mindsets clashed, one of denial of their parental figure, and the other for being shunned due to this dark past, it ultimately nearly cost someone's life and led to many mistakes. Shoto looked away, ashamed of his actions. "I've tried to ignore I'm my father's son, but it's something I must come to terms with if I aim to become a hero," Funny how Yuki's words back then actually came to pass yet again, of him outright rejecting his father, despite learning to use his flames. "It's fine I was the one who got us off to a bad start."

"But still!"

"Thanks to the things you said to me I have alot to think about." That brought back a sad smile to Yuki, looks like she didn't need to pry, though she guessed there was never a need since she already drilled logic into his head months ago, hmm, he's come far.

~Next we'll hand out the individual results of your scores, these will highlight the areas you should work to improve in~ At this, Yuki received her scores, other than a few trips that cost her a perfect score everything seemed pretty much perfect, though a bummer she never got one hundred it was close enough and she's no completionist

~We lopped off points when you did something wrong, fall under fifty and you're done~ At this everyone looked among the class to see where they all scored

Then her eyes shot wide at the number up top by her name. "H-h-holy cra-a-ap," Her total was... "N-N-Nintey-five points!?" Yuki was surprised she beat Yaomomo, though her perfect score under communication was probably the case

"WHAAAT!?" Kyoka and Akio gawked, himself scoring eighty-two

"Yuki, you almost scored perfectly!" Izuku gaped at her sheet, feeling a little insecure about his points. Compared to Yuki he made several mistakes when aiding those and he did just stand around at the evac point. That was when a gust of wind from Yuki snatched his sheet. "H-hey, wait!" His face slowly dipping red at her critical eye

Her brow rose questionably. "I don't know why you're embarrassed, this is really good, eighty-five's a good value," He eased up a little, sinking as she ruffled his hair. "Looks like we're closer to being heroes together, huh?"

"Y-yeah, great!" He smiled a bubbly feeling that kept his spirits high. "A hero beside Yuki..." It was like when he came to terms with how he felt about her, it was pleasant, warm, and a little nerve-wracking. Then Izuku snapped out of his daydream, approaching Iida while Yuki inspected the others. "Hey Iida, how'd you do?"

He waved, "Not bad myself, it seems most of my reduced points were in practical applications, what about you?" He turned the page for Iida to lean in a see for himself

"Eighty-five points most came out of poor execution and at times I sorta stood by for a bit doing nothing." It wasn't amazing but certainly higher than he expected. This led to Iida pumping his fist proudly

"I am thankful we've been given such empirical evidence on what we should improve upon!" While Izuku agreed one thing crossed his mind, specifically about Shoto and Kacchan. If they were reduced by mistakes and couldn't gain points, how come those who fell under that margin were allowed to stay on the battlefield? What was the reason?

~Moving on, those that passed will now be granted the same authority as Pro heroes though only in emergency situations, case-and-point, fighting villains, saving civilians from villains or accidents you may act without another judgment ~ He announced simply but made the points of execution crystal. ~Keep in mind that your every move from now on carries a deep responsibility to bettering our society and that the world is watching you~

~I'm sure you know All Might no longer has his incredible power, the reason crime in this country has been so low is because of his presence~ Yuki felt Izuku's hand clutch hers a little more when she returned, her thumb reaching out to rub his palm in circles as he would for her. It wasn't his fault but she didn't blame him for feeling responsible for it. ~With that deterrent gone criminals are sure to become bolder and more prevalent, expect the balance we have in our world to be destroyed and for things to change quickly, you young people will be the hope for our future~

~It is imperative you become exemplary heroes, that your reputation grows to suppress crime as his. Remember, the license you earned today is provisional and you still have much to do, I like you all to consider yourselves fletchings and be more diligent in your studies~ His words hit home, passing on the reality of their current world, it was a step that would prove to be their starting point beyond measure, one of many hardships to come. ~And for those who fell short and did not pass?~ Katsuki flinched up at that, peeved to a ninth degree

~We don't have time for you to feel bitter about your loss, instead, we offer you a chance to redeem yourselves~ That sparked a few head raises, none expecting this turn. ~After joining a three-month-long course and pass an individual test we plan to issue additional provisional licenses as well~ That sparked joy and wondrous gasps from the crowd, Yuki bumping her hip to Shoto with a bright grin, himself still lost in the man's words. ~In order for us to reach the idyllic future I just spoke of we're going to need as many great heroes as we can get!~

~The first round was to weed people out to test those select one-hundred as much as possible, that is why we watched, even those who failed, until the very end to see that each of you has promise, that once your faults are corrected you can stand as tall as your fellow classmates. This course will keep you busy as it runs atop your normal studies, but you may take the exam in April if you prefer to wait~

"This is great, Todoroki!" Izuku smiled for his friend, Yuki patting his shoulder with a bashful grin

"You fought 'till the end, so you have every right to try and try again!" She offered her own words of encouragement atop the man's own. Everyone has faults, but that is why we're human, to try and evolve from failure each day, to become more than what we started

"We'll root for you," Iida added, all of them seeing his expression lighten at their words, his closest friends were supporting him the whole way like always to do better

"I'll work hard, thank you, all of you."

With that, the exam had come to a close. "Pfft hahahaha, you look so nervous~!" Yuki teared up with her arm around Izuku's neck, seeing his face rising in temperature as she giggled at the rigid expression on his face matching his new license picture. She had to put her knuckle against her lips to suppress it. "You look like such a do-o-o-rk!"

"I-I couldn't get a new image taken, a-and I couldn't help it!" Izuku blurted out excuses while she swung him side to side, nuzzling his freckles. "Y-Yuki..."

"I'm just happy you passed, funny image or not," Her eyes were bright in the afternoon sun, refracting off their sky-like surface. "You've done so well, Izuku!" She offered her toothy grin, again making him feel hot and bothered at her beautiful smile

"Hey, Deku are you crying?" Ocha murmured, taking her eyes of someone else to see her best friend teared up before Yuki, herself looking concerned. His eyes shot pale, realizing he let his emotions slip out

"Ah, well you know, this is alot," He wore a dorky smile and faint blush that Yuki refrained from cooing at, intending to listen to him explain. "Alot of people helped me get to this point and many went through alot of trouble to do so," His head perked up at that, images of his beach training, learning Full Cowling, battles in the Sports Festival, and many more, it made him feel honored and grateful. "It's like... how do I put this? It's like this here is proof I've matured and have gotten stronger, and it makes me so happy."

Suddenly, Yuki pulled him in close, whipping out her phone alongside her license. "Well? Don't just stand there gawking, let's show them the fruits of your progress!" She grinned, waving to Ocha. "You too, come on!"

"Uh, you sure?" Ocha didn't want to feel like she was intruding on a more personal moment, but even the nervous green-haired Izuku nodded

"I-it's fine, come on, Uraraka." At their request, she was glued to Yuki's left while Izuku to her right, all holding out their passes to the phone held out by Izuku's hand. He grinned bashfully, Ochaco smiling brightly with her eyes closed, and Yuki winking, holding out a peace sign with her pass in the center.

Once the sudden flash blinded them, the three parted with a laugh, Yuki teasing Izuku for such a nervous look, probably from having two girls so close to him, while Ochaco high-fived Yuki for their efforts. It was great, it felt like they had were growing closer to their goals.

"Hey there, UA!" Following the voice, the trio and most of their class saw the arm waving to them, belonging to a built guy with hazel eyes and chocolate-brown hair short and spiky. "Yeah, I'm talkin' to you, Azuru!"

Her head tilted, a question mark appearing. "Who are you again?"

He thundered with a vibrating stomp. "HOW THE HELL DID YOU FORGET ME!?" He patted his chest. "Shocker, you know, Kaneko!?"

A hand patted his shoulder with a polite chuckle. It was Draco. "I'm sure she meant no ill will, my friend." He nodded to the rest. "While we failed our exam the two of us will be taking that course alongside your classmates that failed,"

Kaneko grumbled, crossing his arms. "It... was a good fight, but I'll get you both back for that loss, ya hear me!?" He was a passionate one like Katsuki. One Yuki happily went up to pat on the head, causing his body to tremble with fury. "WHAT IS UP WITH YOU!?"

"I look forward to a rematch, those Quirks are yours are strong," Yuki grinned, spotting Akio returning alongside Yukio. "You guys whittled down our strength so much that we almost lost to Yukio, it was really fun!"

"No way, Yuki and Akio were almost beat?" Mina gaped, a few murmurs throughout the girls chattering away when the pair returned

Akio spoke first, rubbing his nape with a sweatdrop grin. "Right, well, look forward to meeting you again... even if someone doesn't agree with that." He flicked his head. "Shut it, you've made it clear, Viral so chill, my guy."

"And you, Azuru," Yukio spoke as monotone as before, glancing to Yuki. "I wish to exchange my number with yours if you would be willing to?"

"Huh?" Many blinked, though Yuki shrugged and handed out a note in an instant

"Sure, you're awesome so I hope we'll be good friends," That seemed to spark some level of joy in her visible eye, herself nodding to Yuki's request while writing out her number

"This is also to request aid from Akio and Viral if the time arises since he does not trust Velk she atleast wanted to trust in one of his allies to relay a message if need be," Yukio's logic was sound, much as she knew Viral despised her Nightmare if Harbinger was to become a serious threat they'll need help someday. "Thank you."

"Hey, since we're all exchanging numbers, I can help give a message to the guy for ya," To their right, Kaminari decided to be bold and ask Yukio, confidence brimming off his shoulders. "Akio can be pretty forgetful of these things, so the more the merrier right?"

Kyoka, Kaneko, Yuki, and Izuku all deadpanned in silence. "He's so just trying to get her number for himself." Then their eyes widened as she finally blinked or winked, it was hard to tell, and nodded, beginning to write out a new one on a scrap of paper without question. The four became blank, "Oh my God, he actually did it!?"

"Here," She poked one of the UA students' shoulders, drawing their surprised gaze. "Your name is Sero, yes?" Everyone, including Kaminari, gawked at the sudden twist, even Sero was shocked as he blushed, Yukio handing him her number with her resting expression lightening a little. "I wish to talk more but we must leave, come now, Kaneko, Draco." Not a word or hint of hesitation as she remained stoic with that downward 'V' expression, walking away with a short bow.

Kaneko had to be pushed away due to being left in complete shock. Draco smiling back at UA. "It was a pleasure, I do hope we meet again." With a wave he helped his stunned friend back to their school's bus, everyone just staring at Sero like he received a ticket from the Gods

"Holy crap, I... I got a girl's number." He couldn't fathom the item he held, the sheer luck of the draw. His smile continued to grow until a hand nearly swiped it away

"Come on, man, you gotta show us!" Kaminari attempted to grab it, Sero holding it high while pushing against his face

"No way man, get your own!"

"Wayda go, Sero!" Yuki clapped, a few girls laughing at the ordeal while Kirishima joined Yuki's side in the applause. It wasn't a smooth day but no one could deny that the end result was worth every drop of sweat given

Somewhere...

A few hours after the exam's conclusion, a tense and chilling debate between the former Symbol of Peace and All For One was held not long ago. It was a staggering experience, the way All For One punctuated in vague notions and creative ideas of how things were to pan out without his involvement. It had All Might having to face the fact he is no longer the one capable of stopping his plans, or rather, Shigaraki's. As quickly as it began, the two enemies parted ways, one left with a smile on his face.

All was left silent and deadly for the man who ruled the darkness of superhuman society. His amused thoughts of All Might's true intentions and the plans he had in motion were all falling into place, he just had to sit back and relax as the cogs turned without his hand's guidance

"'Rest of your days', hmm, an amusing thought, no?" A new voice traveled with no owner. All For One smiled, knowing very well who came by to visit him

"It seems I'm to receive more than just one visitor today, how lucky am I." He grinned, seeing the cameras on the ceiling distort with blue swarms of nanites. "I see you've temporarily disabled the security in my cell but have neglected my chair, how thoughtful."

A metal foot clanked to the ground from a tear in space and time, a figure emerging wrapped in black and bandaged metal. His jack o' lantern mask ejecting steam with a sharp breath. "Is that was I did? Oh yes, you can't support your life without those tubes for very long, a side-effect of your final battle with All Might, or should I say, the one before." Kovik prattled on, stepping toward the glass. "It is time to... change the game."

In a small flash and distortion, Kovik phased through the glass, appearing before All For One like a dark omen, a very instrument of Death. Yes, that was what he felt radiating off his body, he wasn't here to further along his plans, rather, Kovik was to further his own. "Unfortunately, that does not include you in it, All For One."

"Is that so - hmm?" He tried to use this moment in time to break free and remove his former employee from his sights but found that his life support strained, not just the machines, but his own body where the tubes and devices were connected. "What... is this?"

Kovik held his right hand out. "I cannot manipulate metal as easily as that Thief but this should be enough to hold a few flimsy tools, specifically the important pieces," He was beginning to enjoy this, reaching for a device on his belt. "Not to worry, the world you promised Shigaraki, or twisted promise that is, will come to pass I can assure you, just-" He pulled out the device. "-you won't be there to see it."

It was a white injector with a light blue serum, bubbling and tinting in a faint glow. All For One had no time to react or say anything more than a small grunt of discomfort as the injector was plunged into AFO's skin, infecting All For One with the liquid while Kovik dropped the device, smashing it under his boot. "I apologise; it will be uncomfortable for a moment but then you'll sleep..." He waved a hand up elegantly. "Like... an endless dream."

"What have you done,...?" He felt weaker, like his body was suddenly growing frail, his hands were becoming pale and started to flake, even his insides felt withered and old. Those many connections inside of him, his Quirks were coming undone like dying stars, reduced to nothing.

Kovik put his hands behind his back, "As I said to Stain, 'Be like all other legends... die', your work was instrumental in shaping these wretched humans into who they are. Their forms of good and evil so painfully clear and so very easy to sway given the resources and method on which to act," He explained, then pointed to All For One's wheezing form, his heart rate beginning to grow erratic. "That serum took me and Dren years to perfect, a drug to destroy Quirks, the issue is while the idea of eradicating all Quirks is a great idea it would be impossible to employ such methods with what little resources we have, like the soul, no one flame is the same just like no one Quirk is the same on a biological scale,"

His eyes examined the destabilization of years catching up the villain at a steady pace, it was fascinating. "This was all for you, and besides, the Quirks of this world can prove to be invaluable in future endeavors. So I'd rather not risk losing some that could be of use, but my new ally is... very lucrative compared to us and his work on drugs to eradicate Quirks has my interest for now."

"Wait..." His hand tried to reach out, only for no feeling of command to reach the missing limb, his teeth knitted together in pain and loss of energy, all he had was a wave of startled anger boiling inside his crumbling temple for the uncaring being behind the mask.

Kovik phased through the glass, sighing as he turned to the near-death state of the once terrifying boogieman of this world, how the mighty fall. "All Might as passed on his torch just as you have, so as All Might has accepted, you too must accept your value in this game has run dry," The rift tore itself open again, the blue nanites beginning to die while he walked away. "It has been an honor in knowing you, All For One, my only regret is that my Archon never had the chance to meet you, what a sight that would have been."

In the end, the security was back to the way it was, not a trace of Kovik could be found, and to their horror, not even All For One, just a flatlined heartbeat, and a chair covered in mounds of dust and empty clothes. His years had finally caught up to him like Death.

To Be Continued...

Oh yeah, the timeline's changing, All For One's been cut off completely! Aside from that, I really loved writing Yukio and her two friends, it was fun, and her powers were fun to write being that much like Akame's inspiration from 'Valstrax', Yukio's is of 'Velkhana'. I hope you enjoyed, appreciate the support as always, seeya in the next chapter heroes!
