Chapter 72 - Perfect Reunion

"Huh, what about your Quirk?" Mirio blinked, addressing Yuki completely so see her fumbling with nanites in her hands.

"My Quirk... technically isn't one, it's more I'm enhanced with an advanced form of technology, the same that Kovik was after until he focused his efforts on killing me," That was far too normal to say at this point. "What I'm trying to say; it's been upgraded, in time, I'll hopefully draw more from it, and if I use it in tangent with Eri's power, once she has a moderate control, we could reverse the loss of your Quirk - erm, well, you knew the last part."

Mirio smiled brightly, continuing his baffling exercises by performing a handstand with his legs peddling an invisible bike. "Haha, that sound pretty awesome to me! But I'd hate to burden you with that responsibility!" She shook her head, patting her chest.

"It's a hero's job to help everyone in need, other heroes included," Her gaze was warmer. "I know... Sir would want that, to see you be the greatest hero he believed you'll be, and if not for him we might not have saved Eri - I owe him, and you."

He considered it, nodding along with a calmer grin. "Well, then I guess we've got a lot to do - Sir's not easily impressed so let's both do our best!" He flipped around, holding his fist out for her. "I'm looking forward to working with you, Aksis!"

She chuckled, clenching her fist. "Heh, try to keep up then, Lemillion, you've still got ninety-nine thousand, nine-hundred-and-ninety-nine people to save." Their fists met. Sir's passing was very raw, so the best they could do was hold their heads high and carve out their own fates.

"Azuru," Turning away from Mirio, Mr Aizawa called her over with his finger. "I need to have a word with you concerning what's to happen after your interviews with the authorities."

"-uki? Yuki," She felt Izuku nudge her awake, evading her jab at being woken up with a groan. Popping her arms and legs once the cruiser arrived outside of UA after dusk. Kirishima in the car with them and Jura. "We're back."

"Yaaaay," She groggily slapped her cheeks to wake herself up, bowing to the officers. "Thank you, sirs."

"Yeah, thanks." "We appreciate it." "Thank you." The boys copied.

"You kids have a safe night," The driver's companion waved, leaving them outside the grounds. Not long after strolling inside, a voice rang out.

"Hey guys, wait up!" Ocha wasn't far behind with Tsu close behind her.

"Uraraka, Tsu!" Kirishima greeted as Jura turned for a diverging path.

"Seeya guys back in class I guess," Jura waved, giving Yuki a fist bump. "Again, awesome to see you're okay, Yuyu."

"Ditto, you lug." She quipped, meeting back with her classmates.

"You girls just getting back too?" Izuku asked, Ochaco sighing.

"There we a lot of last-minute forms to fill out at Ryuku's office," Tsu summed up.

"We did that too." Kirishima admitted.

"Mom really drilled it into our heads, I think even Hana was bored." Yuki hummed once they all came to stop by the place they called home. It was strange... how short a time it's been yet it felt so long ago.

"It's weird, it feels like we haven't been back here in a long time." Ocha read their thoughts exactly.

"Let's make sure it doesn't become a reoccurring trend then," Yuki agreed.

"Well-" Kirishima patted Izuku and Yuki's backs. "-let's go!"

The door to their dorm creaked open with Yuki giving a small glance to the side of the building with a smile before the light hit her face. Strolling into the tame environment was the easy part. Then came the blur of darkness that flung itself from the shadows.

"YOU'RE ALIVE~!" Akio beamed with stars in the air, Viral appearing behind him to jank his Host away from tackling them.

"He's been like this for hours..." He gave them all a tip of his cowl. "Good to see you again."

"All of us were worried about you!" "Yeah, we saw the news!" "It looked terrifying~!" "Is anyone hurt!?" "Tell us everything!"

Sato stood forward, holding out one of his prized creations. "I made this for you, it's a double chocolate cake." Kaminari butted in.

"First Kamino and now the Yakuza!?" He leaned toward Izuku, Kirishima, and Yuki more on that factor. "You guys are always getting into crazy situations; you know how much that scares us!?"

"Y-yeah... we're so sorry," Izuku smiled graciously. Yuki then felt a metal poker stab her arm, turning to Kyoka who put a hand on her hip.

"Always with the theatrics with you," She smirked. "Heard you took down one of Kovik's lackeys, not wanting to be outshined again, huh?"

"Beat me to it, hehehe." Yuki blushed, scratching her nape.

Shoji stood next to her, one of his arms forming a mouth. "I'm just glad you are all okay."

"Yeah, well, I dunno... are you?" Kyoka eyed Yuki closely, knowing hiding anything was futile from the girl who was a lie detector, Yuki just softened her expression.

"It was a lot... but I'm just happy it's over," Relief was expected. Nighteye died for Eri's rescue, and the destruction of Overhaul's plans to distribute a Quirk destroying drug - heck, even Dren's plans for an endless army and constructs with another reality. Talk about heavy baggage.

A robotic hand shot forward. "ENOUGH OF THIS!" To the rescue was the Class Rep. Iida defending them from the onslaught of questions. "I know everyone is worried but calm down! We all saw the news coverage, our classmates have been through an ordeal, if you want to help please console them quietly and let them rest their bodies," He remembered their reactions well. Izuku's tears after Yuki left the table that day. They were unable to say a word, bearing heavy hearts.

"I'm certain today wasn't just taxing physically but mentally as well," Iida breathed heavily, feeling a hand touch his shoulder. Yuki smiled gently.

"It's okay, I won't pretend what I've been through was easy, what any of us had dealt with." The pain of SIVA torn from her body. Aksis giving up his body for her. The battle against Dren and Overhaul. It was a long, gruelling battle. "I don't have many scars like this one-" Her thumb rubbed her blemish. "-But thank you for being considerate."

"Um, Iida?" Izuku pipped up too, sharing her sentiments. "Thanks for that, but really..." He saw Eri crying, Mirio losing his Quirk protecting them all. Nighteye... telling them to smile.

"Let's both keep smiling."

He raised his head proudly. "This is okay."

Iida adjusted his glasses. "Then, if I may?" He flew past Yuki to latch onto Izuku's shoulder, shaking the boy back and forth angrily. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED I WAS FOR ALL OF YOU!? IT WAS AWFUL, WHAT IF YOU NEVER RETURNED!?"

Sero deadpanned. "Take your own advice and chill out."

Yuki slithered up next to him. "Is that before or after Hana told you to relax after worrying about her, hmm?" Her mischievous smile caught him red-handed. Himself turning crimson at her elbow nudging his side. "She had such an expression on her face too, so cute~!"

"Sh-shut up, it wasn't like that." He stuttered, so she relented... for now. She got what she wanted out of Hana anyhow.

"Oh!" Yuki clapped her hands, rushing back nearest the door with a welcoming smile. "You guys can come in now - ahem, sorry to drop this bomb on everyone - please meet some transfers to UA given the circumstances, you guys!"

The door creaked open again. Many guys left floored by who walked indoors.

"Heh, now I feel like I'm really on the spot..." Scratching her neck nervously, a stunning girl wearing their uniform walked inside. Though an armband hugged her right bicep; The fabric was silver with a purple holographic symbol of a cracked skull.

Her hair was shoulder-length, various locks white and black with the bangs pulled back into a gold hairpin to show off her amber eyes. With a short salute with her middle and index fingers, she introduced herself. "Nice to meetcha; I'm Rayla, a Guardian."

"Hey, aren't you the girl Yuki mentioned was a prisoner during their half of the raid?" Ocha pointed out, the Guardian clicking her fingers.

"One in the same - though I prefer the term, 'House arrest'," She pouted. "Honestly, you take one dive off the Citadel with the jerk tampering with time and get given the worst kidnappers and accommodations."

"She did what!?" Several blurted out. Then Rayla perked up.

"Ah, sorry, man my formalities are a mess - come on out!" She held out her hand.

In a flash of white light from her palm, everyone gasped again as a hand-sized machine with various triangular segments rotating on the x-axis. The 'shell' was a honeycomb tint with a silver orb at the centre with a blue eye. "Hold the shock and awe - this here's my Ghost; Say 'Hi', Solaire."

It spun its shell, tipping the top half to bow. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you; and to finally speak with the one that befriended my Guardian, Yuki was it?" She nodded, not minding hearing her first name so casually. "We look forward to working with you all further."

Rayla then turned to the door, arms crossed with a reassuring smile at who waited pensively. "Come on, bud, people won't be able to accept you if you're always sulking in the dark."

"Easy... for you to say," His voice gargled, stepping into the light as the conversations silenced themselves. Even Izuku, Kirishima, Ocha, and Tsu were taken back by who stepped forward. Dressed in similar armour to Drevis, covered by a dark blue cloak bearing the white seal of a Wolf. Tekres made his appearance. "I'm not... a social tinkerer..."

"I kinda figured since you shot me when we first met, ah, good times," Rayla sighed.

"Everyone, this is Tekres, one of the last surviving members of the House of Wolves," Yuki introduced, giving them all a stern look. "I know the track record with Fallen has been... jaded, but he's not with Kovik, in fact, he was used by Dren against his will - and dived off the Citadel with Rayla apparently."

"She dragged me with her..." His throat growled, pointing a claw at the young girl in question. "I told you not to tamper with the conflux, and look what happened."

"Water under the stairs-" She messed that up too. "-he's had plenty of times to put a bullet in my head, not that it would work, but it's the thought that counts," Rayla waved dismissively. Solaire eyed her sceptically. "Yeah, that sounded bad once I said it out loud - ehehehe..."

"That's... SO COOL!" Hagakure was the first to explode, darting right up to the Eliksni who stepped back slightly from the floating clothing though his curiosity peeked. "You're really an alien from another world!?"

"...I could say the same for you, no human I've met appears like you," Tekres admired her constant invisibility. "Is this your 'power', how fascinating..."

Hagakure's sleeves curled up, waving high. "Yep! I'm the Invisible Girl! I can even refract light for a blinding attack!"

"Such an ability would take our cloaking tech years to perfect," Tekres admired the girl's openness, not many humans were this passive. "You are... not afraid?"

She tilted her body. "Why would I be? Yuyu's got one of you in her head, and he's like, super helpful and nice -" She pointed toward Akio. "He's got someone in his head too, and they're both from another world so why would it matter what you are? If Yuyu says you're cool then that's fine!"

"Told ya, too nice," Yuki summed up with a smug look. "Again, sudden but Mr Aizawa told me to get them acquainted with you guys since they haven't got anywhere else to go."

Soon after, the newest trio of UA were pulled into various questions and conversations. Rayla blushed bashfully with Solaire being petted by Yaomomo and Kyoka. Tekres explained his augments attached to his arms to the likes of Iida, Shoji, and Tokoyami in content.

"Hey, Shoto, Katsuki!" Yuki flagged them down with glee. "I heard your extra classes for your provisional licences started earlier today too."

"Why do you want to know?" Katsuki being Katsuki again.

"They did, so we never saw the news reports until lunch," Shoto replied, staring at his friend with a tinge of worry. "Are you okay?"

"Of course!" She smiled toothily, even Katsuki glared back at her still smiling through whatever turmoil wracked around in her head. Reaching forward, Katsuki punched her shoulder. "Ack, dammit, Dumb-Dumb!"

"You better be," She crossed eyes with him, holding a tense stare with his scarlet pins. "You and that Nerd are too stupid to admit when you're beaten, Mute Bastard."

Yuki rolled her eyes, hands to her hips. "Still gonna call me that, huh...?" For humour sake, she conjured a note. 'Atleast we don't struggle to admit openly how much we love each other, unlike you with Ocha :p'

"I see," Shoto hummed, ignoring the scarlet hue spreading over the ash blonde's face. "So I'm not the only one who noticed." He rubbed his chin in deep thought.

"Hey... you askin' to be blown to pieces Icy-Hot!? Mute!?" Katsuki's eyes twitched, a volcano erupting under his feet.

Before more could be said, something small and blue shot through the common area like a bullet. Yuki's smug facade cracked, "Oh no-"

"SIIIIS!" Yuki gulped, tackled to the floor by a blur as it smothered into her chest. Nana sat up slightly; misty-eyed. "Y-you're okay *sniff*?"

"Duh, like Siva would let me down," "Best not mention that he had to shank me to keep up the act..." She replied, ruffling Nana's mangy hair, embracing her sister. "Sorry I worried you."

"You kicked butt, it's okay..." She murmured against Yuki's chest as she sat up.

"Hey, if I'm honest with you all," Rayla raised her hand to grab their attention, frowning down at her scarred hands. Even with her power, her body wouldn't always come out clean. "I'm totally lost in this world still, where we're from... things are a lot different, we don't have hundreds of cities or a constant feeling of security," She shook her head with a nostalgic smile. "It takes a lot for the people we protect to smile every day, much less for us; Heh, so when I saw my body was younger, and that those around my age, practically kids, ran into hell headfirst, fists raised,"

She offered her kindness to them all, especially Yuki who was there bearing the worst of it all. "I honestly feel humanity, be it here or my world, will endure any hardship together, so thanks for having me here. I can only promise to do my best to repay for saving me."

"And same from me; for freeing my Guardian." Solaire whirled toward Yuki and Nana, bopping the former on the temple.

"Not... all Fallen are lost..." Tekres spoke words similar to SIVA, eyeing Yuki. "You saved one who fell from his own sanity, you showed sympathy for another who was your enemy; You are kind, so I will respect your choice to shelter me here." He then changed his tone. "|I thank you, Archon|."

That made the bluette meek, rubbing her blemish. "I-it's fine, don't think about it too much - the more the merrier after all!"

With Class 1-B...

"THE FREAKING YAKUZA AND DEVIL SPLICERS, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" Tetsutetsu shook Jura like a ragdoll, the sturdy teen smiling innocently through the thrashing.

"It~wasn't~my~intention~I~had~to~keep~quiet~!" Were his wobbly words until Kendo's large hands plucked the iron idiot away from Jura.

"Alright, that's enough Tetsu, it's late enough as is," The redhead sighed, turning back with a worried frown. "Still, you guys really leapt into the deep-end, are you okay?"

Jura patted his chest. "Sturdy as stone!" Then he clenched his fist. "I think my Quirk even got a bit stronger!"

The image of him using the metal to counter the sheer strength of Red Dragon's shield alone took a lot out of him. If not for that black barrier of fine granite he might have left Valstrax to carry the load. If that happened they might not have survived.

Ibara held her hands close in prayer. "The Lord protected you in your time of need, I'm thankful."

"Heh, I told ya guys, I'm fine..." He downplayed, rubbing his hands, noting the bolt-like scars from whatever that black lightning was. Then a hand gently touched the scars, belonging to the silver-haired timid girl, Reiko.

"Those are new..." She murmured behind a scarf, her blue eye wavering with worry. Even if she found scary and dark things fascinating it still worried her. "You all survived but I can see... that's not entirely true."

Jura couldn't hide anything from her, sighing. "We... found out what happened to Yuki once she up and appeared where the other half of the Raid was conducted, someone close to her... didn't make it back." A few gasped or held their breaths as Jura sat down. "I get it now; Work Studies really open up your eyes to how dark the world can be, not everyone makes it out with smiles, but I think that's why we're heroes,"

He sat up with a determined smile. "We shoulder that darkness, the more we do, the brighter the world can be."

Suddenly, Monoma slung his arm over Jura's shoulders with that lazy smile of his. "Wow, that Work-Study turned you into some freaky Gooru or something?"

Jura grinned, scratching his cheek. "I'm just speaking my mind, heh."

The beast-man of their class, Shishida crossed his arms. "He's right - as heroes in training, no truer words could sum up why we're all here." The rest all agreed.

"Then we'll do our best..." Reiko agreed, speaking up a little

"RIGHT!"

At Hana's home...

"Hahahaha, if it ain't the local heroine!" A hand ruffled her hair once she was through the door, she didn't even realize the man was hiding before it was too late. Her Uncle greeted her with a toothy grin. "Heard some watered-down chatter on the TV, fighting in some hot waters again?"

Hana pushed his hand off, sipping on her slippers. "It was a tiring ordeal, Velk had to step in to finish the job for me."

"And?" He looked to the shadow forming on the wall.

"You make it sound like I took all the credit, you pushed Infernal back," Velk's eyes curved proudly. "You finally let go of your sword."

That surprised her Uncle for a split second, Hana walking away with her head down, scabbard bobbing against her back. It was true, but she swore to never do so unless she was certain no one else was around to be hurt by her power.

"Hey, kid," Her Uncle stopped her, forcing her to turn before he continued.

"What-" She felt his hand rest against her crown, bringing her closer for a hug, making her irises expand a little. "..."

"Tch, don't give me the cold shoulder - you did real good out there, hear me?" His hand patted her back. "That power's what you make of it, embrace that darkness."

"You sound like a villain," Hana murmured, feeling his soul flicker with jubilation.

"Why else ya think my sis has issues with me? Level one building and you're a monster for life..." He knelt down to Hana's level, brushing aside her bangs to reveal the mark of Velk around her obscured eye. "You got her eyes, your old man's good looks, but this here-" His two fingers poked at the centre of her chest. "-that's all you, this power is yours."

"And mine too," Velk offered sweetly.

Hana sighed, eyes shaken while biting her lip. She wouldn't lie, she still had dreams where they were all together, smiling happily without a care in the world. It hurt so much to think about that she forced her hero training to distract her mind.

"Come on," He stood up, patting her head. "Food's ready and waiting, Velkhana."

Once he was out of sight, Hana slowly shadowed his movements, a tiny smile across her cheeks.
