"Say no more, Rainstorm. What's the plan?" Eda asked with her signature smirk. She knew Raine. They may be a little –oh, who was she kidding- very bashful, but they knew what they were doing.

With a 'poof', Raine made his violin and her guitar appear, he handed Eda her guitar. She looked down at the instrument in her hands, a little nervous. Her previous attempts at music had had less-then-favourable outcomes. Looking up again, she saw the determined look in Raine's eyes.

"You say your curse messes with magic. I think I can make that work in our favour."

"Alright! No more playing around!" Darius' roaring and Eberwolf's grunts and hisses echoed through the forest, loud and clear to hear for the duo. Peeking around the corner of their hiding place, they saw the Head of the Beast Keeping Coven disappear into the woods, riding one of their monstrous pets.

Turning back to Raine, Eda realised how close they were. She quickly turned away, hoping they didn't notice the blush that started to spread on her face. Ugh, it's been years since we had that kind of relationship. Why am I like this?! She couldn't help but think.

She didn't see the spell circle, but when she turned to face them, they held out her guitar, a soft smile on their face. A small spell later and Raine's violin bow appeared in their hand, matching the violin in the other.

She could see how they closed their eyes and started the melody she knew so well. Not a moment later she noticed the bard magic spreading, across the ruins, the rocks levitating in the air, the trees swaying a little further away. It was incredible, no matter how many times she saw it. In hindsight, it wasn't that hard to imagine that they became Head Witch. They had always been very gifted. Determination filled her and she turned around, Raine smiling at her. Eda smiled back and prepared herself.

The sound of her guitar filled the air, perfectly mixing with the sound of the violin. Around them, more objects started floating but it didn't matter. All they focused on was the music spreading through the forest. Eda started tapping her foot in sync with the music and look of sadness crept on her face, thinking of things that could have been, had she not been cursed.

She could feel the curse stirring inside her, awoken by the use of what magic she had left. Without looking, Eda knew her gem started glowing its eerie black light.

Once more, the magic started spreading through the forest. The magic of the curse, Eda realised, was being influenced by the bard magic from Raine. This was their plan all along. Damn, they still got it.

In the distance, she could hear more hissing from Eberwolf. First in excitement. It quickly turned to surprise, as The Head Witch noticed it was messing with their ride. On her other side, the grunts from Darius. "There you are," she could hear the Head of the Abomination Coven saying. But this too swiftly became shouts of pain as the curse magic started affecting him.

"It's working. Keep playing." Eda said, smirking. With her eyes focused on Eberwolf, she missed the look Raine gave her. Had she noticed it, she might have seen something in that look. Something akin to her sadness.

"Look, we may not make it out ourselves." Turning her head, she saw how the curse magic made its way up their legs. Way too quickly, if you asked her. But her surprise was quickly overwhelmed by renewed determination.

"But it'll stop the emperor, right?" Eda couldn't keep her voice from wavering slightly. She knew what they were doing. After all, whatever was happening to the witches tracking them would also happen to them. It would probably kill them, if she was being honest with herself. And it pained her, off course, but Eda accepted it anyway. Luz was always going back to the Human Realm and King was going to search for his father, leaving her behind. They wouldn't need her. Not anymore. At one point in time, she wouldn't have given it a second thought. Now, it terrified her.

Raine gave her a grave nod. They too, knew what the implications were. "Then we play on!" She said, swinging her hair. She could feel the photo of her with Luz, Amity, Lilith and King shift in her hair, but it held firm.

She saw the curse magic creeping further up their bodies. It had slowed down, but was still moving up. Eda could already feel the effects it had on her. Her legs felt slower, drained, their strength waning. Eda turned her head and her photo suddenly fell from her hair. Raine stopped playing, Eda looked at him as he picked up the photo.

" All this time you said you had nothing to live for" Raine said " this photo Eda proves otherwise"

Eda looked down, Raine suddenly pushed her out of the way as a giant abomination hand slammed down on top of him, the hand soon wrapped around Raine and began to pull him away " Eda go, save yourself lead your coven and stop Belos" Raine said as he was dragged away. Eda quickly ducked into some near by bushes to avoid the coven leaders and the Golden guard who had arrived.

" Where is the owl bitch?" The golden guard asked,

" Not here " Raine said.

" She must have escaped " Darius said,

" Shit, The Emperor isn't going to like this" Golden guard said " Come on lets get back "
