"Adrien wake up." I slowly opened my eyes and I saw you by my bed once again. "Breakfast is ready whenever you are."
"Thank you." I sat up. "You don't have to do this everyday."
You smiled. "It's fine I don't mind doing it at all."
It was only my second day of work and it already felt natural and even fun to work at the music store. Though it could be that Luka worked there too and we have been best friends for years.
When I arrived home that night you were already there making dinner. "Welcome back I'm making dinner it should be ready in a few minutes. You should get some rest in the meantime."
I nodded before I sat on the couch to rest before dinner was ready. I ate dinner with you before walking you home. You were the one thing holding me together. You would see me of in the morning, you worried about me while I was at work and you would make sure I was okay when I arrived at home. As long as I had you I was able to do anything.
"Adrien don't you feel lonely living here alone?" You once asked me as we were eating dinner.
"I can't feel lonely I have Plagg with me plus in the morning I'm with you before going to work. I'm at work all day than I come home to find you here when you leave I go straight to bed." I replied with a smile. "Don't worry about me I'll be fine."
You nodded. "Okay if you say so."
The next day as I was working Chloe's dad walked in the store. "HI Adrien I didn't know you worked here."
"Oh hi Mr. Bourgeois I just started working here a few weeks ago how's Chloe doing I haven't talked to her in a while." I stated.
"She's doing good. She's studying with Nathaniel at the University of Paris. How's your dad doing?" He asked me.
"I'm living on my own now so I don't see him very often." I replied.
Later I looked though some pictures Luka had in his phone of Paris. "Gezz looking though these pictures make me feel like my world got bigger. Before I knew it these big buildings popped up all over the place."
"This is only the beginning. Once they finish the roads they are working on new shops and companies well appear." Luka stated. "A new hospital well be bullied too."
"It seems hard to believe. I don't want it to change so fast." I stated.
That night as usual we had dinner together. "Hay Marinette are you free next Saturday we could go out somewhere."
"I'm sorry Adrien I can't I have my first exam for college on that Saturday." You replied.
"I see you and I seem to be in different schedules these days. Well good luck with your exam." I stated.
You smiled. "Thanks."
That Saturday was my day off so I spend it with your parents and honestly I haven't realized how much fun it was to be around them and how much I missed being around them.
When you arrived that day after your exam I spent the evening with you in your living room. "Hay Adrien next Saturday is the club festival and the fashion designer club will show some drawing designs and I was wondering if you could come. Plus we could also enjoy what the other clubs have prepared for the festival."
I smiled. "Sure it's a date."
"Hay Luka are you going to the club festival next Saturday too?" I asked Luka the next day at work.
"Kagami will kill me if I don't go." Luka said playfully. "As the student council president she worked super hard preparing it and obviously she's in the fashion designer club. Plus it's going to be our first date in a while."
"Yea same with Mari and I." I replied.
The festival was fun especially since I was able to spend time with you during the day. Obviously the designs of the fashion designer club were great and the other activities were fun too.
I realized that even if I was the only person from my class that didn't go to college I wasn't alone. There were other people that worked hard too. It was the living that I picked for myself the living that I earned.
One night as we were eating dinner you seemed serious. "Adrien we need to talk." I knew what you wanted to talk about since I avoided the topic many times but this time I didn't have a good excuse so I just nodded. "I asked this before but have you seen your father since you moved to your apartment? Did you at least call him to let him know where you're living now?"
I sighed. "Not yet. You don't understand the situation do you? At this point we are completely strangers to each other. That's not something that is going to change. I work most of the time and when I do have free time I want to spend it with you. I don't want to do something unpleasant."
"I understand if you can't do it right away but one of these days let's talk to your father together." You said with a soft smile.
I nodded. "Alright someday for sure."
As the months went by I started to think more about our future together since I knew that you were the love of my life. People might've thought that we were too young to be thinking that but it didn't matter I knew what my heart wanted.
In January I picked out a ring for you and my plan was to propose to you on Valentine's day. I would take you on a date then I would propose. Valentine's day that year was on a Saturday and I had Saturdays off so I didn't think it was going to be any problems but I was wrong.
First an employee got sick so I had to work half time in the morning that day and during the date I was so nervous about the proposal that I would constantly mess up something but in the end I finally proposed to you.
"Marinette ever since I met you my life has changed for the better. I can't imagine my life without you and I don't want a future without you so-" I bent down on one knee and took out the ring. "Will you marry me Marinette Dupain-Cheng?"
You smiled and hugged me. "Yes."
I hugged you back. "Are you sure?"
"I knew that you were the only one for me ever since I met you." You replied breaking the hug.
"Even though I'm so pathetic?" I asked you.
You giggled. "It's fine I'm pathetic too but I think that if we're together we can grow stronger."
I smiled. "Than you'll stay with me?"
"Yes of course I'll stay with you. No matter what happens forever and ever." You said with a bright smile.
