The next morning was met with the excited looks of Nora Valkyrie and Ruby Rose, the inquisitive ones of Weiss Schnee and Blake Belladona, and the innuendo-ridden grin of Yang Xiao Long.

"Can we meet her? Can we meet her?" Ruby kept on repeating.

"Alright, alright," Jaune relented, still sore from the training the night before. "Jeanne, they want to meet you."

"Yes, Master," said Jeanne as she materialized. She was in a different outfit now, no different from that of a Beacon student. "I hope you don't mind. I think it would be best if I fit in a bit."

"You can change outfits?" Weiss asked. "Do you have like an entire wardrobe somewhere in there?"

It was Jeanne who answered. She shook her head. "I can change how I look to better suit the place I am in," she explained. "The one you saw yesterday was the outfit I wear for battle which we are not currently."

They kept on asking Jeanne about herself, even as they walked the hallways of Beacon. To everyone else, teams RWBY and JNPR were being chattier than usual. To those who were there during Combat Class, they knew just who this new student is. Rumors had begun to spread around the academy but most of the students didn't really believe them. A Sentient Semblance? Impossible. Jeanne looks enough like Jaune that she must be one of his sisters or something. Probably was using a spare uniform while she is visiting.

"So Jeanne," Yang said, grinning rather evilly. "As a Servant does that mean you do everything vomit-boy wishes?"

"If Master's orders are within capabilities, yes." Jeanne nodded.

"Oh, I'm sure Jaune would appreciate that. Isn't that right, Master?"

"Why do you have to keep saying it like that, Xiao-Long?" Weiss groaned. "Anyways, among other things, do you only need Arc's Aura to survive?"

"Yeah, Jaune would have to pump his au—" Yang's mouth was shut before she could continue, courtesy of RWBY's team leader.

"Though I don't need to," said Jeanne, ignoring the banter between the two sisters. "I could always eat and drink to lighten the burden on Master's Aura reserves."

"I see." Weiss was furiously tapping away at her scroll, taking down notes of everything that was being given to her.

When they arrived at the cafeteria, there were a few looks that Jeanne received. The odd sight was that their group was odd-numbered. Beacon always operated as a team of four so it was rather strange to see that they were uneven. Then again, teams RWBY and JNPR were first years and it is likely that the students were still adjusting to life at Beacon. Of course, they either didn't know or don't believe in Jeanne's circumstance.

When they had found their table, it was Jeanne who sat at the head of the table. They looked like a large family with Jeanne taking the role of matriarch.

For a quick little test, as Jeanne ate with the rest of the teams, Jaune pulled out his scroll to gauge his aura levels. Sure enough, his aura wasn't going down. In fact, it was still close to full in the entire time that Jeanne was materialized. Weiss took furious notes on this development.

"You're certainly paying more attention to vomit-boy now, Weiss," Yang teased. Weiss had given more attention to Jaune—or rather Jaune's Semblance—recently. "Has our resident knight finally melted the Ice Queen's heart? Or is the maiden that lit the flame? I won't judge."

Weiss glared at Yang, coldly. "We are literally in the presence of a Semblance that can think for herself! With what could be her own history! Not even my summons can do that!"

"By the way, Jaune." Blake put down her book. "There isn't any sort of struggle between you and Jeanne or anything is there?"

Jaune shook his head. "No. Why you ask?"

"Nothing." Blake returned to her book. "Just reminds me of this book I'm reading. It's The Man with Two Souls."

Before they could continue, Professor Glynda Goodwitch had caught their attention. "Mr. Arc," said she. "Headmaster Ozpin wishes to see you and your friend." Her eyes trailed towards Jeanne. "Both you and Ms. D'Arc will follow me to his office."

The other team members would have argued. But one glare from the Deputy Headmistress was enough to silence them. Jaune didn't seem to mind. "It's alright guys," he reasoned. "I'm sure the Headmaster is just as curious as us, right now."

"We'll save you a spot in class later, fearless leader," Nora promised.

"The usual then?" Ren asked. Jaune nodded.

Breakfast was finished with much time to spare. Goodwitch assured them that the meeting wont take long and he would have time to make it to the first class of the day. The two Arcs followed her as they made their towards the headmaster's office.

The office itself was wide and spacious. The glass windows provide a generous view of the kingdom. There was a table there and a few chairs all set for them. The window behind him was shaped like a large clock. It really was a clock as the ticking sounds could not be heard anywhere else. When they arrived, Ozpin's eyes looked at them gladly. There was a sparkle there too.

He greeted them cordially and he treated Jeanne as though she was another student saying, "Ms. D'Arc, I presume? I am Headmaster Ozpin. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Jeanne bowed in return. "Jeanne d'Arc, headmaster. It is a pleasure to meet you as well."

"Please, have a seat." Headmaster Ozpin gestured them to the two seats facing his table. When they have settled, with Glynda taking the seat next to the headmaster, he continued. "Now from what I've been told, Mr. Arc, you have just unlocked your Semblance. Congratulations on that front."

"Thank you, headmaster," replied Jaune, sitting stiffly.

"And what a Semblance it is." Ozpin looked at Jeanne from head to toe. "While summoning Semblances have existed, there hasn't been one where the familiar is—how do I put it? Sentient? Free-willing? It certainly seems to be the case here. I hope you don't mind if I ask you both a few questions?"

The conversation was mostly between Ozpin and Jeanne. Jaune was really only there to sit in the chair, reading his aura levels as Jeanne underwent a few more tests. He found that the more Jeanne exerts power—of which she has a lot—it drains his aura faster. Jeanne was lifting the desk effortlessly with one hand and had a few practice swings with her banner. At the end of it, Jaune's aura—while still fairly high—had been reduced by a significant amount. In-between those, Ozpin was asking questions about Jeanne's history.

"Fascinating." Ozpin was taking notes of these happenings. "It certainly is strange. I certainly never heard of this France before. Is this the place where all familiars come from perhaps? Your souls are too similar as well. Some kind of coincidence? Or the work of something—dare I say—of a higher power?"

"This world certainly is interesting," agreed Jeanne. "If you'll excuse me, Master must conserve as much of his aura for today."

With a final, respectful bow, Jeanne dematerialized returning to her spirit form. Ozpin then turned his attention to the other Arc in the room.

"Now, Mr. Arc," he began. "It is your turn now. Correct me if I am mistaken but Ms. D'Arc could hear us right now?"

Jaune Arc nodded. "Yes, sir. She could also see things I can. Actually, she can see the things I can't. It's like I have another set of eyes all around me."

"Fascinating." Ozpin's eyes were practically sparkling. "And in this state, only you can hear her?"

"Yes."

Ozpin, seemingly satisfied, dismissed the young boy. "You may go now, Mr. Arc. We will have to update your records here. Your Semblance will be shown as 'Summoning' for our archives."

Then, Jaune had an idea. "Hey, uh, Headmaster Ozpin, sir, if it's not too much to ask but could I ask that Jeanne be included in there somewhere?"

"What do you mean? I am updating your status here to accommodate your new Semblance."

"I know, but Jeanne is like a 5th member of JNPR now," Jaune reasoned. "I just don't want to leave her out like that—no Jeanne, it's fine. If I don't do this, Nora would."

The headmaster listened intently to his words. Nodding his head, he replied, "I suppose that can be arranged. I will make arrangements for that. It should be simple as putting an image of the two of you together. Although, you will still be regarded as a 4-man team."

"I think we can work with that, sir. Thank you!" Jaune got up from his seat and made his way to the door. "If there's nothing else for me sir, I'll be getting back to class."

"Of course, Mr. Arc." Ozpin relaxed into his chair. "And welcome to Beacon, Ms. D'Arc."

As the two left his office, Ozpin was left with many thoughts circling his mind. Glynda was with him as well. He was staring outside and into the kingdom of Vale.

"Ozpin?" asked she. While the headmaster would often have episodes of contemplation she had never seen anything like the one he was having here. He would usually have them to remind himself of his duty. If she were to put it into words, it would be that the headmaster was curious and perhaps even hopeful.

"I wonder, Glynda," Ozpin mused. "Do you think it would have been possible to do something similar? Both Mr. Arc and Ms. D'Arc are certainly are similar enough that—never mind. There are too many things for us right now to bet on a chance."

"Something about Mr. Arc's Semblance interest you?"

Ozpin nodded. "Even if only for a while Glynda, I wish I could give them back their lives. If not then perhaps to allow them to live separately in my mind."

"Their lives?"

It took a moment for Glynda to understand what he meant. Ozpin was more than a mere huntsman, after all. In fact, he was more than just a man. He had lived many years, lifetimes. Over the years, Ozpin had seen the rise and fall of many villages, cities and even kingdoms. He had been the leader and the follower. The judge, jury, executioner and the executed. He should have seen it all by now and yet here he was. The genuine surprise in his eyes was a novel experience for her. It was as though a flame had rekindled from the old man that made him younger again.

"If it were just me, Glynda," he said, getting up from his seat. "It would make this easier. Similar though they may be; it is still rather heavy on me whenever the inevitable occurs. But this? This is a miracle. A miracle I wish to see happen in my own life."

"So what do you plan to do then?"

Taking a sip from his coffee, he stretched his arms and legs. "Like any other professor Glynda: to see the potential of my students grow. For that to happen, we'll need to see the limitations of such a Semblance. Save Mr. Arc for last during combat class later, won't you?"

Glynda raised her eyebrows. The intent of the headmaster's words was clear. There was a light from the man's eyes that was normally absent. If she were to describe it, it was as though he had a renewed vigor, like a hope long ago lost was rekindled. Ozpin's fingers traced his cane, Long Memory. From the light coming from the window, the old man had looked younger already.

"I'll make some arrangements, headmaster." She bowed. "I'm sure the students would certainly want to see a show. Although, try not to go to hard. They are still in training after all."

"Of course," Ozpin agreed. "But Mr. Arc is a fast learner. I'm sure he'll do fine. Besides, he won't be alone, technically."

AN: Honestly, this fic really just started because I thought it would neat if Jaune summons Jeanne as a Servant. However, because of their similarities (referring to Jeanne and Jaune here), I suddenly thought of our resident reincarnating wizard. I don't think he'd be able to do that with the kind of magic I've seen in RWBY, but if given the chance? Probably.

Now I'm just thinking of Doctor Who except it's Ozma with the whole time motif.

On a completely unrelated note, is it just me or is Jekyll and Hyde really good for this Grail Front event? Bypassing restrictions and just dominating the field like he's English Heracles or something.
