When Jaune left Headmaster Ozpin's office, the rest of Team JNPR were waiting for him outside. There was still time left before they could reach the first class of the day.

"Jaune-jaune!" Nora hugged him as though they hadn't seen each other in years. "So, what happened while you were in there?"

Jaune responded a moment later after the bubbly teammate let him go, letting him breathe. "The Headmaster was interested in Jeanne," he said. "It's not every day that one gets a Semblance that can think for herself."

"Jeanne certainly is unique," Pyrrha agreed. "I suppose there's Weiss Glyphs like she said earlier."

"Even if that were the case," Ren said. "I don't think Weiss' summons would be like Jaune's. Jeanne is too independent compared to other familiars we've seen."

Team JNPR agreed. They then proceeded to their first class of the day: Weapon Crafting and Upkeep with Professor Harold Mulberry.

Professor Mulberry's classroom was always the cleanliest out of all their classes. All the different tools that the students need for maintaining, upgrading and even crafting their weapons was held here. There was no formal class with how unique each student's weapons are so they are often left to their own devices with the Professor being more of a supervisor than an actual professor.

He knows what is doing though, whenever a student needs aid with their equipment he would always know what to do best for said weapon. Professor Mulberry's classes were always in the morning. In fact, no one knows a morning person if they do not know Professor Mulberry. White teeth, combed hair and a clean face, his own upkeep was a weapon in of itself.

Entering the room, team JNPR was met with the understanding look of the Professor. He gestured them inside as the other students are already busy on their weapons.

Team JNPR had their own little corner. Picking up the tools they needed, each member delved into their daily upkeep.

Jaune's weapon, Crocea Mors was the simplest one out of all the weapons in Beacon. Being a simple sword and collapsible sheath, it was more of a family heirloom that has been passed down through generations. In that time, much of the technology has grown and with it, Jaune's weapon had become rather basic. It was fine though, because that meant Jaune would have an easier time maintaining the weapon.

The mechanics that allows the shield to be collapsible simply required cleaning with a dry cloth. Jaune would occasionally test them to see if it still works. It was the sword that needed most attention. Be it against Grimm or other people, the sword would dull as it strikes flesh, steel and aura. There was a belt grinder that Jaune use to smooth out the edges. Maybe someday soon, Jaune would have to reforge the blade again if he had enough materials. For now, it was enough.

Mulberry's classes were like this for the most part. Each student was focused on their own weapons and little conversation was had. The loudest among them had to belong to Ruby Rose. Her Crescent Rose was a work of art according to her and thus needed the most care. Weiss would follow suite, be it through legacy or desire to simply better herself, her weapon, Myrtenaster, was delicate and precise.

Suddenly, Pyrrha Nikos got up and went to Professor Mulberry. She seemed to be showing him some kind of drawing and getting the professor's opinion. It wasn't unsurprising that some students have thought about upgrading their equipment and the Professor obviously handles those as well. It was surprising because it was Pyrrha Nikos that consulted the man. As a championship fighter she pretty much perfected her weapons that she has an answer to everything.

"It is a rather simple one," Professor Mulberry said. "I do not know why you would need my opinion for it."

"I just wanted to make sure, Professor," Pyrrha replied. "Sometimes we forget the basics and it's good to remember them."

"Wise words." He nodded. "Very well. It doesn't impede much of your mobility from what I've seen of your fights. The benefits are rather unnoticeable but then there is no drawback either. The choice is yours."

"Thank you, Professor." Pyrrha then went back to her spot with the rest of the team. When asked, she answered them, "Oh it's nothing much, you guys probably wouldn't even notice."

"Speaking of Jeanne," Ren said. "Does she need a weapon?"

"Oh!" Nora was waving her hand furiously. "She should get a grenade launcher! It suites her well!"

"Nora, you think everyone is suited for a grenade launcher."

"Am I wrong though, Renny?"

Ren stayed quiet.

Chuckling, Jaune turn towards the ceiling as though he were looking for divine answers, asked, "Jeanne? What do you think?"

"Thank you for the offer, Master," she declined. "But I already have my banner. It is enough for me."

Jaune relayed that to the rest of his team.

"Still," Jeanne said. "The weapons of this world are certainly unique. Master, you said that yours is a rather old being an heirloom, yet it still looks years advanced compared to the weapons from mine."

"Really?"

Jaune could feel Jeanne nodding in his head. "Yes. In fact, this world is rather interesting. Seeing all these people here training to be warriors at such a young age, I wonder what this world is like outside the cities."

"Well, we'll be seeing those sometime soon."

"Right. I only hope I can only be of use for Master."

"You definitely will be Jeanne," he assured her. "We'll need all the help we can get."

"I'm glad."

The rest of Mulberry's class went on as it had usually, without incident and with weapons and armor in top condition. Before they were dismissed, Professor Mulberry meticulously made sure that every tool was in its proper place and the equipment properly cleaned. It was always like this for Beacon Academy students, early in the morning.

Much of the classes that day went on without much issue. As teams RWBY and JNPR go from class to class, they showed the different sights and facilities that the school has to offer to Jeanne. She would materialize outside of classes and dematerialize once they enter the classroom.

"I do not wish to take up more space in the classroom for the other students," she reasoned. "Besides, I can see and hear just as fine in spirit form."

"Dang," Yang said. "So Jaune could fall asleep in class and still listen to the lectures?"

Jeanne looked at Jaune. She looked at him hard. "No, he won't be doing that," she promised.

"Why did I just get the feeling like one of my older sisters were judging me?" Jaune replied.

"If I have to, Master," Jeanne said sternly. "You can't be a great Huntsman if you doze off, Master."

"Yep, I'm liking you already." Yang was smiling from ear to ear. She then grabbed Ruby. "Look at that Rubes, now you're not the only one with an older sister in Beacon."

Ruby rolled her eyes.

Jaune only grimaced. "Yeah, I suppose," he said. "Really wished I actually went to combat school now."

Doctor Oobleck's class that came afterwards was as fast paced as ever. For all their efforts, none were able to keep up with the speed the good doctor's mouth. They were only able to grasp the first few minutes before they were ultimately lost. Oobleck was a passionate man, that much was clear. His drive for history. While he also teaches the various legends of Remnant, his heart lies in the learning all things that was. There might be students there who were just as passionate, only their speed was lacking.

Thankfully, the board was full of the lectures and Jeanne had made sure that Jaune took as much of them as he could. This time though, the topic was more on Semblances.

"Ah, Mr. Arc! It is always good to see a student taking down notes." Dr. Oobleck sped right in front of the blonde knight. "If I am not mistaken, you have discovered your Semblance only a short while ago. Perhaps you can enlighten the class on the nature of Semblances, hmm?"

"Uh," Jaune stuttered. Being caught off-guard always broke the momentum for anyone. With Oobleck often springing in at the students with his questions, some have talked that perhaps it was part of training to be huntsman. Namely, adapting to sudden events. That was what they liked to think of, anyway.

Jaune couldn't look for answers from his classmates this time. Oobleck's eyes were locked to his own. The doctor would definitely know if he broke eye contact there.

"Master." Praise be to the miracle that was his Semblance. "A Semblance is an extention of one's aura. The physical manifestation of the soul." Jeanne was reading from the notes that Jaune put down. Breathing a sigh of relief, Jaune repeated her words.

"Excellent work, Mr. Arc." Oobleck returned to the board instantaneously. "Although I would advise that you answer much quicker next time. A swift mind is helpful for any huntsman in the field, team leaders especially. One needs to be able to think on their feet just as well as they plan meticulously."

"Of course." Jaune nodded. "I will, doctor."

It didn't take long for the class to be dismissed. Although, if it's Oobleck, it was more of an entire week's worth of lessons were condensed into a single period.

As the lunch hour came and went, the classes continued on for more hours. While some students certainly have their preferences in classes, it was almost unanimous that Combat Class was the most popular. Trained to fight their whole lives, these students are always a bundle of energy that is begging to be exhausted. Some see it as a chance to show off. Others use it to blow off some steam from their earlier classes. Some even used it as an excuse to settle rivalries, usually spotted from eager volunteers.

Glynda Goodwitch called the students up on stage as she had many times before. For this particular class however, it was rather special for the students. Upon entering the room, they were greeted not just with their combat instructor but also the headmaster himself.

"Think there's a reason the headmaster is here?" whispered Yang. "He seems really glowing today, if you ask me."

"You think he would spar today?" Ruby replied, eyes sparkling. "Oh, I volunteer!"

It was Professor Goodwitch who responded saying, "While I appreciate the enthusiasm, Ms. Rose, I'm afraid you will not be sparring with the headmaster today."

Ruby deflated at that. Her grip on Crescent Rose also loosened. She was looking forward to going up against a professional huntsman.

Different students were called up and had their spars. At times, the headmaster himself would comment on their fight. He was much kinder than Goodwitch, often starting with praising and encouraging the positives of the student's display before giving any sort of criticism.

In pairs, every student was called that class. Jaune Arc was saved for last. When it was revealed why, all eyes turned on the blonde once more.

"And the final bout for today," said Goodwitch. "The headmaster himself has specifically requested for this one." She turned towards Jaune. "Will Mr. Arc please come up on the ring?"

AN: Had a national holiday the other day which meant more free time.

While I searched the wiki about Beacon's staff, I came across Professor Harold Mulberry. I don't have much to work on other than the possible allusion to the nursery rhyme, "Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush." The other would be the Mulberries, a type of plant.

Now my recommendations are filled with nursery rhymes.
