Kingsley suddenly opened the door and saw Jasmine standing there. He smiled at his friend, "Jasmine! It's good to see you. What brings you by?"
Jasmine smiled, "Hello, Kingsley. I needed to speak to you about something important if you have time."
"Of course, of course, please come in," Kingsley said and opened his door wider. Jasmine smiled at the Minister of Magic and went inside his office.
He offered her a seat and then sat down behind his desk, "So, Jasmine, to what do I owe this visit?"
"I'm getting married, Kingsley," Jasmine said.
Kingsley sat up straighter, "Please tell me you're not marrying Malfoy."
"Oh, you heard about that?"
"Yes, Lucius has been complaining to anyone that will listen to him that you have been rejecting his offer to marry Draco."
Jasmine chuckled, "No, thank Merlin, the goblins found a way around Malfoy. It turned out that my great, great grandfather made a marriage contract with Italy's Carbonelle family. And since I am the first female Potter, it's up to me to fulfill it."
"The Carbonelle family? They're a mighty wizarding family," Kingsley said, "Have you met him yet?"
"Yes, his name is Tony Stark."
"Stark? Is he a Muggle?"
"No, he's a half-blood, but that doesn't matter. Tony is the only living male of the Carbonelle line," Jasmine said.
Kingsley nodded, "So, what do you need from me, Jasmine?"
"I'd like you to officiate the wedding, Kingsley."
Kingsley smiled at Jasmine, "I would be honored, and I'll make sure to have a magical marriage license drawn up for you and Tony so that no one can dispute your marriage."
"Thank you, Kingsley; any help you can provide would be appreciated."
"You're welcome, Jasmine. When is the wedding?"
"In three days. Do you think you can have the license ready by then?"
"I'm the Minister of Magic. Of course, I can," Kingsley said with a smile.
Jasmine smiled at her friend and stood up. "Thanks again, Kingsley. Well, I should be going. There are still a lot of things I need to do for the wedding. See you in three days."
"Of course, Jasmine. See you in three days." Jasmine shook Kingsley's hand and left his office. The minute she left, Kingsley got to work getting her marriage license drawn up.
Jasmine left the Ministry and went to Ginny's apartment to let her know that she was getting married. Ginny was now living with Oliver Wood, and they were engaged. They had become reacquainted when Ginny joined the Holyhead Harpies, and Wood was playing for Montrose Magpies. They discover that aside from being Quidditch fanatics, they had many other things in common, so after a year of dating, they were now engaged.
Jasmine knew that Ginny would be home since it was her off day. When Jasmine arrives, Ginny hugged her friend fiercely, "Congratulations, Jasmine, Mum sent me an owl telling me about your wedding."
"Thank you, Gin. Did she tell you that the wedding is in three days?"
"Yes, Wood and I will be there. I already asked for the day off, and Wood just left to ask as well," Ginny said.
"Good, because I want you to be my bridesmaid."
Ginny squealed, "I would love to; thank you so much, Jasmine. Now tell me about your Muggle."
"Well, his name is Tony Stark, and he's not a Muggle. He's a wizard, but his magic was bound when he was born."
"Why?"
Jasmine explained to Ginny what she knew about Tony, that it was for his safety to have his magic bound as a protection from his father. Ginny thought that was odd, but she didn't question it. There must have been a good reason to hide it from his Muggle father. Jasmine told Ginny that Tony's magic was slowly being unbound and that he would learn how to control it.
"That's good, Jas. So, is he cute?"
"I have to admit that yes, he's very handsome."
"Good, that should make being married to him a lot easier. Especially when it comes to the sex," Ginny said, wiggling her eyebrows.
Jasmine playfully slapped her arm, "Ginny!"
"What? It's true."
Jasmine giggled, "Yes, I suppose you're right. How are things with you and Wood?"
"We're brilliant," Ginny said with a grin.
"Have you set a date for the wedding?"
"We decided next summer, during Quidditch practice, so we don't miss any games."
Jasmine rolled her eyes at her friend.
"And since we're talking about bridesmaids, I want you and Hermione and Luna to be mine."
Jasmine squealed and hugged her friend, "I would be honored."
Jasmine looked at the time and sighed, "I'm sorry, Ginny, but I have to go; I have to get my wedding dress taken in a bit."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, it was my mum's, but she was taller than me, and I'm a bit slimmer, so I need to have it taken in a bit."
Ginny nodded and stood up and walked Jasmine to the fireplace, "Okay, then, I'll get in touch with Mum and see if she needs any help."
Jasmine hugged Ginny, "Thanks, Gin."
"You're welcome, Jas. I'll see you in three days at the Burrow."
"Okay, see you then."
With that, Jasmine flooed to Grimmauld Place to get her mother's dress and head over to Madam Malkin's to have it altered.
The alterations didn't take long, and Madam Malkin was lovely enough to keep the fitting a secret so that the Prophet didn't get wind of Jasmine's marriage. After that, Jasmine went home to pack her trunks. She figured that she would be moving to America with Tony and wanted to be prepared. Jasmine wasn't sure what she was going to do with Winky. The house-elf had become bonded to Jasmine ever since Kreacher had passed away from old age. Jasmine wanted to take the little house-elf with her but discuss with Tony first. Now that Jasmine had everything prepared, she decided to go to Muggle London to buy new clothes for her new life in the Muggle world. Jasmine was excited to start this new phase in her life and hoped that she and Tony could have a successful marriage as her parents had.
