A 3-year-old Shinjiro was is sitting with his sisters, Kate and Beth, in the backseat. Shinjiro held onto an Ultraman doll in one hand, the other making 'explosions' as he played with it. Their mom was driving the siblings home from the SSSP (Super Science Search Party) museum.

"Let's take a picture." Young Kate said before pulling out a camera. Beth moved in closer so Shinjiro was in the picture. But at that moment, everything changed. A bus crashed into the car's rear, causing it to crash and dangle off a cliff.

"Mom! Wake up! Please!" Beth cries, trying to wake up her mother, who was knocked unconscious by the airbag. Shinjiro was dazed and crying, his doll in his hand.

Kate suddenly looks through the broken rear window to see Batman, who fires his grappling gun at the car's bumper. "Batman's here! He's going to save us!" Kate cheered, but hope slips away, as the Dark Knight simply sets another grapple cable to hold the car as he runs off. "Where are you going?!" Kate cried out. "WAIT!"

With Batman gone, Kate quickly climbed out of the car with her brother piggy-banked on her back. She quickly sets him down somewhere safe and runs back to the dangling car. "Beth! Grab my hand! Quick!" She told her twin, who desperately tried to climb for her big sister's hand. Just before their fingers touched, the bumper couldn't hold on anymore and snapped off, sending Beth and her mother falling to their doom.

"Mom! Beth! No!" Kate called out, looking down at the 20-feet drop. Her half-brother, settled down nearby, opens his eyes and finds that he was alright, but cries in fear of what just happened. Kate, her eyes welling up with tears, runs to her scared younger brother, hands him his doll and hugs him. "Sssh, It's ok, Shinjiro. There's nothing to be scared of." She cooes as the Ambulance and the GCPD arrive.

Shinjiro laid in the emergency, exhausted from the accident and snoozing away while his sister cuddled with him, falling sleep as well. People were outside, snapping photos of the siblings while the doctors did their best to keep the crowd down. Everyone said it was a miracle how a 3-year-old like him could survive the accident and come out without a scratch. Some people praised that God protected him. Some said it was unnatural, but the reason wouldn't be found until years now.

Present Day

Who am I? You sure you want to know?

The story of my life is not meant for the faint of heart. If somebody told you it was a happy little tale, if somebody told you I was just your average, ordinary guy, not a care in the world...somebody lied. But let me assure you. This, like any other story worth telling, is about a girl.

A girl was sitting next to the window of the classroom as she was looking at what was outside. She was a beautiful, teenage, short-haired brunette with brown eyes. She wore an orange T-shirt with white sleeves, along with tight white pants and a pair of Nikes. 2 of her friends walk up to her and chat/hang out. A student, 2 desks away from them, was hungrily devouring his sandwich and wiping his mouth with his sleeve.

That girl. The girl next door: Rena Sayama, the woman I loved since before I even liked girls. I'd like to tell you that's me next to her. Aw, heck, I'd even take him.

Shinjiro walks into the classroom, but as he opens the door, chalk powder floats down from the door, coating him and his uniform with white powder. The teenagers laugh at Shinjiro. "Get chalked, fresh-off-the-boat!" a boy calls out. Shinjiro sighs as he walks to his desk.

That's me.

(Timeskip: After School)

Shinjiro and 2 of his buddies, Ben and Merco, were walking home from school. They spot Rena and her friends. "Hey dude! Now's your chance!" Merco says as he playfully shoves Shinjiro into the fray. "Ok, ok! I'll go." He responds before walking up to Rena. Just then, the bullies from earlier come around and tease the girls. "Hey, leave her be." Shinjiro says. "Or what, Mr. Hero? Are you gonna, oh, put on a mask and save the day? Ha!" The main bully taunts. He then swings his leg at Shinjiro, who unexpectedly caught it. "What the-?!" The bully exclaims. Shinjiro then did something that he never meant to do: he accidentally crushed the bully's leg, who groans in pain and holds onto his broken leg. The girls, finding the opportunity, run away. Shinjiro then looks at the other bullies, who run away in fear. "Wait!" He exclaims. "I'm...sorry."

(Timeskip: Night)

At the ceremony, Commander Jacob Kane and his Crow's team were patrolling the building to keep everyone safe. Meanwhile, down below, Mary and Catherine Hamilton walk down the red carpet and upstairs. Shinjiro sat on top of a billboard, watching the ceremony. "What did I do?" He questioned. Suddenly, a few minutes into his stepmother's speech, A pale-skinned blonde appeared on the screen.

"Hello, said Alice. Shall we believe the Crows will protect us?" Said the pale girl. "Well, I believe 6 impossible things before breakfast. Do you feel safe behind these security gates? Ha ha! Because one of you won't be going home tonight. In fact, we have a special guest tonight, isn't that right, Tin Man?" She continued before a tall metal humanoid figure walked to Alice's side. "Hmph. The Crows are not your heroes, Gotham." The figure said, his metallic voice echoing through the speakers. "Batman couldn't save you, and neither...will...they." He adds before holding a surviving Crow member with one hand and the other firing a red laser, piercing through guard's chest, killing him before he tips the camera over and crushes it with his foot.

The crowd panics as they evacuate. "Get these people out of here! Now!" Jacob orders the Crows through the walkie-talkies. He leads Mary and Catherine to safety, but not before they hear metal footsteps clicking and clacking through the hall. It was the metal figure, along with other masked thugs. The figure blasts a hole in the ceiling, causing the crowd to panic.

Meanwhile, on the billboard, Shinjiro notices what happened. Before he could leave, 2 more of the masked thugs spot him. "HEY! HE'S OVER THERE!" Yelled one of them as they began to chase them. Shinjiro ran off of the billboard and leaped from building to building, only to confront a huge gap from the rooftop he's standing on all the way to the huge ceremony building. He looks behind him and sees the thugs not too far away. He closes his eyes, breathes, and leaps off of the rooftop. It felt like he was flying, as he catapulted himself from the building to the ceremony building's rooftop, skidding as he landed. He then leapt off of the building harmlessly and slid to the wall. He sees Sophie getting kidnapped by the gang members and stored into a van before driving away. He quickly pulls his phone out of his uniform pocket and calls the only person he can call now.

Arctic

Kate was training around the world with survivalists and martial artists. She was sitting in a tepee, taking a break when her mentor walks in with news from a phone in his hand.

"Call for you." He spoke. "The asian boy."

Kate takes the phone and see it's already answered. "Hello?"

"Kate. It's me, Shinjiro." He tells his sister.

"What happened?" Kate asks.

"Code Red. Sophie is missing. Someone called Alice took her." Shinjiro told Kate. "Sis, I really need you back home. Please." Those were his last words before hanging up.
