kakkrot: I probably should have put she would be OOC because she is. I don't say that she is another character because no one can realistically go through few years of war without a great change in personality. Also, she was made a Kage, the responsibilities and burdens thrust upon her would considerably mature a person even if they were that happy.
Rmitch306: Thank you so much for your encouragement!
Phoenixx Rising: Thank you for thinking so.
Bella-swan11: I'm not really sure what you mean with your review since I didn't place any sort of thing with Sasuke hell bent on revenge. The only thing he clearly wants to do is continue to loyally serve and protect his Kage to his fullest extent to repent for his crimes. I haven't even said anything about Itachi yet, though now that you have mentioned him, I should probably find a way to insert him.
Dobbyhasnomastr: Yeah! Naruto is always adorable and I am trying to figure out what would be the best thing to happen for the finals at the moment.
Altered Story
Chapter 6: Training
Konohagakure
Training Ground 27
"So, gaki, what should we work on?" Jiraiya asked his goddaughter as they sat in the training grounds they once used in the previous timeline.
"Well I thought I would just train my chakra first cause that's really the only thing holding me back from my more controlled techniques. Then I would just show you some of the seals that I've created," handing him her journal which she had managed to successfully recreate through continuous search of her memories, "while I build my body back up. After that I wanna spar with you so I can get more experience back in this body with my new taijutsu style."
Jiraiya nodded in agreement. It had been a few days after the Suna team left and all that had gone on was showing the memories of the time travelers to him, the Sandaime, and Kakashi, who would be training Sasuke.
Speaking of the Uchiha, he gave a brief glance to the Kage Bunshin staring at them in intervals from his sitting position on the tree. It was currently practicing chakra control by sitting on the underside of the branch while reading a few clan scrolls that he hadn't read before. Naruto had just groaned in exasperation when it appeared, but otherwise let it be and the Jiraiya followed along with it. He wasn't stupid, it wasn't all just over-protectiveness, he could see that the dark haired boy was doing this as a form of repentance and the memories had proved his point when they had seen his defection. Of course, the Uzumaki would not stand for any punishments on her friend and made an impressive show on how she would feel if he was treated any differently. Her mother would have been so proud to see the few drops of sweat on his Sensei's face at the KI leaking from the smiling girl. Jiraiya may not have approved of his past actions, but he did approve that he was trying to change it by protecting his goddaughter. He would still be keeping an eye on him, pervy author aside, he would be protecting his little girl's virtue where her actual father could not. Though, again, Naruto would probably kill him if he tried to hurt Sasuke. Those two were insanely protective of each other.
"ERO-SENNIN!" The shout from said blonde-redhead shook him out of his thoughts and put a finger to his ear as he could hear the ringing. "Finally, I've been trying to get your attention for the past minute and why were you glaring at Sasuke's bunshin?" The girl questioned.
"It was nothing, Naru," waving off her suspicions though she still gave him a wary eyebrow. "Anyway, where are these seals you were talking about?" Looking around, he saw that she had already summoned an army that were currently doing a variety of chakra control exercises while going through a series of katas that some he recognized were from the different clans and some he did not. It would never cease to amaze him on how her chakra capacity could be off the charts.
"I was always wondering why no one, not even you, used Fuinjutsu on the battlefield besides exploding tags and barriers. So I looked into a few more things during the war and during a ceasefire, I managed to go back to Uzushiogakure and retrieve some scrolls from the clan compound that was on a seal lockdown," then sheepishly looked to the ground. "It was probably a good idea that I did cause I was thinking of just sending a team to do it cause the moment I stepped onto the island, I noticed some seals that would immediately kill any person that was not an Uzumaki."
Facepalming at his goddaughter's idiocy he asked her, "Didn't I tell you that during our training trip. If I told you about seals, I would have eventually talked about the village in a subtle way to talk about your clan."
"I didn't have much of an attention span yet, Ero-Sennin," the girl complained. "Plus, I only started to calm down more after sage training. It was killing my Uzumaki genes to sit still for that long! So yeah, you probably mentioned it, but I was too busy thinking about a new jutsu you probably introduced to me."
"Speaking of Sage training, I can't believe you were able to master it in a month!* I started way before you and I still need Ma and Pa to help me!" he whined internally beaming with pride at her prowess.
"Yeah, yeah, I still don't get it cause I have shit control with the reserves I have and I'm supposed to be used to this kind of unpredictability." The snort from the side was ignored. "Anyway, can you just look into my notes already?"
Training Ground 9
Why, oh, why did it have to be Gai-sensei that was the Taijutsu expert, the pinkette thought as she stared at the over enthusiastic duo. Just looking at them already drained her admittedly poor amount of stamina that she will rectify as fast as possible. She thought back to yesterday when Kakashi-sensei told her about her new training schedule.
Flashback
"Now Sakura-chan, I'm not really the best teacher for taijutsu, but if my style happens to work out for you I'll take over. I'm gonna send you to our resident expert in that area since he knows more than I would," she shivered at his devious tone and almost hesitated to ask her question.
"Who is it?" Already cringing at the hunch she was making.
"Why it's Gai! Your sparring partner will be his student, Lee." Chirping happily while dodging a punch that would have broken all his ribs. "Maa, maa, Sakura-chan, I'm not exactly pawning you off, so you won't be with them all the time. Once a week, we will gather up Team 7 to do teamwork exercises so we don't get out of touch. In the case of our "future predicament" we want all of you to be a strike team to send to the heavy hitters." She still groaned in anticipation for the strain that her body would receive and growled at the unrepentant smile her sensei sent her way.
"For your training, we need to get your stamina up to a good point and it's a good thing you stopped dieting ever since we came back from The Wave Mission so we're already up to a good start." The pinkette blushed as she recalled her stupidity as she didn't realize that any shinobi work she did would burn off the calories that she would get and the diet didn't really do anything to give her energy. Her mother was, thankfully, alright with changing up her meal plans and didn't question her too much on her choices as a shinobi anymore. "Once we do that, I'm going to let you decide whether you want to go into iryo-ninjutsu, genjutsu, or both as you have an aptitude for them."
"I might as well do both seeing as Sasuke doesn't seem the type to use genjutsu as a specialty and even if he changes his mind later then we can balance the fact that Naruto can't do any with her chakra control being the worst of all us combined. I can also make sure those two idiots don't get hurt more than they have to," rolling her eyes at the thought of her teammates' recklessness.
"Mostly Sasuke though," Kakashi added.
"Yeah, Naru's such a cheat sometimes, not only does the Uzumaki heritage already give her accelerated healing, Kurama - I'm pretty sure that's his name - puts it up to godly levels!"
"Putting aside Naruto-chan's insane luck, you'll meet Team Gai at Training Ground 9 at 5 am sharp tomorrow and two other days. Thursday is when you meet with Kurenai because she has graciously given her time to teach you as our only Genjutsu Mistress and the day after will be to learn some medical things from the hospital."
Flashback End
"YOSH! My students, we have a guest here that will be with us 3 times a week," Gai excitedly told them. "I will make sure to keep things as vague as possible to keep things even for everyone in case you face each other in the finals."
I'm going to regret this. Looking at the boy's eager face and noticing the weight seals peeking out from leg warmers. Then she remembered her teammate's face talking about their Sakura and even if she wasn't the same she wouldn't let herself be weak that they needed to worry about her. Let's do this, Shannaro!
Anbu Training Grounds
Clang
The sound of two swords clashing echoed around the field serving to highlight the emptiness within the grounds. Only two figures rushed around at speeds an untrained eye could not track were in it. One was being pushed back trying to defend themselves from the others' fast movements as they worked to add more to the growing collection of cuts and bruises on their body. When they came to a stop, you could recognize the infamous features of an Uchiha on the younger boy and the recognizable purple hair of a certain Anbu member.
"That was better, but learn to hide your injuries so as to not highlight your weakness. Your jumps would signify which leg would lead you to which direction. I know that Uzumaki-sama and Haruno-san might be with you more often than not, but I am here to teach you as an individual. I need to make sure your mistakes will not need to be covered up by your teammates." The harsh and blunt assessment was taken with a neutral face as he listened with only a minimal twitch to his mouth to signal any sort of emotion.
"I've been friends with Ibiki for a decade and have talked to Yamanaka Inoichi enough to train my observation." Seeing she got his attention at the serious tone she continued. "I know the type of guilt you have comes from regret and hearing that you were once a missing nin should make me treat you as an enemy to Konoha, but I see the way Taichou treats you. I know how Uzumaki-sama looks at you and how you look at her so I don't worry because I don't need to. My job here is to prepare you for whatever comes next and make sure you survive to keep our future alive just as it is my job to do the same. I don't think you want to know the pain of failing your Hokage."
"I do." At her surprised look, he felt a little bittersweet at her faith. "I do know because she died before I did and I couldn't bear to tell her that even though she did it to save our teammate she still ended up dying. So I feel the burden with me keeping things from her knowing that she'll break because it serves as a reminder that I will make a better choice this time around."
"I don't think I could bear to ever let any of you down for all that you've given me." Sasuke finished the most that he's said during the whole time training. Plus, the training today kind of gave me a clue on how you'd deal with me if I ever left again. Noticing her strikes started lowering. Shivering visibly and noticing his instructor's smirk as if knowing what he thought.
No other words needed to be said and they continued.
Training Ground 7
Saturday, Team Training
All three pre-teens drop onto the ground due to exhaustion. Waking up at 5'am knowing Kakashi was actually going to be early for once. Even the stamina freak that Naruto is could not help but crumble under the weight of exhaustion from the week's training.
"Anyone else want to do Sage training, cause I'm pretty sure Pa managed to put more bruises on me than Kurama could heal," the blonde-redhead mumbled into Sakura's arm on the top of the pile. "Stupid younger body."
"If you wanna be a personal punching bag to green jumpsuit wearing, caterpillar eyebrow-ed Taijutsu freak while having to deal with his and his sensei's "Sunset" genjutsu I'll take it." The pinkette was underneath the blonde and couldn't move because a certain Uchiha had laid down on her other arm. "On top of that please remember where each tendon in the body is without the byakugan for accurate pinpointing and if you get it wrong they severe it and you learn to heal it through practice."
"Not if I take it first," Sasuke was face down on the floor with the same predicament as Sakura with the blonde on top of him. "Yugao-sensei was a demon. I didn't even know you could do that with swords. Most of the techniques she taught me were aimed at men, specifically their genitalia." The time-traveler turned green at that.
As did Kakashi who was watching them from a nearby tree. He decided to interrupt before his students remembered who gave them their instructors. The three stood up when they saw their sensei appear.
"It's pretty creepy that you're actually on time sensei," Sakura remarked.
"Yeah," Naruto seconded. "Back then, people always thought it was the apocalypse every time you came in early."
"Hn."
The man felt like he had been shot by arrows at the jabs his students made. "My cute students, attacking their poor sensei," the man dramatized. "It hurts, truly. Like right here," he says while pointing at his heart. They all just rolled their eyes at him.
"Anyway," getting back on track. He held out a piece of paper to Sakura who took it. "This is chakra paper." Turning to the time travelers. "I'm guessing you already know your affinities."
"Yep," the Uzumaki created a miniature tornado on her palm. "A very strong affinity to wind practically on the level the Nidaime had with water." Kakashi was impressed and a slight warmth of pride seeped into his heart at the strength his sensei's daughter had. "I also have a minor water affinity."
"If it wasn't obvious already I'm going to guess you have lightning which is surprising for an Uchiha," Kakashi pointed out.
"It explained why it was so hard to do the Fireball," not letting the slight twinge of annoyance he felt at finding out his affinity.
Somewhere in the Afterlife. . .
Fugaku was currently trying to inch away from the hurricane that was his wife and her best friend who were squealing about their children and weddings, they were 13 for Kami's sake, when he suddenly sneezed. It brought their attention to him and he cursed Minato for having the sense to run away while he was dragged into the mess.
Back to the Living World. . .
He then turned back to his last student. "Well, Sakura. Just put chakra into the paper and we'll see what you have." They were all in for a big surprise when a tree branch with a leaf suddenly sprouted.*
"Shit!" Naruto yelled. Wait, does that mean. . . Thinking back to all the times they talked about Ninjutsu and affinities, it suddenly made sense why her best friend always made sure to speak less during those conversations. It also explained the weird reports of suddenly being saved by a tree root that wasn't there before and Sakura happened to be on those missions.
"By your reaction, I'd say Sakura never had or revealed she had-" Kakashi cut himself off not wanting to voice the incredulity of the situation or reveal anything to eavesdroppers. He released the tension when he saw the signal from Naruto that she already had a barrier up that would distort what they were doing from outside. "-Mokuton."
"Not exactly," Sasuke answered, still recovering from the shock. Never once having an inkling to his teammate having a lost kekkei genkai.
"I had my suspicions," Naruto responded. They turned to look at her for an explanation and she told them her thoughts from earlier. "Yamato-taichou had already died near the start of the war which would explain Sakura not having much practice or help with learning to control it." Sending an apologetic look to Kakashi at her blunt reveal in his friend's death in her timeline.
"We were told that Hashirama took years to figure out how to use it as no one had ever had the power before," Sasuke added.
"Well, I guess you have another teacher, Sakura-chan!" the pinkette just glared half-heartedly since the man had decided to bounce back from the information. "Look at you, you might not even need your poor old sensei to teach you anymore with all those instructors in line."
"Don't be ridiculous, Sensei," Sakura rolled her eyes. "You're one of the best and I'd learn a lot of practical shinobi skills from you that would only come from your pinky finger."
"Maa maa so generous. Now let's get to the actual training." The three shivered in fear as they saw the man hold out a blindfold, seal, and headphones.
Sasuke just sighed, swiping the blindfold knowing it would be him using it considering his reliance on his eyes. Handing the seal and headphones to Naruto and Sakura respectively, he began to explain.
"Sasuke, you will be training in your other senses as well as chakra sensing. Your features are distinct and while you might be one of the last, the other villages have never forgotten the fear of looking into an Uchiha's eyes."
"Naruto, I want you to focus on your signing so that it is efficiently fluent. This will also help in leading by learning to follow Sakura's lead as she will be the only one allowed to speak. You and Sakura will be making sure Sasuke won't fall into danger.
"Sakura, as you know you will be taking point in this, you will be accommodating for your teammates' lack of their most valuable assets while learning to trust your instincts. As shinobi, your senses can fool you, so you learn to trust your gut and if you can't hear then it will teach you not to rely on it as much."
"Now your objective is to find Tora while I sabotage your mission as much as possible. The additional training in this will be that you cannot touch the ground whatsoever and that you can only maintain a 20 foot distance from each other. The blindfold, seal, and headphones stay on during debrief with Tsunade-sama." They felt shivers run up their spine and hurriedly put on their handicaps. "Off you go, I'll give you a 5 second head start." They were gone as soon as he stopped talking.
"Maa, they're so cute." Summoning his dogs, he set off to hunt.
Hokage Tower
"-and arrive in Hokage Tower at 10:18am to report our mission was successful." Sakura finished keeping a wonderful posture and clear tone despite the disarray she was in hair was wrapped up in what looked like a ripped off piece of her skirt since the original tie had not survived the fire jutsu sent her way. She was also missing a shoe since she was a second too late in realizing how close she was to the ground with their sensei nowhere to be seen as a hand reached up to grab her foot.
Her teammates did not look any better with Naruto taking the brunt of it having most of the important senses still retained, she would tank any exploding tags she couldn't disable. Even taking a dive into the hot springs after a sound explosion set Sasuke off balance and she switched places with him since it was the woman's side. Luckily Anko and Kurenai were too amused to feel anything else from the disruption in their relaxation.
Sasuke was mostly fine appearance wise as his teammates took his sensei's instructions to heart. Of course he could feel the amusement coming off Naruto in waves already knowing she was calling him a princess in her mind. His hair did look ridiculous at the moment as a stray slice from an out of control wind jutsu from Naruto had shorn a side. Luckily his hair would grow back quickly and it would be back to normal by next week.
Tsunade finally let out a large bout of laughter which was followed by some chuckles from the Sandaime who happened to be visiting at the time.
"Well, I sure am glad I allowed Kakashi to do this or I wouldn't have a nice break to my day here. Go along now, I'll see you later Sakura."
"Hai, Tsunade-sama."
Kakashi watched his genin grumble their way out of the office and felt them settle outside to wait. Sighing dramatically knowing they were planning on making him pay for lunch he turned to their future Hokage who had a look of wistfulness as she looked at the door.
"They're not us and we'll make sure they won't be separated." He pointed out softly after he saw her focus.
"Yeah," organizing her signed papers absentmindedly. "I really hope so."

Nothing.
We already have a Hashirama who has Mito's powers and Tobirama's jutsu on steroids. Madara with his own powers, Izuna's face, and Tobirama's calm. Might as well have a Mito with Hashirama's powers with a healthy dose of bipolar attitude to round up the craziness. Kakashi is just their to watch his little monster students destroy everyone and gain world domination.
Edit: I have decided to update when I want and to anyone worried no matter how long the hiatus (though I will try not to make it two years this time) I will continue this story as I keep saying
Peace!
