Damion-

"Hey, Rubes," I called out.

"What?" my sister asked, coming down the stairs.

"Can you do me a favor and get some dust?"

"Fine, what do you need?" she sighed.

"Just a pouch of each should do," I said, walking out of my forge/dust lab and through the kitchen to the living room.

"Alright, just let me fix my ears," she said, grabbing some hair pins.

"Ruby, I really would like you to stop wearing those. It's our heritage from mom's side," I said, wiggling my wolf ears.

"I know, it's just easier this way," she said. "How do I look?" she asked, turning around to show a head with two carefully hidden wolf ears.

"Like a human who doesn't know how to do their hair," I said.

"Alright, see ya in a few," she said, grabbing her red cloak and Crescent Rose.

Chapter One: The Lupine Roses

A few hours went by when I got a call on my scroll.

"Yo, what cha need boss man?" I asked Ozpin.

"Your sister was involved in a dust robbery a few minutes ago," he said.

"Ugh, just like Ruby to go and get in trouble, so what do you need me to do?"

"Well, I watched her fight the goons and must admit she has talent far beyond her age and was thinking of letting her come to Beacon early. Her father was alright with it so I wanted to ask you, seeing as you are joining our staff this year."

"Sure, she doesn't know I'm going to be a teacher yet so it will be funny watching her reaction to it," I said.

"Alright, see you in a week. Also make sure to be prepared as you will have some second years in your class as well."

"Sure thing," I said, hanging up.

"So, what's up with the youngest huntsman in a century?" Tai asked, walking into the living room.

"Nothing too much, just Oz asking about what he discussed with you about Ruby," I said.

"Oh yeah, forgot that was going to be your job. Are you going to tell them?"

"Nope, they find out when everyone else does," I said.

"You are just like Qrow and Summer. Anything for a joke and always messing with others."

"Any word from dad about Raven?" I asked.

"No, after your mom, yeah, she's just disappeared. I told him to find their tribe but he's not going to."

"Well, I might have him come back as a way to show how Semblances can be a burden as well as a boon at some point so make sure he's still on the grid," I said.

"Well, Yang's gonna be back soon, Ruby as well so let's get dinner around."

One Week Later-

"Alright, first class," I said, standing at the door. All the students were in the amphitheater already so I just walked in and started talking. "Hello everyone. I'm Damion Rose, however just call me Damion as I'm your age. This class is Combat Planning and Theory so we will be covering many diverse and strange things. While it might not seem all that important this is the most important class you will have. Any questions yet?" I asked, seeing Yang and Ruby's mouths open in shock.

"Um, how are you able to teach us?" a girl with long white hair asked.

"Well Weiss, I'm the youngest huntsman in a century and I have knowledge about somethings that most people believe are legends and that actually brings me to our first lesson. Who here knows what a hybrid is?"

"You mean a filthy faunus like you?" a boy with brown hair asked.

"That's two weeks of detention for your team Cardin," I said. "And no, anyone else have an intelligent guess?" I asked.

"Um, aren't they beings who are half person half grimm?" a rabbit faunus asked.

"Correct Velvet, now who knows why I'm telling you this?" I asked.

"To waste our time. Why don't you teach us something useful?" Weiss asked.

"This is useful, if you want to see why then come down here," I said. "You were all told to have your weapons so be prepared to fight at any time," I added, as she walked down. "Now, I'll give you a small advantage by telling you my semblance. I can create portals on the ground using black rose petals. I can also burst into a bunch of petals and teleport out of any portal. Now, come at me," I said, putting my arms out to the side.

Weiss charged me and I fell into a portal and emerged behind her. She then turned expecting me to do that and stabbed me many times. I then summoned my tendrils and grabbed her weapon with one and locked her arms and legs together with two more.

"W-what? I thought you said your semblance was rose portals," Weiss said.

"I did tell you that and I told you the truth. The thing is I am a hybrid. My tendrils are part of my grimm form. After years of training I can do a partial transformation like this," I said, dropping her weapon and releasing her. "Get up to the stands and I'll explain it more in depth." I watched as she recovered her weapon and quickly made her way to the rest of the team. "So, hybrids are created in one of two ways. You are either born one or one makes you a hybrid. This is by a hybrid giving a person a blood transfusion, this is also what happened to me when I was five. Hybrids don't gain any power until they are ten normally. Because of me being made one when I was five I automatically got the ability to transform, however I had no control. If I felt any negative emotion it would immediately activate. Normally they spend years in an abandoned place in the woods to control their powers. I was especially trained by Ozpin himself in order to control my new powers. Now, I will do a full transformation and there is a slight possibility that I might lose control so you will only see this once. There are two people among you who I know have the proper equipment to take down a raging hybrid so if it isn't you don't even try as you will die," I said, removing my cloak and weapon and setting them aside. I then started to transform.

My bones cracked as black grimm ooze seeped out and covered my body until I was similar to a quadrupedal thin but large wolf like grimm. I walked around and quickly jumped against the wall to show how much more powerful I am now as compared to normal. I then saw Ruby look at me with a concerned look and so I jumped up to the stands causing everyone to flinch and put a hand on their weapons. I walked up to Ruby and licked her cheek before jumping down and quickly changed back laughing at everyone's reaction.

"Sorry, I couldn't help but have a little bit of fun with my sister," I said. "If I would have lost control it would have been when I first transformed so if you ever come across a hybrid watch them when they first transform to see if they will be in control or not. That's all I have for you today, dismissed," I said, walking out.

"Damion!" Ruby whined, running after me.

"Yes?"

"Why didn't you tell me that you were a teacher?" she asked.

"Because, I thought it would be funny. Still, Weiss Schnee on your team. I kinda feel bad about that, also your partner, Blake right?" I asked.

"Yeah, I can tell too. She's using the bow to hide them. I don't think she's guessing I'm one either because she hasn't come to me about it yet. I have decided to not approach her and I won't tell anyone else. Also I'm keeping the pins in, with a Schnee as my partner and already hating the fact that I'm the leader and not her I would fear what would happen."

"Alright, I understand your reasoning, just let me know if it gets too much," I said, putting my hand on her shoulder. "When I heard you were a leader with her I knew there might be some problems and I told Oz that I was against her and you being on the same team but he insisted. If anything happens I'll use my power as a teacher and she'll regret coming here."

"Why is one of our teachers putting his hands on my innocent little sister?" Yang gasped jokingly.

"Because she's my little sister, and I'm her favorite sibling," I replied.

"Screw you," Yang said, punching my shoulder lightly.

"Yang! You can't hit a teacher for no reason!" Weiss said.

"Ah, Weiss, thanks for helping with my demonstration earlier. Also don't mind it, she's my cousin so we act like this all the time," I explained.

"Wait, if your cousins then that makes Ruby," Weiss started.

"My sister, yes."

"Wait, what?!"

"I won't tell you the story right now but it's hilarious," I said.

"I really don't want to know," the heiress said.

"I'll admit that I'm slightly curious," the fourth member of team RWBY said, walking up to us.

"Ah, Blake, right?"

"Yes."

"Well, it was nice to have met you all," I said, walking off.

"Well, that was an interesting class," Ozpin said, walking by me.

"Eh, it was the best way to teach them the basics. I just didn't think that they would just accept the fact that legendary monsters exist. We both know of some of the beasts that exist that shouldn't be feared but also know how to take down," I said.

"There is one we both know they should never be told about," Ozpin said.

"That's something I have to agree with. Well, got to get ready for my next class," I said, walking off.

Ruby-

"I've been training for this for years whereas you are just a child. Ozpin made a mistake, I should be the leader and not you!" Weiss yelled at me, storming off.

"Hey, Ruby, are you good?" Yang asked.

I just sat there unmoving.

"Yang, go calm Weiss down," Damion said, walking up to us. "I know what you want to say but she's your partner. Blake and I have this."

"Fine," Yang said.

"Blake, take Ruby to your room and shit!" he started as I used my semblance to just run away.

I ran to the roof and hid and just curled up into a ball and started crying. Eventually I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up in fear expecting Weiss to be there to beat me into submission, but instead I saw Blake there with a sad but sympathetic smile. She then knelt down and pulled me into a hug. I just cried into her shoulder as she just held me. Eventually I pulled away and dried my eyes.

"S-sorry about that," I said.

"It's alright, she was wrong by the way. When we were in the forest you came up with the plan to take the nevermore down, you were the one who got us all to work together. So I don't agree with what she said. You are the best leader out of the four of us," Blake said, her amber eyes looking into my silver ones.

"Thanks," I said, pulling her back into the hug.

"Now, let's get back," Blake said, helping me to my feet.

We slowly walked back to the room and got to homework. Eventually Weiss and Yang walked in and I saw Weiss looked sad and like she was upset just looking at me. I kept working and not looking at her until she brought me a cup of coffee.

"I don't know how much milk or sugar you wanted. I'm sorry for what I said, I was wrong. You obviously were chosen for a reason. Heh, I called you a child when I was acting childish myself. I'm sorry and will do my best to support you as a member of team RWBY," Weiss said.

"Thanks Weiss," I said. "Also make it half milk and a cup of sugar next time, or you can ask me to go with you to get coffee," I added, grinning.

"Duly noted."

Blake-

I walked up to the door and knocked, "Hello?"

"Come one in Blake," Damion said. I walked in and saw what looked like a miniature arena with a small office space on the top left side. "Follow me to my office," he said, walking to the small space. "So, why did you want to talk to me?"

"Um, it's about class earlier today, h-how do you know if you're a hybrid?" I asked.

"Well, normally you have moments where your memory is blank and you can sense emotions, especially negative emotions. You might look in the mirror and for some reason your eyes are red for a moment before they go back to normal. By the look on your face I'm assuming most of these apply to you," he said. "Another thing is that you can tell who is also a hybrid. Don't worry I was planning on talking to you about this already and yes, you are a hybrid. I do have to ask how you became one but it doesn't matter right now. We can work on getting you to be in full control like I am."

"Can we?" I asked.

"Definitely, we can start now by having you take your bow off, it hides your ears terribly and if you know the name Belladonna you can easily tell," he said. "Even without that information some can tell," he added, tapping his nose.

"Really? I thought I hid the scent enough," I sighed.

"Yes, another student has already come to me and figured it out. I can't give their name but just know that it was bothering them a lot. So take the bow off," he said again. I brought my hands to my bow and hesitated for a moment before removing it and revealing my ears. "See, not too difficult," he said, getting up and walking over to his door and locking it with his scroll. "My office is special in that not only is it an arena but there is a lock that only I can get through. I am a teacher for the faunus students to come to and feel comfortable. Also for those who can't control their sembances or are hybrids. I'm giving you access if you feel like the emotions are too much for you and you might change. You can come here unless I have my special lock. If you can't get in go to Ozpin, he will be notified along with the other teachers about you being a hybrid and if you tell them that it's too much they will help you. All of us have a way to keep hybrids under control, as does Ruby and Yang," he added.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Silver, my weapon has some as does Ruby and Yang's. Ozpin's is laced with silver as well. Most teachers have a small silver rod on them," he explained.

"So, what now?"

"Now, we get you to transform and get in control."

"I-I don't want to hurt you," I said.

"Aw, you think that you can hurt me," he said.

"Alright," I said, walking to the center of the arena. I focused on the negative energies I could feel and then I lost consciousness. I woke up and immediately realised that I was on my back and was sore all over. "What happened?"

"You tried to attack me and I used the side of my sword like a bat and kinda used too much power," Damion said, sitting off to the left of me. "NowI know what kind of hybrid you are though so that's good."

"What do you mean what kind?"

"There are more than one kind, similar to how there are more than one kind of faunus," he explained. "Normally if a faunus is turned they become one similar to their faunus traits. It doesn't matter what kind turns you because even humans won't always be the same as the one that changed them. I was turned by a Deer hybrid but I'm an Black Wolf hybrid. You are a Black Panther hybrid."

"What's the difference between Black Wolf and Wolf hybrids?"

"The term Black in hybrid terms normally means solo, or lone. It means we don't have to follow an alpha like most other types. I actually have some of the attributes of an alpha and you didn't follow so thus you are a Black and your form is like that of a panther. Now, for your assignment to help start you getting control of your other form. It is quite simple, I want you to tell at least one of your teammates about you being a faunus. I don't care who, I don't care when, just before break tell one of them."

"A-alright," I said, walking out.

Second Day Extra-

Ruby-

"Damion, I think I'm gay," I said.

"Took you long enough," my brother said.

"What? How did you know before I did?"

"Well, first off you never really like any kinda guy and secondly when I was training at Beacon and you would visit me your face would always get red around Glynda and I could literally smell the hormones coming off of you," he said.

"R-really?"

"Well, not literally smell but I could tell because I am your brother. So you don't have to worry about Blake figuring out that you like her because of your scent."

"W-w-w-what?!" I asked, confused, why he was saying this.

"Huh, I didn't think I would get it with the first guess," he said.

"Jerk!" I yelled, pulling Crescent Rose on him and shooting a sniper round into him before running off.

Glynda-

I quickly went to where I heard the shot and found Damion Rose on his back and a bullet with his sister's mark on it.

"Sigh, why am I not surprised that it took two days for her to shoot you?"

"Because, you know me Glynda," Damion groaned.

"I'm not even going to help or yell at Miss Rose because you probably deserved this," I said.

"Eh, I just guessed who she liked and got it right on the first try though," Damion said, still just lying on his back.

"You don't understand women at all," I sighed. "Where did the bullet even hit you to cause this reaction?"

"The dick," he said.

"Ah, well just remember you have classes to teach later," I said, walking off.

AN-

So, I didn't like how my last attempt at a RWBY fic went so here's one that went better. I will be skipping them finding out about Blake because it happens the exact same as in the show and also I made Blake and Ruby partners for a reason. The rest will happen as it comes to me as I have no clue where the frack this is going to go.
