Dyson Julia, and Eric arrived at Engelram's Warehouse. It looked like it still had some life left in with some of the lights still on. They went inside and looked around.

"Where does Engelram hang out in here?" Erik asked.

"As an Amphisbaena Fae he kind of slithers everywhere. I usually just call out." Julia replied.

They looked about some more.

"Engelram!" Julia called out. No answer.

"Engelram!" She called out again. Still no answer.

"He does have a large storage-like area in the back he uses as his private domain when he isn't playing peek-a-bo." Julia said. Dyson chuckled.

They arrived at the door and Dyson stepped forward and slowly opened it. It was dark, but they saw something flailing in the dark. Erik stepped inside and looked for the lights, and found the switch. When he flipped them on they saw Engelram's body and tail flipping up and down in hiccup-like convulsions. They ran over to him but were stopped by the sight of him. His tail had been severed and his chest slashed open from shoulder to waist down to his bowels. He oozed a combination of blood and some foamy-like white substance. He flailed in pool of his own blood and gasped heavily for air.

Julia ran, bent down in the pool of blood to hold up Engelram's head. Dyson held her arm just in case he had to pull her away quickly from the flailing of Engelram's tail.

"Engelram! What happened?" Julia said as she gripped Engelram's head.

Erik meanwhile called the JFM to send a medical team over, but Dyson looked up at Erik and shook his head. Dyson knew Engelram would not last long.

Erik put away his phone and looked around to see if anything or anyone else was in the room with while trying to avoid being hit by Engelran's flailing tail.

"Engelram! What happened? Julia shouted to him as he was gasping for air. Engelram's eyes were wide.

"Engelram!" Dyson shouted. "Can you tell us who did this to you?" As his body continued thrash and Dyson was trying to protect both himself and Julia from its thrashing.

"Engelram! Can you hear us?" Dyson shouted again.

"Kamu…" He gurgled through his own blood.

"Kamu? Who is Kamu?" Julia asked.

"They…are…coming!" He gurgled and sputtered.

Dyson suddenly smelled something, stood up quickly, shifted his eyes to his wolf, and sniffed hard.

Julia looked up at him as she was trying hold Engelram. "Dyson?"

"There is something here or was here. I smelt a whiff of it." Dyson said.

"Erik! Where are you?" Dyson shouted. No answer.

"Dammit! Erik!" All of a sudden Erik appeared right next to him. Dyson exhaled not realizing he was holding his breath.

"Man, I hate when you sneak up on me like that!" Dyson said.

"Sorry, man. Benefits of being a Shadow Fae." Erik replied.

"Did you see anything?" Dyson asked.

"Yes. A huge smear mark, and I mean huge. Like something was burnt on the ground. Hey? Why are you lights on?" Erik asked.

"I smelled something, but barely." Dyson said as he shifted his eyes to normal.

Everyone's attention returned to Engelram who continued to convulse hard.

"Engelram! Is there anything else you can tell us? Come on Engelram!" Julia yelled at him.

"Relic…find…" Engelram sputtered as blood poured out of his mouth, heaved one final time, and then his entire body collapsed.

Julia held Engelram for a few more moments the gently rested his head to the ground. She stood as they all surveyed his body.

"Good God! What happened to him? Who or what did this to him?" Julia said.

"Have no idea, but obviously something as big as he was to do that kind of damage." Erik replied.

"We need to get JFM here to pick up Engelram's body for an autopsy."

"Fat lotta good an autopsy is going to say beyond the obvious: he was slashed open almost down his spine." Julia said.

"That foamy substance that is coming out of his chest is not normal. Need to know what that is. May pinpoint who or what did this to him." Dyson replied.

"Agreed." Erik said as he called in the JFM Medical Examiner team.

When he finished Dyson asked "So where did you see this huge burnt spot?"

"In the next Warehouse, follow me." Erik replied as he led the way.

They went into the next Warehouse, and they saw the spot in question. To Dyson and Julia it looked like something crashed through but there was a huge burnt spot in the middle.

"See." Erik said.

"Yep. Looks like from the burnt spot to the sudden blast of boxes and crates something crashed out from the point of that spot." Dyson said.

"Do you smell anything?" Julia asked Dyson.

"I smell the same smell from the other Warehouse. It was strong when we entered this room but it is really strong here." Dyson replied.

"Corroborates your theory that that whomever or whatever it was moved from this burnt spot outward." Erik said.

"Weird." Julia.

All of a sudden they heard a crash in the other Warehouse where they left Engelram's body. They ran back over and saw several large boxes knocked over but Engelram's body was gone.

Erik quickly grabbed his phone and called the JFM. The operator picked up on the first ring.

"JFM Medical. How may I help you?" The operator answered.

"This is Erik Lykke. Hey, we called for an ME to Engelram's Warehouse in the Warehouse District. Did the ME team come and grab his body already?"

"No sir, we are still tracking the ME as enroute." The operator answered.

"I can smell that smell again. It is really pungent now." Dyson said to Julia.

"Okay, thanks." Erik said and hung up. "JFM is still enroute."

"Well, they will have the Forensics Team with them so…" Dyson said.

"Dyson." Julia interrupted as she pointed to a large burnt spot a few feet in front of them.

"Partner?" Erik asked.

"Whomever or whatever was in the other Warehouse was here." Dyson replied.

"How did they get past us?" Julia asked.

"Your guess is as good as mine." Dyson replied.

"Well, whomever or whatever was here took Engelram's body and escaped." Julia said as they observed the empty space.

"Yeah, let's go outside and await the ME Team." Dyson said.

"Great idea." Erik replied.

Bo and Lauren arrived at the Clubhouse to find their four children toddling about with toys strewn everywhere. Kenzi was setting up the table for dinner as Tamsin tried to keep the four children corralled.

"How did they have four of these?!" Bo and Lauren overheard Tamsin say as they walked in. Bo and Lauren laughed.

The four toddlers saw their parents and started waving and toddling over. Lauren picked up MaryAoife as Ryan held onto her legs looking to be held too. Bo picked up Char as she always wanted to be held, while Ethan seemed perfectly content standing between Bo's legs as he chewed on his pacifier and looked about.

"Blind leading the blind as usual." Bo joked.

"They must have some sort of spidey sense or something. When you two are not around they are everywhere. When you two arrive they are perfect little angels." Tamsin said.

"Now there is a 'sign and portent' of things to come!" Kenzi commented. Bo and Lauren laughed.

Bo went sat in a chair and Lauren sat on the couch near the TV as their four children crawled and banged around them nearby while Tamsin and Kenzi finished setting up the table for dinner.

"So were you able to take time to discuss the news?" Tamsin asked.

"Yeah, we did. But we still have lots of questions. Questions that we know cannot be answered until Bo after visits the Presidium." Lauren answered.

"Yeah, I wanted to ask. So you have been to this place before?" Bo asked Tamsin.

"Once, hundreds of years ago." Tamsin replied.

"Well, I, for one, cannot wait to hear what this crab shack is about." Kenzi commented.

"The Presidium may be many things, but a crab shack it is so not." informed Tamsin.

"What's it like?" Lauren asked.

"I could tell you, but it's best I leave the first impressions to Bo. But I will say this: the Presidium is no joke. They are comprised of powerful, ancient Fae."

"Trick said that in his meeting." Bo said.

"Yeah, but what he meant is that they possess ancient powers. Some the likes of which you may not have ever seen before. And there is a great deal of mysticism. My advice is to be mindful." Tamsin replied.

"How powerful are we talking here?" Kenzi asked.

"Let me put it this way, the power of Trick's blood would be considered a dime a dozen." Tamsin replied.

Bo, Kenzi and Lauren all looked at one another with concerned looks.

"Do I need to go packing?" Bo asked.

"All I am saying is be mindful." Tamsin cautioned.

Tamsin's phone rang. She looked at the Caller ID. It was Dyson.

"Hey! What's going on? Find Engelram?" Tamsin asked when she answered the phone.

"Yeah. He's dead." Dyson reported.

"What?" Tamsin said which caused Bo, Lauren and Kenzi to look at her.

"Yep, chest slashed open and the bottom of tail cut off. The JFM's ME and Forensics Teams are here although we turned the ME team around and had Forensics remain?" Dyson said.

"Why is that?" Tamsin asked.

"Because Engelram's body disappeared on us." Dyson said.

"What?" Tamsin asked incredulous.

"Yeah. Will fill you all in later when Forensics completes their sweep. Oh, and I also called in Reed to come and take a look as well." Dyson said.

"Understand."

"Have fun. Offer my regrets for dinner tonight." Dyson said.

"Will do." Tamsin said and hung up. "Dyson is not making it. Sends his love."

"Everything okay? Did they find out anything?" Kenzi asked.

"Yep. They found Engelram. Dead." Tamsin replied.

"What?" Kenzi said shocked.

"Slashed open according to Dyson." Tasmin replied

"Does the ME Team have any information?" Lauren asked.

"The ME Team wasn't needed, only the Forensics Team."

"Why is that?" Lauren asked.

"Because Engelram's body disappeared." Tamsin said.
