I would just like to say thank you to everyone for the support. Coming back after a year I did not think this story would catch anyone's attention, especially my previous viewers. I am thankful it has, and I cannot wait to continue this story for all of you.

(I realized I had Percy as an eleven-year-old. I bumped his age up to twelve, as was my original intention. Just to let anyone who might be confused in the future know.)

Camp Half-Blood

The following morning, Percy wasted no time in showing his parents the piece of rock he blasted off last night.

"Nah, no way. You just picked that up off the ground!" John joked while devouring the plate of scrambled eggs in front of him.

Rolling his eyes at his father's joke, Percy walked over to his mom at the kitchen counter and pushed the rock closer to her. "I am not joking. Look! It has scorch marks," he said as he passed the rock off to his mother.

"Well, if he did lie to impress, then it would just reinforce the saying of father like son," Selene said with a smirk. She couldn't see it as she turned to face the counter, but John stuck his tongue out at her before continuing his eating. She did not specifically say it, but John knew exactly what she was talking about.

"Uh what?" Percy asked. Curious as to what his mother meant.

"Nothing!" John blurted out before Selene could answer, chewed bits of egg falling out as he did. He did not want Percy to know one of his most embarrassing moments, but his outburst was a little more forced than he would have liked. A bit embarrassed by this, John decided to just go back to eating his eggs and drinking his coffee.

Not wanting to push his father, Percy closed in on his mother. "What's this about?" Percy whispered to her as he glanced over to his father, who was back to eating his food.

"Maybe your dad will tell you one day," Selene whispered with a smirk, "but it is rather funny. Anyways, let's get back to your rock."

Holding the rock between her two hands, Selene began to examine it closely. She found that Percy was in fact right. The one side was completely damaged and singed, while the opposite seemed to retain the typical grey rocky colour. Selene, greatly impressed with what her son had done, kissed the top of his head as she handed him back the rock. "Nice blast. Knew you could do it" Selene smiled as she took her place at the kitchen table.

"Just couldn't do it more than once though," Percy said as he sat down in the final chair.

"You will be a pro before you know it," John said. Thinking it was best to not seem distant as that would just bring back his outburst and his embarrassing story.

"It will take some time, but you will get the hang of it," Selene added before taking a sip of some strange liquid Percy had never seen before.

Having more important things on his mind, Percy did not care to ask. Instead, he thanked both his parents for their confidence in him before asking, "Oh, and why does my sword glow?" through bites of his eggs.

Selene seemed a bit confused.

As for John, well, he was a bit intrigued.

"Glowing?" Selene asked.

"Yuuh," Percy said with a mouth full of food. "Like when I was outside last night in front of the moon, the blade had this glowing thing around it. It looked cool when I swung my sword around like this," Percy finished as he made a circular motion with his index finger to show the motion.

"Ha!" John busted out laughing. "Might want to keep that noted for the ladies. Give em a nice show before the action."

"John!" Selene half shouted in a disapproving manner. She was not surprised, for John always jumped at these kinds of opportunities.

"What," John giggled, "just giving him some advice."

"He is only twelve!" Selene stated as she lightly slapped the back of John's head. Instead of stopping his silliness, this only made John giggle even more. Rolling her eyes, Selene looked back over at Percy, who seemed quite confused.

Percy had no clue what they were talking about. What show was his dad talking about? What was so funny about swinging his sword? "What was so funny?" he asked.

"Nothing," Selene said firmly as she glared over at John.

"Yeah, what your mom said," John said with a small giggle as he gave her a wink.

Percy paused for a moment to consider what his father had said, and then it hit him.

"You're talking about sex, aren't you?" Percy asked. He was confident this was what his father meant.

John let out a chuckle as he gave Percy a quick wink before taking his empty plate to the kitchen.

Percy was giggling to himself as he considered what his father had said in the approved context, but he quickly dropped it when he noticed his mother was staring at him with a disapproving look.

"I'm sorry," Percy said as he straightened up.

Rolling her eyes with a small smirk, Selene said, "As I was going to say before your father's outburst, the sword is kind of an extension of yourself. It is a conduit that will help you harness the energy exerted by the moon."

"Oh, I see," Percy said as he pondered this as he continued to eat his food.

Selene downed the rest of her drink before opening her mouth to speak. However, she was rudely interrupted by a loud shout.

"SELENE!" a rough sounding masculine voice shouted from outside the tent.

"Oh shit!" Selene cursed as she shot up out of her seat. Grabbing Percy and John, she rushed them to the living room.

"Who.." Percy was about to ask before being interrupted by Selene, who looked to be quite nervous.

"Never mind that, just listen to me," Selene whispered, her voice a bit jittery.

When John noticed this, he approached her and put his arm around her in the hope that it would help. Which it did.

Selene laid her head back on John for a second before becoming serious once again.

"Time has come for you to go to this camp we have been talking about," Selene began, her voice steadier this time.

"Bu.." Percy was about to protest, for he was not ready to leave yet.

"No buts," Selene cut Percy off. "You will be fine, and besides, your dad won't be too far away in case you need something. I will just ask you to be careful and stay safe and to never mention my name to anyone, even the friends you make. Can you promise me that? " Selene spoke as quickly as she could without mumbling.

Percy had no idea what his mother meant, and he truly did not want to go, but looking up at his mother's eyes, he noticed the sadness they displayed. At this moment, Percy knew it was not just about his desires, it must have been killing his mother to leave him once more.

"I will," Percy promised, through a small smile.

Selene kissed her son's forehead and said, "I will send you both to the entrance of the camp."

"SELENE, GET THE FUCK OUT HERE!" the voice from outside roared.

Cursing under her breath, Selene pushed John over to Percy. Giving them a melancholic smile, Selene said, "I love the both of you very much. I will see you soon."

Before John or Percy could say anything back, Selene snapped her fingers and a shadowy mist quickly consumed them both. The last thing either of them heard before everything went dark, was Selene shouting, "I am coming, father."

As the black mist dissipated and John and Percy became conscious of their new surroundings, Percy took a quick glance before letting out a loud sigh.

"I know.. Miss her already too," John sighed as well. Patting Percy on the back as he did.

"You think she will be okay?" Percy asked, as worry filled his mind. Would he ever see her again? She said soon, but how soon is soon?

"She has gotten out of tougher situations. She is a tough girl," John said as he looked up into the sky, staring at what little moon he could see.

This put Percy's mind at ease, but there was still one more thing he was thinking about. "Did you also hear her say father before everything went dark?"

Letting out a small laugh, John said, "yeah, that douchebag always seemed to find her wherever she was. No idea what he wanted this time, but it did make her quite nervous."

Percy's worry began to creep back in as his father said this.

Quickly noticing what he had said, John quickly added, "but she will be fine. She was most likely just upset we had to leave so quickly."

"Yeah.. probably," Percy sighed.

Noticing his son's depressed demeanor, John put his arm around Percy before saying, "don't worry Perce, let's just get you into this camp."

Nodding his head, Percy gave another glance at his surroundings. Currently, he was standing on a hill. Percy could see strawberry fields, a giant lone pine tree, a big looking farmhouse with a sand pit nearby, a small body of water, a sign on a Doric style archway that read Camp Half-Blood, some cabins lined up in a U-shape, and some other things Percy did not know of. However, the most important piece was the lack of people around.

"This is it? It looks dead," Percy asked, a bit confused as to where everyone was.

Chuckling, John said, "well we are pretty far from the inside. You can barely see most things."

"I guess," Percy said, shrugging.

"But it does look just as nice as your mother stated," John said as he admired the view. "Sad I won't be able to see inside," John sighed.

Spinning around upon hearing this, Percy said, "wait what? Why can't you?"

"I am only mortal, Percy. Your mom said mortals and beasts cannot enter past this hill for the camp is protected by some barrier," John explained, "that is why she thought it best to send you here. And now I see why."

"Oh," Percy said, as he let out a sad sigh. He knew his father could not stay forever, but he thought he had more time.

"Don't worry; when your mom messages me the all clear, you can come home," John promised. He knew this was not entirely true as Selene's orders were for Percy to stay at camp until things changed as his safety was the most important task. Coming home was possible, but it couldn't be permanent anymore.

Percy perked up a bit at this, for it was some assurance that he wouldn't be stuck here forever.

"Okay," Percy said, with a melancholic smile.

After walking over and embracing his son, John stepped back after a few seconds.

"Cheer up, I am sure you will meet some cool people better then us adults," John said with a smile. He

"Yeah, and maybe they will be cooler," Percy smirked.

"Yeah yeah," John said as he rolled his eyes, "now off with you. I need to catch a ride back home before it is too late."

Hugging his father one last time, trying his best not to shed a tear, Percy began to walk towards the camp before stopping. Where am I to go? He thought to himself. Turning around, he asked the same question out loud to his father, "Where am I to go though?"

"Try the house," John said back before waving one last time and turning around so that Percy had no excuse to stand and try and chat some more.

Watching his father disappear, Percy mumbled to himself, "thanks," before turning back around and continuing into the camp.

It was not long before Percy appeared on the deck of this baby-blue coloured farmhouse.

What a strange colour, Percy thought to himself as he slowly approached the front door. Once he had reached the front, Percy took a deep breath before knocking.

"One minute," a masculine voice shouted from inside.

As Percy waited, his nerves began to get the better of him. He did not know what to expect.

After what felt like an eternity but was only a couple of minutes, the door opened. And out came a chubby-faced man with blue eyes and black curly hair. He was wearing a yellow tiger-striped Hawaiian shirt that reminded Percy of those weird druggies who hung out in the local park. He held what seemed like a can of diet coke in his left hand.

"Oh great, another one," he grumbled before walking past Percy as he cracked open his can of diet coke.

Percy could not even muster a hello before the man disappeared. The fuck, Percy thought to himself. Confused as to what just occurred. However, Percy did not get much time to think about this as someone else walked out moments later. However, unlike the last one, this one was completely different. At first, Percy noticed it was a man coming out. After the "man" showed his entire body, Percy jumped back.

"Oh my god," Percy blurted out loud. However, he did not mean this but did not have a second to feel embarrassed about it. For standing in front of him was not just a man, but a middle-aged man's torso, clothed with a coat and vest, with short brown hair and a nice combed beard, that was attached to a white haired horse's body and legs.

The half man did not seem to react at all to Percy's outburst. What he seemed interested in was his wellbeing and where he had come from.

Percy found it quite hard to respond as the words kept getting caught in his throat from the shock of seeing something so strange.

"I... uh... was sent here by my father," Percy manages to say.

Nodding his head, the half man ushered Percy into the house and towards what seemed like an office. Sitting down in a chair in front of a desk, Percy took a quick glance around as the half man walked around behind his desk. From what Percy could tell, the office was full of old stuff. There was a record player, a small television, a computer, and a boom box. There was more, but Percy did not have time to look for the half man who began to talk once more.

"I am quite sorry for the fright. I thought you might have been one of the campers," the half man apologized. "My name is Chiron, the camp activities director. And before you ask about the horses' ass, I am a.."

"Centaur?" Percy cut in, not even realizing he had done so. His mom had talked about them during their discussions. But she always spoke as if they were monsters and did not think he'd ever talk to one. When Percy realized what he had done, he quickly apologized.

Smiling, Chiron said, "no need to apologize. So, I assume you are somewhat knowledgeable within our world?"

Percy simply nodded his head.

"Interesting," Chiron said as he stroked his beard. "You said your dad dropped you off?"

"Yes," Percy responded, making sure to keep any mention of his mother quiet.

"Hmm…" Chiron said as he kept stroking his beard. He looked to be pondering something. But just as quickly as he began, Chiron stopped and smiled, "no matter. It makes no difference. All that matters is that you got here safe and sound. We can discuss more later. But for now, we must get down to business."

Opening a drawer and pulling out a CD. Chiron placed it into a dvd player before heading for the door.

Looking over at a confused Percy, Chiron said, "it is just a film we show all new campers. I will see you when it is over. Chiron exited the room, closing the door, leaving Percy alone as the film began with some weird Greek music.

What have I gotten into? Percy said to himself as he shook his head.

"So, you're a demi-god…."
