Author's Note: Hi there, just letting you know that this is not dead yet (I hope). It's just more of a little hiatus, because recently I've been having a bit of a creative block but I've been able to slowly pump some motivation back into me the last couple of days, so hopefully I can pick this project back up again soon.

For now, I thought I could sneak a little drabble in that I did sometime earlier this year but that I actually like quite a bit. I know that this is probably the last ship anyone is here for, but eh. What can I do? You might have noticed at this point that I developed quite a love for this rarepair over the years and really find a lot of joy in musing about their relationship.

Also thank you for the third review! I've certainly discovered quite some fun in trying my hand on RyoAli (and AkiSako). I am always a little bit more insecure about writing for ships that already have a large amount of fanwork going for them, so hearing that anyone enjoys my attempts at Ryo and Alice makes me happy!

Anyways, yes. After this long, probably super uninteresting speech, have a little Rarepair-Fluff from earlier this year.

EtsuNe [Etsuya Eizan x Nene Kinokuni] - Just a painfully soft, fluffy showcase of a night after a busy day. (It's set in the future, they're married here and have three kids.)

After a lengthy day of work, after a nearly eternal discussion with an outraged babysitter and after she'd brought all three of her sons into bed, Nene only had energy left to lay down into bed and take out her historic-drama novel.

She'd managed to read twelve pages full of backstabbing, ballrooms and 19th century sass as she heard the distant sound of the apartment's door being opened. And then, one page later, her husband entered the bedroom with one hand on his tie.

"Good evening, baby." He greeted, the exhaustion of the day evident in his voice. Nene adjusted her glasses as she responded. "Don't you think that 'good night' is more suitable at this time?"

Etsuya continued to undo his tie as he moved towards the closet. "I'll try to get back before dinner tomorrow, I promise." He hummed.

"I wasn't home at dinner myself." Nene commented before she closed her book and began crawling over to the nightstand. "The sitter quit today."

On cue she heard her husband's more than familiar groan. "Again?!" He finally managed to pull the tie off his collar and went on to put it back into the closet. "There's a limited amount of sitters in this country! If this keeps on I'll be forced to hire someone from overseas."

Once the tie was where it belonged, he got out of his suit-jacket while simultaneously turning to face his wife. "What did the boys do this time?"

"From what I understood of Tanaka-san's rant, Shigeo somehow replaces her hand-sanitiser with petroleum jelly and something about bugs being everywhere..." Nene sighed, instinctively raising her hand to rub her temple.

Etsuya's eyes rolled upwards as he grunted. "Why is it that these kids can't behave for even one day?" While it took her a moment to come up with her reply, Nene couldn't help but to smirk slightly as she did. "Genes, I'd say."

"Of course it's always my fault." Etsuya spoke as he began to unbutton his shirt. But Nene saw how the ends of his mouth had subtly lifted as well.

The next moments were spent in silence, but when he had finished dressing into his sleepwear, Etsuya began talking again. "I guess I will have to send the three troublemakers to my aunt then tomorrow." He walked closer to the head of the bed. "She'll throw one of her hissy-fits for not contacting her sooner but I'll deal with that tomorrow."

With the decision made, he laid down into the bed. "I'm too fucking tired to argue now."

"Etsuya..." Nene said, her voice much softer and less stern than she had aimed for. "...Language."

She moved closer to him and as soon as he noticed, he stretched out his arm to pull her towards him in more quicker manner. Thankfully she rested her head against his chest.

"If my eyes wouldn't fall close any second, I would certainly chastise you for giving your aunt so much trouble." She whispered and snuggled closer.

"I know." Etsuya murmured back and kissed her head. And so the two drifted off to sleep, in order to gain the energy to continue maintaining their newly build dynasty tomorrow.
