Trick did not realize how much he missed the Presidium until he had moved back, but then on his first morning there realized there were aspects of the Presidium he did not miss. Like the crack of dawn wake ups starting at 4:00AM.

"Dear God! Where is the fire?" Trick exclaimed reflexively when he was awakened by the Seneschal his first morning at the Presidium. They met his exclamation with a blank stare.

"Sorry. It has been awhile." Trick said as it took him a brief moment then to focus on where he was. The Seneschal nodded.

He had recalled that during the harvest season wake ups happened at 3:00AM. The early wake up were due to The Regnant being a farmer prior to her ascension so if one wanted to keep up with the Prescotti's, early morning wake-ups were the routine. When he and Bo returned to the County the first time after her Recognition the Seneschal returned with them and he slowly became re-acclimatized to their presence. Now he realized he had to become re-acclimatized to the Presidium way of life.

As he looked out onto the morning sunrise he quickly clicked through in his mind the highlights of his schedule for the day. Breakfast then a staff meeting then meeting Kenzi on her first day over at The Agency then dinner with Taoiseach Eva Sandalli in the City of Nahala.

Trick had arrived at the Presidium a little over a month ahead of Bo and Lauren, their family, and Kenzi for his Installation Ceremony in the City of Quinnmoor. Dyson, Evony and Stasio arrived a week later to represent the County and Dyson represented Trick's forged family as Bo, Lauren, Kenzi, and Tamsin were all in motion to transfer their responsibilities, and say their good-byes.

Trick was crowned by the Acharyani of the Monadori Sanctuary in a grand ceremony before his delegational principalities. The Ruling Couple, along with several of their children, Regent Saladin were all in attendance. So were the other members of the Tetrarch, the Regency Council, and Parliamentary dignitaries to include Taoiseach Eva Sandalli. Afterwards, there was a grand reception followed by dancing. Trick smiled at the memory and shook his head. Evony was in her element as she basked in the attention she received as dignitary after dignitary approached her to welcome her back to the Presidium while Stasio looked on. Trick noted that as the evening went on Stasio seemed to be making connections of his own and incisively worked the room. Dyson, however, spent the entire time gawking at the landscape, the architecture, the technology, and the way of life. He simply could not believe his eyes, and commented to Trick he felt as if he were living in a dreamworld. Where has this place been? Dyson had asked Trick, both frustrated and angry. The Fae on their own plane could have been saved so much anguish, struggle and heartache, and could have truly lived out their lives openly and freely. Trick knew that one day he would have to sit down with all of them one day and explain his rationale for leaving at the time.

Trick rose out of bed, put on his slippers that awaited him and the robe draped on his bed and groggily followed the Seneschal into his 3,000 - square foot bathroom. When he entered the sun briefly hit his face causing Trick to rea back for a brief moment and cover his eyes.

"Must the sun wake up with me?" Trick complained as moved out of the sun's glare and surveyed the bathroom. Trick always shook his head over the size of things at the Presidium. The entire Clubhouse could fit in his bathroom alone.

He did a quick scan as the Seneschal motioned him to his inner bathroom, nearly 800-square feet in it of itself so he could tend to his immediate business. The design of his entire bathroom was in keeping with the overall Presidium design. Palatial, yet simple, a mix of hard stone and marble everywhere. His inner bathroom had a sink, a seating area, and communications so Trick could take in the highly regulated Presidium broadcasts. Trick shook his head. What did the Presidium think people did while they were sitting on the toilet that warranted a room inside a room, but then he smiled, appreciating the comforts nevertheless.

When he emerged from the bathroom and his eyes were fully functional the Seneschal greeted him with Kalestia tea, his favorite from the City of Ballivor. Prior to his Inauguration he had seen the tea out at one of the local markets and broke out at nearly a dead run and emptied the marketer's stock of it. The tea was five times more powerful than the strongest coffee on his plane, but instead of having the shock effect like some of the stronger energy drinks on his plane this tea endured in one's system throughout the day. He planned to serve it to Kenzi to see if she would ever give up coffee in favor of it.

He surveyed the bathroom again as the Seneschal awaited. His outer bathroom had a full scale seating area, several sinks scattered about for different purposes, one large rain shower, and three tubs: a normal sized one, another one that was a large wading pool where he could step down and wade in like a pool, and a third tub that over-flowed like an infinity pool through an open wall area and onto the outside where Trick could take a bath while enjoying the morning sunrise and garden outback. Trick recalled how Bo loved her infinity bathtub. She said it was like taking a bath in the outdoors. If The Regnant could take the roof off the Presidium she would. She loved permeating every aspect of the Presidium with the outdoors. Open windows, doors, whole walls. The Great Atrium was so vast that people forgot it was one big open hall with a roof. The offices it sheltered were the enclosed. Trick thought of the architecture like an Italian villa where there was an outer quadrangle and then the inner sanctum that was the home.

Trick quickly glanced at the time. Prior to breakfast, Fae at the Presidium engaged in some form of physical activity. His was Pi-Man-Ya, a form of stretching similar to Tai-Chi Dakari had exposed Trick to before he left the Presidium followed by a routine of combatives, and Trick periodically kept up the practice ever since. The Regnant would spar with either Regent Saladin or one of her children, and it was always a Presidium event to watch The Regnant spar with The Queen Consort. Whenever they did word would get out, and Fae would make a point to be in the vicinity to watch of the training fields to watch. Next to Regent Saladin The Queen Consort was only one who could not only withstand all of The Regnant's natural powers as well her inherited powers, but could also challenge her to invoke new ones.

Trick made for one of the sinks to wash his face, and prepare for his morning workout. This was a big day for Kenzi, and he wanted to make sure he was there on time to support her. Kenzi had arrived a few days ago, ahead of Bo who was expected in the next couple of days followed by Lauren and their family. Trick was glad that Kenzi had arrived on her own so they could spend a few days together while he showed her around. Trick recalled how he had greeted her at the Great Atrium, and smiled and stayed smiling as she took it all in. Her mouth went agape and seemed to have stayed that way for the last several days. It was all so surreal to that she thought they were all dead and living in Fae heaven.

As Trick finished dressing for his morning workout he thought about the event he was looking forward to the most. Dinner with Eva. Between her duties as the Taoiseach of the Parliament of Fae and his on the Tetrarch they had not been able to spend much time together since he returned. They snuck in the odd breakfast here, lunch there, and dinner wherever, but not enough to really spend quality time together just the two of them. He planned to rectify that tonight by taking her to dinner out in the City of Nahala. Its patron Her Serene Highness Maxima recommended a restaurant called "Palasides" that was popular for quiet dining. Like everyone else who lived at the Presidium the surrounding city of Nahala was breathtaking and every bit as beautiful as their Patron. The City was a combination of bustling metropolis, but with none of the oppressive high towers peppered throughout like New York save for the monuments. The City also had quaint sections to it, and what was even more amazing it had several small rivers that flowed through it that just added to the ambiance. It was like Paris met Prague met Venice. Trick shook himself out of reverie and checked the time one more time then looked at the Seneschal.

"Time to get my Pi-Man-Ya on." Trick said as the Seneschal nodded.

Kenzi sat in the outer office of Agent Prime Scarlett de Lucia, head of The Agency. Agent Nadu Chennai sat next to her as they watched the hustle and bustle of the people coming in and out of Agent Prime's office, and the occasional bellow of a woman's voice inside as she shouted orders to the Fae moving in and out. The place looked chaotic to Kenzi. Even though Kenzi had arrived a few days ago she was about to start her first day in her new job.

"Don't allow the chaos and agitation fool you. This is all very normal for Agent Prime's office." Agent Chennai said.

"Really?" Kenzi's eyes still wide from all of the movement. Trick was supposed to be there with her but left word he was running late from his morning staff meeting but was on his way. In the short time Kenzi had been at the Presidium she felt as if her jaw had yet to come off the floor.

When she first arrived at the Presidium within the Great Atrium she was met by Trick, Agent Chennai and to her astonishment His Serene Highness Jock Prescotti. The Seneschal had escorted her through the transport portal the same as they had done with Trick, Bo and Vex the first time they traveled to the Presidium. Jock said not only did he wish to greet Kenzi upon her arrival, but also represented the entire Ruling Family in welcoming her to the Presidium. To her own surprise she reflexively inquired about Antony thinking he would have greeted her as well, but Jock informed her Antony had to return to Nassoria, his patronage city on local affairs, but would be back in a couple of weeks and conveyed his warm wishes upon her arrival. Kenzi smiled at the thought.

They had all shown her to her private chambers, and when the Seneschal opened the doors Kenzi tentatively stepped inside and took in the sight. It was two levels with an Atrium all its own. She looked up and saw a grand staircase and balcony, and windows that reached the ceiling in some places.

"So who all else lives here? Other Agents besides me?" Kenzi asked.

"This is all yours." Trick replied. Kenzi's eyes went wide as she took it all in again.

"This? Is all mine?" Kenzi asked again. Trick nodded. Kenzi could have fainted. Instead she reached out for Trick's hand to steady herself.

"Now I know how Bo felt." Kenzi said.

"It is my understanding you had the means to buy such a place or build it. Why didn't you?" Jock asked.

"Nostalgia, I guess. Plus, we didn't need more than what we had…and functionally easier to clean up after, you know, the occasional zombie, demon, and witch attacks." Kenzi said. Trick chuckled.

"I guess that answers that then. Shall we start your tour?" Jock said as he motioned her forward.

"Sure!" Kenzi replied as she held onto Trick's hand as they began the tour of her new 50,000 square-foot private chambers, and did not let go of his hand the entire time. Trick actually felt touched that Kenzi felt the need to latch onto him for assurance. She never felt more like a second grand-daughter than she did at that moment. As they toured her new home Kenzi saw there were fresh flowers everywhere. Jock informed her they were from Antony welcoming her to her new home. She smiled. When they finished their tour Trick thought it might be best if Kenzi were left alone to acclimatize to her new surroundings, and invited her to join him and Eva for dinner inside his chambers.

After Trick, Jock, and Agent Chennai left Kenzi looked around and saw the nearest balcony and went for it. She leaned out onto the balcony edge and took in the cool breeze and City of Nahala in the distant view. The city was gorgeous in daylight, and the architecture simply stunning. Reminded her of a mash of Paris meets Venice in a lot of ways and with lots of trees. She decided to sit on one of the satee's and take in the view. The Presidium was like Narnia. She simply could not believe it and started to cry. Suddenly the Seneschal appeared.

"Milady?" The Seneschal inquired.

"Sorry. Just feeling overwhelmed right now by everything." Kenzi said as she wiped her eyes.

"Her Royal Highness is on the comms." The Seneschal said. Kenzi looked up.

"Her Royal Highness? You mean Bo?" Kenzi queried.

"On the comms, Milady." The Seneschal replied. Kenzi sat up from the satee.

"How do I turn on the comms again? Only seen it used a few times." Kenzi replied.

"Call on." The Seneschal replied and Bo's image shimmered into view. Kenzi felt as if she was sitting in Bo and Lauren's living room.

"Bo! I mean Your Royal Highness!" Kenzi said. Bo laughed.

"Hey!" Bo said excitedly then her eyes frowned. "Have you been crying?"

"Trust me, these are tears of sheer wonderment. This place is beyond anyone's wildest dreams."

"I know. I am both excited and nervous when Lauren sees it." Bo replied. "So how do you like your new digs?"

"Beyond anything I could have imagined. And that Atrium? That place is incredible." Kenzi said.

"Yeah, it took my breath away too. So what's up?" Bo asked.

"What do you mean? You called me." Kenzi said.

"No I didn't. The Seneschal said you needed to speak with me." Bo replied. Kenzi looked at the Seneschal who bowed and then walked away. Kenzi smiled.

"They really do know how to anticipate one's needs." Kenzi said as she watched them go. Then she turned back to Bo. "So how is the packing coming along?"

"Really good. I have the house up on the market with Cheryl Fields' Real Estate brokerage so it should sell pretty fast. Janet, Zachary, Bruce and I met with Liam and Ryanon some of the financial details so now they can assume complete control. They will also be part of the group that will help coordinate the Transition. Lauren is in contact with Drs. Makar and Emilia Prescotti to set up the joint collaboration effort with the JFM, and Dr. Danna will be in charge of the JFM once Lauren leaves."

"Not Hollis?" Kenzi asked.

"Nope. He loves being right where he is at. Breaking balls and whipping progress. Says it allows him the flexibility to operate the way he likes to operate." Bo replied.

"Well, he's good at it. Congratulations to Abigail." Kenzi said.

"Yep. There's a party for her tonight at The Bilshire Hotel to celebrate her promotion." Bo replied.

"Fancy."

"You know doctor get-togethers."

"So it sounds like you have few more things to do." Kenzi said.

"Yep, but I will be there sooner than I thought." Bo replied.

"Good. So how are the four amigos? Fill me in on every detail." Kenzi asked.

"You just left a few hours ago." Bo said.

"Yep, but I missed my daily breakfast time story from you on what antics they pulled or what they discovered for the first time." Kenzi replied.

"Well, Ryan and Char decided to gang up on Mandy…" Bo began as Kenzi sat back and listened to every detail. She and Bo ended up spending about another 30 minutes on the phone before they ended their call.

Kenzi rose from her satee and was about to head upstairs to her bedroom to take advantage of the infinity bathtub when the Seneschal announced the arrival of Her Serene Highness Maxima Prescotti. As Maxima entered the room Kenzi hesitated for a minute then curtsied. Maxima acknowledged her curtsey with a slight bow of her head.

"Blessings and felicitations, Ms. Malikov." Maxima greeted.

"Peace and protection be upon you and your loved ones." Kenzi replied.

"Thank you! You know our customs." Maxima said.

"I am learning, slowly but surely." Kenzi replied.

"So, Ms. Malikov how are you settling in?"

"Just Kenzi please. The Ms.'s part makes me sound old."

"Very well. On behalf of The Ruling Family welcome to the Presidium."

"Thank you. I was just on the phone with Bo telling her how much I think this place is beyond amazing."

"How is Her Royal Highness?" Maxima asked.

"Seems to be doing fine. Says she will be here sooner than she expected." Kenzi replied.

"Glad to hear. I am here to take you on a tour of the City of Nahala today and then you shall be joining Their Majesties for dinner this evening." Maxima said.

"Great. I was just about to go upstairs Your Serene Highness to take advantage of that fabulous infinity tub or pool or whatever you call it, and then I can change." Kenzi replied.

"No worries. I can come back when you are ready." Maxima said as the Seneschal walked in.

"Milady, His Serene Highness Antony Prescotti is on the comms." The Seneschal said. Kenzi smiled.

"Call on." Kenzi said still somewhat unsure she used the right terminology as she glanced at the Seneschal for assurance. The air shimmered and Antony came into view. It looked like he was sitting outside in the middle of an office with windows that shown a town that seemed to be a blend of a country village and a bustling city.

"Hello Kenzi!" Antony greeted.

"Hello, Your Serene Highness!" Kenzi replied with a smile. Antony saw his sister standing there.

"Hello Maxima!" Antony said.

"Hello Antony!"

"I just wanted to check in to see if you were all settled in." Antony said.

"I am, Your Serene Highness. His Serene Highness Jock, Agent Chennai and Trick all gave me the grand tour of my new home, and now Her Serene Highness is about to take me on a tour of the City of Nahala." Kenzi replied.

"Good."

"And Mummy and Mother are having her for dinner tonight with the rest of us." Maxima added.

"Glad to hear. I am here on business for another few weeks, but when I return I shall be honored to continue your tour of the Presidium, if you will allow me." Antony said.

"That would be lovely, Your Serene Highness." Kenzi replied then asked, "You are away for a few weeks, is there a problem?"

"Local matter that I have to tend to as Patron. It involves some negotiation that will take time."

"Anything I can do to help?" Kenzi asked.

"No, but thank you for your concern. Please enjoy your orientation to the Presidium and I will see you when I return." Antony replied.

"Good luck with your negotiations." Kenzi said and the call ended.

"Well, I guess we should get started then." Kenzi said to Maxima.

"Whenever you are ready." Maxima replied.

Kenzi's thoughts returned to the present when she was jolted by another round of shouting from Agent Prime's office.

"Wow! Who is she chewing out?" Kenzi asked.

"It is her normal way of doing business." Agent Chennai assured. Then Trick walked up and both Kenzi and Agent Chennai stood up.

"Could you be any later?" Kenzi said not realizing she had addressed Trick in a manner Fae standing nearby were unaccustomed. Trick guided her back to her seat as they all sat back down.

"My apologies. My previous meeting ran a little late. You haven't gone in yet?" Trick replied.

"No, and it sound like she eating her Agents for breakfast, lunch and dinner." Kenzi replied.

"I am sure that is not the case." Trick said as they all heard another round of bellowing from Agent Prime's office.

"Then again I could be wrong." Trick amended. Just then an aide approached.

"So what's next?" Agent Prime shouted out to her assistant, Liya.

"Your Excellency, Milady Mackenzie Malikov is here!" Liya replied.

"Send her in! And get me the current status reports on what's happening in the City of Denaud! Then I want to speak with Agent Irilam!"

"Yes, Your Excellency!" Liya turned and then nodded to Kenzi and Agent Chennai and motioned the into Agent Prime's offices.

"Agent Prime is ready to see you now." The Aide said as they all stood up as she motioned them towards Agent Prime's office. When they entered her office Agent Prime had several Fae moving to leave her office. She stood up and rounded her desk, and extended her hand out to Trick.

"Your Excellency! Welcome back to the Agency! I don't think we ever had the pleasure of meeting one another. I was installed after you had left the Presidium. Agent Prime Scarlett de Lucia!" Agent Prime said. Agent Prime Scarlett de Lucia, a petit, 5'6' inches in height, had long red hair that flowed down to her chest, lively green eyes, and a sassy disposition to match judging by her bellowing. But what amazed Kenzi is that Agent Prime looked no older that she was, but Kenzi knew she had to have been hundreds of years old.

"Thank you! May I introduce Ms. Mackenzie Malikov." Trick replied. Agent Prime extended her hand out to Kenzi and they shook.

"Hi! Please just call me Kenzi."

"Please sit." Agent Prime said as she motioned them to three chairs in front of her desk. "Do you need anything?"

"No, I am more than stuffed." Kenzi replied.

"Big meal this morning?" Agent Prime asked.

"Big meals at all times. I usually do not eat three squares a day, let alone every day One thing I can say about the Presidium, they make sure you are fed." Kenzi replied. Agent Prime smiled as she resumed her seat behind her desk.

"So Ms. Malikov…"

"Kenzi, please."

"Very well. Kenzi. It is my understanding from the Ruling Couple you would serve the Agency well as an Agent of the Presidium as we move to incorporate the 25th Delegation."

"That is what I have been told."

"Their Majesties informed me that the original sponsor for your employment here at the Agency was Nadu here." Agent Prime said as she quickly pointed to Agent Chennai. Both Kenzi and Trick looked at Nadu surprised who met their looks with a smile.

"I saw your potential, but you yourself proved it with your daring by taking on Her Majesty's enemies." Agent Chennai replied.

"Well, dealing with the Fae does build one's backbone." Kenzi said.

"Clearly, if you were able to escape a giant Basilisk." Agent Prime replied.

"Only because of The Regnant and Antony, I mean, His Serene Highness Antony." Kenzi said. Agent Prime smiled and then with her right hand waved over her desk and an image shimmered with data on it.

"So let us take a quick review shall we?" Agent Prime said as she reviewed the data. "Mackenzie Malikov, age 34, born circa 1991 of Russian descent, ran away from home, lived on the streets, met Her Royal Highness along with His Excellency here. Formed a paranormal investigative service, died circa 2014, returned from dead, obviously, became co-proprietor of the Dal Riata, created the DRM, became fabulously wealthy, and now sitting before me looking to become an Agent." Agent Prime waved her hand and the screen disappeared. "So tell me what do you think you bring to the table?"

"Well, as I understand it both The Regnant and Agent Chennai here thought my expertise could be an asset as my plane makes the transition over to the Presidium." Kenzi replied.

"Agent Prime, as you know, I recommended Kenzi to The Regnant. She and the Princess Royal have built an impressive series of programs to improve the quality of life of Fae who have had to live principally in obscurity on her plane." Agent Chennai added.

"And in near squalor-like conditions from what I also understand." Agent Prime said.

"As I had informed The Regnant, Kenzi could have walked away, but instead she chose and continues to choose to help Fae in need." Agent Chennai replied.

"Well, I certainly recognize the skill set, skills that would be critical in building the bridge between Fae and Humans. I just have one concern." Agent Prime said.

"What is that?" Kenzi asked.

"You." Agent Prime said pointedly.

"Not following." Kenzi replied.

"The not-so muted scuttlebutt on your plane is that you may no longer be human." Agent Prime said.

"Because she died and returned from dead?" Trick said.

"The Regnant picked up on it the moment she met you. But you also didn't strike her as being Fae either. Hence the big mystery." Agent Prime said.

"We ran tests on Kenzi for weeks checking for anything out of the ordinary and found nothing." Trick answered.

"While we may be Fae there are things still unknown even to us. I am concerned such an unknown may lie in you. As Agent Prime, I can't afford for that unknown to reveal itself at an inopportune moment, and if it does I will have to act. The preservation and the protection of the Realm is my first and foremost duty. A Realm that will one day be run by Her Royal Highness." I trust you understand the magnitude." Agent Prime said.

"I do. I have always had Her Royal Highness's back and I always will." Kenzi replied.

"I trust you will." Agent Prime said as she called out "Send in Agents Greystone and Korvo!" A few moments later, two men appeared. Both of equal height and both rather dashing in Kenzi's eyes. Agent Prime stood followed by Trick, Kenzi, and Agent Chennai.

"This is Agent Ian Greystone." Agent Prime introduced as she walked around her desk. Ian Greystone was 6'2 with short, wavy hairy combed back. He had a perfectly trimmed moustache and beard, blue eyes, and a broad athletic frame.

"Nice to meet you." Ian Greystone said as he offered a slight nod of his head.

"This is Agent Gunnar Korvo." Agent Prime introduced. Gunnar Korvo was slightly shorter that Agent Greystone, his hair was shaved nearly bald. He too had blue eyes, wore a scruffy, three-day old beard, and while Agent Greystone's body was broad in its musculature Korvo's was thick.

"Nice to meet you." Gunnar Korvo said as he offered a slight nod of his head.

"These two Agents will be assigned to work with you as we transition the 25th Delegation. They will also be responsible for your indoctrination and training into the Agency. In turn, you will responsible for their indoctrination and training in the human way of life, their guide so to speak. Together, you three will serve as the driving point for the transition." Agent Prime explained.

"I thought Agent Chennai would be my…trainer so to speak." Kenzi said.

"Agent Chennai is assigned to The Regency." Agent Prime replied as she walked behind her desk.

"I will leave you to it to get acquainted then." Agent Prime said as she offered a slight bow in the direction of Trick. "Welcome to the Agency!" They all smiled and left Agent Prime's office to the sound of her shouting more directives at her staff.

When they emerged out into the hallway Kenzi stopped to take in the meeting.

"Boy, that was quick." Kenzi said.

"Agent Prime is very efficient with her time." Agent Chennai said.

"And know this, she knows more than you think she knows. Never try to cross intelligence brains with her." Agent Korvo said.

"So this is how this will work, tomorrow morning we will begin with the physical aspects of your Agency training. I will stop by tomorrow at 4:30 AM to escort you to the Agency training grounds.

"4:30 AM?!" Kenzi exclaimed.

"No one escapes the early hour wake-ups or the morning workouts." Trick replied.

"Then you will have time to attend to your personal needs and then at 8:00AM we will begin your formalized training at the Agency's Indoctrination Center otherwise known as the AIC which also serves as a place of work for Agents. That is the arm you will be part of from this day forward." Agent Greystone said. Kenzi looked to Agent Chennai.

"You will be fine Kenzi. I have every confidence. In fact, I think you will turn out to be quite an exceptional Agent." Agent Chennai said.

"Will I see you again? Kind of gotten use to you." Kenzi asked. Agent Chennai smiled.

"Yes, you will see me quite a bit at the AIC. Like Agent Greystone said we all work at the AIC so you will see me from time to time." Agent Chennai replied as she placed one hand on Kenzi's arm. "I have to go. But good luck and if there is anything you need please call me." Agent Chennai said.

"Thank you, Nadu." Kenzi replied as Agent Chennai offered a smile to rest of the group, bowed her head slightly to Trick who returned the acknowledgement and then left.

"You are quite right to admire Agent Chennai. She is one of the very best. You know she was trained by The Queen Consort's mother, Lilas Arasgain."

"She was trained well. I hope to be just as good." Kenzi replied.

"And better. Always strive to be better. Keeps Agents on their toes. I will leave you to Rana McCorrigan and will see you in the morning." Agent Greystone said.

"Thank you." Trick said as both men offered slight bows of their heads and then left.

Just then one of Agent Prime's aides came up.

"Your Excellency?" The Aide said.

"Yes?" Trick replied.

"Beverly from your office called. She said the Princess Royal called to say will be arriving tomorrow." The Aide said.

"Thank you." Trick replied as the Aide bowed his head slightly, turned, and left.

'Well, that great news." Kenzi said.

"Yes, it is. Let's get back to my office. There will be a lot to do." Trick replied.

The arrival of the Princess Royal was no small affair. The first time Bo had visited the Presidium she was someone seeking her destiny. Her second time would be as the Princess Royal who had found her destiny. The streets were lined rows deep with Fae looking to witness history. The Realm had not had Princess Royal in hundreds of years and was in celebration. As far and the Fae Realm were concerned they were blessed to have two living Sovereigns. The Ruling Family, Regent Saladin, the Tetrarch, the Monadori Sanctuary, the Four Pillars, the Brynai Society of Engineers, the Agency, and the entire Parliament of Fae were present to welcome Bo. Trick and Kenzi stood with the Ruling Family as they awaited Bo's arrival.

"Wow! Look at the crowds!" Kenzi said.

"Wait until the Installation Ceremony." Trick replied.

"What you are witnessing is the Realm's joy that we have a Princess Royal." Ariella said.

"May I ask something, Your Serene Highness?" Kenzi asked.

"What is your question?" Ariella countered.

"None of you are jealous over the fact that Bo is the Princess Royal instead of one of you?" Kenzi asked.

"Destiny chooses who will be the next Regnant. It is pointless endeavor to lust over something for which you have no control over. There are those who do lust for the throne thinking they can defy fate, hence the War of the Five Ranas, but Destiny always proves itself out. Nevertheless, it doesn't stop faithless usurpers from trying to alter destiny." Ariella replied.

"Has there ever been a time where the Realm has ever been without a Regnant?" Kenzi asked.

"Never. But it has been hundreds of years since the Realm has had a Princess Royal. That in it of itself is telling, of what we have no idea." Ariella replied as the trumpet call sounded off hailing the arrival of the Princess Royal as she emerged through the portal at the bottom of the stairs of the Welcoming dais accompanied by the Regnant Guard and the Seneschal. Bo took in the sight for a quick moment floored by it all. She was glad that Lauren did not arrive to all of this, and made a mental note for when Lauren arrived with the children to ensure it was a quiet affair. She looked up the stairs and saw everyone on the Welcoming Dais. Her eyes found Trick and Kenzi and she smiled and reflexively waved at them as she made her way up the stairs. They waved back to the smiles of the crowds. When Bo reached the top of the stairs she curtsied before The Regnant and The Queen Consort.

"Welcome home, Isabaeu!" The Regnant said as she acknowledged Bo's curtsey.

"Thank you, Your Majesty!" Bo replied as she quickly glanced and both Trick and Kenzi and smiled.

"Please." The Regnant said as she motioned Bo to turn around and face the crowd as she stood next to her. The Regnant proceeded to wave to the crowd and Bo followed suit. They were met with thunderous applause and cheers.

"Wow! This is amazing! I wish Lauren were here to see all of this, but she would also be kinda spooked." Bo said.

"Wait until your Installation Ceremony." The Regnant replied. Then the Regnant pointed to a series of pillars.

"See those?"

"Yes, Your Majesty." Bo replied.

"Those are projectors. Everyone across the entire Fae Realm is watching this moment. I mean everywhere. In the streets, in their homes, in the fields, everywhere. Your image is being broadcast in the skies across the Realm so everyone everywhere can witness this historic moment. That is how it is for all State occasions so no Fae are left out." The Regnant explained.

"That is a bit intimidating." Bo replied.

"But effective. As a future Sovereign it is important you are seen throughout every corner of the Realm."

"I understand." Bo replied. After they stood there waving to the seas of Fae that lined the streets The Regnant turned to both the Illia and the Seer and offered a bow. That was their cue to step forward.

The Regnant then went to one knee before them both, Bo followed suit along with the entire Welcoming Dais and the crowds who went silent as they all went to one knee. The Illia then raised her hands into the sky, and looked up as she offered a blessing.

"This day, let us rejoice in our abundant blessings as we are graced in the rule of our Sovereign, and welcome The Princess Royal, heir to the Realm, recognized before all. Let us embrace them in love and in honor, and offer our devotions that they may be united in wisdom, word and deed. Let them not be discouraged from their task. As we ourselves are strengthened in service to the Realm, let us offer devotions for their strength in service to the Realm. Through this, let us walk together, live together in devotion so that we and our lands are blessed with tranquility, prosperity, fertility, and peace. Through their sovereignty may we be blessed, may we always prosper, and may our lives last long throughout our sunrises and sunsets. Blessings!"

The Regnant and The Princess Royal rose and the Realm followed suit and then there was another round of thunderous applause. The Regnant turned to the crowd once more and Bo and the entire Welcoming dais followed suit waving at the crowds.

The Regnant then turned and faced Bo.

"My mother would have loved that blessing." Bo said

"Helen and I hope to meet her at Installation Ceremony." The Regnant replied as she motioned Bo inside the Presidium. "Shall we?"

"Please." Bo replied as she walked with The Regnant followed by The Queen Consort, the rest of the Ruling Family, and the Welcoming Dais to Bo's Reception Lunch Gala inside the Great Banquet Hall.

After the Reception Lunch Gala Bo retired to her chambers for the rest of the afternoon followed by Her Serene Highness Maxima Prescotti, Trick and Kenzi.

"Did you enjoy yourself?" Maxima asked.

"Yes I did. So many people there but not as many as the Parliamentary Banquet."

"We thought to keep the affair down to 30,000 guests this time." Maxima replied. Bo smiled.

"It is my understanding that you wanted this first evening to yourself." Maxima said.

"Yes. I knew there would be a big to-do when I arrived, and knew I would want some decompression time." Bo replied.

"I understand. Tomorrow, one of us will be here to escort you to your new offices where you will meet your new staff." Maxima said. Bo looked to Kenzi.

"Beatrice?" Bo inquired.

"Unfortunately, we cannot share staff like before so she's with me." Kenzi replied. Bo nodded.

"Do not worry, Willa and Landon are one of the best. They were part of The Regnant's staff."

"Oh, well, then I guess, yes then." Bo replied.

"Your private chambers are amazing. All of these chambers are amazing. Like private castles all their own." Kenzi replied.

"I know. These are different from the ones I was assigned the last time I was here." Bo said.

"Well, now that you are the Princess Royal with a family to boot the chambers would be different." Maxima replied.

"Still, very impressive." Kenzi replied.

"Enjoy the rest of your day and evening. And Your Royal Highness?" Maxima said.

"Yes?"

"Truly, welcome!" Maxima said as she smiled, curtsied, and when Bo acknowledged it turned and left the room.

"Class act that Maxima." Kenzi replied.

"Yes she is." Bo replied. Kenzi looked around.

"Wanna take a look around?" Kenzi asked.

"Sure." Bo replied.

After they toured Bo's private chambers with the Seneschal explaining each of the rooms and the adjoining facilities to include the location of the Beast which was parked in a storage facility on the grounds they went out into the back garden and all sat on satees.

"So how do you feel?" Trick asked.

"It still all feels so surreal like one day somebody is going to pinch me awake. Are you sure I am trapped in someone's mind feeding off me again?" Bo said. That made both Trick and Kenzi laugh.

"I am sure I can find a Baku quicker here than I could back on our plane." Kenzi replied.

'Well, I will leave you two to it. I have dinner plans with Eva tonight." Trick said as he rose from his chair, went over and kissed Bo on top of her head then did the same with Kenzi then bowed before Bo who acknowledged the curtesy and then he left.

"I am not sure I will ever get use to that." Kenzi replied.

"Me neither. One of these days have to stop all that curtseying and bowing." Bo replied.

"One decree at a time, Your Royal Highness." Kenzi replied. Bo chuckled as she glanced at Kenzi's head of her guard, Bas Dima.

"He's huge. Neck and neck with Bas Cibor that's for sure. Not nearly as big as Lauren's, but he does look pretty menacing." Bo remarked. Bas Dima was 6'8'', 290 pounds, bald head with green eyes, and while he didn't exactly match Bas Cibor in height he seemed to make it up in muscle mass.

"I think that was the point. How are the Bas's assigned anyway? Do you know?" Kenzi asked.

"From what I understand Regent Saladin and The Queen Consort are the ones who set up the Regnant Guard system. All the heads of each Guard contingent are Ranoruks whose Fae abilities are tailored similar to those whom they are guarding. In The Regnant's case her Bas needed to be able to fly." Bo replied.

"Hm. Have to check out what my Bas can do." Kenzi pondered.

"Keeping it inside, keeping it inside." Bo said.

"Ah, dude!" Kenzi teasingly chastised as she poked Bo in the side with one of her fingers.

"How are Lauren and the four amigos?" Kenzi asked.

"Good. Said good-bye to them this morning as they were doing their usual routine. We hope to utilize the comms to minimize the children not noticing I am gone until they arrive." Bo replied.

"Sounds like a plan."

"Oh and I brought some framed pictures of them for you and Trick. I gave them to the Seneschal. For some unknown reason Lauren wanted us to do formal pictures. Not sure why, but we did. I also have some pictures of them at my mother's house." Bo said.

"Did you finally explain to Mary what was happening with you?" Kenzi asked.

"Couldn't do anything else with the Regnant Guard out in full force. After she got over the shock of meeting our Bas's both in their humanoid as well as Fae forms we had to sit her down and explain everything. I left it to Lauren to do most of the talking. She's good at laying things out." Bo replied.

"Did your Mom buy it all?"

"It took a few more visits, and when we installed the comms system and demonstrated it I think that is when she turned the corner. For right now, she is most concerned about not losing contact with her grandchildren."

"Understandable."

"Yeah." Bo said as she looked around.

"Anything else going on?" Kenzi asked concerned with Bo's expression.

"Not really. All the while we were at the Reception all I could think about was Lauren and the children. Lauren was concerned about feeling alone without me and the children, and here I feel alone without her and the children."

"Well, you are not alone." Kezni said with a smile.

"You know what I mean." Bo said as she smiled back.

"I know. I was teasing. So when will Lauren be here?" Kenzi asked.

"In another couple weeks." Bo replied.

"Well, I say let's take advantage of the time and go hit the sights. I have been waiting for you to arrive so we can really get out and see this place. Any thoughts?"

"Last time I was here I was pretty much confined to the inner sanctum. You have been a few days, did you go out on the town or anything?" Bo replied.

"Yep, at a place called Oliver House. Very fancy. But apparently, they found out The Regnant likes pizza, and somehow got a hold of the recipe and now make it gourmet style. I swear it is best you have ever tasted in your life." Kenzi said.

"Hm. Sounds like a place to check out."

"Thinking Happy Hour?" Kenzi queried.

"While I still can."

"Great. I will leave you to relax and then I will swing by and grab you and we can transport together."

"Speaking of transport." Bo said as she looked in the direction of 'the Beast' and smiled. "We should take it out on its inaugural run."

"Not that I object, but are you sure? Your car is considered an antique form of transportation here."

"It would be fun."

"Sounds like a plan." Kenzi said as she stood up and curtsied. Bo nodded her head as she smiled and Kenzi left.

A few hours later Kenzi met Bo out at her new garage. Both the Seneschal and the Regnant Guard stood off to the side looking somewhat scandalized as Bo and Kenzi hopped into the car and let the top down.

"Your Royal Highness, are you sure you do not want to travel by…normal means?" Bas Kadine asked.

"Oh no. Gotta take him out for a spin on this new plane." Bo replied as she started up the Beast and it split out fumes and smoke causing both the Regnant Guard and Seneschal to take a few steps back. "Meet you there." As the garage door opened and she shot out.

And Bo drove through the streets she had Fae stopping dead in their tracks along the way gawking at the yellow Camaro driving past through the streets. Kenzi smiled the whole way.

"Glad there aren't any cops around or we may get arrested, either for speeding or committing an environmental hazard violation." Kenzi said. Bo laughed as they sped through the streets.

"This City is so beautiful, even in daylight." Bo remarked.

"Yeah it is. Oooh, turn here." Kenzi said as Bo made a right turn.

"Which place is it?" Bo said as she looked about.

"That one." Kenzi replied as she pointed in the direction of a building and as they approached closer they could see Bas Kadine and the Seneschal standing there waiting. They parked the Beast out front, jumped out, and approached Bas Kadine and the Seneschal.

"Well, one thing you do not have to worry about is about parking your car. None here on this plane." Kenzi said as passerbys stopped, offered their courtesies, and when acknowledged continued to point and gawk.

"Man, is a car really that novel here?" Bo asked.

"Yes, Your Royal Highness." Bas Kadine replied as the Seneschal held the door to Oliver House open for them to enter. As they both entered the restaurant all the activity came to a halt as everyone stood and offered their courtesies.

"Thank you. Blessings to you all. Please, resume your evening." Bo said as she acknowledged the courtesies.

Bo scanned the restaurant. The entrance to Oliver House actually overlooked the several dining areas had a conservative, muted look with dark woods everywhere, and soft lighting.

"Kenzi, this is a really fancy place. They make pizza here?" Bo said.

"Yep." Kenzi pointed over to a sectioned off area. "There's the bar, bar." Bo moved in that direction followed by Kenzi, Bas Kadine and Regnant Guard. The bar was in its own section and had dining tables, but the bar itself was built with dark woods, and very stately. The both bellied up to the bar as Bas Kadine and the Seneschal took up watchful positions. Kostas, the bartender on duty came up to them.

"Your Royal Highness, we are honored by your first of what we may hope to be many visits."

"Thank you, Mister?" Bo asked.

"Kostas, Your Royal Highness. Just Kostas." Then Kostas turned to Kenzi.

"Milady, welcome back." Kostas said.

"Thank you, Kostas." Kenzi replied.

"What would you like?" Kostas asked.

"Two Edetian brandies." Kenzi said as she slapped the top of the bar.

"Coming right up." Kostas said as he walked off.

"Is that wise, drinking Edetian brandy seeing as it's so addictive?" Bo asked.

"I'm already a lost soul." Kenzi replied. Bo took a look around again as Fae tried to keep to their conversations while trying not to look as if they were watching Bo and Kenzi.

"According to Maxima, Oliver House is the top place in the City of Nahala. Both the Ruling Family and dignitaries frequent here often. Wonder if we should open up something here." Kenzi said as Kostas returned with two glasses of Edetian brandy.

"Oh, Kenzi always thinking about the angle." Bo replied.

"Well, some has to in this over-glorified gin joint known as the Presidium." Kenzi said.

"Milady, I have a new joke for you." Kostas said when he finished pouring their drinks.

"Oh, I forgot to warn you, Kostas tells jokes." Kenzi said.

"So what's the joke?" Bo said as she smiled.

"What do you give a sick bird?" Kostas asked. Bo and Kenzi looked at him.

"Tweetment." Kostas grinned. Bo and Kenzi shook their heads.

"Oh my God." Bo said as she looked at Kostas surprised.

"I forgot to add he tells bad jokes." Kenzi said. Kostas laughed hard.

"Is there anything you would like to eat?" Kostas said.

"We would like to order the same pizza I had the last time." Kenzi said.

"Very well. The Works with no green peppers." Kostas said and walked off. Bo and Kenzi picked up their glasses, and clinked then together.

"To us." Kenzi offered.

"To us." Bo repeated. Then a beautiful tall blonde walked up.

"Your Royal Highness." Greeted the woman. Bo stood up from her bar chair followed by Kenzi and acknowledged the curtsey.

"Theodosia, am I right?"

"Yes, Your Royal Highness. Quite the memory." Theodosia replied.

"Theodosia?" Kenzi repeated.

"Yes?" Theodosia queried.

"I have heard your name before that is all. You are as others have described. Very beautiful." Kenzi replied.

"Thank you. You must be Ms. Mackenzie Malikov." Theodosia said.

"Yes I am."

"I didn't get an opportunity to introduce myself at the reception. I am Grand Ducal Serene Highness Theodosia de Morvois, I represent the Vrabereaux Delegation within the city of Mueriers." Theodosia said as she extended her hand.

"Nice to meet you." Kenzi replied as they shook hands.

"I see you already have her Royal Highness out and about already, and at the finest establishment in Nahala no less." Theodosia said.

"Only the best." Kenzi replied.

"Have you settled in, Your Royal Highness?" Theodosia asked.

'Pretty much." Bo replied.

"Is that your yellow…what do they call it again?" Theodosia asked.

"A car." Bo replied.

"Yes, a car." Theodosia said.

"Yep, that is ours. We call it 'the Beast'." Kenzi said proudly.

"Aptly named." Theodosia replied. Bo and Kenzi smiled.

"So I understand that Antony is away in Nassoria?" Theodosia inquired.

"That is what he told me." Kenzi replied.

"Well, if you hear from him, please send my love." Theodosia said. Bo gave Kenzi a quick glance.

"I will." Bo replied. Just then Trick and Taoiseach Eva Sandalli walked up.

"Your Excellencies." Theodosia greeted.

"Trick, Eva!" Bo said. Trick and Eva offered their courtesies and Bo acknowledged them with a quick head nod.

"What are you two doing here?" Bo asked reflexively.

"Dinner." Trick replied in a tone matching Bo's obvious question.

"Oh yes, of course." Bo said.

"I see you took 'the Beast' out for a spin." Trick said as he thumbed in the direction of the door.

"Yeah, cool huh?" Bo said.

"Well, don't be surprised if you get a visit from Her Serene Highness Maxima Prescotti." Eva replied.

"Is it really that bad?" Bo asked. Eva seesawed her head.

"Well, if you will excuse me I should get back to my guests. I just wanted to say hello." Theodosia said as she curtsied to wit Bo acknowledged with a bow, and then righted herself, gave one final glance at Kezni and then left.

"Wow! She is quite beautiful." Kenzi said as she watched Theodosia walk away.

"Yes she is, and quite clever, and quite dangerous." Eva replied.

"And that kind of woman attracts Antony, huh?" Kenzi commented. Bo, Trick and Eva looked glanced at one another.

"Why don't we get back to our drinks? Trick, you and Eva care to join us?" Bo invited.

"We planned to have a one-on-one tonight." Trick said. Bo and Kenzi smiled.

"I understand. Enjoy your evening." Bo replied. As Trick and Eva offered their courtesies, Bo acknowledged them and then they left for their table.

As Bo and Kenzi turned back to sit at the bar Kostas met them with their hot, piping pizza.

"Dinner is served!" Kostas said proudly.

"That looks amazing, Kostas!" Bo said.

"And tastes as much." Kenzi replied as she and Bo dove in.

Trick had reserved a table in a quiet side room. Trick and Eva never really had an opportunity to talk, really talk since his return. His schedule had been a whirlwind since he had returned heading practically straight to the City of Quinnmoor for his Installation Ceremony, followed by a tour of his delegational principalities, and then a return to the Presidium to set up his offices. He was soon joined by Kenzi and then Bo's arrival soon thereafter. They would also need to prepare for the arrival of Lauren and the children. Lauren's status as Bo's partner and mother of her children still required a formal reception. Until then, Trick decided to take advantage of the intervening period to speak with Eva.

After they were served their drinks and ordered their food, Trick turned his attention to Eva.

"So how did the Parliamentary Council meeting go today?" Trick asked.

"Same as always when preparing for the Decannial Convocation of the Presidium. Her Royal Highness arrived at a time where she gets to observe all aspects of Presidium meeting under one, large umbrella." Eva replied.

"A meeting of all arms of government to craft the Directions Framework for the Realm, drafting, synchronizing and implementing one coordinated legislative agenda for the next ten years. Yes, she did. The human plane will benefit from the approach when we transition them to the Presidium. Their various political systems, by and large, are degenerative to be nice about it."

"That bad?" Eva asked.

"In some regions, non-existent. There are small tribes who have more evolved, self-governing principles than the larger governments. Some are just outright corrupt no matter what one does. Greed is everything to the starvation of their people." Trick replied.

"You mean as in money?" Eva asked slightly incredulous.

"Yes."

"The humans sound like they would benefit from quite a number of aspects of Presidium rule." Eva replied.

"Yes they would. The key though will be implementation. That will be tricky to say the least. We may have factions that will readily accept Presidium, that is once they get past the shock of the existence of the Fae, but there will be others who may react violently. Some of those extreme elements we have already encountered to the point they have even tried to harvest our DNA in efforts to make themselves Fae." Trick said.

"Oh dear."

"Yes, we will have that element to deal with as well." Trick advised as they both took sips of their drinks.

"So how are you faring with Marik Veillard as your deputy?" Eva asked.

"From what I have experienced thus far, fine. He was Cleve's deputy the entire time he was Rana. I only benefit from his experience in managing the Ducals. I am not gonna lie there may be some hiccups in understanding my intent. Dyson had been my number two for several hundred years. I am use to that dynamic."

"Understandable."

"I am surprised the Ducals didn't select him as the next Rana given his experience." Trick commented.

"Marik is a good number two, but that is what he is, a good number two. I think he did his job all too well as deputy for the Ducals to consider him leadership material. I think they would have had an outright delegational assembly had you not returned when you did. Once you did the Ducals were practically panting at Regent Saladin's door." Eva replied.

"I see Regent Saladin still runs the place like a precise timepiece." Trick said.

"Yes he does. I work with him routinely and I do not know how he does it. The Realm is fortunate for his service." Eva replied as two waiters entered the room and served them with their first course, bowed their heads slightly and then left the room.

"So Eva my intent for this dinner is for us to finally and truly talk." Trick said.

"Well, you filled me in on your family, your deceased wife Ysabeau, and your daughter Aoife, and now your grand-daughter will be the next Regnant. I am still baffled at how you could have surmised that she is to be the next Regnant." Eva said as she ate.

"We had a great deal of help with a lot of signs and portents. I just never had the time to sit down and piece it all together."

"You were a bartender at some point?" Eva asked with a surprise in her voice. "I could have never envisioned you as a bartender."

"That was the point. After the Great Fae War and the Fae Rebellion I had to fade away into obscurity. Being a bartender provided such obscurity."

"One day you shall have to tell me of your experiences on the human plane. All of them."

"I was hoping this dinner would be the start of such conversations. Eva, I would like for us to see eachother. I have not had the opportunity to ask you, at least, uninterrupted or pressed by time."

"When you left Fitzpatrick you left under very divisive circumstances. I didn't hate you for what you did, but I am surprised Ari allowed you back."

"That is because Ari has been keeping watch over us the last few hundred years."

"What?"

"She informed us during our initial audience that she and Regent Saladin have been keeping watch over our plane for the last several hundred years because they have received communications and even visits from our plane seeking the Presidium's intervention. But Ari refused because she had made a promise not to interfere. It was only when I asked for an audience that Ari knew not all was well. Even if Bo turned out not to be the Princess Royal I believe Ari would have still intervened if I had asked under my authority as deputy Rana of the Ohdrain Dynasty."

"What would you have done if Cleve were still alive to greet you?" Eva replied.

"I would have begged his forgiveness for disappointing him." Trick replied.

"His heart was broken when you left." Eva said.

"I know." Trick replied.

"And so was mine." Eva said.

"I know, and I want to make up for it. I am asking you for a second chance. To give me a second chance to prove myself…my love to you." Trick replied.

'You know, I waited a long time after you left hoping you would come to your senses and return, but you didn't so I went on to form my own family." Eva said.

"I am glad you found happiness with Edel. He was a great warrior and statesman, and your three children must make you proud."

"Yes, Mica, Jurgens and Canidius do us proud with their work with the Parliamentary Council and the Communities of Health and Prosperity. I wish Edel were here to see all what they have accomplished." Eva said.

"I am sure."

"And now the only reason why you returned now was to secure your grand-daughter's future. What guarantee do I have you will not run away again?" Eva asked.

"Because I committed to becoming the next Rana regardless whether Bo proved out to be the next Regnant. After the Parliamentary Banquet I met later that night with the Tetrarch and informed them of my decision to remain." Trick informed.

"But what if Bo had not proved out to be the next Regnant?" Eva asked.

"I knew she would be, and I suspect so did Ari." Trick replied.

"How?"

"Bearnard was right; Ari wouldn't have accepted an audience from me unless she had some suspicion of the same." Trick replied.

"You may have changed in some, but not in others. You took a gamble. A big one." Eva said and the wait staff come and cleared their first course plates, and served them their main course dishes. After they left Trick rose from his chair opposite from Eva pulled it around so he was sitting right next to her.

"Eva, we could sit around here and debate the whys and the why nots or we can take the plunge, and give us a second chance. Will you allow me that second chance?" Trick asked. Eva smiled.

"I could never refuse such a handsome face. Ever." Eva replied as she placed one hand gently on Trick's face and leaned in and kissed him.

The next morning Bo had breakfast with Kenzi in her private chambers. They tried to get a hold of Trick to see if he could join them but were informed by the Seneschal that he was indisposed. After breakfast, Her Serene Highness Maxima Prescotti arrived to escort Bo to her new offices. Kenzi had to go meet Agents Greystone and Korvo at the AIC, and said she would check in with Bo later.

As Bo and Maxima arrived at Bo's new offices Bo was surprised at the size of them , but then she quickly shook her surprise off, realizing she should expect everything to be big at the Presidium. They entered a wing of the Presidium and Bo saw her offices were three stories and already had Fae bustling about.

"These Fae are not all here to see me are they? I am just starting my first day." Bo said a bit overwhelmed.

"Some are here to see you. The rest are either staff or passerbys." Maxima replied.

They made their way up to the second floor and as they went Fae offered their courtesies, and Bo acknowledged them all the while. When they arrived at her inner suite of offices they were greeted by two staff who offered their courtesies, and bo acknowledged them with a bow of her head.

"Your Royal Highness, this is Willa and this is Landon. They are your principal staff, assigned from The Regnant's staff. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of your office. They are exceptionally experienced at handling the complexities of a Sovereign's office."

"I see. Nice to meet you both." Bo said.

"Thank you, Your Royal Highness." Willa and Landon said in near unison.

"Allow us to show you inside." Willa said she motioned Bo inside her main office.

When Bo entered her offices she was taken aback by the size of it that rivaled the size of Regent Saladin's inner office. It was beautifully decorated in a mixture of warm colors designed to be relaxing. She also had quite a few plantings that decorated the offices. She could see from the windows her offices jutted out as she had balconies on three sides. She also had exit doors both to the left and right of her. Several various-sized conference room tables, and according to Willa she had an attached private dining room and a sleep study.

When she went up to her desk she saw she had two side tables, one of them was the mantle that she and Kenzi had first purchased for the Clubhouse nearly fifteen years ago. The mantle was covered with pictures capturing moments from a party Bo and Lauren threw at their home six months after the quadruplets were born, which included shots of Mary Dennis and the Godparents, one of them with Ryan Lambert being puked upon by his namesake and Char as he tried to hold them both at the same time. Then there was one picture of Bo, Lauren, Trick, Kenzi, Tamsin, Dyson, Vex, Bruce and Evony at the Dal engaged in conversation. Bo remembered it was during a case they were investigating. Beatrice had captured the moment and shared it with Kenzi. Then there was one photo of the Clubhouse with the Beast parked out in front of it. The sight of the arrangement of pictures brought tears to Bo eyes.

"Your Royal Highness, are you okay? Ms. Malikov said you would be pleased with the set up?"

"Yes I am. Very pleased. It is piece of home right here next to me. It was extremely thoughtful of her. And sneaky." Bo replied.

"I take it Ms. Malikov would fit in well with the Agency?" Landon queried.

"Oh yes, and then some." Bo replied as she pondered the arrangement a moment longer then turned to her desk, and saw there were two pictures on the desk. One was a shot of Lauren with their four children in their backyard. It was a casual moment but it was one of Bo's favorite pictures of Lauren and the children. The other photo was just of her and Kenzi when they assumed proprietorship over the Dal Riata. Now tears actually ran down her face which Bo wiped quickly.

"Kenzi is a sneaky one for sure." Maxima commented. Bo smiled.

"Kenzi didn't lay any more emotional land mines around for me did she? Bo asked.

"I believe this is it, Your Royal Highness." Willa said.

"Good. I will kiss her and then kill her later." Bo said as she smiled. "So what's next?"

"Well, we need to sit down with you and discuss how you would like your day organized." Landon replied.

"Well, then," Bo said as she motioned towards one of the smaller conference room tables, "Let us begin."

Ari and Helen were in their private apartments reviewing their respective agendas for the day with their principal staffs and Regent Saladin.

"Last evening, Her Royal Highness and Ms. Malikov dined at Palisades. It seems they arrived in their…automobile called 'the Beast.' There have been complaints they have been traveling around the City of Nahala in this…automobile is not environmentally conditioned for our plane. It runs on a noxious form of petroleum which spews smoke into the air whenever they drive it. It is causing quite the environmental concern in Nahala." Henry reported. Ari chuckled.

"I am sure Maxima will attend to that." Aril replied.

"Seems Her Royal Highness and Ms. Malikov have frequented a number of establishments over the past two weeks in the celebration of 'Happy Hour.' Is this a special human holiday we need to be aware of?" Henry asked. Ari chuckled again.

"No, it something humans term the period at the end of the day where they can drink and relax." Regent Saladin replied.

"Seems like they are taking advantage of the time before Dr. Lewis and the children arrive." Gabriella commented.

"That would make sense." Henry replied.

"Well, it is obvious they miss their old habits. Maybe we should just transport that Dal Riata here." Ari said to Helen.

"That would be a thoughtful gesture, but I think it is more than just a bar for them. Plus, I think it is good for them to get away to something familiar until life at the Presidium becomes more natural for them." Helen replied.

"One would think they would prefer the Presidium over their old life." Ari said.

"They probably do already in certain aspects and they will come to love the Presidium over time, but things may become a bit overwhelming here and it may be for them to return to something familiar, to reset." Helen replied.

"Maybe, I should create a replica of it here." Ari said.

"Missing my point, dear." Helen replied. Ari laughed.

"No, I understand. Maybe we should consider bringing their Clubhouse instead since we have her automobile here already." Ari said.

"I think Lauren would have something to say about that. Besides, if you brought it here I think Bo and Kenzi will want to live in it." Helen replied.

"On second thought." Ari said.

"Good thinking, honey." Helen replied.
