Disclaimer: I do not own either Bluey or Mulan, only how the story goes. Bluey belongs to Ludo Studio and Mulan belongs to Disney. The only thing that I do own are the OC's of the story. I do apologize for any errors in grammar and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.

A/N: We're getting closer to the end of this amazing story. I do like writing it. And I'll start it greatly different than that of the movie.

TheWriterForGod42: And with me tonight are a few familiar faces. I wanted their insight about this chapter.

Yao, Stripe, Ling and Pat all walk into the room.

Yao: Glad to be here again, my friend.

TheWriterForGod42: Nice to have you guys again.

Pat raised his arms as he excitedly said: I can't wait for my singing parts.

Ling wrapped an arm around the Golden Retriever and said: Just make sure that you make it look good.

Stripe with a sly grin: Oh, he'll look good. When he falls in the mud.

Yao started laughing and patted the Blue Heeler on the back: That was one of the funniest parts of this whole thing.

All five: Enjoy everyone!

Chapter Ten: A She-Dog Worth Fighting For

It was still night time when Bandit had given Ar Fe the order to alert the troops. Mushu and Cri-Kee came charging into the tent with the former having an excited look on his face. Chili happened to look to him and asked, "What's got you in such a good mood, Mushu?"

"Well, let's just say that the army's going to be moving out pretty soon." Mushu said with a smug grin. Chili was about to ask when she heard Pat's voice from outside the tent, "Hey, Jackie! We got orders to pack our stuff in the morning. We're heading out!"

"Uh, ok." Chili said in her manly voice. The Golden Retriever seemed to buy it when she saw his silhouette outside of the tent. He nodded, "Okay, we're leaving at sunrise."

"Got it." Chili nodded and her friend left. When she was sure that he was gone, Chili took a breath of relief. Mushu then clapped his hands and said, "Okay, ya better get some sleep cause we have a long way to go tomorrow."

"Mm." Chili nodded to the dragon before laying down. But as her eyelids started to close, she couldn't help but think of what the coming days had in store for her.

The next morning just before the sun rose over the horizon, the entire camp was bustling with activity. Chili herself was rolling up her tent and was getting herself ready. She had just finished up her disguise when she heard footsteps behind her. She looked back to see her Captain standing there. Bandit cleared his throat before saying, "Jackie, since there are only two horses, yours and mine, could I please trouble you to borrow your steed to help pull the cart with the cannons?"

"Uh, sure." Chili nodded as it was okay with her. Bandit nodded his thanks before composing himself, "Thank you, soldier. Report with the troops in order to get him hooked up. We have a lot of ground to cover and not a whole lot of time."

"Sir, yes, sir." Chili saluted to her commanding officer. With a more curt nod this time, Bandit turned and walked off to perform his other duties.

Chili watched him go when a small smile appeared on her face. She was brought back to reality when Mushu snapped his claws, "Hey, hey! No time for day dreaming, girl! We got to get a move on."

"Oh, right." Chili said as she finished the rest of her packing. When she was done, Chili took King's reins with one free paw while holding her stuff under her other arm. She led them to the main part of the camp and walked up to the cart. She quickly hooked King up to it. When she was sure that he was nice and secure, Chili and the other troops looked to their Captain.

Bandit looked to each of them and said, "We go now to defend our families, our country and our Emperor.

"For China!" Bandit shouted and lifted his sword high. The dogs and Chili raised their fists high and shouted, "For China!"

"Now, let's move out." Bandit said and waved his paw for them to follow. The soldiers all left single file out of the camp and into the wilderness.

The reinforcements had been walking for a few hours and were starting to get really tired. But an upbeat melody filled the air as the soldiers kept walking. Just about everyone was feeling a little tired as they started to sing…

Dogs: For a long time we've been marching off to battle

From his spot in line, Stripe grumbled as he sang while rolling his eyes…

Stripe: In our thundering herd we feel a lot like cattle

Nearby, some cows had lifted their heads when they heard that. They gave an offended moo as they passed by. Some of the soldiers were trudging along either with only two feet or using their swords as walking sticks. The soldier dogs climbed up a hill as they complained through song…

Dogs: Like a pounding beat

Our aching feet

Aren't easy to ignore

Pat quickly ran through the soldiers and caught up with Stripe and Rad. He wrapped an arm around them. While they looked to Pat with questioning glances, he helped them think of something else when he sang…

Pat: Hey! Think of instead

A girl worth fighting for

That seemed to put a smile on the two's faces as they thought about it. But it confused Chili when she looked to them with a, "Huh?"

"That's what I said." Pat said and moved to wrap an arm around Chili. He reached into his armor as he sang again…

Pat: A girl worth fighting for

He pulled out a scroll and unrolled it to reveal a golden she-dog in a beautiful red dress holding a fan over her muzzle. Chili quickly moved away when she saw what they were singing about. Pat began to fantasize of what his dream girl was like. Almost as if the words next to the picture of the she-dog became a drawing of himself he sang…

Pat: I want her fur paler than the moon

With eyes that shine like stars

The she-dog in the picture moved her fan to where it covered their faces and only through the light going through the fan could one see the fantasy of them sharing a kiss. Stripe took over with his fantasies. The drawing became of Stripe lifting a white she-dog in a blue dress on a piece of wood with one arm as it sang…

Stripe: My girl will marvel at my strength

Adore my battle scars

The picture of Stripe used his free arm to open his shirt to reveal a large hole in his middle. The picture of the she-dog looked amazed by the fictional battle scar. They were both surprised when the picture of Rad dropped down and started singing…

Rad: I couldn't care less what she'll wear

Or what she looks like

The picture started dancing with a red she-dog in a yellow dress before sitting down at a giant bowl of rice. A cow, a pig and a chicken dropped down when Rad sang…

Rad: It all depends on what she cooks like

Beef

Pork

Chicken

"Mm." All the dogs agreed as they passed a collection of large statues that had a dog, a she-dog and the three forementioned animals with them.

The soldiers were now marching through a river with their swords held high over their heads. Stripe walked up to Chili and lightly nudged her when he guessed as he sang…

Stripe: Bet the local girls thought you were quite the charmer

Chili just scoffed as she walked a little faster while Stripe lost his footing. The Blue Heeler ended up falling into the river and a few scared fish jumped up from the water. Rad managed to catch one with a smile on his muzzle.

When Pat walked out of the river, it almost looked as if he had gotten really buff from the look of his armor. He knew that some of the ladies loved a dog with muscle when he pulled a few poses and sang…

Pat: And I'll bet the ladies love a man in armor

But when the Golden Retriever flexed his muscles, water poured out from his armor. Pat gave a laugh as he moved to catch up with the others. The soldiers started to pass a field of rice where a few she-dogs of different breeds wearing straw hats were picking through the fields. The other dogs seemed to perk up from the thought of finding the right she-dog for them as they sang…

Dogs: You can guess what we have missed the most

Since we went off to war

From his spot in the wagon, Mushu thought that the she-dogs were really pretty. He gave a wolf whistle and it made Cri-Kee look to the dragon. Even Chili glanced back to the cart before noticing the looks from the women picking in the fields. She became embarrassed as they laughed while Pat sang the question…

Pat: What do we want?

Dogs: A girl worth fighting for

A happy Stripe walked up to Chili and was hoping when he sang…

Stripe: My girl will think I have no faults

This made Chili roll her eyes. But she didn't look where she was going and bumped into Rad. The Blue Heeler was also hoping when he sang…

Rad: That I'm a major find

The two and Pat crowded around Chili. From the looks on their faces, she could tell that they wanted to hear what her hopes were. In her deep voice she sang…

Chili: How 'bout a girl who's got a brain

Who always speak her mind?

The three thought about it for a moment. But then they gave her skeptical looks as they all waved off, "Nah!

Chili was very surprised and a little offended by this. But she didn't get to voice her frustrations when Pat once again wrapped a paw around her and pulled her close. He was confident in himself when he sang…

Pat: My manly ways and turn of phrase

Are sure to thrill her

Chili was able to escape from his hold and backed up with an eye roll. But she was surprised when Stripe grabbed her uniform and pulled her close when he quietly sang…

Stripe: He thinks he's such a lady killer

Pat was leaning against the cart's wheel fixing his looks while Stripe laughed and slapped King's rear. The horse neighed before running ahead. The motion caused Pat to fall over into a mud puddle. While Chili was a little surprised at first, she and Stripe shared a small laugh.

Up ahead of the group on his own horse, Ar Fe had a smile on his face as he pulled his hood over his ears. He spoke of a she-dog that loves him very much…'

Ar Fe: I've got a girl back home

Who's unlike any other

He looked back with a bit of a smug look. From their spot in line, Stripe rolled his eyes before leaning to Chili. He loudly commented in song…

Stripe: Yeah, the only girl

Who'd love him is his mother

That caused Chili to start laughing and look to Ar Fe. The Bulldog had happened to hear what the Blue Heeler had said, or sang, and looked back with a glare. The troops continued walking through the snow of the mountains as they all sang with hope in their hearts…

Dogs: But when we come home in victory

They'll line up at the door

Stripe had broken away from the group for a quick moment and built a snow dog. Or three as they were all in the shape of a she-dog. Each she dog was striking a different pose. He looked back and noticed that he was nearly about to be left behind. He turned and ran after them. Pat hopped up onto Rad's shoulders and they moved through some trees. As the snow fell around them as Pat pushed through the branches he sang the question again…

Pat: What do we want?

Chili tried to run when a few dogs joined up with her. But she was unable to escape as they slung an arm around the others and her shoulders as they continued on. The bunch of happy dogs answered in song…

Dogs: A girl worth fighting for

Pat hopped off of Rad's shoulders as he had stars in his eyes and truly wished…

Pat: Wish that I had

The soldier dogs were all walking along as they answered…

Dogs: A girl worth fighting for

Chili managed to escape from the hold and backed away from the singing dogs with a whistle. But when she turned around she found her three friends who all had a mischievous smirk on their faces. They brought their paws around to show large snowballs. Chili turned and tried to get away from them as they prepared to throw while the dog soldiers ended the song…

Dogs: A girl worth fighting…

But everything stopped when they all saw the same sight in front of them. The village of the Tung Shao Pass had been completely destroyed.

Yao, Ling, Pat and Stripe all walk back into the room.

Pat, shaking his head: Man, the next few chapters are going to be brutal.

Ling: Yeah, tell me about it. What I saw, even if it was part of the movie, that was still pretty dark.

Yao: At least they were avenged and all.

Stripe: And I did hear that the next chapter is going to be vastly different.

Yao, Ling and Pat: How?

TheWriterForGod42: You'll just have to wait and see.

Author's Note: Like it was said in the little bit above, it is going to be vastly different. I won't spoil anything for you, you'll just have to wait and see. But on a more positive note, we are getting closer to the end of this story. Just a few more chapters and the Ending Titles and we'll be finished. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
