Regent Saladin Azanin greeted the morning with his daily routine of Pi-Man-Ya, the series of stretching exercises he taught the Ruling Family years ago. Usually, he and The Queen Consort took turns along with the trainers in sparring with The Regnant, but today, he sparred with one of the Knights of the Guard. Saladin respected and cultivated his reputation as the finest swordsman in all of the Presidium, and those who sparred with him considered it both an honor and a terror. He was proud of that accolade. It only served to strengthen the Realm. Ari was his dearest friend after all. They met when they were young, joined the Knights of the Guard together, served side by side in combat together, watched one another fall in love, and together forged a Realm out of the ashes of war. They would die for one another, and Saladin considered it the finest honor to serve as the Realm's Chief Protector. He knew this particular morning, The Regnant decided to spar with Bo herself so she could assess Bo's abilities.

After his sparring session with the Knights of the Guard Saladin stopped by to observe the sparring session between The Queen and Bo. As he approached Elena who stood off to the side observed Saladin smiled at the sight before them. Bo was on her backside, panting heavily with a shield in one hand and small sword in the other. The Regnant, however, had only a shield in one hand.

"How is our Princess Royal faring?" Saladin asked.

"Not at all well. She has been on her backside more than on her feet." Elena replied.

"Come along, Bo! Back on your feet!" Ari yelled. Bo did as she was told.

"Set yourself and come at me again!" Bo reset her combat stance as she was taught by Elena and then rushed for The Regnant as their shields met. The Regnant held Bo's lunge as Bo swung her sword. The Regnant pushed backed against Bo's shield, twirled, deflecting the blow, then quickly reared back with her shield and hit Bo square, shield to shield, knocking Bo on her backside again. The Regnant straightened her body and looked up at Elena.

"What have you been teaching her?" Ari called out to her daughter.

"Apparently, how to land well on her backside, Mummy!" Elena replied.

"Clearly!" Ari replied as Bo got up again in frustration and set herself again.

"You're coming at me out of anger, frustration! Come at me smartly! Combat is not simply about brawn, it is about brains! Think smartly!" The Regnant said. Bo seemed to hear her for when she lunged at her again The Regnant braced but then Bo decided to dodge left, then turned quickly right and jumped with her sword in the air and thrusted forward. The Regnant whirled just in time to deflect the nape of Bo's sword then twirled again and struck Bo in the back with her shield, sending Bo to the ground once again.

"That is the closest you have gotten to me all morning." The Regnant said as went over to Bo and extended her hand. Bo took it and was helped off the ground.

"We have a lot of work yet, but then one thing you have to remember that fighting isn't about force, it's about finesse. It's about assessing your opponent's weaknesses during the entire engagement. You must always keep your head, or you will lose it in the bloodlust of desiring to kill." Ari counseled.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Bo replied.

"On the training field, I am Ari." The Regnant reminded.

"Yes, Your Majesty…I mean…Ari." Bo replied. By this time the Seneschal came and took away their weapons and gear.

"Now I need to teach you something else. This way." Ari said as she motioned Bo over to a nearby patch of grass. When they reached it Ari sat down and crossed her legs and motioned for Bo to sit opposite her.

"So what are we doing here?" Bo asked.

"How much do you know of the different Succubi and Incubi and their various abilities?" Ari asked.

"Not very much really, expect the odd encounter. My Fae mother, Aoife was the first one to tell me there were different types of Succubi and Incubi." Bo replied.

"Then you know each possess different skill sets?"

"Yes, but Aoife told me some Succubi and Incubi skills are learned."

"Very true. Most of our kind have shared skills common to our species of Fae, but there are also skills unique to our species of Fae, that can be taught if our species of Fae are compatible well enough. Today, I am going to teach you a skill to help you fully realize yourself as the powerful Succubus you are." Ari said.

"I think I have some insight into that already, Ari." Bo replied.

"I think you have no idea." Ari countered.

"I beg your pardon?"

"How are your feeds satisfied?" Ari asked.

"Through sex, mainly."

"What are the other ways?"

"Well, I can feed quickly, absorbing chi through the mouth, from several people at once even, but that's in a pinch."

"And what other ways?"

"Those are the only two ways I have ever known."

"Hmp. I must say I am a bit surprised that Fitzpatrick has not taught you more." Ari said.

"We've been quite busy." Bo quipped. Ari smiled.

"I'm sure if you've ever see Fitzpatrick exercise his full capabilities you would understand."

"I know how powerful my Grandfather's blood is." Bo replied.

"But do you know how powerful he is. Have you ever seen the full power of a Blood Sage?" Ari asked.

"I'm not sure what you mean? If you mean how he can influence or change events then…" Bo said and then trailed off as she saw the side look Ari gave Saladin.

"It is clear you have seen nothing yet of your Grandfather other than his ability to play in his own blood." Ari replied.

"I wouldn't consider his ability to alter events with his own blood playful." Bo replied.

"If you understood what Fitzpatrick is fully capable of you would."

"I shall have to ask him then." Bo replied.

"Me being a Ranoruk, I can satisfy my need to feed through many facets to include my hunts. Because of which my desire to feed is less than yours, but a lot of it is also self-discipline." Ari said.

"I'm quite familiar with the self-discipline part. Remember, I spent ten years on a murderous feeding spree, not knowing or understanding who or what I really was? It wasn't until the Fae discovered me that I have since then have learned to control my hunger." Bo replied.

"You mean temper your starvation." Ari said.

"I'm not sure I follow you?"

"Has there ever been a point you have ever fed without restraint? I realize it's not possible with Lauren, but have you ever?" Ari asked.

"I would call the deaths I incurred during my murderous spree feeding without restraint." Bo replied

"Not out of necessity. I mean, wantonly?"

"Never."

"Not even with other Fae?"

"I've come close a few times with both Dyson and Ryan. Even then had to stop myself out of fear of killing them." Bo replied.

"Well, you won't kill me."

"I beg your pardon?"

"You will draw chi from me and you will do so through your hands. You will need your strength for the next several weeks as we teach to you to be comfortable in your Fae skin and you learn to realize your full potential. After all, you will succeed me to the Throne."

"I've never drawn chi from my hands in order to feed." Bo replied.

"Oh, but you've had the ability all the time." Ari said.

"How so?" Bo asked.

"Through your ability to influence others through touch. That same vehicle can be used to absorb chi."

"I had no idea."

"I am sure living the clandestine life on the Human plane has stymied your development."

"Makes sense."

"And you will absorb my chi wantonly."

"I don't think that would be wise, Ari."

"Do you doubt my ability to control you?" Ari asked. Bo smiled.

"I've never done that with any Fae." Bo replied.

"I'm a Ranoruk. I have a bit of advantage."

"Just a tad." Bo replied as she smiled.

"Good then let us get started. Let us see your lovely self then." Ari directed. Bo smiled and shifted her eyes.

The Regnant then closed her eyes and suddenly her entire body was engulfed in an illuminated blue flame. When she open her eyes her entire orb of her eyes were ghostly blue and simmered like a flame. Bo reared back a bit and then seemed to relax and then smiled.

"Now place your hand on my chest and attempt to influence me." Ari said. Bo did as she was told as she reached through the illumination, placed her hand on Ari's chest and called forth her power to influence. After a few moments Bo suddenly lurched forward as if she was being suctioned.

"Can you feel me?" Ari asked.

"Yes. It feels like you are drawing my power into you." Bo replied.

"Relax in the feeling." Ari said. Bo did exactly that. Then Ari inhaled and Bo lurched forward again, eyes widened. Instinctively, Bo tried to detach herself but couldn't and struggled as she realized her chi was being drained from her. Bo visibly started to panic as she tried to wrestle her grip away to no avail. Bo started to falter, and her body started to slink.

"Now, absorb my chi, Bo." Ari said. Out of desperation, Bo opened her mouth but her attempted was rejected by the illumination that engulfed The Regnant.

"Try again. This time use your hand." Ari said. Bo struggled to focus as she continued to slump.

"Fight through your desperation and focus!" Ari urged on but Bo slumped some more.

"Come along, Bo!" Ari urged again.

Bo closed her eyes for a moment and then inhaled. After a few more moments Bo bobbled like she was hit a by a sudden drunkenness. She opened her eyes and realized she was indeed absorbing The Regnant's chi through her hand. She smiled. She then righted herself with her left hand and moved herself closer to The Regnant. By this time the orbs of Bo's eyes matched that of The Regnant as she continued to feed. The Regnant smiled at the sight.

"Very good." The Regnant said. Bo closed her eyes and her body swooned as she drank wantonly. Regent Saladin then turned to Elena.

"I will leave this to you then. See you at our morning briefing." Saladin said. Elena nodded.

After breakfast, Saladin entered his interior office with his Principal Aide Dyak Edel and a large of office staff. After they had all filed in they each provided a quick brief of their area as it related to the days' agenda while Saladin checked some notes from his desk. There was a lot to do with the Convocation, the Installation Ceremony and The Great Sleep all happening in the next six months, and his office was responsible for the management of it all. As he was reading through his notes and listening to his staff one note made him stop for a moment which also made the round-robin of briefs from his large staff also stop. He read it intently and then looked up at his aides who only looked back at him. He pondered the note then put it back down on his desk. After giving direction to his staff, Saladin headed into his adjoining briefing room where the attendees for his morning briefing were waiting. He was followed not only by Dyak Edel but his other two Principal Aides Dyak Tusma and Dyak Isidoro. Everyone stood when he entered the room, and all extended bows and he promptly returned the courtesy.

"Blessings and felicitations." Saladin greeted as he took his seat.

"Blessings, Your Excellency." They all replied as they took their seats. Dyak Edel handed Saladin his conference notes and then took a seat behind him next to Dyak Tusma and Dyak Isidoro against the wall.

In attendance were Their Serene Highnesses Deputy Regent Elena Prescotti and Third Regent Rimma Prescotti who flanked him at the table. Grand Primus Cheles, Primus Mira Levasseur from the Intelligence Pillar, Primus Gracer from the Political Pillar, Primus Andathis from the Law Pillar, and Primus Oamra Guilloy, the new Primus for Business Pillar who replaced the deceased Primus Jann Cocher. Taoiseach Eva Sandalli and her deputy Xavier Hagiel, were also present and so were Agent Prime de Lucia, head of The Agency, the Prime Representatives of Parliament Lisandro Sellecchia, Silas Valere, and Brys Rolande. Illia, The Archaryani of the Monadori Sanctuary, the Deputy Pashan of the Combined Armies, Thaddeus Pela, and Jedrik Leonhard, the Bostanji of the Regnant Guard, and Engineer Prime "Archie" Bristolis. Agent Chennai was also present but sat behind Agent Prime de Lucia.

"Let us begin with the heaviest task ahead of us: The Convocation which will begin in a few weeks' time. I understand the Grand Ducals, their families and staffs are already settled in their residences throughout Nahala." Regent Saladin asked.

"Yes, Your Excellency." Dyak Isidoro replied.

"Are the Planar Delegations settled?" Regent Saladin asked.

"As they arrive, Your Excellency." Dyak Tusma replied.

"Security?" Regent Saladin asked.

"We have the protection net in place for the Ruling Family and the Tetrarch, and have already begin to insert themselves throughout the city." Bostanji Leonhard reported.

"To Maxima's frustration." Third Regent Prescotti replied with a smile. Bostanji Leonhard exhaled.

"We especially consider Here Serene Highnesses' concerns every time, and make accommodations where we can." Bostanji Leonhard said.

"I'm new to the table. Not following here." Primus Guilloy said.

"Maxima has never really been fond of having guards much to the frustration of her Bas. She finds it even more intrusive when conducting her work at CHP." Third Regent Prescotti replied.

"I see." Primus Guilloy said.

"She has asked Their Majesties to dismiss her Guard altogether several times, but they said no, obviously. She keeps trying though." Third Regent Prescotti replied.

"Her Serene Highness seems to be firmly of her own mind." Primus Guilloy said.

"Being the youngest allows for such independence." Third Regent Prescotti replied with a smile. Others joined her.

"And the Combined Armies?" Regent Saladin asked.

"We have deployed elements of the Combined Armies as a secondary net to the Regnant Guard, covering the air, sea, land, and vortex transportation systems between the planes. Once the Pashan returns from Nassoria he will conduct a final inspection of our overall defense posture." Deputy Pashan Pela added.

"The Knights?" Regent Saladin asked.

"The final contingent will arrive over the next week. Once assembled, Ariella and I will brief them on their honor positions and watch rotations. Ariella and I will stand the first watch. Regent Saladin and Grand Primus Cheles will stand the watch after us, as always."

"I trust you have included me in that list?" Prime Representative Sellecchia asked.

"Yes, and also all the Knights seated at this table who have already inquired." Deputy Regent Prescotti replied to nods.

"This will be a good time to inform you all that The Queen plans to stand watch over Regnant Einiah's tomb." Regent Saladin said.

"What?" Grand Primus Cheles let out.

"I was not aware." Deputy Regent Prescotti noted.

"There was a note on my desk just before I walked into this meeting." Regent Saladin replied.

"She hasn't done that in ages. What brought this on?" Prime Representative Sellecchia asked.

"I am not sure." Regent Saladin replied. Everyone looked around at one another.

"What about the Great Sleep?" Primus Mira Levasseur asked.

"I still need to discuss that with Her Majesty. How are the final package proposal agreements from the respective Dynasties coming along?" Regent Saladin asked.

"We are coordinating with the Parliamentary Councils to finalize the schedules for debate in each area of consideration." Primus Gracer reported as he nodded at both Taoiseach Sandalli and Deputy Taoiseach Hagiel.

"The Ranas will be pleased to hear that when they all arrive." Deputy Regent Prescotti replied.

"Speaking of which, is Rana Prescotti still in Nassoria?" Deputy Taoiseach Hagiel asked.

"Yes, but we expect to receive a report from him during this meeting on his trip there." Rimma replied.

"Judging from package proposal agreements is there anything that may prove to be exceptionally controversial?" Grand Primus Cheles asked.

"Not necessarily. No more than the standard renegotiations over historical agreements largely." Primus Andathis replied.

"I would agree. The Realm is more curious about the Installation Ceremony, and meeting The Princess Royal and her companion." Primus Mira Levasseur added.

"I'm sure. The curiosity from that alone may stymie a lot of extraneous political discussion during the Convocation. We should be thankful for that." Grand Primus Cheles said.

"We should also inform you all The Queen plans to have The Princess Royal in attendance at all of the political discussions she attends." Third Regent Prescotti said.

"Really?" Prime Representative Valere replied.

"The Queen wants The Princess Royal to begin right away." Regent Saladin said.

"One would think she would want The Princess Royal to acclimatize first." Prime Representative Valere replied.

"The Queen herself had no such luxury." Prime Representative Sellecchia said.

"Yes, but she comes from our plane of existence. The Princess Royal does not." Prime Representative Valere replied.

"Precisely. The Princess Royal is Fae born and raised amongst humans. She needs to be immersed so she may begin to think and operate as a Fae in a wholly Fae world without inhibitions." Regent Saladin replied.

"So that it becomes second nature. Indoctrination. I understand now." Prime Representative Valere said.

"Well, it certainly makes the inclusion of the 25th Delegation more important than ever." Deputy Taoiseach Hagiel said.

"I agree. Taking on eight billion of these humans will be controversial enough. Not to mention their management." Primus Gracer said.

"I have no doubt Grand Ducal Marquis is up to the task." Prime Representative Valere said.

"If she doesn't exterminate the lot of them first." Primus Sellecchia added.

"You are not very far off the mark. My deputy, Agent de la Brosse reports Grand Ducal Marquis has already conducted some purges." Agent Prime de Lucia said.

"Of humans?" Prime Representative Valere asked.

"As I understand it she has already purged some defiant Fae Elders, and any humans associated with the defiant Fae Elders." Agent Prime de Lucia replied.

"How is the Transition Plan coming along? Any reports on the progress of that whole situation?" Prime Representative Rolande asked.

"Grand Ducal Marquis will be attending the Convocation to lead the debate for inclusion of the 25th Delegation herself, and will remain through the Installation Ceremony." Deputy Regent Prescotti said.

"Really?" Primus Sellecchia remarked.

"Really." Deputy Regent Prescotti replied. That made everyone take note.

"A reunion of old friends, Your Excellency? All around one would say." Prime Representative Rolande commented.

"Given the last 1400 years I must admit it is remarkable." Regent Saladin replied.

"Is she bringing any humans with her?" Prime Representative Valere asked.

"No. Just her deputy, Stasio Alesandese, several aides and principal members of their Elder Fae Council." Deputy Regent Prescotti replied.

"Met that Stasio at Rana McCorrigan's Installation Ceremony. Crafty fellow. You could smell his ambitions coming. He bears watching. Close watching." Deputy Taoiseach Hagiel said.

"If it were any other Fae other than Grand Ducal Marquis I would advise the same. In this case, I would advise him to step carefully where she's concerned." Taoiseach Sandalli replied to several nodding heads.

"Which brings us to the Installation Ceremony. There were be quite a few humans as well as Fae attending that event. All the friends and acquaintances of The Princess Royal and Dr. Lewis, of course. But most notably, we expect The Princess Royal's human mother to attend." Regent Saladin replied. Everyone looked around at one another.

"Apologies, but I am not as familiar with The Princess Royal's family history." Deputy Pashan Pela said.

"The Princess Royal was born of Fae parentage but raised by humans to a Sam and Mary Dennis, however, only Mary Dennis still lives, and she only found out in the last several years The Princess Royal was Fae." Third Regent Prescotti replied.

"Well, the Presidium is going to be quite the shock for her don't you think?" Deputy Pashan Pela commented.

"Precisely what The Princess Royal fears. But we all have to remember even the Fae coming from their plane will be just as in shock. Most of them are descendants of the Fae that left here 1400 years ago, so we will need to be just as considerate of them as well." Third Regent Prescotti replied.

"And they of us. Whatever feral habits they picked up on the human plane they need to be warned they will not be able to practice here." Primus Oamra Guilloy said.

"Speaking of which, Your Excellency, this might the time to bring up this…concern. I would be remiss if I did not. The banishment of the Monoliths, it weighs heavily in the mindset of some who plan to attend the Convocation. Not with the judgment of The Regnant per se but what it represents." Prime Representative Rolande said. Regent Saladin glanced quickly at Primus Levasseur who offered a slight nod.

"And I trust you are satisfied with the Sovereign's actions in that regard?" Grand Primus Cheles asked.

"Entirely! And I'm confident resources have been put in to place to monitor any further dissenting actions," Prime Representative Rolande replied as he nodded to Agent Prime de Lucia, "however, still it raises the question about total supremacy over all the planes. Enough of this partnership business, wouldn't you agree? It is beyond time."

"As you know, some planes choose sides while some others chose to remain neutral and out from the War, hence the current partnerships. But just because the Monoliths made the wrong choices all the way around doesn't mean that we should taking sweeping action and take over all planes of existence." Primus Gracer said.

"But the situation with the Monoliths begs a question that can no longer be delayed. Or ignored. Your Excellency, there will come a time where the Sovereign will have to address it. We are aware of her devoted fealty to Regnant Einiah and to his tenants, but eventually she will have to deal with it. The Monoliths may not be the only ones with allegiances to parties other than the Sovereign. Surely you must see that." Prime Representative Rolande replied.

"Are you planning to raise this as an agenda item during the Convocation?" Deputy Regent Prescotti asked.

"Not without official support. But as both an Adherent of the Monadori Santuary and as a Prime Representative of the Parliament of Fae my duty and fealty to the Sovereign is absolute. It is because of this that I argue in favor of total supremacy." Prime Representative Rolande replied.

"I will address your concerns with Her Majesty." Regent Saladin replied.

"Thank you, Your Excellency." Prime Representative Rolande said. Just then one of Regent Saladin's staff entered the room.

"Your Excellency, Rana Prescotti is on the comms." Dyak Ren reported

"Thank you, Ren." Regent Saladin replied as he looked into the air. "Comms on." The air shimmered and Antony's image appeared. Her Serene Highness Grand Ducal Nehanda Prescotti stood behind him.

"Blessings, Your Serene Highness." Regent Saladin greeted.

"Blessings, Your Excellency." Rana Prescotti replied.

"How is Nassoria?" Regent Saladin asked.

"We have been conducting soil samplings throughout Nassoria and its surrounding cities for the last several weeks. We should be finished with our findings by the end of the week." Rana Prescotti replied.

"What's going on?" Elena asked.

"Nassoria's soil is slowly succumbing to some kind of contamination and it's spreading." Antony replied. Everyone looked at one another.

"How? What's the source, Your Serene Highness?" Engineer Prime Bristolis asked.

"We believe the source started from the mountains and drained into the soil." Antony replied.

"Rock decomposition?" Engineer Prime Bristolis asked.

"That's what we thought of at first, and it has not been ruled out, but we are still conducting tests." Rana Prescotti replied.

"What about bioavailability? It's impact on the Fae living there, the animals, and plants?" Elena asked.

"First thing we checked. All biological sources seem to be protected but not for long unless we can find the source." Grand Ducal Prescotti replied.

"Your Excellency, I can send some of my Engineers right away." Engineer Prime Bristolis.

"That would be helpful." Rana Prescotti replied.

"I will speak with Emilia about sending Dr. Corrandini and Dr. Marek as well." Rimma said.

"That would also be fine. We thought this was a problem that could have been readily resolved, but doesn't look that way." Rana Prescotti replied.

"Has Ariella heard anything from Khanak Delegation?" Elena asked her sister Rimma.

"Nothing as far as I know." Rimma replied.

"And Jock? With Zifan? Elena asked.

"Nothing." Rimma replied.

"Ariella and Jock will want to join your efforts there." Elena said to her brother Antony.

"Before Ariella and Jock head off let's see if we can contain the issue first." Antony said.

"Besides we have Yammy, Eshe, Masilo, Chione and the extended family all checking the adjoining cities. And Her Majesty's sister Ina will be here as well. We'll let you know if there is a need to send Ariella and Jock." Nehanda added.

"How much longer will you be in Nassoria?" Regent Saladin asked.

"A few more weeks, but will be back in time for the Opening of the Convocation, barring any further developments." Antony replied.

"I will offer a special blessing on your efforts there, Your Excellencies." The Archaryani said.

"May your blessings be received and bestowed." Antony replied with the standard mantra.

"I will brief Their Majesties." Regent Saladin said.

"Thank you, Saladin." Antony replied and the call ended and everyone returned their attention Regent Saladin.

"Let us return to the agenda. I want to review a couple of the package proposal agreements already submitted." Regent Saladin said.

After the morning briefing meeting was over Regent Saladin walked with Agent Prime de Lucia and Agent Chennai back to the Agency so he could check in on Kenzi. She had finished her physical indoctrination training and was about to begin her immersion training on the organizational side. Once they arrived at The Agency offices Agent Prime excused herself and left Agent Chennai to continue to escort Regent Saladin to see Kenzi. Regent Saladin and Agent Chennai found Kenzi and Beatrice still settling in their offices with Agents Greystone and Korvo looking on. Everyone in their offices stopped and offered a quick bow when Regent Saladin entered the room.

"Regent Saladin. Hello! Am I in trouble or something?" Kenzi asked.

"No Milady. I am here to check on your progress. How is everything coming along?" Regent Saladin replied.

"Great! For once I'm not getting physically killed by these two." Kenzi said as she pointed at Greystone and Korvo. Regent Saladin smiled.

"Nadu, it's great to see you!" Kenzi greeted.

"You as well. I see everything is coming along just fine. What's on the agenda for today?" Agent Chennai asked.

"Preparing her for her clearance phase." Korvo replied.

"Clearance phase?" Kenzi queried. Beatrice stepped back into the office.

"Ah, Kenzi. There are some staffers here that wish to see you." Beatrice said with some apprehension.

"Huh?" Kenzi said as she looked behind Beatrice and saw a line of staffers carrying boxes. The first one came into her office.

"Blessings and felicitations! I am Dyak Kolya from Analysis. I will be instructing you on the purpose, structure and mission of the Analysis section within the Agency," as he dropped a box of instructional materials on her desk.

"We shall review chapters 1-5 tomorrow with a cursory exam at the end of this week." Dyak Kolya said.

"Five chapters? This week? And an exam? Are you kidding?" Kenzi replied, eyes wide.

"Peace and protection be upon you." Dyak Kolya replied and left. Then another staffer stepped in right behind him.

"Blessings and felicitations I am Dyak Edana from Technological Sciences. I will be instructing you on the purpose, structure and mission of the Technological Sciences section within the Agency." Dyak Edana said as she dropped another box of instructional materials on her desk.

"We shall review chapters 1-2 this afternoon with a cursory exam tomorrow." Dyak Edana said.

"Wait! Hold on a minute!" Kenzi replied.

"Peace and protection be upon you." Dyak Edana replied and left. Then another staffer stepped in right behind her.

"Blessings and felicitations I am Dyak Nadine from Clandestine Services. I will be instructing you on the purpose, structure and mission of the Clandestine Services section within the Agency." Dyak Nadine said as she dropped yet a third box of instructional materials on Kenzi's desk.

"We shall review chapters 1-4 this afternoon with a cursory exam the day after tomorrow." Dyak Nadine said. Kenzi just stared at the three boxes then looked to the group for help.

"Peace and protection be upon you." Dyak Nadine replied and left. Then another staffer stepped in right behind her.

"Blessings and felicitations I am Dyak Adan from the Special Staffs for the Parliament. I will be instructing you on the purpose, structure and mission of the Special Staffs section within the Agency." Dyak Adan said as he dropped a fourth box of instructional materials on Kenzi's desk.

"We shall review chapters 1-2 tomorrow afternoon with a cursory exam the day after tomorrow." Dyak Adan said.

"Okay, just stop right there!" Kenzi held up her hands. Korvo and Greystone began chuckling in the corner. Agent Chennai smiled widely. Kenzi and Beatrice looked at them.

"What's going on? Is this a joke? Am I being punked or something?" Kenzi asked. Korvo and Greystone kept laughing. Kenzi looked to Agent Chennai.

"If 'being punked' means you are being teased then the answer is yes." Agent Chennai replied. Kenzi narrowed her eyes at Korvo and Greystone who were still laughing.

"Don't get it wrong. You still have to learn the various sections of the Agency, but not all like this." Agent Chennai explained.

"Are there really exams?" Kenzi asked.

"Yes, but not like you think." Agent Chennai replied. Kenzi looked to Korvo and Greystone then picked up a small pad of paper and threw it at them.

"You asses!" Which caused them to laugh even harder.

"I trust you have all of this in hand." Regent Saladin said to Agent Chennai.

"Yes, Your Excellency." Agent Chennai replied.

"Very good. And Ms. Malikov, welcome to the Agency." Regent Saladin said as he departed the room to bows.

Regent Saladin entered Presidium Medical and was greeted with bows. He came upon Dr. Prescotti and Dr. Lewis engaged in conversation while they reviewed some work.

"Regent Saladin! I didn't know you were coming. Is there something you need?" Dr. Lewis asked.

"No worries, Dr. Lewis. Your Serene Highness, blessings." Regent Saladin greeted.

"Blessings, Your Excellency." Emilia replied.

"I came to see how Dr. Lewis is coming along." Regent Saladin said.

"Ah, fine. Dr. Prescotti and I were just talking about Bo's training." Lauren replied.

"Oh?"

"How it's having an effect on her ears!" Emilia replied. Regent Saladin looked at them curious.

"Bo's snoring." Lauren clarified.

"Ah. That bad." Regent Saladin replied.

"She could have woke the next plane of existence this morning!" Lauren said with exasperation which caused Emilia to chuckle.

"We have to find something for that because I cannot be up half the night having," as she looked to Regent Saladin, "well, you know, and up the other half the night from her snoring!" Emilia's chuckle turned into laughter which caused Lauren to narrow her eyes in false irritation.

"You are having fun with this aren't you?" Lauren said to Emilia.

"So much!" Emilia replied with more laughter which caused Lauren to join her.

"My dear sister are you ready?" Ariella said when she entered the room to extended courtesies.

"Oh yes, lost track of time. Just let me go put my work away." Emilia replied as she stood up and left the room.

"Hello, Dr. Lewis!" Ariella greeted.

"Hello, Your Serene Highness. Is there something going on?" Lauren asked.

"Sisterly afternoon outing that's all." Ariella replied. Then Rimma and Atia entered the room talking with one another closely followed by Maxima and Elena.

"Hello Dr. Lewis!" Elena greeted.

"Sisterly outing I understand." Lauren said.

"Yes, we haven't been out together in some time." Atia replied.

"Off shopping or something?" The sisters all looked at one another with small grins.

"Not quite." Maxima replied as the sisters went and stood near a set of side exit doors out to the garden. Dr. Makar came up next to Dr. Lewis.

"First time you have seen them depart on a sisterly outing?" Dr. Makar said in a low voice.

"Yes." Lauren replied in the same low voice.

"Be right back." Dr. Makar said as she turned and passed a returning Emilia who greeted each of her sisters with a short hug and kiss. Lauren saw that Emilia was only in her lab coat and bare feet, and then realized all of her sisters were also dressed simply.

"Going for a swim or something?" Lauren asked.

Emilia then walked past Lauren towards the side exit doors that led to the outside, and as she had done so brushed her shoulder slightly against Lauren's, turned around but continued walking backwards, her eyes flaring Succubi blue.

"Not quite." Emilia replied with a smile.

Emilia then turned back around, and as she walked out the side doors she dropped her lab coat revealing her naked backside. Lauren's eyes enjoyed the view until she saw Emilia begin to grow and transform. She quickly looked to Atia, Rimma, Maxima, Ariella, and Elena who all just smiled back at her. She looked back at Emilia who grew larger and larger, her skin shifted in white fur with black streaks. Lauren remained transfixed as she saw Emilia's body transform into an animalistic form. When Emilia turned around to reveal her complete transformation Lauren's wide eyes were fixated on the massive giant, white saber tooth tiger with fierce, flaring blue eyes that was Emilia. Lauren's mind went into scientist mode and quickly calculated that Emilia stood about eighty feet tall, but even in her Fae form, Lauren found Emilia beautiful. Emilia then roared and then went into the tree line. Regent Saladin went and stood next to Lauren.

"Dr. Lewis, are you okay?" Regent Saladin asked. Lauren nodded quickly still in awe. Then Atia came into her view as she went out the door following Emilia, raised her arms, and her form grew, emitting a blinding light. Everyone put their hands and arms up to block the glow and when it went away Lauren's eyes looked upon Atia's form that was still humanoid, but she had giant white, owl wings, and nearly in equal height as that of Emilia with a wing span of almost equal measure. Atia looked back smiled and then shot up into the air.

Then Maxima walked out the side exit doors and shifted midstride into a giant Leopard as she walked towards the treeline. Lauren's eyes were still wide as Maxima turned and seemed to stretch her jaws, showing her very sharp teeth, and then turned and disappeared into the tree line.

Then Rimma walked out the side exit doors and she too shifted midstride into a giant Jaguar, and followed Maxima into the tree line.

When Ariella stepped outside of the side exit doors and shifted into a giant, black Panther it actually made Lauren take a step back.

"My God!" Lauren slipped. Elena came up to Lauren.

"Are you okay?" Elena asked. Lauren nodded quickly but said nothing, not taking her eyes off Ariella as she disappeared into the tree line. Elena smiled.

"Well, we will see you later." Elena said. Lauren nodded as her eyes stayed wide and focused on the shaking tree line. Then Elena came into her view Elena walked outside the side exit doors, lifted her arms into the air and her body shifted in a giant, Blue Falcon, her wing span darkening the lab as she flew up and over the tree line in pursuit of her sisters.

"Yep, thought you might need this." Lauren turned and saw Dr. Makar had returned with two drinks in hand.

"You thought correctly, Doctor. Thank you!" Lauren replied.

"Haven't you seen them shift before?" Dr. Makar asked.

"Only The Regnant and her four sons when they first visited our plane of existence." Lauren replied.

"It's always quite the sight. Even for me." Dr. Makar replied.

"I will toast that." Lauren replied as the clinked glasses. "I swear we live in Narnia. A big, fat, giant version of Narnia."

"I trust Dr. Makar you have this all in hand?" Regent Saladin asked.

"Well in hand, Your Excellency." Dr. Makar replied.

"Good day, Doctor." Regent Saladin said as he departed to bows.

Regent Saladin found Her Majesty, Helen, The Queen Consort in a conference room within her suite of offices in the middle of bustling small group discussions, and work was spread out across tables as the staffs poured over them. While the Regency served as one arm for The Sovereign The Queen Consort's office served as the other, and together they worked to support and ensure the Sovereign's rule over the Realm. Saladin took a moment to admire the woman who had captured The Queen's heart and soul. Saladin considered Ari and Helen's union fortuitous for Helen's abilities and skill sets perfectly complimented not only her role as wife to Ari, but as Consort to The Queen. It was times like the Convocation that only served to highlight the Realm's fortune in having Helen as their Queen Consort.

It was her office that was responsible for capturing and organizing the overall agenda of the Convocation to include all of the political meetings, package proposal agreements, order of debates, conferences, receptions, and the opening and closing ceremonies and banquets. Each area of Presidium had a say, but it was The Queen Consort's domain, in concert with the Regency to provide the final review of the Convocation agenda before it was approved by The Sovereign. Not only was The Queen Consort responsible for the Convocation but also for organizing and planning the details for the Installation Ceremony. Her role was heavy, but it always impressed Saladin at how The Queen Consort performed her role with an intelligence and incisiveness born out of fealty and love. And she did so with impeccable grace.

As Regent Saladin surveyed the room he also noticed Agent Neria Pettosami, engaged in one of the small group discussions. Agent Pettosami was assigned to The Queen Consort's office from the Agency, and worked in the same vein as Agent Chennai for the Regency. He also noticed Rana Fitzpatrick McCorrigan in another small group. Rana McCorrigan was still in residence at the Presidium, but after the Great Sleep would move to the City of Ravenglass, the seat of power of the Quedarin Dynasty.

"Your Majesty." Regent Saladin said as he approached The Queen Consort. Everyone nearby offered short nods.

"Saladin! I trust your day has been full?" The Queen Consort greeted. Regent Saladin took her right hand and kissed it.

"Every day, Your Majesty." Regent Saladin replied when Trick approached. "Rana McCorrigan. Blessings and felicitations."

"Same to you Regent Saladin. Boy, I had forgotten how long a Convocation agenda could run. This latest revision is a 1000-pages." Trick said.

"We must ensure each detail is covered." The Queen Consort replied.

"Clearly. Don't let Bo see this or she might pack up Lauren and the children and run back to County. Recognition be damned." Trick replied.

"So what brings you here today?" The Queen Consort asked Regent Saladin.

"A moment if you will, Your Majesty, to bring you up to speed on some items. It is good you are here, Your Excellency, if you have a moment to join us?"

"Sure." Trick replied.

"Quinn?" The Queen Consort called.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"I need to step away with Regent Saladin and Rana McCorrigan. Please monitor the small group discussions until I return. Let them go on another 30 minutes and then have them reconvene to combine the summary recommendations." The Queen Consort said.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Quinn replied.

The Queen Consort then led Rana McCorrigan and Regent Saladin into a nearby drawing room, and when Regent Saladin entered last he closed the door behind them. The Queen sat down in a nearby chair, as always posture ramrod straight and regal. Trick took a seat in a chair on her left while Regent Saladin took a high back chair opposite her.

"During my morning staff briefing Prime Representative Brys Rolande raised the question of total supremacy over all the planes." Regent Saladin reported.

"Really?" Trick said.

"With the advent of the 25th Delegation and the banishment of the Monoliths it begs the question in his mind." Saladin replied.

"As you know, we have tried to discuss that very question with Ari a number of times, but each time we do she's been reticent." Helen replied.

"What's Ari's position?" Trick asked.

"After the War Ari felt the Realm should focus on rebuilding. Now that has since been accomplished the question of total rule remains." Helen replied.

"I must admit I was surprised Ari did not take advantage after the War. It would have been a perfect opportunity. Now I understand why." Trick said.

"Does Prime Representative Rolande intend to raise it during the Convocation?" Helen asked.

"No. At least not without official support." Saladin replied.

"That means he intends to query others, informally of course." Helen said.

"Of course." Saladin replied.

"What do you plan to do?" Helen asked.

"Raise it with the Sovereign. She must know the question can no longer be ignored." Regent Saladin replied.

"I agree. What else?" Helen asked.

"Nassoria. There are definite signs of soil contamination. They are still conducting tests so as to pinpoint the source, but they will not know the results until the end of this week. Engineer Prime Bristolis plans to send additional engineering staff, and Presidium Medical plans to send Drs. Marek and Corrandini to assist with testing the organics." Saladin replied.

"Any impact on the food supply? Fae?" Helen asked.

"Nothing that they can determine as of yet." Saladin replied.

"Strange happenings." Trick commented.

"Rana Prescotti said he would be another few weeks but would be back in time for the Convocation." Saladin replied.

"Good to hear. Ari and I shall put in a call with him tonight. Anything else?" Helen asked.

"The Great Sleep?" Saladin asked.

"Ari is of the mindset after the Installation Ceremony." Helen replied.

"People will be concerned about the delay." Saladin said.

"I too am also concerned, but the calendar doesn't permit any other time. Ari would have done it after Fitzpatrick's initial visit, but when Bo was Recognized that changed everything. After the Installation Ceremony will be the best window." Helen replied.

"Understood, Your Majesty."

"What else?" Helen asked.

"Her Majesty notified me earlier today she intends to stand watch over Regnant Einiah's tomb at the advent of the Convocation." Saladin replied. Helen and Trick looked at one another.

"She hasn't done that in years." Helen said.

"I thought you might be aware as to the reason?" Saladin queried.

"I am just as curious as you are." Helen replied then fell into thought for a few moments. "I shall ask tonight at dinner. Anything else?"

"I also checked in on Ms. Malikov and Dr. Lewis." Saladin replied.

"How are they coming along?" The Queen Consort asked.

Regent Saladin smiled.

Later in the early evening, Regent Saladin was back in his offices sitting at his desk reviewing paperwork when Dyak Edel opened the door and admitted The Queen, The Princess Royal, Elena, Rimma, Ariella, and Julian.

"Your Majesty, I would have come to you for our evening briefing." Regent Saladin said as he stood up and was about to bow when The Queen raised her hand up and stopped him.

"We were in the area." The Queen said as she went and sat in chair in the nearest seating area followed by everyone else.

"Helen spoke to me about Nassoria. She and I will contact Antony later tonight." The Queen said after she took her seat. The Seneschal appeared with drinks all around except for two waters, one for Saladin and one for Rimma.

"So what happened at your morning brief?" The Queen asked.

"Prime Representative Rolande raised the issue about total supremacy over the planes." Regent Saladin replied.

"Helen, Jock, Atia, Lillian and Yammy all cornered me on it soon after I returned from my visit on the Human plane. Even Evony before I left there." The Queen replied.

"We know this question has been coming for quite some time now." Regent Saladin said.

"A question where the answer could lead to another war." The Queen replied.

"Are not all the planes under your rule?" Bo asked.

"Only the ones that chose to acquiesce independent rule after the War, such as Monoliths in return against their total destruction. The ruled planes are represented within the Parliament. They rest govern themselves. but still send delegations to the Convocation. After all, they still need the partnerships, but they have no official voice." The Queen replied.

"There were whole planes that were destroyed after the war?" Bo asked incredulous.

"Yes." The Queen replied.

"By your hand?" Bo asked.

"Yes." The Queen replied. Bo said nothing.

"Billions of lives were lost as a result the War, and that weighs with me, and it will with you one day when you become Sovereign. But no matter what you must not fear to act in order to preserve and protect the Realm." The Queen said.

"So the question of total supremacy is like a pre-emptive strike?" Bo asked.

"Very much so." The Queen replied.

"Against what? Fear of the possibility that the other planes may do same thing that the Monoliths did?" Bo asked.

"In some mindsets, yes." Julian answered.

"How does one know unless this situation presents itself?" Bo asked.

"Don't you think it has already? With the Monoliths?" Ariella asked.

"I'd consider that an isolated incident. Unless the other planes are making noises that sound disloyal I would wait and see. To use the situation with the Monoliths as an excuse to take over the other planes would be an overreaction, don't you think? If anything, it should spur working more closely with the planes rather than taking them over." Bo replied then turned to The Queen. "How long can you delay this question?"

"I thought for quite a while. When I became Queen my foremost concern was rebuilding the Realm. It was my first duty and remains my first duty." Ari replied.

"You have succeeded and then some from what I can see." Bo replied.

"I did and do so with a great deal of help and support. Nevertheless, with what happened with the Monoliths and your Recognition begs the discussion now." Ari said then looked intently at Bo. "As the future Sovereign, You should have a say as well. How should this question be approached?"

"Your Majesty, like you, I would be more concerned about maintaining the prosperity of the Realm. And while I'm not necessarily in favor of instant action, I agree there's also no harm in discussing the issue. See where the discussion leads, and then decide the best course of action." Bo replied. Ari nodded her head and then turned to Regent Saladin.

"I want to approach this question carefully. Take soundings. I'm thinking the best forum would be an informal one. A private reception of select attendees." Ari said.

"Before, during or after the Convocation?" Ariella asked.

"It cannot be beforehand since I want the Tetrarch in attendance, and Antony is still in Nassoria. During would be the best approach since all the players would be here, but if word got out that I addressed this question, it would be nearly impossible to reign in the reaction. My preference would be to discuss it after the Convocation, but that has its perils of being seen as contemptuous of the Parliament of Fae altogther." Ari replied.

"To use The Princess Royal's words I would recommend a pre-emptive strike, Your Majesty." Have Prime Representative Rolande raise the question officially during the Convocation first. That way we are seen to be reacting to his request, and he becomes the instigator rather than us and the focus will be on him, and all of our subsequent actions will be as a result of responding to him." Elena proposed.

"My thoughts exactly." Ari replied.

"I will see to it, Your Majesty." Elena replied.

"One other thing, Your Majesty." Regent Saladin prompted.

"Yes?"

"Your Great Sleep? Her Majesty is concerned you have already put it off too long and so am I." Regent Saladin replied.

"I've decided to do so after the Bo's Installation Ceremony, but this time at my Homelands. It will appease my family's calls for me to return home for visit, especially after what happened on the Human plane." The Queen replied.

"Very good, Your Majesty." Regent Saladin replied.

"And the entire family will go to include Bo and her family." Ari said.

"Why thank you, Your Majesty?" Bo replied.

"It would be a perfect time all around, and it will be important for you to see some of the lands you will one day rule over." Ari replied.

"Lauren and children will love it. I assume Trick, I mean, Rana McCorrigan is included in that invitation, but I would like to bring Kenzi along as well if that is okay?" Bo asked.

"Of course. And Regent Saladin will be in charge while we are away." Ari replied.

"Your Majesty." Regent Saladin acknowledged.

"Your Majesty, there will be a need to do some cleanup work after the Convocation and I should remain behind." Rimma said.

"You too. Besides Nehanda says you have not practiced your enchantment skills with her in quite some time. She is looking forward to it." Ari replied.

"But Your Majesty…" Rimma started.

"It will make your Mother happy to have us all together." Ari replied as she rose from her chair and headed for the door followed by the others.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Rimma said.

"Plead you case to Mother." Ariella whispered.

"I intend to." Rimma whispered back.

"Your Majesty, one last item." Regent Saladin said.

"What is it?"

"I understand from your note this morning you plan to stand watch at Regnant Einiah's tomb. Regent Saladin said.

"Yes."

"You have not done that in years. Might I inquire as to the impetus for this decision?" Regent Saladin asked. The Queen looked straight at Bo then back at Regent Saladin.

"I need to." The Queen replied.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Regent Saladin said.

"Thank you Saladin. See you tomorrow." As The Queen and her entourage departed Dyak Edel returned.

"Dinner plans, Your Excellency?" Dyak Edel asked.

"I have arrangements, thank you Edel, and have a good evening." Regent Saladin replied.

"Good evening, Your Excellency," Dyak Edel replied as he bowed then left and shut the doors behind him.

Regent Saladin sat back down in his chair and reviewed the next days' agenda.
