Heya people! Welcome back to my stories. This story hadn't been updated for a very long time and I'm happy to finally bring an update to this story as many have requested. During this story I have made a few changes to already existing elements which I truly cannot be bothered to go back through every single chapter before to change so pay attention as I will tell you the changes now:

Lord of the Divum has become Divum Archon. (The name of the spell changed.)

Bell no longer has the swordsman development ability as the introduction of a new skill made me change my mind.

Instead of swordsman I gave him abnomal resistance

I realized I made a mistake when writing the status. Bell HAS achieved concurrent chanting with Argonaut.

My main plan has changed and I have now introduced other Destiny elements though they will likely not stick to the canon Destiny lore and descriptions (appearances)

I couldn't come up with things to add so I time skipped instead. I really want to get to the main part of the story where he joins Evilus. For those curious there are only three major events before that happens, Bell's level up to 5, the last expedition of the two Great Familias and the three Great Quests.

Answering Tatsumi Partas:

Alfia and Zald stayed back in Orario for a week while Bell and Zeus leave for a village. A week later they arrive but Bell has been taken. Alfia flies into a rage and starts travelling Gekai trying to find Bell, destroying all Evilus bases. She keeps her Hera falna as she roams around with Zeus, Zald and Hera searching for Bell without stopping.

No, new members like Lefiya, Bete and Ais won't know about Bell. Yes, Lefiya and the elves will be shocked by the whole situation and relationship.

People who don't know him will not be hostile but some will be jealous because his feats have become a legend of Orario. The executives will reveal his identity as the adventurer who was called the strongest with the alias of 'Argonaut.'

Yes, Riveria will have the one day he 'dies' to mourn. On that day people will remember Bell, those who know of him. Everyone who don't know of him are curious as even the Gods participate with sincere sadness.

This event will be told to the new members but not who the Argonaut was until Bell appears in Orario under Evilus and Loki will reveal that she used to have a close relationship with the Argonaut.

No, Riveria would never move on.

I have changed my mind as to which story to write thus I will be working on the prince one, then come back to the RayxBell one.

Other than that I don't think I forgot to mention anything.

I hope you enjoy the chapter you have all waited for!

Chapter 8 – Emergence Of The Ancient Beasts

Bell and Atraxia raised their fists into the sky, their victory brought a smile to their face as everyone cheered them on. The members of the Osiris, Set and Sobek Familia all laid unconscious around them as the match ended and the victors were announced.

Bell watched as the three Gods that challenged his Familia cursed and whined at their loss, their hands going to their hair, almost pulling it out in frustration. Not that Osiris had any to pull out either way. At least he hadn't need to worry about his child as the match had concluded and medics rushed out from the side lines with stretchers to tend to the three injured adventurers.

The alliance of Gods that were sat with Zeus cheered for the two members of the Zeus and Hera Familia. Bell looked around the arena with a massive grin on his face as everyone cheered for the little bunny. Soon Alfia and Riveria left their seats and rushed over to the centre.

Alise and Kaguya stared at the bunny with slack jaws, not believing how powerful he was. Astraea from beside Alise covered her mouth with her hand as she cutely giggled, though the divine sound was drowned by the cheers of the people.

"Congratulations Bell!"

The two high levelled mages pounced on the victorious bunny, pulling him in a tight embrace that risked suffocating him between the two women's chest. Spotting Atraxia the two awkwardly smiled at the girl who was watching them with a smile.

"O-oh, right. Ahem, good job Atraxia. You did the Familia proud."

"Hehehe, it's a bit hard to take you seriously with such a bright blush Alfia."

The normally aggressive girl felt like she could die of embarrassment.

"Besides, Bell truly is amazing. You and Riveria shouldn't mind me, just continue."

The two mages were red with embarrassment as they could hear their own Familias laughing from their places.

"Congratulations you two. You have truly demonstrated the power of the two greatest Familias."

The four at the centre turned to see Astraea walking towards them with Alise and Kaguya behind her.

"THAT. WAS. AMAZING!"

Alise couldn't hold her excitement as she looked at the bunny with the oversized sword hanging off his back. The Goddess of justice went up to the boy before kneeling down and embracing the boy. Seeing his cute little face, she couldn't herself back and decided to be a little daring. She moved her face closer to his and pressed her lips on the bunny's tender cheek. This garnered the shocked attention of everyone in the arena, particularly the Gods, who knew how she hated men, Riveria and Alfia.

The bunny turned to the Goddess who kissed him with a confused look as he tilted his head. It was so incredibly cute that Astraea couldn't help but give him another gentle peck on the cheek. Riveria and Alfia stood by the side and their faces showed clear signs of jealousy, but made no move to stop them since it was Astraea. All the while Alise and Kaguya were surprised again by their leader's behaviour.

She who seemed to hate men and was always a strict, upright and righteous person was now on her knees for the five years old child. A gentle smile was plastered on her face as she cuddled the tiny head, rubbing her cheek on his soft white hair.

"A'ight Astraea cut it out or Alfia and the ol' hag might die of jealousy. Oh and congratulations by the way to the both of ya."

The Goddess' attention turned to the dwarf executive of the Loki Familia, who walked with a proud smile on his face. Said words prompted a ferocious reaction by the two aforementioned people who glared with an intensity that could probably melt orichalcum.

"Hehe, sorry dears. It was just too tempting."

The two mages stopped glaring and turned to the Goddess of justice.

"Don't worry. Since its you we don't mind."

Though initially jealous the two put on a soft smile which reassured Astraea as she kept a tight hold of Bell, much to his pouting displeasure. Though that didn't help Bell as the girls all found it extremely adorable of the little bunny.

"Congratulations to you two."

They were suddenly surprised by the appearance of the previously defeated members of the Osiris, Set and Sobek Familias. Though it seemed like they held no more hostility towards them, but weirdly to many it seemed like they respected the two members of the Hera and Zeus Familia.

Their injuries were still visible but it seems like they had been mostly healed as they walked towards them without any trouble. The leader of the group of three, that wore a golden helmet that had jutting ends, came forwards and extended his hand to Bell.

"Eh?"

Everyone was very much confused at the current situation, even Sobek and Set. Only Osiris didn't seem surprised, but that shouldn't be unusual since he was his child. He of all would probably understand him the most.

"I'd like to congratulate you for you excellent performance."

"Ah, thank you. Yo-"

Bell had been picked up by Alfia and was raising his hand to shake the titan's armoured hand when lady fate decided to steer fate towards chaos and disaster. The happy and cheery atmosphere was turned upside down in an instant as the earth shook.

As the seconds passed, the trembling picked up only growing in intensity. The earth soon started to crack, the buildings violently vibrated as the tremors that were born out of the ground started to cause wide spread panic.

"W-what the hell is going?!"

Even the normally thunderous shout of Gareth was drowned as the trembling earth continued. Then in addition to the earthquake the sound of massive explosions started to go off. Gigantic smoke stacks raised from the city into the sky, visible for all to see.

No one could hear anything until things seemed to have calmed down. That's when members of the Zeus Familia who had been stationed to guard the areas around Babel and the Familia home rushed into the arena seeking their patron Gods.

"Zeus-sama! Hera-sama! We have an emergency! Terrorists from the Necro Phantoms started appearing out of nowhere! They began bombing and attacking anyone in sight!"

"What?!"

The many Gods and executives that were present had bewildered looks as they heard the report.

"Where are they?!"

"Most are around Babel, the magic stone factories and the Dian Cecht Familia!"

Astraea then asked a question that everyone had forgotten to ask.

"What about the earthquake and all the explosions? What happened outside?"

"T-that's …"

"What is the matter?"

Hearing the God of the skies question them and feeling all the gazes caused them to sweat. The two members quickly glanced at each other and nodded.

"Actually that's the biggest emergency. There were a huge amount of powerful explosives that have never been seen before. They were planted around Babel. We actually believe that they are trying to knock Babel over."

"?!"

The news took everyone by surprise. They had never thought that their enemy would go after the most important building of Orario. Were they able to topple over the tower the damage caused would be devastating but more than that, there was another problem.

While the tower was a demonstration of power and wealth, its main purpose was to serve as a lid on the dungeon to prevent the monsters from emerging. If Babel were to fall then the consequences would be more dire than just the tower falling over and flattening several districts of Orario. With monsters rampaging on the surface the whole world would be placed in danger.

"Let's go then!"

Everyone turned to the bunny that was being held in the star maiden's arms. His exclamation caused everyone to smile fondly at the little hero. The captain of the Loki Familia sighed as he turned to the tower of Babel.

'Haa, how could I let him beat me to it? He has more courage than anyone I've seen.'

"Bell is right, we need to move. The longer we idle around the more damage there will be."

Hearing Maxim speak all the present adventurers picked up their weapons and prepared for battle. Following the captain of the Zeus Familia with Bell sat on his shoulder, a stream of adventurers poured out of the colosseum.

Any nearby adventurer who saw or heard the massive force moving through the city soon joined in to exterminate the invading terrorists. Any member of the evil organization was trampled and defeated. The march couldn't be stopped as they headed towards Babel where the enemy main force was located.

.

The city was mostly unaffected by the attack, only the buildings along the main east and north west streets had been slightly damaged. However the destruction grew as they got closer to Babel. The scratches turned into holes and the holes into ruins and rubbles.

The massive force looked around wearily as they watched the moderate damage turn into a land of devastation as the area just outside the massive plaza around the tower of Babel was flattened and in flames. Monster and people's corpses littered the streets, were buried under the remains of the buildings and were burning to a crisp in the fires that still lived.

It was a brutal scene, particularly since most of the people who had died were not adventurers but innocent civilians, including elderly and children. It was a scene that a five years old like Bell shouldn't be exposed to and many were against brining Bell. However, Bell was a powerful level three who had grown used to it in Altena and as an adventurer he was no stranger to such gore.

The Gods had been sent back with several members guarding them, but on Astraea's request, Alise and Kaguya had followed the main force so that they could gain experience. Bell was ironically worried about having the two fresh level ones follow them on such a dangerous battlefield but decided to go along with the Goddess' desire.

The sound of fighting could be heard as they approached the plaza where adventurers had gathered. Metal clashing, monsters and people screaming and flesh tearing resounded in the large plaza. The arrival of reinforcements lifted the declining morale of the adventurers who were getting pushed back.

The monsters and members of the evil organization were caught unprepared as hundreds of first class adventurers smashed into the back of their forces, pinching them between the two groups of adventurers. The losing battle was quickly turned around and the opponents cut down.

Everyone watched in awe as Bell, with his lightning enchantment active, rapidly shot around in the form of a lightning bolt, leaving a clean road wherever he passed through. Landing right in the middle of the enemy force, Bell used his lightning enchantment empowered by his God's Spirit skill to perform a large scale attack.

The blade that had lightning bolts dancing on its surface was raised by Bell's tiny hands before it was pushed down, burrowing into the ground. The adventurers stood back as a massive dome of white lightning expanded from the blade. Anything engulfed by it struck by thousands of bolts as if being in a thunder storm and disintegrated.

The Gods and people who had taken refuge in the manors of the major Familias, the Guild, the Dian Cecht hospital or the Blue pharmacy watched the battle from the divine mirrors of the Gods, who had been given the permission to use them by Ouranos. It wasn't out of entertainment like they would usually do for a Wargame but to inform every one of the situation.

They had bird eye view of the full battlefield which now had a massive circular empty space, with a little Bell standing in the centre of it. Cheering could be heard all around the city as people could feel hope rising again.

Bell wasn't the only one to show off as Maxim and Europa, followed by the strongest members of their Familia, used spells and their superior strength to cripple the enemy force. With a single attack from the major members of the Zeus and Hera Familia, the Necro Phantom force was more than halved. The rest of the adventures were inspired by their strength and roared with renewed vigour as they charged into the remaining terrorists.

Comprising of mostly unblessed and low levelled people with weak monsters from the upper and middle floors, the invading force was easily overrun. It took little time for them to be completely destroyed, much to the displeasure of a blonde God who sat next to several other deities watching the battle and cheered for the victorious adventurers.

"What's the matter Dionysus?"

The blonde God was surprised but didn't show it on his face as he turned to a large man with an elephant mask.

"I was just watching the city. They caused quite the damage this time."

"I do agree. Let's hope that the tower hasn't taken too much damage. It'd be a problem if something happened to it. Besides what's important are the people's lives. Buildings can repaired or rebuilt. But a human life will be lost forever."

"You're right. I have to check on my children, so I'll be going first."

"Alright, see you around."

Ganesha watched as the blonde God with a smile. Dionysus walked away not seeing how Ganesha's face turned serious, a slight frown forming on his face. Despite playing it off as nothing of important, Ganesha wasn't convinced and was extremely sceptical of the blonde God.

None, if very few, knew of how ingenious, observant and cunning Ganesha truly was. Like his elephant mask, his goofy and loud personality was just a façade to hide himself. Dionysus who thought he was safe and walked away happy to have avoided problems couldn't imagine that the generous God that was Ganesha was the first to have noticed his unusual behaviour.

Watching the retreating figure with a critical eyes Ganesha scoffed. Harming the innocent and brining danger to Gekai was something unforgivable in the eyes of the God of the masses. None could see due to his mask, but his eyes were burning with unrestrained rage at the possibility.

'I must inform Zeus and Hera.'

The God of the skies and his wife were the one who knew Dionysus the best since they were from the same region.

'You better not be behind this Dionysus.'

.

The battle had ended and the enemy completely annihilated. Maxim walked around the battle field with Bell, Alise and Kaguya by his side. He scanned the surroundings unconvinced that it was all over. The operation of the evil organization was of a large scale and the troops deployed were quite a lot. The goal was to knock down the tower of Babel and the plan was clearly to destroy the city. Major places had been targeted but they were all repelled.

It felt too easy for the Zeus captain. Despite the many dead, knowing the organization from the report he received by Zald in Altena, there were far too few monsters and members and their strength was far too weak. All the members involved were falnaless or level one, two at most. The monsters were also regular weak monsters.

Unlike the assault on Altena where they had to repel an enhanced fomoire and an army of strong monsters, much stronger than this. For this reason he had asked Bell to tag along him to analyse the battlefield, while Alise and Kaguya simply followed as they had nothing else to do.

"It's really weird."

Everyone turned to Bell as he spoke.

"Why did Leon say that the explosives were unknown?"

"Oh the reason for that is that the explosives didn't really explode apparently."

"How so?"

Kaguya and Alise curiously looked at Maxim.

"Apparently when the explosions occurred there was no visible explosion. Only shockwaves and the gusts of winds caused by them."

"Then was it a sound bomb?"

The three turned to Bell once again.

"A what?"

"A sound bomb. Using sound to make a bomb."

"Right and you know this how little one?"

"Alfia told me and its kind of like her magic gospel."

"I see. So, what is your conclusion little genius?"

"Hmm, there are two things you could do. I remember that Alfia said that each material has a natural resonance."

Alise and Kaguya stared at Bell not understanding anything. Maxim on the other hand was used to this and wasn't surprised by this.

"What does that mean Bell?"

"It's a frequency at which the material will vibrate a lot. If a sound makes a wave that matches that frequency and is strong enough, the vibration will cause the material to break."

"So in short you use sound to break things."

"Yes. But even if the bomb was very loud and strong I don't think you'd break orichalcum with it. That's just how strong orichalcum is. And it doesn't look like it did anything to the tower either way. The tower doesn't seem to have any cracks or scratches."

"Right, but you said that there were two possible choices. So what's your second idea?"

"The more simple idea of course. And that is to call something."

Bell finished his sentence striking a pose, his legs apart, one hand on his waist and the other pointing to the sky with his index finger.

"Something? What can you call?"

"I don't know. A monster maybe? Tamers use whistles to call their tamed monsters you know? Same concept."

Bell shrugged, honestly it was amazing how clever but airheaded Bell was sometimes. He simply didn't have care in the world. Alise and Kaguya were thinking about Bell's words when Maxim's eyes widened in realisation.

'The battle isn't over.'

"Bell-"

A rumbling sound filled the air as the earth beneath them cracked. Bell and Maxim were quick to react. Bell grabbed the hands of the two girls at each of his side before jumping away with Maxim right behind him. The area where they stood exploded as a massive figure emerged.

"What is going?!"

"You and Kaguya get to safety and call Europa, Anastasia, Flint, Zald and Alfia!"

The two girls started running as Bell and Maxim watched the dust clear out of the way as the monster roared. It was an enormous worm armoured with thick scales and a large mouth that opened to form a star shape. Bell and Maxim were soon joined by the members they had called for.

"What the hell is that thing?"

"Hmm? Bell? Bell?"

Everyone turned to the bunny whose eyes seemed to shine as he watched the massive worms.

"Umm … Bell?"

"This is incredible!"

"What is so incredible about a large worm?"

"It's not a simple large worm, it's called a were-worm. I always thought they were fictional beasts. But it seems like they really do exist. They must still exist far up north beyond the Lost World."

"Not now Bell it's a dangerous monster. Let's just destroy its magic stone and be done with it."

"Wait up Alfia the magic stone might fetch a pretty penny."

"Shut it Flint."

"You won't find the magic stone."

Everyone turned to Bell who stopped Flint and Alfia from starting an argument.

"Is it hard to find the magic stone?"

"No what I meant is that it has no magic stone."

"What? How is that possible?"

"As I said, were-worms aren't monsters they're beasts. Very ancient beasts that I didn't know that truly existed. They were around before the dungeon appeared and have nothing to do with monsters. They are a normal living being like any other animal.

That's why it doesn't have a magic stone as a core. Though I do remember that they are impervious to fire and lightning due to its body being covered with ground and rocks, most of the other elements have very little effect on them as well. Physical attacks are also not recommendable, normally that is. Since your levels are very high. "

"What kind of beast is that? What actually hurts the monster?"

"Hmm. Nothing really, the only way is to completely overpower it in one attack and overcome its defences."

"Then why don't you give the city a pretty show and prepare your Argonaut skill, go for an elementally charged attack. Normally we'd have Alfia use Genos Angelus but its too powerful and dangerous to use it here."

"Alright."

As Bell focused on heroic desires and charged his skill without holding anything back, the chime of a Bell covered the city. A white light formed where his heart would be and started to shine brightly as white and blue particles floated around him. Most in the city were aware of the what that meant and gathered to watch Bell.

Some adventurers who wanted to support Bell tried attacking the monster but that proved to be futile. Even level threes couldn't dent the giant's armoured surface. All weapons and magic spells were completely negated and bounced off. Even the strongest spells from level four magic casters didn't leave a scratch.

The divine mirrors focused on Bell and the worm monsters, while the adventurers that had now returned were all standing on nearby roofs. Alise, Kaguya, Azriel, Sadiki and Ammon watched astonished as Bell was about to perform another miracle for the whole of Orario to see.

"How powerful is Alfia's spell?"

The red haired girl asked the captain of the Hera Familia.

"It could level the entire eighteenth floor."

"?!"

Their eyes bulged out at the unbelievable power that the silver haired mage had.

"A-a-an entire f-floor?!"

"Hehe, Bell will probably be even more terrifying than Alfia."

"Shiiiii!"

The worm screeched, it must have sensed the danger of Bell's move and tried to attack him with its maws but was repelled by Maxim with a single punch. The captain then grabbed the hilts of his two swords that rested on his back, the sheaths crossing each other forming an 'x' on his back. The long silver blades glistened under the sun as he pointed them at the ancient beast.

Standing behind Bell, Alfia poured her magic into Bell to amplify his power. The toll of the Bells grew louder and the light surrounding him brighter. The monster was really tough but had Maxim wanted to, he'd probably be able to deal with it alone, after all he was at the peak of level seven now.

Three minutes rapidly went by as the monster repeatedly went for Bell only to be smacked away by Europa and Maxim who defended the rabbit. Soon the sound of the grand bells stopped increasing. Bell was then enveloped in bright white lightning while his sword was covered with a white wind. The effect of his skills and spells only grew as Alfia generously transferred her magic to Bell.

"It's ready!"

They all backed away as the monster stared at Bell with the dozen of its small golden eyes. It screeched again as it tried to go for Bell. The bunny saw the monster coming but made no attempt to dodge. Instead he aimed for the sky, making sure that there was nothing behind the were-worm, particularly Babel, he wouldn't want to accidentally cut it down.

"Take this!"

The blade of his sword was covered in a white light which then expanded, making the blade grow bigger and longer. Wielding the massive blade of white light, Bell swung vertically down. The white column came down on the giant worm slicing it straight down the middle of its long body.

A line was drawn straight down the worm, which marked the splitting line. With flames and lightning sizzling from the drawn line, the body of the worm was split apart. The surface of that had been touched from the blade was burning with white flames and arcs of lightnings.

The two halves fell away from each other, each landing on a home and flattening it with a loud crash which broke the windows of the adjacent buildings. The people watched in complete awe as the massive beast was killed in one attack.

'I-I can't b-believe it.'

Alise's eyes were bulging to an impossible degree as she witnessed first-hand the impossibility of the task to reach Bell's level of strength.

'Can I really reach such a level?'

The little bunny jumped down the building and onto the corpse of the worm. Inspecting the long body, Bell travelled from tail to head, carefully looking at the body of the legendary beast he thought of a myth. It was an incredible discovery for the little boy who loved the old tales.

Zald poked at the monster's carcass before retrieving a scale of the ancient beast. Him and Maxim carefully observed the scale and were surprised to find out how durable they truly were. They believed that in the hands of a capable smith they'd be able to get a top tier first class armour or weapon.

"Isn't this still too easy?"

Europa walked up to the two men inspecting yet another victim of Bell's growth.

"Yea, surely they didn't think we wouldn't be able to beat something like this."

"It was probably a mistake."

Everyone turned to the scene of a five years old bunny sat surrounded by blood, innocently playing with a green pearl in his hand. His pure smile radiated with happiness as his eyes shone, focusing on the object in his hand.

"How was all of this a mistake Bell?"

"It wasn't."

Seeing that safety had returned to Orario, the Goddess of justice had left the safety of the Olympus manor. She arrived with Alise and Kaguya at her side just in time to hear the conversation.

"But you just said-"

"What I meant was that the were-worm summoned was a mistake."

"How so? Were they trying to summon something other than the worm thing?"

"No, however just like when you go hunting and you use hunting calls to imitate their sounds and attract them over, you don't know what kind of animal of that specie you will meet. It might be an adult, a child or maybe an elder."

"So then they didn't expect to get a weak version, is that what you're saying?"

"They knew of the possibility, they just hoped for better."

"Can you tell how strong that one was in general?"

"I never saw one, but going by what I read then that would definitely be an infant."

"Holy Zeus, this thing is an infant?"

"The oldest ones are said to be more than a thousand years old."

"Holy sweet mama. These things truly are unbelievable. Good thing we didn't meet an adult."

"True. However it would be very unlikely for them to appear or to fall for such petty tricks."

"How so?"

Alise sat next to Bell looking at the spherical jewel he was playing with.

"It's never been mentioned but I read in an old text from the ruins that uncle Flint visited that the were-worms develop consciousness."

"What?!"

"That's right. Once they start becoming adults, they will develop consciousness like any other human or demi-human race. Not only that but they are inherently stronger the longer they live."

"How strong?"

"Well, since they are ancient beasts, I'd say they can evolve to become beasts that are no weaker than ancient divine beasts such as Antares or Nidhogg."

"?!"

"Based on the stories, the difference between Antares and Nidhogg, and the were-worms is that they aren't senseless monsters that will destroy and kill everything in sight, but rather they are very calm beasts. Actually, now that I think about it based on the records, there are five members that are classed as the strongest. Though they might not be stronger than Nidhogg and maybe Antares, they shouldn't be too weak. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been named the five worm Gods."

"There are five worm Gods?"

"Yes, they say that the reason behind that is that they devoured five Gods who had ventured there to exterminate them."

Bell's attention switched from the pearl to Astraea before nodding.

"That means that this happened recently?"

"The records were only two hundred years old."

"Wait, who wrote them?"

"No clue, but it certainly is weird. No one should have survived so I don't know how there are records on those events."

Alise then frantically interjected.

"No, no, no. Slow down a minute, didn't you just say that they devoured five Gods?!"

"Yes, that is correct. Like any monster, they have the ability to rob the Gods of their arcanum and become very powerful. That's how they managed to become as strong as the ancient divine beasts. By stealing the Godly abilities."

"What? Astraea how come you're not worried about this?"

"Well Alise, the thing is that this isn't necessarily uncommon. Actually some Gods wanted to make powerful monsters have used their fellow deities to make this happen."

Alise was shocked by the revelation of the cruelty of these divine beings.

"If trouble arises then a Familia would be dispatched to deal with the threat, the God sent back to heaven and the matter buried under the ground. If the worms haven't caused any problems then we have no reason to intervene."

"So then … will the worm Gods be made that we killed an infant?"

"No. The infants are always left behind to grow by themselves until they develop a consciousness before returning to the hive, which is what the house of all the were-worms are called. Whether they die or survive is left up to them."

"Good, then no retaliation is to be expected."

"By the way Astraea do we know which Gods have been devoured?"

The Goddess turned to look at the cute rubellite gaze but shook her head.

"Plenty of Gods go disappearing here and there. There isn't really a way to know who devoured. We can only hope that it wasn't any of the powerful Gods. But most are either here in Orario or haven't descended from heaven yet. But maybe we can tell by the names of the worm Gods?"

"There are no references of their names. They are always referred to as the five great ones in the texts."

"Bell, what would you say our chances are against a worm God are?"

"Umm, even if you ask I don't really have an answer uncle Zald. I have never seen them, Antares or Nidhogg. I really don't have a reference to go by. Old myths always exaggerate or are never accurate enough. But making a very random guess then I'd say we have nearly no chance to defeat one. Much less five of them."

"Well … that's not optimistic."

"No, it's realistic. Well … as realistic as it gets."

The news were luckily heard only by the executives of the Zeus and Hera Familia and by Astraea and her girls. If the public were to learn this, then there would be mass panic spreading without a doubt.

"By the way, what is that thing in your hand Bell?"

Alise's eyes had focused again on the small green sphere in his hand.

"A world bead."

"A what?"

"It's a magical item that can be found within the were-worms. It is very useful but normally impossible to use since the bead will attach itself to the soul of the person who is recognized as the master and is incredibly hard to force it recognize someone else as the master unless the current owner willingly does so. Moreover, it will break when the master dies, making it impossible hard to steal it."

"Then how is it in your hand?"

"Because the infant has no consciousness as of right now. So it still hadn't recognized it as its master."

"Ha, you seem pretty interested in that."

"I am. It is something I need for a special project of mine. I never knew if they existed nor where to find it. Initially the plan was to create an artificial version, I didn't expect to find one here."

"Then why does the worm have it?"

"It is rumoured that they were born from the world tree, which is why they naturally develop them in their bodies."

"Well, it seems like today you've profited a lot."

"I did. Now let's see if I can get it to recognize me as the master."

Everyone watched carefully but nothing happened. Only Freya and Bell could see or feel what was happening. Bell felt the bead in his hand interact with his soul interact as if trying to understand and evaluate the soul of the five years old boy. Freya from her place could see this happening as spiritual tendrils of the green sphere in Bell's hands extended towards his white soul.

She watched as Bell's soul was accepted and overpowered the sphere. Allowing itself to morph to accommodate the soul of Bell, the tendrils turned white. This was also witnessed by Bell and the people around as the world bead began turning a brilliant white. The green became lighter and lighter until it became grey then white.

Seeing Bell's excited smile was a clear sign to everyone around him that whatever the process was, it had succeeded. This meant that Bell was now the owner of the world bead. Which now made everyone wonder, what was the use of this exotic item?

"So, now that it worked, what will you use it for?"

Bell looked at Astraea and smiled innocently.

"That's a secret."

A blink, then another. Then the Goddess registered Bell's words and started pouting.

"Mou, that's unfair Bell. Can't you tell me?"

"Nope. It's a secret surprise for all of you."

"Alright then. We'll deal with the situation here. You already thought in the arena so you must be tired so you go back and rest."

"Okay!"

Bell gave an energetic wave with his hand which made it hard to believe that he was tired despite the two fights he had been in. The bunny left with a thunderous explosion as he used his lightning enchantment to quickly leave. Alise and Kaguya kept starting where Bell had been.

"Don't feel down. Bell has been different from the moment he was born."

"But … how can we ever catch up to him. Every time we see him he's stronger than before."

"You're goal is to be by his side, you don't need to be as strong as he is to do that. But that doesn't mean that you can slack off either. If you fall too behind then you will only be a pair of side characters that support him from the back and will never catch his attention."

"Then we'll work even harder!"

"That's good. I'm sure Alfia will be willing to teach you."

.

Bell travelled towards the Olympus manor but stopped halfway before his destination. His gaze moved was almost blank as he stared at the large building in the distance. His head turned and proceeded to look at the eastern wall.

"Should be there."

Changing direction, the blue lightning streak resumed travelling. The air cracked as the human transformed into a lightning travelled thousands of meders in seconds. The blue lightning vanished as Bell came to a stop. Without a sound he landed on the battlements of the eastern wall that surrounded the city of Orario.

His gaze scanned the surroundings, carefully scrutinizing the ground at the feet of the tall wall below him as if searching for something. He stared intently, almost seeming certain that something was there, something he needed to find.

"I know you're there."

Nothing happened for a moment, but soon the ground shook in the same way that it had before when the explosions had gone off before. The earth shattered as a large figure emerged from the ground. It raised its body but didn't go above Bell's body, to avoid being spotted by anyone in the city.

Another were-worm appeared but its appearance was different. Unlike the brown worm from before this one had dark blue armoured skin and had bright glowing blue gems covering the entirety of its armoured shell. Its eyes glimmering in a bright cyan light. It's body was at least ten times as thick as that of the infant. It also didn't seem like even a tenth of its length had emerged from the ground and it was already taller than the infant he killed.

(A/N: Once you read its name things will be a little clearer I'm just making a note to say that I know this is not how this worm looks in Destiny but its just remade to my liking.)

"Curious child. Small but clever."

It's voice was deep and raspy but powerful and terrifying. He spoke in short and broken sentences but with no hidden meanings. It made Bell feel as if speaking to a an omnipotent being, a ruler, a God.

"I heard you. You know much. Yet you lied about us. Who are you? To hide us … from your kin."

"I did not lie. I simply believed it was best to not tell them about how they are always secretly supervised. I'm Bell by the way, who are you?"

"I am Xol, will … of the thousands."

"These records are very detailed, how were they made."

"There are those who came … to our land. To destroy … the hive. We eradicated them. Made them our slaves. They … made the records … for us."

"I see. Seeing as you have a title, what are you?"

"As you said … one of the five … great hive Gods."

Bell's eyes widened as he realized the danger that stood in front of him. The records never made mention of the names, so it was shocking to discover that the one in front of him was a hive God.

"Will you attack the city?"

"No."

The response was short and to the point but it made Bell sigh in relief.

"You seem … interested in us."

"Of course I am. You are mythical beasts. However, I need to be able to learn how to use this."

Bell then showed the world bead to the Godly were-worm.

"You know … of the bead. Why ask us?"

"Because no one other than a were-worm will know how to use it. Even more so a millennial were-worm."

"I will … teach you."

The bunny's eyes shone brilliantly, to the point that had Xol possessed eyebrows, he'd arch one in curiosity.

"Really?!"

"I will. You too … will do something … for me."

"Alright, sounds fair."

"For now … take this. I will teach … you. In the future … I will … request more … of your aid."

Opening its octagonal mouth Bell saw how instead of a mouth like the infant were-worm there seemed to be a massive blue sapphire which glowed with incredible vigour. How it ate Bell didn't know but wasn't about to ask as his attention was taken away by the God. From the blue sapphire an object materialized.

The glowing object took the shape of a shaft with a large head. As the glow died down it revealed a spear. The spear was white and red, made to fit the little rabbit perfectly. The spear floated away from the jewel in the mouth of Xol and made its way into Bell's hands.

The shaft looked to be made out of a white wood with a rugged surface, but as Bell grabbed the spear, he could tell by the feeling. It wasn't wood, but bones. At the bottom of the shaft a small red bladed shaped pommel finished the shaft. At the head of the spear, the blade extended forwards turning from a brilliant vermillion red to a pure white colour.

Jutting out of the blade halfway down were four more blades, each in a symmetrical position which made the shape of a cross. The four razor sharp jutting ends extended both ways and were pointed towards the tip of the long spearhead. To top it all off, a large brilliant rubellite was at the centre of the spearhead.

"This is … the Hive Queller. I gift you … this weapon. Learn to use it."

"WOAH! This weapon looks amazing. Did you make it? And don't you require something?"

"I have … made the weapon. Now, only keep us … secret. Now listen … I will tell you … about the world bead."

"Alright, I'll make sure to learn how to use it. I'll also keep your name, our meeting and connection a secret."

"Good. Now …"

.

Bell stood on the battlements staring at the massive hole in the ground. The sun was about to fall and Xol was long gone. His gaze fell down to the spear in his hand which had been generously granted to him by the worm God. Bell wondered why he gave him the weapon but only assumed that he'd find the answer at a later date.

Bell as smart and witty as he was, he was still a child. He didn't know how to feel, terrified, excited, shocked or whatever emotion one was supposed to feel. Awe maybe? The little bunny didn't know, but he knew that he'd keep his word even if he wasn't comfortable with keeping something hidden from his Familia. However he couldn't go back on his word, it was a necessary action.

With Xol gone all that was left was the huge hole, which Bell was sure that no one would notice or question. If someone did, then he was sure he could manage to get away by suggesting that it was done by the were-worm. Which in theory wouldn't be a lie since it was a were-worm that made the hole, just not the same one that everyone would think about.

The sun had sunk below the horizon and the day had ended. Despite the destruction involved, the city was in a partying mood. The invasion had been repelled, the monster killed, the Wargame won and night had descended. It probably was for the best anyways.

With nothing else to do Bell made sure that no one was around before silently leaving under the cover of night. Without using his lightning enchantment it took much longer, but his target soon came in view. Checking for the guards of the Olympus manor Bell snuck past them and entered his room through the window. There were still a couple of hours before dinner, since he was truly exhausted he took this time to take a nap.

.

"Bell!"

The little bunny awoke to the sound of Zald's voice calling out his name.

"Dinner is ready, let's go."

"Okay!"

His energy had returned apparently returned in full after that nap. With his cheery attitude back, Bell skipped his way to the door and swung it open.

"Seems you recovered. Come on, Hera, Ganesha, Astraea, Freya and Hermes Familias are all here. After all you and Atraxia scored a huge victory, plus you saved the city. Gotta celebrate that kid."

"Let's go then!"

Zald followed behind with a loud laugh which alerted everyone in the majestic dining room of the manor to the arrival of the two last members.

"About time you old lug!"

"Ah shut it Hera, Bell was sleeping."

The boy aforementioned was instantly swarmed by everyone who began congratulating the bunny for his incredible deeds. With that the party began, food and beverages were served in heaps, more than enough for the thousands of people in the room.

Curiously enough, Bell seemed to have taken a liking to Ganesha and his stories. This was all much to the displeasure of many girls who were all unceremoniously ignored by Bell. Luckily this time the party went on without a hitch and night progressed. With the party coming to an end, many left to go home or retire to their respective bedrooms.

This finally left Alfia, Riveria, Alyssa, Astraea, Alise, Kaguya, Shakti and Freya with time and space to dedicate to their belove bunny. With all of them exaggeratedly drunk, to the exception of Alise and Kaguya since they were underaged, the girls became exceedingly bold. So much that they'd die of shame if they knew what happened that night. But that is a story for another time.

.

After the worm died and the attack failed, the Necro Phantoms completely died down and retreated. No news of them appeared and their existence was completely forgotten. Bell's falna kept growing, getting closer to yet another level up. Nearing the date as well was his birthday. Week by week time slowly passed until only two days were left until his sixth birthday.

Bell was being accompanied by the captains and vice-captains of the Zeus, Hera, Freya, Astraea, Ganesha, Loki, Hermes and the newly appointed captain of the Hephaestus Familia, Tsubaki. Alfia, Zald and Alyssa were also tagging along as Bell ventured down into the dungeon to achieve his level up.

Normally the water capital of the twenty seventh floor wasn't a floor for fresh level ones such as Alise and Kaguya to be entering but defended by the first class adventurers, there was no danger for them. Bell's required feat was also unbelievably dangerous for even a level four. And that was to slay the monster rex of the floor, the Amphisbaena.

.

"Remember Bell, try not to use Argonaut for a while. There is no point if you use that overpowered skill to defeat it. Use small charges at the start and keep fighting it until you feel like there is no other way. If that somehow fails then we'll come help you so don't worry."

"Got it!"

The group of adventurers all stood outside the room of the monster rex. They all looked at Bell and wished him luck before distancing themselves and waiting for the battle to start. Unlike usual this time Bell didn't intend to use his tachi. Meaning that he also wouldn't be able to use his elemental skill since it only works with katanas. Instead he grabbed the spear on his back.

No one had questioned Bell about the beautiful weapon and its origins. The weapon Bell showed to them on the day of their victory in the Wargame had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. They knew not how he got it but they trusted Bell to know what he was doing. There was confusion among the group when Bell raised the sword and slammed it into the ground, leaving it there stuck in the rock as he proceeded with only the spear in hand.

With a powerful roar, the body of water in front of Bell exploded as a large twin headed dragon jumped out. Its scales glistened under the light of the crystals in the water capital. It's pair of red and blue eyes glared at the little almiraj that dared to challenge him to a fight. The monster was at least twenty meders high, with two long necks and a few meders wide.

Bell remembered his lessons on the monster rex and knew that he wouldn't be able to use much magic. It's left head, with blue eyes, shot blue flames that would burn even in water while the right one, with red eyes, is the reason that magic wouldn't work. Since the right head unleashed a red mist that would diffuse magic.

It also was level five in terms of strength and shouldn't be allowed to enter the water as it would become even more dangerous due to its aquatic ability. However, the monster wasn't very clever and it was not as fast most level four adventurers, which made it easy to dodge.

The monster didn't waste time and spread its red mist through the floor rendering all magic useless. This put Bell at a huge disadvantage but he had already prepared and expected this situation. The only way to disperse this red mist would be to disable the red eyed head.

Bell stared at the beautiful spear in his hand. A gift of Xol, a worm God. The little bunny stared at it and was sure that there was something special about the weapon besides its quality. The grip on the spear tightened as he remembered the words of the deity.

'Learn to use it.'

Using his knowledge, that he had gathered through the records and what Xol had told him, Bell quickly went through the possibilities of the weapon. He thought about the history of the hive and the were-worms. How they worshiped darkness and devoured light.

"Bell!"

Alise and Kaguya shouted his name as the dragon opened the maws of its sapphire eyed head and unleashed its blue flames. Everyone watched with bated breath as flames drew closer to the bunny but were shocked to see Bell raise the spear before slamming it down into the ground right in front of him. Unlike when he slammed the tachi into the ground something happened.

The red gems on the spear started glowing and just before the flame could hit him, they were all absorbed into the gems. Everyone looked bewildered, even the monster rex was confused as to where his flames had vanished to. Pointing the blade at the monster, the blue flames were shot out of the tip but in a more focused ray than the wide attack of the Amphisbaena.

The monster had no time to react to the beam that slammed into its face, melting away the eyes of the mist spewing head. The viewers were even more surprised as Bell dashed forwards with explosive force. In an attempt to attack again using its breath attack, the monster opened its blue eyed head to shoot its flames, but the little rabbit did not allow that.

He launched the spear with all his strength just as the flame formed in the mouth. Hitting the fiery orb, the attack exploded in the mouth of the Amphisbaena, dealing massive damage as the head was completely blown apart.

However, as a level five monster and a monster rex at that, it wasn't that easy to defeat it. Bell hadn't accounted for the monsters incredible hearing. He let his guard down and that was the moment he found himself within the range of the monsters neck, the dragon heard the subtle sounds of footsteps and swung its blind head towards him.

Caught unprepared, the almiraj was hit with the strength of a level five and sent flying into a wall. That hit alone would have instantly killed anyone who wasn't at least a high level four. Luckily Bell had always been stronger than his given level, otherwise that single mistake might have resulted in another victim of the monster rex of the water capital.

"Bell!"

Alfia and Riveria rushed towards the falling figure of Bell while Zald, Finn, Otter, Allen, Gareth and Shakti prepared themselves to demolish the monster rex with unrestrained rage for hurting Bell.

"Stop!"

Everyone's head whipped around and looked at Bell who slowly got up and tried to recover from the hit. One of his hands was supporting his side while the other was on the ground. Pushing himself off the ground Bell got up but it was obvious that he struggled a lot.

"Raaaargh!"

The monster rex charged towards Bell causing Alfia to shout Bell's name again. Bell however focused on the monster in front of him. Just as the monster reached him, Bell chanted his lightning enchantment and vanished in a flash, reappearing next to his spear which had landed in the middle of the room.

"Stand back, this is my fight."

Deciding that it was time Bell started charging Argonaut to give the final blow to the Amphisbaena. The monster spun around and glared at Bell. The toll of the grand bell had alerted the monster and though it couldn't see the boy clad in white and blue light, it could feel the danger that he emanated.

The men of the group watched with large proud smiles while the ladies were all watching in awe at the perseverance of the five years old. He was without a doubt the bravest, most foolish as well as the coolest rabbit in the whole Gekai and anyone would have acknowledged it upon seeing this scene. Though Alfia and Riveria wished he was a little less reckless.

Bell could feel his body aching from the hit he received. He definitely had broken something and exhaustion was catching up to him. Bell's face scrunched up into a frown as the pain became unbearable. But through all of that he never lost his concentration and continued to charge his heroic strike into the spear.

Putting his ability and concentration to the test Bell started counterattacking. He slashed elegantly but ferociously whilst maintaining the heroic charge. It was pushing Bell to his very limit to keep charging without dispersing it or accidentally unleashing it.

He dashed forwards towards the dragon monster as the twin heads shot forwards to snap the bunny in two. Bell saw them coming and leaned back, sliding below the Amphisbaena. As he passed, he used his spear to slice at the legs and the tail just as his momentum died.

Bell spun around and jumped back to his feet as the monster roared in pain with its heads reared back. Bell kept on dodging for five minutes, occasionally slicing the beast's skin when he had the chance. The charge was taking longer than usual to load as the high speed battle made it hard for Bell to focus.

Despite the difficulty and the crisscross scratched that layered his body, the bunny's focus never wavered. It was truly impressive as it was worrying for Alfia and Riveria. To see him in danger almost made them dash forwards and it required all their will to stop themselves. They knew better than most that it was his fight and everyone needed to push themselves in order to become stronger, Bell more than others.

Bell felt the charging come to an end as he shone brighter than ever and the sound of the grand bell strong enough to be heard all the way up to the eighteenth floor. All was set for the final act, so Bell willed the white glow to move from his body into his weapon. The spear now shone brightly, to a blinding degree.

The Amphisbaena went in for snap with its jaws but missed as the bunny expertly jumped up, high in above the large body of the monster rex. The monster growled defiantly at Bell but knew it was the end as Bell launched the spear.

Like a star falling down from the sky, the shining weapon landed with a devastating impact on the monster's body. The explosion that ensued unleashed an explosion of light and an impact that caused the entire dungeon to shake.

The coalition of adventurers that was accompanying Bell slowly removed their hands, which were shielding their eyes from the light that had burst from the attack. The dust cleared allowing them to see the result of his attack.

Their eyes bulged as a massive hole had formed at the centre of the room. They walked to the edge to see that the spear had pierced through the stone floor of the water capital down to the twenty eighth floor, but that wasn't all. The impact was strong enough to collapse a large area around the corpse of the monster rex of the twenty eighth floor and had send it down to the twenty ninth.

At the centre of the large sinkhole was the corpse of the Amphisbaena sprawled out under Bell. The little bunny was on his knee, leaning on the spear that had pierced through thick scaly armour of the white dragon.

Alfia, Riveria and Zald were the first to not wait any longer. They jumped down the two floors high hole and landed next to Bell. Alfia moved next to the bunny to see if he was okay and started shaking his shoulder as he didn't respond.

"Bell? Bell?"

Leaning to down sideways, a reassuring smile crept onto her face as she saw that he had passed out leaning on the shaft of the weapon. With a gentle touch, her hand cupped his cheek while Riveria started her healing spell on Bell.

"Is he good, Alfia?"

"Don't worry Zald. He's out cold."

"No wonder, after a strike like that. Boy is Bell full of surprises."

Alfia brought the little head into her bosom and she ruffled his hair as the rest of the group caught up. Alise and Kaguya came rushing to his side to see if he was okay. The rest of the group was reflecting on the battle and were amazed by Bell's performance.

"That skill of his is terrifying."

"Well, Zeus called it the heroic skill. The strongest skill to turn any battle into a glorious victory."

"Haha, the lad certainly proved the power of the skill."

"Is Bell okay?"

Seeing the worried faces of Alise and Kaguya brought a smile to Riveria and Alfia. Normally they didn't like girls being near Bell but there plenty of reasons why they liked the two. One of them being that Bell's little harem needed a girl or two of his age, though they'd keep that a secret.

"Don't worry, other than the hit he took at the start he only has a few scratches and is exhausted by using his skill. As powerful as that skill is, the drawbacks are pretty serious. It drains him of his stamina or mind, depending by the type of attack he uses."

"Still, that skill is amazing. It completely destroyed two floors … how can we even compare to Bell?"

"Alise, as we've already told you. Don't worry about that. Just focus on doing your best. Besdies, Bell will accept you for who you are, not what you are capable. As long as you keep that kindness of yours you won't have to worry about Bell turning you away."

"Really?"

"Yes. Now let's head back. It's likely that tomorrow we're not only celebrating Bell's birthday but his level up as well."

.

The journey upwards was uneventful as the large group of first class adventurers caused all monsters to run. Bell was rested on Alfia's back, his cue little face nestled in between her shoulder and neck. The close proximity and the feeling of Bell's warm breath brought a smile on her face.

The occasional monsters that did show up were used as training targets for Alise and Kaguya who were instructed by the senior members of the group. Through their teachings the two girls improved a lot, learning to efficiently fight monsters. Their attacks became more precise and the two learnt how correctly judge whether to block or dodge.

Kaguya who was a member of the Gojouno clan, a skilled and powerful house of the Far East, was much more skilled with her blade. She had been taught a complicated and powerful technique from a young age, which gave her an advantage over Alise. However, the redhead too didn't lag behind and with her talent learnt to handle a blade fairly well.

Though their abilities were very much dwarfed by Bell's haven defying talent, they were certainly an impressive duo. If they continued to be nurtured properly, then Astraea was sure to rise and become a powerful Familia.

By the setting of the sun, the group had arrived on the surface, leaving the dark abyss behind them. Deciding to accompany the Zeus Familia, Zald was followed back to the Olympus manor. Standing at the gate waiting for them was Zeus, who greeted them with a wide smile.

"From your smiles I guess that my boy Bell has succeeded?"

"You had to see it old man. The lad tore through two floors of the dungeon."

"Hahaha, as expected of Bell. He will grow to be the greatest hero of this age. No of all past ages! Hahaha!"

Zeus's words were no surprise to anyone present and they knew he wasn't joking either. If only they knew what the future of the Zeus Familia entailed for them.

"Come, come. Let us see if this was worthy enough for a level up."

The large group filed in to see that each of their patron Gods were already in and waiting for their return. Following Zeus to his room, Alfia deposited Bell on the bed as the God exposed his back and updated his falna. Everyone held their breath as they saw the process happen. As Zeus finished a smile crept on his face.

"It seems Orario has a new level four from today onwards."

To Be Continued~

So, how was it?

Was the story up to standards like the previous chapters. I understand which deviating the story too much might not make it enjoyable since I am bringing many elements from other stories, movies and animes into this one.

Is Bell too op? I know many said that is not the case for Bell, but still wondering.

Is the introduction of Xol too much?

Do you have an idea where I'm going with the world bead?

Bell is nothing like a 5 y/o but he was different from birth so I really don't think there is a necessity to change his personality. I simply stick to canon Bell once he is rescued and his mental wounds healed.

That is all, I hope you did enjoy. As always, for any questions you may have leave a review or PM me.

See you next time~ :)
