Chapter 225: A Spat with Bella

She was wearing a gray sweatshirt, with gray sweats and black boots. Her hair was sloppily put in a hair tie. Bella pounded her fists on my chest, and she half-shouted and half-cried, "why didn't you let me meet her?"

Oh, she found out that Alice came, but she left without saying a word.

I frowned. This is one aspect of Bella that I did not like. She tends to jump into conclusions too fast without giving the other person the chance to speak. I don't like to be accused of something, so that got me a bit ticked off. When I opened my mouth to say something, she cut me off by saying, "why did you make her leave? You have no right to do that! I don't care who you are, but she was my friend!"

She fell on the ground half-screaming and half-crying. She looked up to me with eyes full of despair and anger as tears were falling on her face. She continued, "don't you know how much I wanted to speak to her? I have been waiting for her to talk to me all this time, but you pushed her away just to spite me?"

I said firmly, "I didn't. I actually stopped her from leaving because you deserved…closure from the Cullens. She said she is going to write a letter to you soon, and she is going to ask the family to do the same. He..doesnt know that she came to visit, and Alice said she is very sorry for how she left you. He..made them leave like that. She loves you and cares for you very much, so she is going to contact you soon."

She sniffled, "r-really?"

I nodded. She cried some more, and I left her by the door. I was still pretty pissed from the way she treated me, and she has been coddled up too much. I am not going to baby her. I sat down on the couch and gave a huge sigh. She finally got herself up, closed the door, and sat at the couch far away from me.

I stayed quiet, then she asked, "why?"

I responded, "why what?"

She said angrily, "why you didn't let me see her?"

I said, "because we don't need any more wolves to phase. I am sorry, Bella, but this is for the greater good. At least, you would be able to get a letter from Alice."

Bella argued, "it's not their fault! It is just in their nature; they can't help it."

I asked snidely, "True, but they don't have to live here, Bella. They have all the money in the world to live somewhere else. Do you want more people's lives to get ruined by becoming a shape shifter in their youth? You want kids to be running around as wolves?"

She stayed quiet and she mumbled, "no.."

I said, "exactly."

she added, "I..just want to hear from them.."

I said, "..I know, but they promised to get back to you soon."

She groaned in frustration. She said to me, "Alice wouldn't have to if I had the chance to meet her! I could have an actual interaction with her, but now all I get..is a meager letter?..Am I worth that much?"

I said, "No..you are worth more than that, but you are letting how they abandoned you to define who you are. Just because they abandoned you cold-heartedly, it doesn't mean you are not worthy of any love. Charlie loves you. Jacob loves you. Renee loves you..Even though you may see that their love isn't enough or great like..him and the Cullens, but they still..loved you nevertheless…Somehow you behave as if you are so starved for love, so you latched onto Jacob. He fed into your insecurity, but instead of strengthening you, it only enabled you to remain helpless. You aren't helpless. Not only that, you still seek love, validation from the Cullens..if you really want to move on from the Cullens, you need to let go of that idea that only their love makes you 'alive' and 'whole'."

I said if because I still don't know if the Cullens ever going to come back for Bella. Bella truly wants to let go of the Cullens, she needs to let of seeking their affection. Because they abandoned her and she still seeking it from them, she isn't moving on sadly.

She shook her head vigorously in denial, "no..no. He..he made them leave. They wouldn't had if he made them leave."

I responded slowly, "Bella..no one can't make you do anything. Even though they are being very convincing and forceful, it is still you at the end who make the decision. They all decided to follow Edward's lead without checking in on you…I don't agree their heartlessness, they in their own way did it to show their love for you."

I added, "…when you went off the cliff dive, what did ..'he' say?"

She sobbed, "he wants me to live, and he l-loves me."

She put her legs up to her chest, and she hid her face between he knees. She started to dry sob, and her shoulder was trembling. She cried, "if I had known, then I would've just continued on my life until I graduated from high school and go find him and the Cullens.. I..wouldn't have these nightmares..."

I frowned. Uhm, no. She is still gonna forgive him despite of everything?

I released a breath out of frustration, and then the door was threw open. Sam stormed inside, and when he saw Bella curled up in the couch away from. He growled lowly, so he said tensely, "Bella, I think it is best for you to leave."

She lifted her head up, and she asked, "w-what?"

His jaw clenched, "your father is waiting for you back home."

She challenged him, "why? what did you do? Did you tell him?"

He snarled at her, "The council and I decided to notify your father of your..behaviors recently. Because Charlie is an honorable man, you are still be treated with respect, but know well that we are no longer going to tolerate your behaviors. What you did last night was inexcusable. Next time you make stunt that puts the lives of others in jeopardy just to satisfy your..hallucinations or yourself, consider yourself no longer welcome to the tribe. We told him of your reckless behaviors, with the bikes lately especially that stunt you pulled last night."

Her mouth was half-opened. Her face was going slightly pink from the rage that she is feeling realizing who spoke up about the bikes.

She spat furiously, "Jacob betrayed me!"

She turned to me, and she said with her finger pointing at me, "it's you! You did this! You took everything from me. You got Jacob turned against me. You made Alice leave, and now you are going to get my own father against me?"

Sensing that things going to go south. I lunged forward out of the couch, and I clenched onto Sam's waist. He was trembling hard, and he did moved forward as well. I don't know how I intuitively knew that Sam was aboutta lose his cool with Bella. Hell, even I was losing my patience with her.

I shouted, "Bella, just go."

I heard some shuffling behind me. I think she hurt herself because she fell on the ground, but she quickly got up and ran out the door. I heard her truck loudly turning on with a loud roar, and she speed herself out of the driveway. Once I no longer hear her truck, Sam's trembling finally stopped.

He scooped me up below me, and he sat down on the couch with me on his lap. On my knees, I was facing directly his face. His jaw was still clenched, and his eyes were beaming gold. I knew he was still upset, so I thought the best thing I could do.

Give him physical touch.

I brushed his hair back with my hand. His eyes closed from the sensation, and he was slowly releasing tension from his expression. I decided to give him small little kisses around his face. I kissed his eyebrows, nose, cheeks, and finally his lips. I felt his lips forming a small smile, and he kissed back with passion and eagerness.

I said softly, "thank you…for letting Bella to still come to the reservation instead of banishing her even when she showed so much disrespect toward you and made things harder for us.."

He finally opened his eyes. They were back to his normal brown eyes. he dropped his forehead to touch mine. He sighed, "that girl..she needs help..and…"

He looked up to me with pleading expression, "I..wasn't going to hurt Bella. I was about to pick her up and take her to her truck.."

Oh man. What I did hurt Sam. I made the situation worser than it is. I sighed for myself. I couldn't help but think that Sam is gonna lose control due to the book version of Sam, he lost control and ripped half of Emily's face off. I still had that small hesitancy, but I should've trusted this Sam more…

I apologized sincerely, "I'm sorry.."

He sighed, "it's okay..but is there something that tells you to not trust my control around others."

I had my mouth tightly shut, and I said, "so..far no, so it was bad on my part."

He looked deeply into my eyes, sensing that I won't say exactly right, but he is partially satisfied with the answer that he got.

I asked, "so, how did the council meeting go?"
