Lauren sipped her coffee while she looked out of the window of the Clubhouse to see a very animated Regnant Guard. Her eyes narrowed and she called for Bas Cibor.

"Yes, Milady?" Bas Cibor prompted.

"What's going on outside?" Lauren asked. Bas Cibor went to the window, looked out then smiled. It was one of the few times Lauren had ever seen Bas Cibor smile.

"The Juggerbol game was last night, Milady." Bas Cibor replied.

"Ah, yes. I should've realized." Lauren said as it dawned.

"What game?" Crystal asked as she galloped down the stairs.

"Juggerbol." Lauren replied.

"Juggerbol? What's that?" Crystal asked as the Seneschal handed her a cup of coffee. "You guys are amazing." The Seneschal bowed and returned their attention to preparing breakfast.

"A warrior's game, Milady!" Bas Cibor replied.

"Bo told me she watched it last night with Emilia, taking the Beast out for a spin." Lauren said.

"I thought you said she was going to store it away?" Crystal asked.

"Still working on that." Lauren said.

"So who played?" Crystal asked.

"It was the Iron Hordes vs. the Jackal Riders. Their Majesties' children play for the Iron Hordes." Bas Cibor replied.

"Quite the team names." Crystal replied.

"And from what I understand quite the broken bones." Lauren added.

"It went into the Death Half!" Bas Cibor said proudly.

"Is that literal?" Crystal asked tentatively.

"It's where they can use their Fae powers." Lauren informed.

"That would've been cool to see." Crystal replied.

"Bo thought it was. She could not stop raving about it this morning during our call. In fact, she raved so much that Char kept raising her fist in the air yelling 'Juggerbol!'"

"Next match will be the Iron Hordes vs. Gracces Hammer!" Bas Cibor said with even more pride.

"I wouldn't mind seeing that match up. I can't wait to see this Presidium one day." Crystal said.

"I want you to come visit after the Installation Ceremony so we can spend time together without all the pomp and circumstance. We can take in a game then." Lauren replied.

"Sounds like a plan." Crystal replied.

"Thank you, Bas Cibor." Lauren said. Bas Cibor offered a slight bow and then went outside to join the other guards.

"So we need to figure out how to justify your presence here." Lauren said as she and Crystal went and sat at the dining table while the Seneschal served them breakfast.

"Actually, I don't think that will be much of a stretch. I need to speak with Evony anyway about the talent list performing at Cramb's this year."

"Are you kidding? With everything that's happening she still manages that?" Lauren asked incredulous.

"I thought she would hand it over to some staff flunkie, but yeah she still manages it all herself. If I were in her shoes, I wouldn't be concerned about my little place." Crystal replied.

"Cramb's is not little anymore. You have the top talent in the world playing there."

"I know, and I need to speak with her about this latest list." Crystal replied.

"Why?"

"I know I'm used to having the world's top talent but even I was floored when I saw that Lynn's Trinity would be performing at Cramb's this year."

"You're kidding?" Lauren said as she straightened up. "They're Bo's favorite Country band.

"Really? Bo likes Country?"

"Floored me too when I first learned that about her."

"Maybe Lynn's Trinity is one of Evony's." Crystal said as she made air quotes.

"Please let that not be the case." Lauren replied. Crystal chuckled. "When are they supposed to perform?"

"Eight months from now."

"Dammit! Bo would love to see them."

"She will be the next Queen. I'm sure she can make at least one night."

"Even an evening out now for Bo is quite the effort," Lauren said as she did an expansive wave, "As you can see."

"I can see."

"Speaking of which how it is being Queen Consort in waiting?" Crystal asked.

"I will never be Queen Consort. At most, Bo's official Companion." Lauren said as she made air quotes.

"That's not right."

"Unfortunately, Fae law. They treat me with respect, yes, but that's because I am Bo's partner and the mother of our children."

"Being the Doctor who helped save the Queen's life isn't exactly cheap either. Do they ever plan to address it? Your marital status with Bo?" Crystal asked.

"During the Convocation."

"Really?"

"The Queen herself plans to raise the question."

"Well, if the Queen raises it then it should pass then, right?" Crystal asked.

"We hope, but then again there are the politics of sovereignty."

"Isn't the Queen's power absolute?"

"She still needs the Parliament of Fae to help her govern."

"Okay, I get it. So speaking of governing and all, how's Bo doing?"

"Bo is adapting. Right now, she's trying to get to know the Ruling Family better, taking turns having lunches and dinners with each of them. She had dinner with Jock the other night, and said it was one the most beautiful dinners she ever attended. It was at the Monadori Sanctuary. The Seer, the Illia, and the Principal Adherents were all in attendance. Afterwards, Jock spent two hours recalling the history of the Sanctuary while they toured it. Bo said she was enthralled the entire time."

"Wow!"

"Bo and Julian related to one another right away, almost naturally. They just get one another. And she trains with Elena and Ariella regularly, but out of all of them Antony is the hardest to read for her. She always smiles, you know, that big Bo bright smile when she's trying to be friendly, but he just returns a look."

"That's the one that was out on a date with Kenzi last night, right?"

"Yep."

"Does he resent Bo?" Crystal asked.

"No. It just seems that's his natural demeanor. He can be congenial, but he is also the most ruthless one of them all. Even his siblings tread carefully around him at times."

"What are his parents like?"

"The Queen Consort is the height of social grace. Emily Post could take lessons from her. The Queen has a strong sense of duty, and a bit of sense of humor. But both of them are exceptionally disciplined and focused. They will do what's needed to protect the Fae Realm."

"A power couple. Respect." Crystal replied.

"And one that is very much in love."

"How long have they been married?"

"Over 1400 years."

"And still in love?"

"Like it was yesterday."

"I have to know their secret."

"You and me both."

Just then Tamsin walked into the Clubhouse with Julia and Clio behind her.

"Hey guys!" Tamsin greeted. Lauren rose from the table and greeted Tamsin with a hug.

"Julia, Clio, this is Crystal, an old friend of Lauren's." Tamsin introduced after she and Lauren broke their hug.

"I'm Clio!" Clio introduced herself with a bright smile and a wave of her hand.

"I'm Julia!" Julia said as she too waved her hand.

"Nice to meet you both." Crystal replied.

"Come join us for breakfast." Lauren waved them all to the table.

"I was looking forward to this the whole way here." Tamsin replied as she quickly sat and Julia and Clio followed suit. The Seneschal began to serve them breakfast.

"The Seneschal are amazing, and their coffee is to die for." Tamsin said.

"Don't let Lise hear you say that. She was hoping this little meeting would've been held at JJI." Julia replied. Tamsin smiled.

"So not to sound rude, but…" Lauren asked.

"Why are they here?" Tamsin finished.

"Not to be rude." Lauren said.

"I brought Julia and Clio into this situation about the purges because it just so happens Clio may have some related information." Tamsin replied.

"How?" Lauren asked. Clio glanced at Julia and Tamsin.

"Some of the details of this whole purge situation matches some of the details of a case I've been tracking and believe they might be related." Clio explained.

"Explain." Lauren prompted.

"There are several individuals who frequent a bar called Club Fantasia. They have been bragging about big changes that will transform everything we know around us." Clio said.

"Were they speaking about the Transition Plan?" Lauren asked.

"I suspect it to be the case. The problem is this was said in mixed company. Club Fantasia is a Fae-owned club, frequented by both Fae and Humans. But unbeknownst to the humans, the club is used as feeding ground for Fae to lure unsuspecting humans. And it's a very attractive allure." Clio replied.

"What do you mean?" Lauren asked.

"It's a role-playing club. You can come in whatever role-play you want, but the…interactions… are restricted to the private rooms. The club is so big and so packed that if a few humans go into the back rooms and never emerge, well, no one is the wiser. Or cares to be." Clio replied.

"Whom are you tracking?"

"One's name is Orsen. His last name I haven't learned yet, but the other is Chas Marrero." Clio replied.

"I'm sorry their names don't ring a bell." Lauren replied.

"When Clio filled me in on her other case and mentioned both Orsen and Chas's names I had Reed run the names as a matter of routine. Orsen's name didn't come up but Chas's did. We're still trying to find out more information about Orsen, but Chas Marrero is an Agent from the Presidium. He works for Agent Eanes, primary over the North American Continent." Tamsin replied. Lauren's jaw dropped.

"What?" Lauren asked incredulous.

"From what I understand from Chas's drunken frenzies he believes a great reckoning is coming. Not just for the humans but for the Fae as well." Clio replied.

"I can't help but think of the attack on The Regnant here, and now this. Here. On our Plane. Why? What do we have to do with all this?" Lauren queried.

"Not sure yet. But we have thousands of Agents here from the Presidium, and if there's something bigger going on and it involves Agents of the Presidium then we need to uncover it." Tamsin replied.

"Does Dyson, Evony or Stasio know?" Lauren asked.

"No. And I want to keep it that way for now until this proves it itself out more. I need to know if Chas is just being stupid and bragging about the eventual transition plan or if there is something more to it. Besides those guys have the Convocation coming up in less than three weeks. Less things on their plate the better." Tamsin replied.

"Smart thinking." Crystal replied.

"Tamsin always does." Lauren added. Tamsin smiled.

"So what's you next move?" Crystal asked. Tamsin looked to Clio.

"Knock out two birds with one stone. Fancy going undercover?" Tamsin asked Lauren. Lauren responded with a grin then put her hand to her mouth.

"Sorry. I didn't realize how much that suggestion made me happy. Of course!" Lauren said.

"Well, I'm going with you." Crystal said.

"Oh no, Crystal. I asked for your help and I want it, but not like this, going under cover." Lauren protested.

"I'm not leaving my buddy alone to go alone in Club Kentucky Fae Chicken." Crystal replied.

"Well, she wouldn't be alone. Julia and Clio will be with her." Tamsin replied.

"And so will I!" Crystal insisted.

"Really, Crystal I cannot put you at risk like that." Lauren protested again.

"It's already decided! Besides, I'm excited to play some very, very adult role play. So what shall we go as? Oh, wait a minute! I have a fantastic idea!" Crystal replied.
