"Kenzi's gone!"

"What?" Both Bo and Trick said in unison after Beatrice rushed into Bo's offices and reported the news.

"Kenzi's gone!" Beatrice repeated.

'When?" Bo asked.

"Soon after she returned from meeting with His Excellency here. She had a bag in her hand, grabbed a couple of things and then left. Wouldn't tell me where she was going." Beatrice replied.

"Do you think she went back to warn Sturgis?" Bo asked Trick.

"It certainly follows." Trick said. Bo thought for a moment.

"Did you let anyone else know that she was gone?" Bo asked Beatrice.

"No, I came straight here." Beatrice replied. Bo nodded her head.

"I don't know if I should say this, but I'm worried about Kenzi, and she will just have to kill me later." Beatrice said.

"What's that?" Bo prompted.

"She asked me to arrange a meeting to see Savina." Beatrice replied.

"Savina? Savina Yordanka?" Bo asked.

"Yes." Beatrice replied.

"Why would she need to see a Necromancer?" Trick asked.

"Not sure." Bo replied.

"How are we going to explain her absence? She wasn't supposed to leave for another couple weeks, right before the Convocation." Beatrice asked.

"We need to confirm whether she's truly left the Presidium first." Bo replied.

"Let me check with Beverly." Trick said as he stepped off to a corner to contact Beverly.

"Kenzi had a full schedule today to include her preparations brief with the Agency, which was daunting to reschedule because she reports directly to them. I pushed it back to this afternoon, but after that I don't think I can hold back the inquiries. And to make things worse His Serene Highness Antony has already called asking after her. Surely he will call again." Beatrice said. Bo let out an exasperated breath.

"Let's see what Trick finds out first and then we can come up with an explanation for the Agency. But if Antony calls again have him talk to me." Bo replied.

"I will, Your Royal Highness." Beatrice replied. "But what about the rest of the Presidium? Won't they need to be told? And the Queen?"

"I know." Bo replied. Then Trick rejoined them.

"Beverly said none of the transport systems record her as having departed the Presidium." Trick reported.

"That's good, but then again this is Kenzi we're talking about. I am sure she would have figured out a way to abscond from the Presidium." Bo replied. Trick and Beatrice nodded.

"Until we know more let's give Kenzi some time and cover. Beatrice, once we know for sure Kenz is no longer here at the Presidium, inform all whomever that Kenzi departed a little early, that I'm aware, and all inquiries can come to me." Bo added.

"Yes, Your Royal Highness." Beatrice replied. Trick smiled broadly.

"What?"

"You are learning to play the game well." Trick said proudly.

"Between you and trailing The Queen all day I'm bound to pick up a few things." Bo replied.

"Should we let Dyson, Tamsin and Lauren know at least?" Trick asked.

"Not yet. Besides, if we do they would only go looking for her, and we cannot afford the attention with the Convocation so soon. But at least we know of one stop she'll make and that's to Savina's. Perhaps we can catch up to her there. See what's going on." Bo replied.

"Put a tracker on her?" Trick suggested.

"Yeah. I really should go after her myself." Bo replied.

"You can't! Bad enough with Lauren gone, and who, by the way, needs to get back here as soon as possible!" Trick said.

"I know, Trick! Let's get Woods on it. Beatrice, can you get on that one?" Bo replied.

"Of course, Your Royal Highness, but don't you mean to use JJI instead?" Beatrice asked.

"No, let's leave it to Woods. Kenzi's up to something, and so I have to trust she knows what's she doing. Kenzi will holler if she needs help, but right now, I think she just needs some space to do whatever she plans to do." Bo replied. Trick and Beatrice nodded.

"Man, what's in the water? First Lauren and now Kenzi. You two aren't thinking of jumping ship right now are you?" Bo said to Trick and Beatrice. They both made faces.

"I'd better get going. Marik is waiting for me at the Tetrarch." Trick said.

"I better head back too." Beatrice added.

"Let's reconnect if we hear anything, but we also have to trust that Kenzi knows what she's doing." Bo said. Both Trick and Beatrice extended their courtesies and left the Bo's office.

"Willa!" Bo called out. Willa entered the room.

"Everything alright, Your Royal Highness?" Willa asked.

"Why do you ask?" Bo asked a bit more defensively than she intended.

"My apologies, I shouldn't have inquired." Willa replied.

"No, no you're fine. Just some news from back home." Bo replied. Willa looked at her.

"I mean, the County. Still trying to get use to calling the Presidium home." Bo added.

"I understand, Your Royal Highness." Willa replied.

"So what's next in this crazy day?" Bo said brightly.
